I personally didnt like the frames selection! The doctor and staff were great! The frames were over priced, my guess is the brands! They were all high dollar name brands, such as Oakley s and Prada!! It is not a place for people on a budget!! I guess thats why it is on the high dollar side of town! However the Doctor and staff is very good and kind!!!

I ve used Balfour Optical since I was in my teens and now going into early adulthood. I ve seen both Dr. Fitch and Dr. Schaeffer they re BOTH wonderful. They actually listen and care. If you have any questions or concerns they re right on it. I highly recommend both DRS. The staff is just as helpful when it comes to contacts and frames. Y all rock!!!!!!

Dr. Schaffer is the best. She always takes the time to address all of my concerns (without taking forever) and makes multiple suggestions, so I am not limited to one option. The front desk staff is so sweet! They always get me in at the last minute, due to my own poor planning. The techs are quick and professional! Their equipment is the most advanced Ive encountered and the technician was good at what she does prepping and testing to get the Dr prepared. Dr Schaffer is nice and is the first Dr to tell me I shouldnt do what I hoped for my eyes. The Dr also gave me practice eye care advice. A drawback is Balfour doesnt let you have a trial pair. In my case contacts. Every other optometrist Ive been to has, but the advanced equipment was my absolute highest criteria so Ill stay with them. Dr Schaffer showed me why the way my eye is shaped doesnt make for a good fit for contacts but I sure wanted to try.

This was a first in the almost 70 years of wearing glasses. I received an excellent examination and evaluation. Then I was given a choice of coming back in either 6 mos.or a year depending on my concerns. When asked what the doctor advised, she said she thought yearly would suffice at this time. She reported that my eyes had changed very little and I could get new glasses if my lens were damaged but it wasn t necessary for my vision. How refreshing to find an honest person. I have had very slight changes in the past but always had to get new glasses. When I checked out, I was a cash customer and received a discount. The checkout person asked if I had Medicare and when she found out I did she worked it out and I paid nothing for the visit. Does this even happen. I have paid cash before but was never asked about Medicare and have always been charged. I am extremely pleased with the service but most of all with the honesty and courtesy I was afforded. Even though I was not a previous customer, the Balfour doctors were able to help me within minutes of calling about a small piece of metal stuck in my eye. Dr. Hollingsworth and the whole group at Balfour Optical are my personal eye care providers. I know that my eyes are thoroughly examined by a knowledgeable and skilled professional and the group also has many options for both contacts and glasses. Dr. Ryan Hollingsworth not only helps in Amarillo, but has made it possible for the Borger area to have vision care. He is the only medically trained eye doctor in Borger. I went to get a new glasses and contact prescription for myself and glasses for my daughter. They had done a good job last year. So at the end of the visit they fit me with my new contact prescription and make my daughter glasses. When i get home I compare my contact prescription to last year and it is exactly the same. They charged me to fit me with the exact same prescription contacts I walked in with and now I have spent 6 months not being able to see well enough with my contacts and I cannot go back for another 6 months. My daughter loves her frames so always just gets new lenses. We ordered her glasses to be made with transition to sun glasses when in the sun. We were immediately leaving for an extending Florida stay, well the glasses did not change in the sun. I always pay my bill at the end of the visit, easiest way to get things paid with a HSA card, but got over a $100 bill in the mail from them. I will never go here again. They are 100% a waste of tume and money I do not have to waste.

My grand daughter is seen at Bafour Optical. She has an abnormal optic nerve that they are keeping a close eye on. They are friendly and patient with us. My grand daughter is ADHD and cant always be still during her exam. We are usually in and out with in 30 to 45 minutes. Dr. Fritch and Dr. Hollingsworth are the ones she sees. They are thorough with her exam and discuss any changes with her eyesight and optic nerve.

The basic procedures went as expected. To check out took what seemed an unreasonable amount of time. When checking out I became taken aback by the total I had to pay even with a discount. So they said. It seemed too much for a senior, and a war vet.

No need to improve they did wonderfully! I love going to this place! Super helpful staff with best attitudes! Im not good at names but the front desk lady(had ablue shirt on that day), red headed tech lady, and doctor Schaffer are fantastic!
