Extensive menu with many dishes not seen at most Mexican restaurants. The food was presented nicely, served hot, and very tasty. Our waitress was attentive and very friendly and helpful. And enjoyable place to enjoy good Mexican food with friends and family!

Honestly I used to come to this place a lot but this past experience was HORRIBLE! the high chairs were not tall enough for the tables and none of the straps worked, the server obviously didn t care to give us quality service and I m not sure if it s a race factor or her just having a bad day. But there were 0 drink refills, 0 napkins, 0 how is everything, do you need anything? The food took forever and the chicken was subpar at best. Sad to see this place go down the drain and nobody care. Afterwards my grandmother went to tell somebody that the highchairs were all broken and if they would let a manager know because it s dangerous and they responded saying I won t make any promises ! 00000 STARS save your $$ and time and go elsewhere.

Unbelievably Delicious. Ordered through Inn Room Service while staying at a nearby hotel. Was really blown away with our appetizer and entrees. The delivery experience was above average as was the hombre who brought the meal to our door. Travel back and forth thru AMA all the time and will add this mainstay on my speed dial. Cheers!

I have never experience service this bad until I had ROY ALI AND LESLEY 3 different servers and all of them had terrible attitudes It was so bad I order food and didn t feel even comfortable getting food so I canceled my food 1 minute after placing it and they said that still had to pay for it !!!!!! First of all this is not a place I would go again, or at least not frequently, they have a convenience fee which means the servers have to deal with people complaining about it when it is the owners at fault for not wanting to pay the fee themselves so they take it out on the servers, hopefully at least they get paid decently. With that being said the lettuce on plates can be a hit or miss, it had a weird taste on the enchiladas plate, but on the shrimp and fish plate it was fresh so they probably are not organized on the back when it comes to fresh vegetables, so it was a big let down because everything else tasted as it should. Another thing I would like to point out is that the place is too small for what it is, it is hard to walk between tables and it feels very hot, you really can feel the heat on the person sitting on another table, I understand they cannot do anything about it because that would require remodeling, but still doesnt mean that it is well organized overall. The servers and kitchen staff are really carrying this place on their backs, while the kitchen staff does the best they can with what they have so hopefully they give them fresh ingredients in the future, the servers are outstanding overall, they are very nice and they know how to talk with people, most of them are bilingual so that is definitely a plus, they are very caring for the guests and they do their best with what they have, you can tell all of them are very experienced from the moment you walk in. Pros: service is great Neutral: food can have fresh ingredients or not. Cons: convenience fee just pay the fee and stop putting your workers on that awkward positions. DO BETTER! Too crowded and you can barely walk around Wheelchair accessibility: None, is very hard moving around.

So the food was good no complaints. But, I do have a complaint. We ordered 7 rounds of liquor shots and at the end of the meal not one of us were feeling a thing from the liquor. Not sure if they were watering them dow or what but we spent well over $500 on this one afternoon. There was a party of 30 and only 5 of us were actually drinking. Its not a high end steakhouse, but thats not why youre here. Youre here for the delicious food and friendly staff, which youll find in abundance! Two visits in two nights, and we tried cheese enchiladas, chicken enchiladas, chicken tacos, chile relleno, quail (you wont find that in Colorado!) and lamb chops (OMG so good!). Theres no green chile which is available at every Mexican restaurant in Colorado (and lesser versions in NM), but there are lots of unique sauces to try. Do yourself a favor and swing by - you can thank me later!

If I could give this place negative zero stars I would... I just moved to Amarillo 2 days ago into one of the historic homes on route 66. After a long 2 days of moving everything in, I wanted to treat my family to a nice dinner for their help. It was about 6pm this evening and we had a party of 7. We went in and announced our party and asked to sit outside. It took over 10 minutes for anyone to even come to our table to greet us, take drink orders, etc... we finally got some chips and salsa and I went inside to ask for a salt and pepper shaker. As soon as I walked through the door, all I hear is one of the servers complaining about another customer to the hostess. And using the most foul language. F bombs, calling the customer the b word, etc... I reminded her that I was standing there and she was behaving very unprofessionally. She proceeded to tell me rudely that she was not talking to me, but to her coworker and I told her thats not the way to behave or talk in front of customers and she rolled her eyes and walked away. So I went back to my table. After being out there for a little bit, we got our drinks and one got spilled immediately. I sent my 12 year old daughter to ask for a replacement and the waitress (a different girl) who greeted her was also very rude and unprofessional, seemingly annoyed by her request, and rolled her eyes saying shed send someone out, and my daughter observed and commented on how rude she was being. A moment later my nephew who is 11 walked in to change his clothes from the spill and overheard this same waitress talking to another girl and calling my 12 yr old the b word. Shes a 12 year old child. So we asked for the manager and the manager seemed very annoyed with us when we told her what had transpired just in the first 20 minutes of our visit there. She offered us free appetizers and said shed talk to the wait staff. We started talking about going somewhere else and she was saying she had to see if the kitchen had started out order, like we wouldnt be able to leave if so. But at this point we were no longer interested in patronizing this establishment, especially after the manager seemed so annoyed to have to handle the staff. I worked in restaurant management for 17 years and was astounded by the way the staff and management treated us as customers. There are 1000 more places in Amarillo we can spend our money, and with a party of 7 all ordering off the full menu, not kids meals, I would expect some hospitality and decent customer service, as we were expecting to spend quite a bit of money. Especially on old Route 66. Im sure this location is a big money maker for Broceros as a company and their staff. But you can count on the fact that they will never see a dollar of mine and I had anticipated spending plenty on this strip, as I plan on living in this location for a very long time. Im hoping the owner reads this review. In my experience, when the staff behaves this way, its usually attributed to bad management. You all need to clean house and start over.... Or close the place down. Your restaurant and staff just took and big L tonight. And for anyone traveling or passing thru expecting to get good service from this place because its on Route 66, just go somewhere else. Amarillo is supposedly known for people being friendly, but for us new to the community and wanting to spend our money with you, you just left a terrible taste in my mouth and Ill never be back. Im also going to tell everyone I know (which is a lot of people) not to patronize your establishment until yall clean up your act. Too bad I didnt get to try the food. It certainly has to be better than the service.

I came to visit my Mom for Mothers Day weekend, and on Friday night, it was busy in braceros, but that is where my Mom wanted to eat, so we waited an hour. Finally, I watched every single group before us and after us get seated. One group of 6 came in , waited 15 minutes, and then got a table. This location is on Route 66 which is why we chose it. The area looks rough and run down, but this place was packed! I absolutely loved this place! A friend that lives in the area recommends this restaurant, and Im glad they did. I grew up in Texas, so I know good Mexican food. This place reminds me of a restaurant growing up that is no longer in business in the valley. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The people in this town are awesome too. I met several teachers in the area there for dinner. I had a great time and will be back if I pass through again. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Go try for yourself! He told the bartender and she didnt care to apologize and poured the same drink into another glass and we told her not to pour the same drink there may be glass. She got mad and said if you have a problem with me we can tap out and leave so we left and took our business elsewhere. We also had friends with us that witnessed this unkind behavior. Then we had a kid that works there tell us we should empathize because she is busy. There is no excuse how busy you are to treat us like we were treated today. I know how it is to serve others and familiar with her field. I serve others and work hard too and busy and doesnt give me the right to be inhumane. I dont recommend this place. It was new to me my first time and my last.

I went in and there did not seem to be any AC so I ordered take out as it was like a sauna. I ordered three things: 1. Quail, 2. Quesdilla, 3. Chile Verde fundido. They forgot the quail, and instead of Chile Verde I recieved Carne asada. Regardless the meat was good. I called and spoke to 2 people about the missing quail as I was already back on the road but she never called, nor refunded the price of the missing quail. Also the avocado and guac were way over ripe and tasted off. Its a bummer as I hoped to leave a stellar review as the people that work there seem very nice. I will not be back, nor recommend.

Stopped in for lunch with several colleagues on a Monday. They were decently busy but quickly accommodated for our table of 8. Service was quick and friendly and our waitress was attentive. I had the Plato Michoacano. It had standard Tex-Mex flavors. The dish was light enough to finish and satisfying enough to fill me for the day. Definitely a good vibe in the historic San Jacinto neighborhood. The salsa had a great flavor and the chips were crunchy. Parking: Theres some limited parking in the back and on the street. Be prepared to park up to a block away and walk.

I will never come back. Waited 10 minutes for a server to come take our food order. Then 30 minutes later half of my food comes out then 10 minutes later the rest. By then the first part was cold. I sent my food back. Taken off my ticket. Owner was there and would not take a minute to talk to me about my experience. I watched 3 tables get sat after me and they got all their food at once before me. Would not recommend to anyone.
