Old Fashioned drive-in. A very nice car-hop took our order. The old fashioned cheeseburgers were very good, the fries were good, and the onion rings were outstanding. The root beer was fantastic. If you are a fan of old fashioned burgers and root beer, you should give this place a try.

10/10 me and my husband aren t from Amarillo but wanted to try something new and I ve got to say there is a reason why the reviews are so good here. Don t listen to that one from 4 days ago sis just wanted a hockey puc but this place knows better my 4 year old son absolutely loved the burger we got him and honestly fresh cooked lettuce onion tomato and cheese for only 4$ is a great price. We only paid 18$ for our two large ice cream floats and his burger everything was super fresh and so good !!! We use to love going to KN Rootbeer. Since now they have different owners nothing is the same. Burgers were greasy asked for well done and the meat was still pink not the same great burger it use to be. We got the Texas rootbeer in a mug and the mug was not even frosted iced over. Very disappointed and don t think we will be back nor will we recommend. Wasted 38 dollars should have went to McDonalds.

This place is way overpriced for burgers, fries and drinks they dont even have prices on the menu, we wasted $35 for some regular burgers with fries and drinks, you have to order everything separately nothing comes as a combo also you have to wait in your car till someone comes and takes your order this was our first time here and we will not be coming here again. I have came to K-N for about the 10th time now and every time I ordered a cheeseburger, fries, and a medium root beer. Each time my experience has never change amazing food, hot, fresh and perfect to my order. I usually order my burgers with a lot of toppings like bacon, green chilis, and grilled onions, and no matter how complicated my order the workers always work with me and show patience. I was really impressed with one of the workers there Halleigh who was very patient with me, she was very nice, respectful, and showed hard-working compassion for her job. All and all I enjoyed the fast, great food, and dedicated workers at K-N and the will for sure be coming back in the future!

No posted prices. When we asked, we were told that supply prices are changing too drastically for them to settle on the price of things. We asked how much a burger and fries were, he said hed have to go check. No reason for that, so we went ahead and placed the order: 2 cheese burgers, 1 chili dog, 1 patty melt, 2 fries, 1 onion ring, 1 jalapeno bites, 3 rootbeers and a water. $74.51 when the bill came! We felt like we had been catfished. Food was mediocre for the price. We couldve had Sharkys for cheaper than that, and they are always good! This is on me, I shouldve waited for the prices.

Im giving 5 stars because the customer service of the girl and boy are always great. I love the fact they have cheese sticks and their crust is super great but most the time the cheese isnt melted its just a block of cheese on a stick. There has been times its been melted so I thought coming at 12 would have them hot and the cheese melted but that wasnt the case so idk if the type of cheese is just hard to melt or if the premake them and they get reward idk butwhen the cheese is melted they r awesome I just dont know the trick on when to get them.

They get five stars from me just because of the wonderful root beer, the frosted glasses, the cheerful attitude of employees, and the nostalgic experience of going to a drive-up place where the CarHop comes out and takes your order and brings it to you on tray that attaches to your car window. If you order food, be sure to bring something to cover your clothes because its messy and drippy but not bad for fast food. They dont give you a plate to help control the mess, just the paper the food is wrapped in. But definitely go for the root beer, you wont be sorry.

First time at KN Root Beer ever. Super fast service, great, hot fresh burger. Onion rings are amazing. And who doesn t love an old-fashioned root beer! I found out they have new management and don t use frozen beef. Excellent!

I grew up with K N drive In, in Cuero Texas. They have awesome food. We would love for you too come and open up a K.N drive In, In Plainview Texas . This is were I live now. Nothing like the Taste Of Home.

Reminded me of an old carhop style burger joint. Complete with window hanging tray. Their ice cold mugs of root beer were delicious. Their cheeseburger, onion rings were good. The frito pie was very, very good here.

I am 67, have been a patron of kn. On my very LAST visit was quite the RIP off. Was craving their rootbeer and always a good burger. There was only 4-5 cars there. Pulled up at 11:35, ordered, 36 minutes later our order came out. Total was over 25.oo for 2 double burgers, lge tater tot, and 1 rootbeer. 1 burger had everything on it, one was to have been mayo and grilled onions. Was told no problem. The world famous rootbeer had no distinct taste and was very weak. When we arrived home with our order we had 2 single burgers and 8 tater tots.The burger with grilled onions had 3 pickles only. Both burgers were very over cooked.Have been told the burger joint had been sold in the last year.

This is a gem of a bygone day. There used to be KN all over the place. This may be the very last one. I try to eat here EVERY time Im in the area. We cant let this blast from the past slip through our fingertips!Root beer is made right on sight.
