My husband took me here the 1st time for my birthday. This restaurant is amazing!! The atmosphere is wonderful! And the staff is great! We have already been back twice. Would recommend to anyone wanting a great place for a romantic dinner.

I was at a loss on what to do to celebrate my husbands 40th, until i found Mac Joe s. I made a reservation on a Wednesday for a Friday night i know, I m a procrastinator! With a simple Facebook message 1 day before our reservations, the wheels were set in motion. Kyler called me less than 24 hours before our reservation and had already clearly done his homework! He learned about us, shared with me his perfect ideas and we were off! A 10 minute conversation was all it took to have the perfect evening planned! Braves themed flowers, a perfect specialized note, champagne, a personal wine tasting and a specialized lemon desert all for my husband. This is hospitality. I will NEVER plan another event anywhere but here!

SF&W. Staff, food and wine were perfect. We met a young gentleman who took care of us during the dinner. He told us his name but We dont know how to write it. He was extremely courteous and professional. The hostess and the sommelier were also outstanding. Very creative dishes cooked to perfection. The wine selection was perfect for us.

We had a fantastic experience dining at Macaroni Joe s for my daughter s 18th birthday. We were visiting the Amarillo area from Nebraska and we wanted someplace special to celebrate a special occasion. Macaroni Joe s did not disappoint. Our server, Gage, was cordial and provided us with excellent service. The presentation on the plates was fantastic, and the food was prepared exactly to our specifications. The bison tenderloin was tender, flavorful and the house sauce and bed of peppers and potatoes complimented the meat perfectly. My daughter had the filet mignon and it was also a quality cut of meat, perfectly tender and perfectly cooked to medium as she requested. My wife ordered the pork tenderloin special, which was also a beautifully presented, flavorful dish. I consider myself a connoisseur of the Old Fashioned, and I am not easily impressed. Their Joe s Old Fashioned prepared with Basil Hayden Bourbon is one of the better ones I have had. Thank you Gage and Macaroni Joe s for providing us a wonderful evening to celebrate with our daughter!

Macaroni Joe s did a wonderful job catering for our wedding! We were married in Palo Duro, and they navigated catering in the canyon without any worries. Not only did they make our catering experience an easy and stress free process, their food was delicious and everyone enjoyed it. They also had options available for those in our party with special dietary needs, which made us so happy that we could include everyone who came to celebrate with us. We worked with Jeremy, and he was so great- he was quick with communicating, helped navigate a credit card error, and delivered amazing food. We would recommend Macaroni Joe s to anyone looking for a reliable and yummy catering option, and hope to visit their restaurant someday to enjoy their food again!

Went just recently to Macaroni Joe s for my anniversary and it was an amazing experience. Making a reservation was easy and fast. When we arrived we were greeted with a very welcoming tone. The atmosphere was amazing and was pleasant to be in. Our server James. (Jamie) was incredible, always made sure we were doing okay, brought us refills, and explained to us everything on the menu. The food there was AMAZING. We started with the mob queso which was delicious. My wife had the lasagna and I had the ribeye with mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables. We both agreed that it was some of the most delicious food we have had while eating out. After we were done eating, we were gifted a free cheesecake for our anniversary which was greatly appreciated. Overall it was an amazing experience with amazing service and delicious food. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be returning.

I stopped at Macaroni Joe s while passing through Amarillo. I selected Macaroni Joe s because it was described as one of the best steakhouses in Amarillo. Well, every restaurant has a bad night and maybe I just visited on the wrong day, but based on my experience, I would hesitate to recommend it. I ordered a 12 ounce ribeye, medium rare and a small Caesar salad. The salad was indeed small, and the only resemblance it had to a Caesar salad was some croutons and a few slivers of Parmesan cheese that probably came from Sam s Club. My steak arrived without a steak knife. The waiter recognized the problem and promised to bring one. However he crossed the room and started flirting with a table of girls and forgot my steak knife. Finally a manager came by and inquired if there was anything I needed. He promptly brought me a steak knife. The steak was nothing special. For a ribeye it was pretty thin and while it was medium rare it was much too salty. It was accompanied by some very overcooked, quite limp, greasy vegetables of indeterminate origin and some roasted potatoes that had to be left over from the previous evening. All in all it was a very disappointing experience. Should you ignore this review, and try Macaroni Joe s, I hope your experience greatly exceeds mine.

My date with my husband was supposed to be so special. You see, my husband has Rheumatoid Arthritis. He cannot walk or stand for any length of time. My husbands mobility is via an electric scooter. We arrived at your establishment thinking that we were going to have 5 star experience. Nope! We followed the hostess through three rooms where she placed us in the furthest corner of the room. Whatever! EVERY WAIT STAFF that I saw that night, presented the man his food, before they put the plate down for the lady. WHAT?!!!I have one last suggestion, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE instruct your staff to NOT TOUCH A GLASS FROM THE TOP!!!!!!!! I dont care how clean your fingers are, I dont want them on my glass!

Mac Joes is a go to for date night. However this review is about a dinner meeting. They have several great meeting spaces, we were in the Boardroom which seats probably 12. Service was FANTASTIC (Shoutout Caitlyn!), room was great, food was great! If you are looking for a place for a dinner meeting in Amarillo, give them a shout.

This use to be our favorite restaurant. We use to come for special occasions and loved it. Recently we haven t had good experience with trying to get reservations. We called several times with no answer and when they answered the next day We were hung up on. We recently went in to get a table and they said they were not going to seat us because a party of nine is too big.

Went to Macaroni Joes for Valentines, I ordered the prime rib (medium) and it came with mashed potatoes and veggies. The meat and potatoes were cold (like been sitting out a while and was room temp cold) I mentioned to the server so he takes my plate and brings back another plate, again cold, but this time the meat was over cooked (well done), dry as all get out and blanddddd. It ticks me off because it s such an expensive place to eat ($38 for my prime rib) for the food to be this terrible. Service was great. I won t be back for a very long time if at all. I didn t eat my food past the one bite to realize it was still cold and over cooked. Im still annoyed.

Im from New Jersey and chose this place as a first date based on other online reviews. I was absolutely satisfied with the entire experience. The pan seared scallops were great. But the star of the sht show was the Pepper Seared Tune. It was so good we placed 3 orders of it for just two people. Thank you Mac Joes for making our first date a special night.

I m part of a non profit called Brayden s Gift, and we recently used Joe s catering for our Gala on February 10th. Jeremy, the catering director, was excellent! He made the catering process incredibly easy and was always available to answer any questions I had to ensure the catering piece of the Gala went smoothly. He even helped picked up trash that wasn t his responsibility to clean up after the Gala was over. His team of servers were excellent as well. Outside of his services alone, the price for catering was also very affordable in comparison to others. I highly recommend Joe s Catering and Jeremy s services!

My wife picked this restaurant for dinner before going to the symphony. I can say that she has fantastic taste! I mean just look at the pictures. The atmosphere and decor were amazing. You really feel like youre at an outdoor Italian Cafe. And the service was perfect. Our waiter was very attentive, polite, and well informed. I had the bone-in pork chop, with vanilla creme brulee for dessert. I had no idea that it was really TWO pork chops (look at the picture!). The sauce was amazing and the sear on the meat was unbelievable! The dessert was excellent, too. Perfectly crusted creme brulee with NO taste of egg in the custard. My wife has the blackened bayou with shrimp plus the 4 oz. blackened steak, with bread pudding with bourbon vanilla caramel sauce for dessert. The spicy Cajun flavor was great - with a very noticeable kick (as it should have). Just simply DELICIOUS! And the dessert.... just WOW! (Yes I had some of hers, too.) It really was too die for! We will definitely be back!

Wife and I had lunch there yesterday. I had the Blackened Bayou Pasta it was a sticky, gooey coagulated mess. Noodles were way overcooked. Im not a picky eater but it was almost inedible. Wife had the Lemon Butter Shrimp which was mainly a big glob of noodles with very little sauce and a few small shrimp. Bread they brought out was a tiny, cold sliver. Last time we ate there was about 5 years ago now I know why.

My husband planned a very rare date night for us. Our evening started here as he wanted to take me somewhere special. The atmosphere was lovely. They have a very extensive wine list. The hostess was pleasant. Our server was absolutely amazing! The bread was good. The mob queso was exceptional. Then it went downhill fairly quickly from there. I ordered the confetti spaghetti and my husband had the Green Chili Chicken. He was overall pleased with his meal. I never send food back ever, but there is a first time for everything. The confetti spaghetti was not edible. It tasted like the lid had come off the Nutmeg and the entire spice jar had emptied into the pot and they just went with it. I generally enjoy jerk seasoning. This was unlike anything I had ever tasted before. I tried to power through and eat it, but I just couldnt do it. Our server noticed I wasnt eating and offered a replacement. He was very kind and gracious and brought me a plate of Green Chili Chicken in exchange. Unfortunately, by the time it arrived, I had severe nausea and decided to cut my losses & go home where I was fine after my body rejected the Confetti Spaghetti. Needless to say, it wasnt the date night either of us had hoped for. 10/10 do NOT reccomend the Confetti Spaghetti. I was incredibly disappointed and my poor husband felt so defeated that our date night ended before it really ever began. The service and atmosphere were great. We may give it another shot solely because of that and the mob queso, but it will be a hot minute.

Hosted an event with them at the Botanical Gardens. They were amazing to work with. The food was so delicious and the staff was incredibly flexible and helpful. It was my birthday, and we had a great time! Every entrée was delicious. Although we ate at dinner time, they graciously served my granddaughter with fettuccine Alfredo. It is only on the lunch menu. Went to Mac Joes Saturday for my friends birthday dinner , because she had never eaten here . We ordered the mob queso as usual and I told her she had to try it!!!! Unfortunately it didnt taste anything like it used to . I ordered the confetti spaghetti, Ive had it several times ,but this time I swear it had cinnamon or nutmeg in it ,so I ate only a few bites . Also , management should tell their wait staff that when they are asking would you prefer soup or salad that it cost extra!!!! Im glad I asked him or he wasnt going to say a word. One more thing that I was preterbed about was when he found out it was her 21st birthday,he said ohhhh you get a dessert of your choice!!! Then when we received our bill he charged us . Puts a bad taste in your mouth literally when they are sneaky AND the food was not what I was expecting. Not sure I will keep this restaurant on my fav list anymore .

Had an early supper here. Everything was fantastic. We did not have any drinks . Had a very good wine list. We had the tuna appetizer very good with lots of black pepper. I had a bayou pasta with shrimp and blackend steak. Very good steak was perfect medium . Pasta had a lot of Cajun seasoning. Its pretty salty but good. My wife had the seared scallops and risotto. I have been enjoying macaroni Joes for decades. I believe it is one of the most liked restaurants in Amarillo. The food is and always has been very good. The menu has changed since COVID and there are fewer options. They no longer have gluten-free pasta. The atmosphere is exceptional. It is decorated to look like an outdoor courtyard complete with vining plants and balconies above you as you eat. If youve never been, I dont think you would be disappointed. Its the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or date night. Dietary restrictions: I was disappointed that theyve stopped having gluten-free pasta options. And the menu has way fewer selections than they did before COVID. Kid-friendliness: You very rarely see children at Macaroni Joes. Its more of a date night venue. They have a pretty extensive wine cellar. Definitely one of the more upscale restaurants in Amarillo

This little Italian restaurant was just plain charming! Also, our dinners were delicious. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. It was an all over lovely evening! We were traveling thru and really enjoyed this unexpected treat!

Nice atmosphere! Everyone liked their food but ME! Mine was icky! The confetti spaghetti was gross! I got the bread pudding for dessert. The ice cream it was topped with had refrozen ice milk bits in it! I was really disappointed in my food from main dish to dessert.

The fillet wife had was fine. I had the ribeye it was awful. It was cooked properly, but there was way too much fat and gristle, even for a ribeye. Both were served floating in a pool of balsamic vinegar which completely destroyed the taste of the steaks. Our service was excellent and the manager deducted $10 from our bills for the balsamic vinegar. the diced potatoes cooked to a crisp. Ambience was outstanding and the wine was excellent but a bit pricey. The waiter should have warned us about the balsamic vinegar.

This is a quiet, quaint place. Very authentic food and wonderful, romantic atmosphere. Very knowledgeable staff. They know their stuff. We dont take our kids here. Its a husband/ wife getaway! Vegetarian options: We didnt get anything vegetarian but its on the menu

We were stopping for the night in Amarillo. My wife found Macaroni Joes on line, so we ordered food for take away to eat in our hotel room. We were bushed. Boy, did we make the right choice! The food was amazing. We shared a Lemon Butter Shrimp pasta and a Confetti Spaghetti. We honestly couldnt decide which was better. That said, the jerk spice on the Confetti Spaghetti adds a totally fun flavor profile. If we lived in Amarillo, Macaroni Joes would be a mainstay for us. Given the crowd they had on a Thursday evening, I would surmise many locals feel the same.

I have always loved Macaroni Joes. We considered it a special place to eat out. The atmosphere was most excellent. The service was amazing. Cleanliness lacked a bit, everything seemed dusty. The outside of the restaurant could really use some cleaning up and get rid of all those metal post that are literally rotting in the front door area. The lunch menu is extremely limited on choices (but with our nations crises I kind of understand) but when my food come out you could tell it was reheated and the center was barley warm. Please step up game. Love this place

It was the toughest steak I have ever had in my life. It was full of white ligaments throughout the cut. It was a shame because the flavor was really good. I do want to go back and try the lasagna or something more Italian. The mashed potatoes with the steak were really bad also.

I personally ate the 8oz prime beef filet cooked Medium and it was PERFECT! Best steak I have ever had. The shinerbock glaze sauce was out of this world. The wedge salad was perfection. I could have eaten 10 more portions of the mixed vegetables. So good! I Will be making many more visits.

We decided last minute to eat here (party of 5) and were treated rudely and like we were an inconvenience the whole time due to not having reservations. Id rather be turned away if the service was going to be that sub-par. The food was bland and we had to ask a couple times for salt/pepper and other basic condiments. Drinks were empty during most of our meal and we were only offered one refill. Not impressed.

The food was good, but no better than some chain Italian places. We were very confused why they gave us a side plate when you dont get any bread or a salad with your meal. We went for Italian and was surprised at the limited selection. Steaks forget it, they had market price, whos market?
