Honestly, staff was 100% nice and very helpful. However the facilities and restaurants on the other hand were absolutely horrible. So for starters had to switch lanes because gutter balls registered 4-6 pins and strikes were 2-4 pins. The 2nd lane was just as bad and didnt work. We asked what time the restaurant opened and was told 5. Staff didnt get there till 5:12 and still didnt accept orders till 5:30. Got told 15 x2 on the pizza and it came out burnt. Asked what time the bar opened and they said 5 then 6 then 7 or what ever time she comes in. This place used to be the absolute best and has gone down hill so fast. :/

I needed to update my post. This year is MUCH BETTER than last year. They have made lanes available for kids bowl (even with tournaments). The staff is usually nice. I would have put 5 star but this year they discontinued their SHOE PASS. I am still grateful though.

We had a party of 5, and paid for an hour to bowl. The lanes here are on their last leg from our experience. Couldnt really enjoy bowling for having to call to get someone to service the lane we were on! The place absolutely needs to be upgraded! The lady at the counter did comp us with the time we missed due to repairs, but the experience was super frustrating all in all.

We stopped in amarillo overnight from az,we where looking for something fun for the kids to do. This is the worst place, the arcade was closed to us but when someone came in and asked to play they turned on the machines that would work, the prize room was closed they had all kinds of employees but Noone would open it. The laser tag was closed and they didnt know if the employees would show up for the prize room or laser tag!!! Very disappointed I would not recommend to anyone!!

Just wanted to take a minute to give Teeley (not sure if that s spelled correctly) a shout out. We weren t sure if we wanted to play by the game or by the hour and she went over the price difference with us to help decide. Then our lane wasn t working correctly and she called maintenance, only to find out we have to switch lanes. She reset our time since we were waiting. She also was handling a couple other problems during all this and still had a smile. Great job on her part!

Its good if you can actually get a lane last 2 times weve come in 3 weeks there have been no open lanes, they use the bigger side for bowling league and the small side for normal bowlers, confused why league is more important than normal players This is an on going probably for years now bowling league takes priority at 5pm im not allowed to bowl because they have to get it ready

Horrible. Went in a little before 4 for a family date night. Bar wasnt open, snack bar wasnt open. We were told the snack bar opened at 4. It wasnt open till about 4:25. They came on the intercom at 4:50 to tell us they were shutting the lanes off at 5 so everyone was rushing trying to finish the games they paid for.... this is a place for leagues. Just skip this place and go to cinergy!!

Overall, its a good bowling alley. Some of their mechanical equipment needs maintenance because balls will get stuck and not return, it wont rack all ten pins, and some of the bumpers dont come all the way up. Sort of the same thing with the arcade; a lot of games are turned off and stay that way for weeks. We havent tried the food, but it smells good and a lot of people seem to get it.

My lane was dryer than my ex wife, I ordered Whiskey and water, the water had a brown tint, Im assuming it was a little coke because there were a few drops of it on the lid. Whiskey was fine. Its a good place for the younger bowlers, but if youre a leaguer, maybe not so much. Music was fine but I cant get over how dry the lanes were.

The bowling was fun. The problems were many. The setup machine kept messing up. The chairs werent very comfortable but fit our base need. Disappointed. I counted 13 lanes open and most of the people there were on a waiting list. The wait time at the least was 45 min. We were there on a Saturday around 3pm. There were quite a few video games not in service. Felt like they didn t need or want our business. If I were you I would call ahead and get on the waiting list and maybe when you show up you might get to bowl. Again very disappointed with the efficiency of getting people on the lanes to bowl and I don t blame the people working the desk because this type of lack of attention comes from those in authority.

I wouldn t even be writing this, if I wasn t so frustrated at the lack of transparency for wait times. We walked in at 8:00pm on a Friday night, and asked for 2 adults, we were told it was a league night and that it would *probably* be 9:30pm before we could get a lane, understandable- they were considerably busy. We were not informed of a wait list except for, come back at 9:30 . We wait, we come back, we are told it would be *probably* another 30 minutes, and we ask about some kind of contact when it s ready, and THEN we are informed of a waitlist, we sign up to be put on it, and then the man at the desk says, Well that s not accurate it ll probably be longer now that I think about it . I understand they are busy, I don t mind waiting. 10:00pm rolls around and we check in again and the man at the desk says, Well there s still 12 people on the list and the league has 3 frames, so if I had to guess probably another 30 ish minutes, I don t know, maybe more? I understand you are busy, and there is a lot of people bowling, but if there s no clear communication or crowd control, you lose service due to people being frustrated!

As for bowling, things are fair, lots of issues with the lanes. Understand the lanes are old but it is frustrating to bowl with all the issues. As for the snack bar. You need to get people in there that know what they are doing. Also on Saturday morning you need to have more than one person there, it is ridiculous to have to wait for 1 1/2 hours to get 3 breakfast burrito. As a family we spend a lot of time here at Western bowl, just need to improve somethings.
