Always a great experience. The food is authenic Greek Mediterranean, made fresh with great portions for the price. Had the dinner for 6 and the 2 orders of the chicken wings. Spread for football sunday, somthong different than pizza or tacos and La Shish didnt disappoint comfortably fed 8. Second time eating here and will definitely be back again. Didnt take pictures before my guests devored the spread!

Found this lovely place by accident; the lady was really welcoming The falafel is freshly made, and you can taste the aromatic and fresh ingredients. The perfect change when youre looking for alternatives to fatty greek and starchy food... Honestly, the best and juciest Falafel and hummus Ive ever had, I simply couldnt stop eating :) This is the best Mediterranean and Greek Restaurant in DFW! As simple as that.

Horribly disappointed. Horrible. I have ordered from and eaten here numerous times. This time I ordered the Family Dinner Delight for 4 people online for $99. It said it came with spinach pies. The order was supposed to be ready in 30 minutes. When we got there 35 minutes later, they said they accidentally gave our order to someone else. So we wait another 20 minutes. When I get home, I see that there are no spinach pies. I called the restaurant 3 times and there was no answer. I had to drive back with 15 minutes until closing. Once inside, I explained what happened. I was told that spinach pies were not included in the Family Dinner. I showed him online that it was. He told me that it changed and the website wasn t updated. I asked for the pies. He did not want to give them to me and told me he just worked there and had to call the owner. OK. I looked at the in house menu. The same order showed no pies, but was $89, $10 less than what I paid online. I politely pointed that out. I don t think he even understood what I said. So I eventually left with 3 pies for a dinner for 4 and paid $10 for 3 pies. I know it seems crazy to make such a big deal about spinach pies, but that s really not what it was about. The service was super slow, the staff was rude and argued with me, and I left with less than what I paid for. Next time I ll go to Demassi s down the road. La Shish lost me as a customer. I should have received better service for a $100 takeout order and I even left a tip when I ordered. On another note, I don t know why takeout/delivery requests a tip before service has even been rendered. It should be an option for adding after the fact.

Dolmas tasted good but from a jar. The gyro plate was good, which came with some tasty lemon forward hummus, good taziki, boring slightly dry rice, and basic pita and salad. Baklava was the biggest disappointment-very basic, very dry, store bought. Overall: two sodas, one app, one entree, and two (bad) desserts, and tip, all for $50. If I go back, itll just be for a gyro sandwich to go.

Great food and great place to dine in Allen! We got the dip sampler, Mediterranean delight, chicken shawarma wrap (the fries were crispy and flavorful), grilled chicken wrap, and the gyro wrap. All were very delicious and a fair price, shoutout to the tzatziki and baba ghanoush that was so so yummy.

Dry chicken, dry rice could be old even. I hate writing negative reviews but I couldn t just not give it a review. I m hoping they either improve (significantly) or customers just avoid making my mistake. It says Greek but really it s Arab style, which is fine but why the misleading advertising? Nice guy at the front. Told me it would take 15 - 20 for beef dishes. I couldnt wait so I ordered chicken to go. Guess what? It took 15 mins for the ready chicken. I could ve ordered beef like i wanted. I don t normally throw food, but I did in this case.

Tried this little hole in the wall place and absolutely loved it. Came on a down time so got to choose seats. I got the Mediterranean delight plate and my husband got the chicken kabob. His chicken was packed with flavor as well as the hummus they served right before the meal. My plate has a sampler of everything which I loved since I got to try the falafel for the first time. The impact of flavors is rich here. Would absolutely recommend.

The worst experience ever, bad customer service, bad manager. I called to do 2 orders of family Dinner Delight and under talking to the receptionist with his manger I made an order for 8 people.I asked them not to cut the chicken or the kabob and keep it as is full pieces. After I paid and hanged up, they call me back and told me that sheish kabob comes 3 pieces for 4 adults. I wondered how this works and heard the receptionist talking to the manger that I m not happy with that, so he said his manager is saying that this time he will make it to me as 4 but not any more or next time, I was mad that they made me feel I m begging for extra kabob while I m already making order for two 4 adults order, should I give 3 adults kabob and the fourth guest tell him I m sorry you don t get one . I asked to talk to the manager he refused and the receptionist start raising his voice on me that I shouldn t say anything and the manager doesn t want to talk to me. I canceled my order and he said ok. Just to mention, this was not the first bad experience, but they always show cheap by doing orders. And trying to reduce the quantity by cutting the kabob and chicken into small pieces and me as a customer pay for something less without me knowing.

The hummus is some of the best we have eaten. We tried both the regular and spicy hummus. The beef kebap is tender, not dry. We loved the rice and the tsaziki sauce that had plenty of garlic. We have eaten at many Mediterranean restaurants and this is one of our favorites.

The portion size is actually kind of small. One pita for the Mediterranean delight is not enough. The kabab was small and cold. No utensils for to go order and $22 with the tea that was ordered as sweet and was confirmed as sweet by the staff only to be unsweet at home. when customers go to your website and order it makes it look like the ordering is being done through the website. so when I arrive and you asked me if I ordered on Uber I have no idea what youre talking about. There appears to be gaps in your online ordering process.

Terrible place. I ordered the falafel wrap without garlic butter. Well, it came out with garlic butter and the rice had chicken broth. None of which I eat. He not once offered to fix the problem. And I am so mad about tipping him. Terrible place. I have been having diarrhea all night and all day and as greedy and badly run as this place is, I cannot tell which caused the diarrhea. And if they dont answer their phone it is not a good business.

An excellent Mediterranean restaurant with all freshly prepared food, Cosy atmosphere and very helpful stuffs. The spicy hummus here is a 200 percent recommended dish - it is so very tasty!! Falafel ,Dolma, chicken swarma and chicken kabobs are also superb - while they taste awesomely delicious, they are not at all oily. Am very very impressed with the quality of food here.

I tried a new restaurant today, it was called La Shish. Its up in Allen, TX on Main street. We had the Baba ganoush, the fattoush salad and falafel pita. The baba ganoush was nice and Smoky, just the way I like it, I highly recommend if you like anything Mediterranean, eggplant or smokey in flavor. I love the atmosphere, the atmosphere exceeded my expectations, it was kind of a mix of Mediterranean & Moroccan which I thoroughly enjoyed. It looks both clean and fun as well as exotic and I wouldnt mind going back. We were seated immediately and the waitress was very nice and patient. Just the right level of attentive, not too much, not too little, just right! First off, I want to say the food was very good. Excellent flavor and portion size. However, the service was absolutely abysmal. We waited 15 minutes just to get our order taken, and then another 20-25 minutes just to receive our drinks. We had to ask one of the employees in the back for them. We did not get a refill, and our server never returned for the remainder of our time there. I had to get up and ask to pay as we were left sitting there for another 25-30 minutes after finishing. There were several other customers waiting a long time for their orders, and it was not very busy inside the restaurant. To top it off, we saw a customer that fell asleep in a booth waiting to place an order and the server did not address this. The staff does not appear to know how to operate a restaurant as they are extremely slow with only 4-5 tables being used. I am sad because the food is really great, but we will not be returning because of this.

The food here is so good! I definitely recommend it. The food is fresh and healthy. I took my order to go & it was ready when I arrived. I didnt realize that my childs chicken tenders were RAW in the middle and thats why he said they tasted weird (he ate two out of the four that came on his plate). We took them home and when I tried to tear one in half, thats when I saw they werent cooked. They arent even close to being thoroughly cooked. Im furious and told him to tell me if his stomach starts to hurt. Salmonella isnt something you take lightly. Ill be taking our leftovers back up to the restaurant tomorrow for a full refund and let them know that if my child gets sick, theyll be taking care of the medical bills.

We had a delicious lunch here. We ordered the Kofta platter and the Vegetarian Delight to share between us. The portion sizes were generous and filling without being gigantic, which was really nice! Everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful, plus the service was friendly and attentive. You can tell the staff puts their heart into their food, it is so good. Hello, Here is our review for this restaurant. Let start with saying that food is amazing in this place, if you are a fan of Mediterranean, Greek this food is good and on point. 4 stars on service because we were approached without a smile or a hi or how are you? ect .. they didnt have eggplant dip on the menu and when we order was just said we dont have that .. We recieve our food and no one ever checked back with us till we left. Drinks were empty . (We were served cans). Over charged for a can of coke if you dont offered seconds, So as we think place have a potential if servers are a little bit showing that they are liking what they are doing , or be more enthusiastic about offering a service. Credit card charge machine has to show a recipt with tip to be able to leave tip to the server. We left tip in a bowl by the register and because we didnt have the right amount of cash we under tip. Athmosfere, decoration was outdated, mostly plastic flowers ..the place smelled like Pinesol very strong . We seen the they just recently moped the floor cause floor signs were present but the smell was very strong and somehow distracted from the meal. We will go back again in the near future and we will give another review. The sign in front of the establishment is misleading. It says lunch buffet Monday through Friday. That is incorrect. The pita bread and sauce was good. I am usually a fan of Greek food, but the lamb tasted like it was frozen and reheated.

Ive been coming to lunch at La Shish for about a year. Always good food, fast and friendly service, great downtown location. I recommend their gyros. The bread they use is so fresh and delicious. Makes for a good light lunch. Best wishes! Parking: Plenty of parking.

First time eating at the La Shish and most definitely will not be our last. The food and hospitality were fantastic! We had the hummus, chicken, falafels and pita, everything was so scrumptious! You can taste the love and care in every bite. We also got a chance to try their chicken lemon and rice soup they will be adding to the menu. We are looking forward to ordering the soup during our next visit.

We had dinner here and the food was amazing. We had the gyro plate, chicken kabob roll with fries, and chicken kabob plate. The pita bread was hot and soft. The hummus was creamy and my daughter who has oral aversion could eat it. The kababs were juicy and succulent. The roll was amazing. The salad was also so tasty. They gave us some chicken soup to taste that they were planning to add to the menu and it was so delicious. The restaurant has basic decor. Most of their orders were togo. There was one server for the whole restaurant. He was very sweet and well mannered.

I had their gyro wrap w the fries and a side of rice on Friday. Its now sunday and I cant stop thinking about the gyro I want it so bad, I dont know if I was just really hungry when I ate it but that was the best meal I have ever had in recent memory The place was really cute as well the decorations were cute and the tables and chairs were nice. I liked their booth tables. That rice was phenomenal

We had no idea what we were walking into with this sweet, simple little Mediterranean restaurant. This was truly the best and freshest Mediterranean food we have eaten anywhere. The dishes were made with great care to absolute perfection. I have never eaten dolmas as tender and delicious as the ones we had. And the falafel was in a class by itself - very tender, fried to perfection, and the inside of the falafel was a delight I have never tasted like this. We enjoyed FRESH baked pita, warm from the oven, and delicious hummus and artichoke dip (baba ghanouj). All of this on the Mediterranean Platter served with delicious kobka (beef and lamb). We came for dinner and it was not crowded, but I believe they serve a buffet at lunch. Come check this place out. We will definitely be back!

This place was disappointing. I love Greek food and wanted to try this for my birthday lunch with family. I ordered the Gyro with Greek salad on side. The gyro pita was so greasy it was falling apart in my hands - I asked him for another pita without all the olive oil because so much olive oil was dripping off it. The gyro had too much lettuce on it - I guess their idea to reduce the amount of meat provided. I had to ask for tzaziki sauce which should come with any gyro. The salad didnt have cucumbers which is unusual for a greek salad - it was just lettuce and tomatoes - very basic. The service was not good, there was just one waiter for too many tables. We will not go back here - this was not a good experience at all. The owner needs to be more involved in the service being provided and the food being prepared.

It s been awhile since I last ate here. It s a reliable Greek restaurant that still hasn t added lentil soup to their menu. (I ve been asking for 5 years ) For a vegetarian like me, it s my go to first course when I break my fast when I can get it. The spinach pastries are in a thick dough that I don t love, too bready. Most Greek restaurants use a thinner dough. Dolmas were good, as was the hummus.

Haven t been to the restaurant physically but I ve ordered twice on Uber eats. It s really good. First time I got the gyro wrap, easily one of the best I ve had. Chicago has some great gyro places is but the gyro from LaShish is a new favorite. The second time I went I got the chicken kabob wrap. It was better than the gyro and the gyro was fantastic. The fries here are really good as well. Hummus is first rate. Don t get me started on the salad. I don t think you can go wrong here.

Extremely disappointed with this restaurant. Having read the positive reviews on Yelp, I drove from McKinney with my daughter for dinner tonight (Monday). Website says they are open until 9:00 PM. We walked in at 8:10 and there were no customers. The guy in the kitchen tells another employee were there. She comes out from the back and says the kitchen is closed. Again, it was 8:10! I said your website says youre open until 9:00. She just says the kitchen is closed. No Im so sorry no Please come back and see us again. I stood there waiting for some explanation and got nothing. We turned around and walked out. There are a lot of local restaurants trying to make it these days. This place literally didnt have a single customer and turned two people away that had driven over 20 minutes to have dinner. Needless to say, I will never go back and felt compelled to leave an honest, candid review so others would be better informed than we were.
