Phonomenal experience! My lunch special was a great deal at $14 with tofu pho, a fresh roll, and iced tea. The ingredients were top quality and the flavors were delightful! We will be back. *Spicy lemongrass broth is SPICY! Update - We went back for more and it was utterly delicious AGAIN! I will never understand the low ratings for Saltlight Station This is the best, cleanest pho I ve had. Keep up the delicious work! Love you all and your super kind staff.

I am Vietnamese. this is not Vietnamese owned and barely qualifies as Vietnamese food. More like Asian Fusion and its not very good. Very overpriced. I think it is trying to be trendy but falls short. Service was friendly, place was neat, clean, tidy. I have nothing against the owner to staff. The food was just not good. I would not eat here again nor recommend based on food taste and pricing.

Im Vietnamese American, so Id say I know good pho when Ive had it. This was... not pho. Was it bad? No, not by any means, but I would hardly call it pho. It was just a bit bland; not hearty or rich enough, and just overall didnt taste like pho. Just tasted like above average noodles, really. Also had the Thai tea and that was a bit watery too. Not bad, but not amazing.

I ordered the Texan Pho and it barely had vegetables. The been sprouts and cilantro were old and there were more cilantro stems than leaves. There were no sliced onion, scallion, basil, or lime. I included pictures. I did get a lemon slice, but not lime. Additionally, they tried to charge me twice for the two tai teas I ordered. They gave me a receipt that didn t have the tai teas on them and told me to reorder the teas on the kiosk again. I totaled my whole order with the teas we ordered from their website online on my phone and it totaled to what they charged me. I informed him and he then says he had a ticket, he picked up that was right in front of him, with the teas on it and our other items. That his ticket that he gave me didn t have them and then apologized. And we were the only people in line inside. Very odd so check your orders because if I would ve went by their word they would ve charged me twice for the teas. Not understanding why they had two tickets with one excluding the teas from the five things we ordered.

These Summer rolls were great ! I tried the Shrimp and the Pork . I thought for sure I was going to love the Shrimp the most , but the pork was superior. It was nice being able to go threw the drive thru to get these ! I wish they were a little less expensive. From other places I go, I usually get 3 for like $4. It was about $14 for 4 if Im not mistaken . They cut them in half so i guess it seems like your getting more than what youre really getting . None the less , they are good, and Ill go back to try other items :)

The banh mi here isn t exactly authentic, but they do hit all the right notes. The bread isn t a fine Vietnamese baguette, but it is lightly crispy on the outside with a soft, fluffy crumb and good flavor. We tried the grilled pork and the brisket (it is Texas after all) and the salty seasoned meat paired well with the cilantro, pickled carrots, and cucumber. The carrots are lightly pickled - still lightly crunchy, but lends the sandwich additional flavor without being too sour. The vermicelli bun bowl was packed full and served hot. It was also flavorful and delicious, but we recommend mixing the fish sauce in a little at a time because putting all of it in was a little too much for our taste. Even so, we devoured the whole bowl. The restaurant is VERY kid friendly with a toddler play area indoors and a small slide set up in their outdoor eating area. Parking: Parking is under a gas station cover - there are no gas pumps anymore - just park as if you are getting gas!

Even with the odd hours (I wish they were open all days of the week, seriously, like--I get a craving for pho and only think of Saltlight Station, but theyre closed a bunch of days of the week), this is still the best place for pho that I can think of. No MSG and the soup still tastes very umami. Dont know how they do it, but its exceptionally delicious. EDIT: Their food is Fire! The amount of collagen in their soup is a-ma-zing! I refrigerated the leftovers and never had this amount of gelling at other Pho places before. And no MSG or Iodine. Autoimmune heaven! Taste is super and theyre going to be open Fridays starting mid-January--love!

My husband and I are vegetarians so we stopped by here to try to banh mi sandwich. We got excited and tried their seseme ginger salad too. The food is DELICIOUS!! Since we have never been here before, our salad did not come with dressing, I think our server just forgot. After couple of bites I figured out I was missing a dressing and asked for one. I am not sure if the tofu sandwich comes with a dressing as well or not but regardless, it was the best experience I had! I would recommend to add cushions to the wood bench seating please. Also, to have vegetarian pho! Your food is so good that you will attract so many vegetarian people.

Edit- I hate doing this, but this place is not as tasty as it once was. The past few times I ve ordered from here is was average. Today s Pho order was so bland that it prompted me to update my previous 5 star review. I m not sure what changed, maybe it was a bad batch of broth. It literally had zero flavor. Also, I get that it s a small business and that is the reason for being closed on a Friday and Saturday. But it wouldn t make more sense to be closed on a Sunday and Monday vs the two days of the week that most people order in or eat out? Just sayin Old Review- By far the freshest and best pho I ve ever tasted. I have always enjoyed pho but never craved it till I tried Starlight Station. My husband and I used to frequent Crystal Pho. But this place is our new fave. It s also extremely convenient to order ahead then pick up through the drive thru. Amazing!!!

Stopped by since I was in the area for a Tofu Bahn Mi and it was so amazing! The veggies tasted crisp and fresh and the sandwich itself went great with the peanut hoisin sauce (took off the aioli). The location is quite nice too with such an open air vibe to it outside which also has some seating available to eat outdoors if you please. Instead, I decided to enjoy the meal from the trunk of my car with my dog and take in just the views. Will be back for sure, thanks Saltlight station team! Vegetarian options: Plenty of options. Dietary restrictions: Plenty of room to customize to make things vegan or vegetarian as needed.

So disappointed I had to leave a review. With so many pho options, go somewhere else. I tried this place based on their rating and I liked the concept of a drive thru. I ordered a chicken pho. They have the option of medium or large, I asked if I ordered a large can they make it half chicken and half tofu. They said no (I ve never had a problem customizing my pho any where else, but here s my first). I was asked if I wanted utensils and sauces, (most places just automatically give it to you assuming you re civilized and will not scarf it down like a dog- and what is pho without hoisin and sriracha?). Maybe they re minimizing expenses but if you pay $15 for a meal . Seems like it should be automatic. They ring me up and ask me to park in front and they will bring out my order. The parking lot wasn t full and only two more cars arrived after me and left with their food. I didn t know why my simple order was taking so long. They brought me my food without a thank you or smile so I decided not to give them a cash tip. If their food was decent, I would not be leaving a complaint. However, I came home and my food was cold. A brown broth was served with my chicken pho but tasted terrible and bland. My fault for not asking for chicken broth for chicken pho. The portion is about the size of a cup of instant ramen. A cup of ramen tastes better than their pho. If you like Thai basil for your pho, forget it. What you see in my photo is all the greens you ll get and 5 small slices of chicken. This place lacked taste, quality, customer service and is overpriced.

I love the food here. I usually opt for the shrimp summer rolls or chicken banh mi and they even let me sub extra veggies in place of the rice noodles for the rolls. The smoothies and pho are good and well. The drive through adds convenience and the old gas station that they moved into offers a unique ambiance. Dining in however, it smells kind of funky and the kids playpen seems more like a place for the workers own children rather than customers , (still not knocking that.) But would definitely recommend getting to go rather than eating in based on my experiences. Vegetarian options: Summer rolls, salad, smoothies, pho, banh mi Kid-friendliness: Play pen

Really wonderful food and ambience at a family run restaurant. We arrived late on a Sunday, just 30 minutes before close and were warmly welcomed. We ordered a pork banh mi and tofu pho. The banh mi was tasty too. We might prefer one with pate to balance the pickled veggies, but this one was still pretty great. An excellent experience, and well worth the drive from Dallas. Beautifully repurposed gas station building turned secret gem in Allen. Tucked away on its own beaten path, this Banh Mi & Pho dinner has delightful charm. Once a gas station years ago, left to stand empty for many years, has become a sparkling surprise for the locals. Dine-in, take-out; your choice. Clean design inside with large windows which give you amazing views of what undeveloped land there is left in Allen (July 2023). An outdoor gazebo with tables and greenery is welcoming with its small child s slide. Stay inside and you have a wonderful at-home style play area for the toddlers. It s almost like being at home but with better views and much better food. Kid-friendliness: Indoor play area for toddlers and a small outdoor slide for toddlers.

This is my first time eating inside the restaurant. On a hot summer day, walking in here felt like heaven. You can tell they keep everything clean plus they have a baby play area. My mom noticed that her prime rib in her pho was tasting a bit old and about to be rotten. So when we brought it to owners attention, they wanted to amend the situation so that we leave happy. They gave us two meals for free! Never have I experienced such good customer service. As a holistic nutritionist, I found this place via Seed Oil Scout. I found out they don t use vegetable seed oils, MSG, or any high fructose corn syrup in any of their dishes. Their prices may seem high to most but you get what you pay for. My favorite dish is their shrimp and pork vermicelli with fish sauce. You gotta try it!

This is our first time visiting this restaurant. We didnt know that this building, which looks like a gas station from the outside, turned out to be a Vietnamese restaurant. If we hadnt read someones recommendation on Facebook, we might never have known about this wonderful place. My husband and I love authentic Pho with traditional rich flavorful beef broth. So we came here and ordered two bowls of Texan Pho to try. To be honest, when our pho was served, I was a little disappointed after taking a sip of the soup. Although the soup was delicious, it didn t seem like the traditional beef pho soup I was familiar with. But I must say that, other than being a bit too sweet and not having a strong beef flavor, it is still delicious. It is worth recommending that it has a lot of meat slices and a large amount of noodles. A bowl will definitely make you full until tomorrow! We also ordered Vietnamese iced coffee, summer roll, and Pork Banh Mi sandwich. The Vietnamese iced coffee is very authentic and tastes impeccable. Summer roll and Bahn mi tend to be fusions flavors, especially Banh mi, which does not use traditional baguette. They are still delicious and the portion size was ample! Their service is excellent! Price is fair. Nice and clean fusion-looking dinning environment make us want to come visit again. If you like trendy Vietnamese food, this should be the restaurant for you. But if you like authentic Vietnamese taste, maybe this place is good enough for you to enjoy some good food with worries free. We would still highly recommend this place to everyone!

Chicken Pho was salty and not good flavor. Requested a refund and was told there was no one to issue it. I thought this place was going to be better based on reviews, it ended up disappointing. We left to eat at our conventional and traditional Pho restaurant. BTW, it is not authentic if you ask me. In response to your response, your staff member did offer a different dish which I declined and requested a refund. She said she wasn t able to issue a refund because she was not a manager, so I asked to talk to one. Her response was that the system wasn t able to issue a refund even if she wanted to, and only the owner could but you weren t there. Never was the option to issue a refund offered to me, nor did she offer to take down my info to issue a refund was. In fact she didn t even offer anything to make it right until I said losing the $13 was fine with me, but I was going to leave this review. Your staff person is very nice indeed but may lack the maturity to tell the truth. Thanks.

Edited after owners response: I removed the other 1 star review, that was done by accident, but I will keep this one. Your employee is LYING to you. She told my husband that she couldn t refund because the owner wasn t there and there was no manager there to refund either. It was after he said ok, I ll Leave a review that she said that she could give us something else, to which he declined. I suggest you speak w her before you go around calling customers slanderers. I don t care to defame any business but I do not like people who can t own their mistakes. Hey, salty food happens, what made me mad was her lack of action as she shrugged her shoulders and told us we couldn t get a refund. Don t lie, not cool. I was excited to try it and we drove from Plano. Now will never be back. And while you re at it, please issue my refund. Thanks Very disappointed in this restaurant. I expected better food. The pho was so salty. There are not many options, so we tried to get a refund and they wouldn t give us one. Bad service all around.

We live in Plano. Pretty close to this establishment. We have been here before and the Pho was really good. My wife is Vietnamese and she knows what is good in regards to cuisine from her homeland. Now, this review reflects our latest visit, today, February 20th, 2023. I am giving two stars since the food was good last time we came. Today, I took my wife here because she wanted to have Vietnamese coffee. Vietnamese coffee on ice is strong, delicious coffee, served with sweet condensed milk. Its well-known in the coffee community and tastes very good. Since Im married to a Vietnamese, I know and appreciate Vietnamese coffee as well. The iced coffee we received today was undrinkable! It was absolutely horrible and tasted old! There was certainly a funky taste to it and both of our coffees tasted very off. Spoiled milk? Old coffee that had been sitting in the fridge for a while? We dont know but you cannot serve this to your customers! Its actually a health hazard and you can get a bad stomach from serving something so off. Now, theres nothing wrong with the interior of the establishment. It looks clean. However, there was definitely something very wrong with the Vietnamese coffee you served today. We couldnt drink it. It was absolutely undrinkable and Im not exaggerating. Was the coffee sitting too long and it burned? We wasted 2 x $4.25! Normally, I would say something, come back, demand a refund, but, I have a day off today and didnt want to stir up any stress. Again, you cannot serve this to people. It tasted spoiled, gross, and had a strange, bitter after taste in our mouths. My wife being Vietnamese, we have had MANY Vietnamese coffees. As an owner, I could not serve this to any of my customers. I would feel ashamed and you always want to put your best foot forward as a business owner. If we would have finished the coffees, I wouldnt have been surprised if we had gotten sick.

We have been visiting Saltlight since they first opened as we pass by it everyday on the way home. Usually hit the drive thru since we are smelly and dirty from horse care. The food is always fantastic and fresh ingredients are highly appreciated and is what keeps us coming back. It is a great place for our family to pick up food since we have a mix of meat and non meat eaters. Have tried about 80% of the menu, and the Pho, Banh Mi, Brisket Cheesesteak and Summer Rolls with cilantro sauce are favorites. Vietnamese Iced Coffee, Chocolate Cake, Berry Smoothie, Berry Lime Spritzer find their way into our orders also.

I dont know who is leaving all these 5 star reviews but this place is basically never open. Their hours are a complete oddity... Not open during hours people could actually eat there, and rarely ever see any cars. The one time we went in to eat, it was literally $20/person for Pho and drink. Party of 5 will cost you $100. For Pho. No joke, that is insane. In Danang that would be maybe $10 max for good Pho. Elsewhere in Plano you can get Pho for half the price. Between the price gouging and their hours of in-operation, I cannot understand how they stay in business let alone have hundreds of Google reviews. Seems fishy.

I ordered $15 Large pho and wow you call that a large? and with that weird shaped bowl so you can save soup and ingredients? WILL NEVER GO BACK Update: Hi, I dont care if you dont use MSG or use very high quality ingredients or not. Im not saying your food didnt taste good because you did not use MSG. You can always season it with salt or some other way instead of MSG. Your food is BLAND like REALLY BLAND, NO TASTE OR WHATSOEVER. If you really think about customers, how about changing the bowl first instead arguing? I am assuming that is how you rip off customers by giving less portions with that bowl saying Large. Dont worry I will never go back

Prime rib pho ($15) large (+$2) was Only OK. The broth here was very beefy. At first it lacked the pho taste, needed more star & clove flavor. I only tasted the concentrated flavor near the bottom of my bowl. The meat was plentiful, tasty, & well cooked. But, I m not sure why people started charging over $15+ for a bowl of pho. I have tried many of these restaurants. But have yet to find one, that has this overly expensive bowl of pho, that was worth the price. The decor was nice and clean. There was even a small place for very small kids to play. Good luck to the restaurant.
