We visited this pizza place on a busy Friday night, and it was packed! After a 40-minute wait, we finally got a table and ordered based on our waiter s recommendation. We tried The Don and the Chicken BBQ pizza. While The Don was just okay, the Chicken BBQ really stood out and was definitely our favorite. One of the highlights of the experience was sitting outside there s a nice view that adds to the overall atmosphere. The service was fantastic despite how busy it was, and the staff was attentive and friendly throughout. We ll definitely be back to try more of their pizzas!

Placed an online order and was told it would be ready in 45 minutes. I got there at the time provided to me and when I arrived, I was told they were getting the oven ready for dinner and it would be another 25 minutes before they could even start my pizza. On top of that the GM said he doesnt know why I want my money back. I will not be returning to this place.

It was busy, but the server was on point, so was the food!! Parking: You have to walk, BUT the scene was really nice. Water fountain walking path and a small park to sit and people watch. Great for a date or girls night out. There are lots of retail shops too.

This was recommended by my niece. First off.. Very long wait. Waitress was not very accommodating. First off the biggest things I watch for is cleanliness. I spilled a cup of water due to stuff stuck to the table underneath the table cloth. The table was very, very dirty, like stuck on food, that was definitely there longer than a day. The guy that came over to clean it couldnt even get all the stuck on food off of it. They just placed another table cloth over it. Ickkkk... The pizza was warm due to the time she took to bring it. We asked for a reheat, and she said they dont do it once they slice it. We spent 168.00, and I was definitely not impressed at all. I definitely wanted to ask for an adjustment due to all the issues, but I just took it as Ill just not return. Its in a very nice shops area so its very surprising to be so misleading and not worth the wait.

An hour wait on a Saturday night with great temperature was expected. We sat on the patio and watched the live music happening in the courtyard. We had excellent service. It was loud, but there was a cover band playing, so that was expected. Loved the entire experience. The kids played in the park while we waited, which made the wait bearable. Wonderful, great, awesome night. I look forward to the next night here with the most beautiful woman in my world

Once again, pizza was very dry, burned and skimpy toppings. WAY over priced for frozen type pizza, actually the worse pizza I ever had. Service is very slow, over 30 minutes to receive order. The place is all teenagers that have no idea what they are doing, the guy making our pizza was probably 16 years old. Likely he was playing a video game while working. Did not see a single manager. Will never go back.

The last three times we have come to this location, its been some reason they are not serving/operating their ovens. First time, pipe burst--unavoidable, understandable. The last two times they were cleaning ovens and non operable. I understand that it needs to be done, but to be a pizza place and not serve pizza for 1-1.5hr? Also the times they are nonoperable for cleaning seem to be inconsistent so unless you guess right, you wasted your time driving there (first time was 2:30, this time 3:30). They should just close for a consistent period of time and LIST it on their hours so people dont waste time coming to this location. Permanently switching locations to the plano location.

First and last time here. My issue is the same as the last persons review. $27 for 18 classic pizza with sausage. Which really all we got was bread, cheese, sauce and super scant amount of sausage. Highway robbery. They were also short staffed and customer service wasn t great. They were kind but didn t really have a clue as to what was going on with my order. Had to ask for my pizza after waiting for 40 minutes. It was already ready just sitting there getting cold. A bit ridiculous if you ask me.

Why, in a restaurant that s only half full, do I have to wait nearly 30 minutes for just one pizza? Why would they serve me a burnt mess and act like it s perfectly fine? Why does nobody bother to check the quality of what theyre putting out? Why promote a Prosciutto pizza only to deliver something that s 100% salty and rock-hard? Does a Prosciutto pizza have the prosciutto burnt or fresh, I wonder? What do you do as a cook with a burnt pizza? What s with the layer of tasteless white paste on the crust that you can see right through? And why do they charge me 15% more than what the menu says? I cant help but wonder... why is this happening? ... and all that happened on a Saturday evening... what might happen at rush hour with a full house? No wonder so many other recent reviews are just 1 and 2 stars... What steps are you, Grimaldis managers, planning to take to address these issues? Thank you.

I dined here this evening, 27 July, and the experience here was absolutely terrible. This location was extremely cramped and doesn t make for a good atmosphere. Starting with the two young girls up front, they seemed to be completely incompetent. As far as the food, the pizza was less than satisfactory, and is not what I ve been accustomed to from Grimaldi s. The crust was chewy and had an unfavorable taste, the pizza was overly sauced, and it had a different flavor profile than what I m used to with Grimaldi s. Zero stars for the pizza. The Caesar salad wasn t worth getting ever again. I hope this isn t Grimaldi s new standard. The visit here was a complete disappointment and I won t be returning again. I m very disappointed with this location - I hope the other locations in DFW aren t this bad.

If you havent had Grimaldis pizza, make the trip. They use old world pepperoni and Buffalo mozzarella. They have modified their water system to mimic Brooklyn tap water so they can perfectly emulate that delectable Brooklyn crust. They use coal-fired ovens. Maybe I should have started with that. Its hard to beat this pizza. Its also a great place to dine in, with the ambiance of fine dining. I highly recommend!

Weve been regulars at Grimaldis Pizzeria at the Allen and other locations for many years. Yesterday, we visited Grimaldis to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary a place that holds special memories since its where I proposed to my wife. Grimaldis Pizzeria has always had a special place in our hearts. Weve cherished the robust flavors in every slice and admired the way their brick fire oven crisps the dough. However, our experience last night was disappointing. There were a couple of issues that stood out to us: Firstly, the pizza tasted unusually bitter and lacked its usual depth. We wondered if there had been a change in the tomato sauce supplier or other things. Secondly, while parts of the pizza were nicely toasted, the crust toward the middle was overly soggy, suggesting uneven cooking. When we mentioned these concerns to the wait staff, they seemed unaware of any recent changes in the kitchen. Its unfortunate to see a decline in the quality of our favorite pizza. We hope the management team will investigate these issues. Thank you.

Went here on a Saturday evening with friends and to enjoy the music at Waters Creek. First visit to Grimaldis ever. Waited about 20 mins for a table for 4 which wasnt too bad. Ordered Grimaldis house salad with no tomatoes and a 12 inch traditional with pepperoni and Italian sausage. Got the Grimaldis salad but no olives as the menu indicated it would be served with. Pizza was OK. I was disappointed in the skimpy toppings. Not a lot of flavor either. Server was very slow and we had to ask for things multiple times (water, refills on drinks, etc.) All of us ordered small 12 pizzas and they all came out at different times instead of together. Had to ask for the check 2x. When she finally brought it out, she hadnt split it into 4 separate checks as requested. So she went back to split it -- 20 mins later she comes back out and its still wrong. Beyond frustrated at the over 90 minute dinner due to slow service. I will not go back nor will I try any other location. The food just isnt good enough to give it another chance.

Updated this, went here for the first time in a few years after moving out of the area and had an all around bad experience. Staff was clearly overwhelmed which lead to slow service, and our appetizer salad arriving with the first pizza which we ordered 20 minutes later . The pizza itself was the most disappointing part, the crust was clearly lacking enough salt and was bland and tasteless and the distribution of the sauce and cheese was wildly inconsistent. The late salad itself was good so there was that.

I got the largest pizza they offer. I did sausage, mushroom and grilled chicken as my toppings. It was good for a freshly, straight out the oven, homemade pizza! The cheese was freshly cut, the sauce was homemade, and the topics were hand sliced! If you re the type of person to like pizza from Pizza Hut or Domino s, this is not the place for you. But if you like fresh and healthy this is definitely what you re looking for! Also, on top of the pizza being good, the atmosphere and the service was great! I personally won t be back as it s not the type of pizza I long for, but I will recommend it to my friends and family! Additionally I want to add that they have a rewards program and after sign up you get a free starter with your meal, which I did bread with fresh mozzarella, salami, olives, etc. and for it being the first time I ve ever had something like that, I d give it a 3/5! Overall, great pizza place!!

02/24/24: I decided to give this place one last chance and I received a deformed pie, a salad with 5 croutons and no forks, napkins, cheese or chili flakes with my order. Never coming back here. -------- This location has been going down hill. I didnt want to leave a review but this is the third time we have a weird or poor experience. We walked in because we wanted to put in an order to go. We were told that they couldnt make pizza until 4 pm because they were in stoking. Between poorly made pizza, cold orders and now this, we wont be coming back anytime soon. -To add, I do understand grills and wood-fired ovens have a stoking time... Which usually happens at the beginning of the shift, and wood and coals are added as needed to keep the fire going. Its a little strange to me that this would be done in the middle of the day when the restaurant is already open.

You pay $30 for a pizza that is always either wrong or so burnt that the crust crumbles in your hands. They also never cut the slices even or all the way through. This place gets a lot of hype, I do not understand why... our pizza (Brooklyn Bridge) came out cold and did not have any undercarriage whatsoever, so it was mushy/floppy. We ordered a smaller pizza (Quattro Cheese) and it was an improvement but soaked in olive oil, so thats what the pizza tasted like. This was after lunch, but before dinner, there were only four tables being serviced, not busy at all. This is the third time Ive been here and we only came because we had gift cards... I told my fiance, if you gave me a choice between Cicis pizza and Grimaldi, it would be Cicis by a landslide... I dont doubt that Grimaldi has quality ingredients, I believe they do, but if the end product is subpar, it doesnt matter. Its a bummer because I love pizza and I want this place to be good, but we get disappointed everytime.

The service was slow, we waited a God 10-15 without a server checking in with us, and I finally had to go ask a server to send someone over to get us started. Later, when our pizza came out (we could see the kitchen from our table) it sat there for a solid 5+ mins before they even cut it, and another few mins after that before it made it to our table. It literally was about the temperature of a slight ly late delivery pizza by the time we got it, which is not at all what one should expect or accept from a top-tier pizza place like Grimaldis, where youre paying a premium for some of the best pizza around. They need to up their game again if theyre gonna continue to be a go-to place for family events and such, at least for my family.

Stopped here early on Sunday thinking we would beat the crowd and we were wrong. The service was slow today. Got our drink orders quickly but it took quite awhile to get a salad and even longer still to receive the pizza. Our table cloth was dirty. We watched people at another table pull a lemon wedge out from under their table cloth plus some other remnants of food. Later we saw that they just flip the tablecloth s after a customer leaves which meant our tablecloth s had not been changed since the night before. The food was good but the lack of cleanliness will probably mean we won t be back.

Stopped by for a quick casual dinner and sat at the bar. We ordered a 16 inch pizza half mushroom, half sun dried tomato. There were perhaps a total of 5 mushroom pieces and the same amount of sun dried tomato s on the other side. The pizza was fairly tasteless and disappointing. The bartender apologized took off the charge for the mushrooms which was nice, but didn t really make up for the poor pizza.

My recent experience at Grimaldis was beyond disappointing. I love their Brooklyn Bridge pizza and had been looking forward to having it again. But alas... 1. There was no hostess for about 10 minutes after we (a friend and I) arrived, and when she did show up, she didnt bother to ask who had been waiting the longest and just went straight to the last two parties to arrive...one of them needing a table for 11. 2. The pizza I ordered was a favorite of mine from there, so I knew what to expect. I didnt get it. The bottom of the pizza was very charred, yet somehow simultaneously soggy. It had very little sausage or cheese and had random items thrown on it that didnt belong...an olive, a basil leaf, and a wayward mushroom (which Im allergic to btw). I ordered a large so I could bring some home to my husband...which brings me to point number three. 3. The tables are too close together. Wait staff struggles to get through and youre bumping into the person in the chair behind you because there is no room. Which is WHY I have to bring pizza home to my husband. He is in a wheelchair and this restaurant is NOT wheelchair friendly. On top of that, its very loud. Sometimes it was a struggle to hear my friend across the table. Service, food and atmosphere...all subpar. Nearly $40 for a large pizza, water and tip...definitely NOT worth it. At least I got to see a friend, though. There are local pizza spots with better pizzas, service and prices. I will stick with them.

We had a surreal experience here today. It started when we arrived. There was a couple in front of us. There was no hostess to be found. Several employees were standing around, talking, or on their phones, but no one addressed the four of us waiting to be seated. After ten minutes, a young woman who had been staring at us came to seat the other party and us. The restaurant was empty, but no one bothered to clean the tables. Several tables didn t even have a tablecloth. After a few minutes waiting for a server, the other table left without ordering. This should have been our clue to bail. We decided to stay. We ordered, and a few minutes later other people arrived and were seated. My salad came out, and the chicken was so dry and hard that it was inedible. I inquired about our pizza, since the table next to us received their pizza before us, even though they ordered ten minutes later. Ten minutes after that, our server finally realized a tall, blond server with long hair gave our pizza to another table. That table got the second pizza (the one they ordered) before we got our pizza. What a fiasco. This place has serious issues. Before we left we witnessed two other tables next to us receive the wrong pizza. Someone here lacks basic literacy skills.

I recently had the unfortunate pleasure of dining at Grimaldis Pizza, and I cannot express enough how disappointed I am with the entire experience. From start to finish, it was a culinary catastrophe. Our order, a seemingly straightforward request for four pizzas, was somehow too much for the staff to handle. They managed to forget to input our order, leading to an agonizing hour-long wait. To add insult to injury, our drinks remained untouched and empty throughout the entire ordeal. When we mustered the courage to confront the staff about the excruciatingly slow service, their attitude was nothing short of appalling. Its as if they took pride in their incompetence, providing no sincere apology or attempt to rectify the situation. Even the managers intervention failed to salvage the situation. Not only did the compensation for our inconvenience fall far short of acceptable, but the managers dismissive attitude left a bitter taste in our mouths, figuratively and literally. In conclusion, Grimaldis Pizza has managed to create an unforgettable dining experience, though not in the way they might hope. From the neglectful service to the lackluster attempt at resolution, this establishment has lost a once-loyal customer. Save yourself the trouble and choose a pizza place that values its patrons and understands the basics of customer service. P.S. our dyed-blonde waiter was a coward who made a woman apologize for his incompetence.

We waited for over an hour to have 2 tiny pizzas served to us while we watched people get seated next to us 30 minutes after we sat down get served at the same time. With larger pizzas. Plus the pizza was somehow doughy on the top and burnt on the bottom. This pizza is nothing to write home about, service is abysmal, and its very loud, crowded, and not at all fun. We waited 30 minutes for a table, an hour and 15 minutes for the food, and half an hour for a check. Togo orders seem to have preference so if you enjoy this sub par pizza, I recommend ordering ahead and take it home where you will probably be able to hear yourself think.

The coal-fired pizza steals the spotlight with its unique and enticing flavors. The crust, crisp and charred from the coal oven, sets the stage for a symphony of tastes. Whether you opt for a classic Margherita or an adventurous topping combination, each slice offers a delightful interplay of textures and a rich, smoky undertone that distinguishes it from the ordinary. Amidst the pizza and salad offerings, the addition of a bar featuring a selection of beer and wine enhances the overall atmosphere. It provides the perfect opportunity to pair your meal with a carefully chosen beverage, elevating the dining experience. The curated drink menu adds an extra layer of sophistication to the cozy and inviting ambiance. Notably, the inclusion of Pepsi in the beverage options brings a familiar and refreshing touch to the table. Parking: Theres a parking structure behind the shops.

We live close to the restaurant and have tried this location on three separate occasions during NON busy times! Still, I kid you not: we have consistently waited 45 minutes to an HOUR AND A HALF for mediocre, overpriced pizza every single time. I order a pizza for pickup and was told it would be ready in 80min, I come by 60min later and the attendant looks in the warmer and says it not ready even though I see it in the warmer. I tell her and she gets rude and says the promise time is 80min. I literally sat there and waited another 20min and then she took it out of the warmer and gave it to me.

Understaffed with Extremely rude server and burnt pizza. Riley was accompanied with another female server who seemed decent and kind. She began by ordering our food to another table number. Which as a previous bartender and server I understand happens when you re busy. She had two tables at the time however including ourselves. The other table happily took our food and instead of any apology or acknowledgement she (Riley) ignored us and had another kind server deal with our food. She then went over to the table that got our food and made jokes about them eating our dinner and how full they would be. Our pizza afterwards was thrown on the table with no other words while she continued to go back to the other table and laugh about their good-luck and fortune. Will not understand or care for low quality care while not being busy.

We have visited here a few times. The pizza us ok. The last visit we awful and we wont be back. We ordered a cheese pizza the pizza that came out was mostly sauce. I asked the server if this was normal he looked at the pizza and looked at us and said no I m sorry. Thankfully they comped the pizza. We sat outside this time. I had to ask for two tables to be cleared three times two different servers. No one wanted to do it. The reason I asked for the tables to be cleared is the sweet drinks and little food left out brought tons of flies. I asked if they could clear the tables in hopes it would help with the flies. I know there is only so much that can be done about flies. Our waiter finally cleared the tables himself after asking his co-workers multiple times. The service was great and so was our waiter. The food was terrible. We have tried three times and havent had a great experience. This place needs help. Leadership is weak and teamwork isnt a thing here.

BEWARE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. I ordered one 16 pizza. It was half/half of their signature pizzas. It was half their signature prosciutto arugula (normally $29 for a full 16 ) and half of their signature Brooklyn (normally $28 for a full 16 ). They charged me $41 for a 16 pizza!! $41! Claimed that because I did a half and half that they had to charge the $29 for the prosciutto plus $12 extra dollars for the other toppings. Even though there was only half of each. If that is how they operate their business then their servers need to clarify that UPFRONT. It is extremely unethical to be charged that for a 16 pizza, thinking at most I was going to be charged the $29 because one half was the more expensive pizza. Will not be going back. Pizza was not even that good to warrant $41.

I ve been going to Grimaldi s for years and have always loved the pizza and staff. However, my last visit left a sour taste. There were 3 hostesses at the front giggling and gossiping and even taken photos on the tablet they re supposed to use for seating. Instead of doing their jobs and finding us a table a server walked up to them concerned about the amount of time we had been waiting. There were multiple tables visually empty in the main dining room, and when asked about empty tables we were told that we had to wait for plates to be set down. I believe this last experience was a poor representation of my usual visit to Grimaldi s and I hope it s better in the future.

If we were at the least warned beforehand we could have considered other dining options or would have no little to no room to complain regarding what was to come. Why not provide the courtesy of notifying us that your establishment is incapable of accommodating our party in a timely manner? Why could our orders not be served at even nearly the same time? Why did our party have to eat one section at a time? Why not let us eat together? Was this one time dining experience worth sacrificing our future patronage? Anyways, our waiter was great though.
