The story time was the perfect experience for my 4 year old and 1 year old. They got to see select dinosaurs in the warehouse but didnt have to sit through a whole tour that would likely be more detailed than their attention spans can handle. I love that they had art activities and toys for the kids to play with after the book as well.

We have attended many dinosaur exhibits over the past several years but non as informative and interesting. My grandsons were able to see a warehouse full of dinosaurs up close and personal. Thanks to our tour guide who provided a wealth information about the animated creatures, we learn so much about the history and unique characteristics of each dinosaur. Definitely recommend it.

Took our elementary students for a field. The warehouse was hot and there are no activities planned for the children. This is purely a production center which is good but there is nothing to engage the students or make it fun. Our travel time was longer than the actual time on the premises. The production tour was supposed to be an hour long but it lasted only 40 minutes. Wouldn t recommend for Summer camp groups.

She was knowledgeable and friendly, and patiently answered our questions. Karrie engaged with the two children with us and made their visit fun! Secondly, The Dinosaur Company is a fascinating place for all ages. We enjoyed learning about the dinosaurs and how they are crafted.

We went for the free story time and valentine crafts but the best part was actually the dinosaur corral. We paid $3 per person (infants free) and it was totally worth it! They give you a wrist band and you re free to roam in and out of the showroom after story time. It s great for littles with short attention spans but a love for large creatures and dinosaurs! If you have more than one little I d recommend a front pack or a stroller. It s only one room but bigger kids will want to be lifted to touch the larger creatures. They aren t allowed to cross the yellow lines along the path so having somewhere to keep the tiny ones contained is helpful. It was the perfect non-crowed, affordable, no-stress experience. The staff was extremely friendly, which is much appreciated when you re juggling lots of little people! Haha

I love this place, but I was disappointed by the way the lady at the front desk treated my daughter. My daughter has autism, and she was having a hard time deciding which toy she wanted. She was quiet and didnt make much eye contact, but she kept coming back to the front desk area to look at the toys. I think the lady may have been bothered by this, because she gave my daughter an unpleasant look. In addition to the above, I would also like to add that me and my kids were only staying at this place for a short period of time. We were only there for about 10 minutes, so it is even more disappointing that the lady at the front desk treated my daughter so poorly. I believe that all people should be treated with respect, regardless of their differences.

We have been interested in visiting this since the boys are interested in Robotics and Coding as well as dinosaurs. My nephews are 7 and 10 and we did the hour tour with Livy. First of all, there were 2 ladies at the front desk when we walked in and they were both full of energy and excitement which was a great tone to start the day off with. Livy was great with the kids and she was so full of light and knowledge and seemed to have a genuine love for dinosaurs and with giving the tour. I wasnt entirely sure what to expect from the time there but we learned so much about dinosaurs and also how they make the the animatronics. While we only got the tip of the iceberg when it came to their process, it was very interesting and way above my non-science brain. Livy never lost her enthusiasm, interacted wonderfully with the boys and kept them engaged. When we left after the tour, the older boy stated that he had a lot of fun and asked when he thought we could go back for another tour. I call that a win for time and money spent!

Everyone is nice, except a manager, her name I believe is Samantha. Was very annoyed and RUDE, i honestly don t think she should be working directly with costumers or the kids. The cashier was super nice, I don t know her name and other people who read story time were very pleasant and friendly people. Samantha just ruined my whole morning and caused a lot of stress Edit: my child wasn t playing around fossils, he held a toy in a toy section that we bought for 60$. There were plushies and plastic toys. Also, she could ask politely not with annoying and irritated voice. And no one gave us bag when we bought a toy, she didn t bring any assuming I ll get a bag out of nowhere

I picked up a load of Dinosaurs from the Knoxville city zoo to deliver here. Billings had their own crew there to load and strap in the pieces then were there to unstrap and unload at their warehouse in Allen TX. Everyone helpful and friendly. I arrived Saturday afternoon for a Monday morning delivery and an employee came up and talked to me, assured me I could park there till Monday despite all the no overnight truck parking signs. 15-20 min later she was knocking on my door to offer 4 ice cold bottles of water since I would be there so long and said they d be there if I needed anything. Wasn t bothered for the day and a half I parked there. The unloaders were kind enough to open, close my doors and put my straps in the side box for me;) Couldn t have been a better experience.

I ll definitely be giving them another shot, and I highly recommend keeping an eye on their special events for some cute family fun.

Trystan was phenomenal, he was so attentive to all the children a d answered all their questions. Everyone felt included. I was a little worried bc I read some reviews and it was reported that all the children in the front were asked questions. Trystan went above and beyond, even when some children were rude he politely corrected actions with grace(ie some children were cutting in front of others). This was a great experience, customer service was superb from entry and exit. I am a very hard person to please but I am impressed. One thing I would suggest is the area looks to clutter and for the dinosaur tour if there was a place were it looks realand they were separated so we can enjoy the experience. It looks like a cool warehouse. Thank you again

He knew all about dinosaurs, plus he explained the stages that The Dinosaur Co. uses in manufacturing. We were lucky that every stage of the building process was active during our visit. The depth of scientific research that goes into making each dino to be as authentic as possible is staggering. Our guide, Diane, a paleontologist in her own right, was a font of information on dinosaurs from when they lived, what they ate, predators, to the impact of evolution on dinos, the role of pangea, how you DNA test eggs, and the artistic, robotic and manufacturing details that go into each. I will definitely be back and hopefully with a class of HS students in tow. Many thanks.

We came for a 1 hour tour with an 8 year old dinosaur crazy boy and his 5 year old sister. (Had planned to visit Heard Museum but were informed the dinos had returned to their summer shelter at Billings Production). The 8 year old and 2 adults thoroughly enjoyed the tour, however it s a bit long for the 5 year old. The 30 minute tour would have been fine for her, so if you are planning to come with younger children, consider that. Tristan was our guide, and has a thorough knowledge of the construction facility, the process, and of course the dozens of dinosaur species on display. He had no difficulty answering any of our questions, and was comfortable engaging in conversations with both the children and the adults. Photos are allowed everywhere except the actual manufacturing area, and the models can be touched and in some cases ridden. This is a fascinating place where the true scale of these animals can be appreciated. The science is very up to date, including incorporation of recent findings about skin texture, life cycle from eggs through juvenile, feathers, posture and gait. At $20 for adults, it s well worth the effort of driving the hour that we did. Note, be sure to tell your GPS the exact address we just asked Siri for Billings Production and were first directed to the old manufacturing warehouse in McKinney.

Our guide Tristan was great. Really knowledgeable and interacted with my dino fanatic a lot. There was some interaction with the dino animatronics but for the most part just a lot of photo opportunities. We enjoyed it and are glad we did it but wouldnt repeat visit as I think the kids would be bored seeing the same thing over again.

We did the Dino Explorers 30 min tour and loved it! Took my kiddos 7/5/3/1. The 3/1 rode in the stroller most of the time. All of them loved seeing the dinos and walking around the factory. We learned a ton too. It was a good length of time. Gift shop was cute at the end. We went on a day where there were free dino crafts afterwards which was fun. We paid an extra $3pp to do the creature coral after crafts but it was essentially the same as our tour so I wish Id known that and saved that money. Oh well! All in all we had a lot of fun and would definitely go back!

My husband and I have been 4 times before with grandkids and the Stonebridge Travel group, but we still got new information we hadnt heard before. The hour tour flew by. Tristan was knowledgeable and kind. He answered all of our questions. This tour has become a must see when friends and relatives come to visit us in McKinney.

Overall it is a nice place to take your kids to experience but there are a couple of things that need improving; - If you do not want kids to touch dinosaurs you should put a barrier instead of a yellow line. There were a couple of times when your tour guide tried to correct my kids in an unprofessional manner. I did not say anything since he was a young teenager. So, there should be an area where kids can touch dinosaurs and play with them without unnecessary warnings. -Also tour guide was addressing and focusing only on the child who is in front of the group. He should interact with other kids equally. The only time the tour guide was interacting with kids at back for warning them not to touch dinosaurs.

The staff is absolutely amazing and so easy to work with, the tour guides are always fun and have lots of cool dinosaur info to share, and being able to see behind the scenes for the animatronic dino making process is fun for all ages. We had kids from 6-15 in our group and they all had a blast. The adults all love it too!

A friend and I held a joint birthday party here for ourselves with a small group of friends--and it was so fun! We got to color, play games, and paint keepsake dino teeth keychains. They made us special adult goodie bags and even busted out the more adult coloring options. We enjoyed the pizza, too (had never had that restaurant before). Our tour leads were great and ready to answer our questions along the way, and while only one other person in the party loves dinos as much as I do, everyone had a good time and loved learning about the productions. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about the assembly process and dinosaurs in general. Booked my sons birthday here. I thought this would be more interactive/entertaining. It was a tour of a hot warehouse (booked in June) of static dinosaurs stacked in front of each other. None of them were active, there were no activities and nothing going on to see/watch. Then I had to pay a 15% gratuity, for what? The only thing the host did was 1. Decorate (same decorations for the 3 parties that day I m sure) 2. lead the tour (did a decent job) and 3. Deliver the pizza, did not serve or help with any flow of the party. Offered to help carry things out after the fact. Overall kind of boring, and WAY overpriced. No refund for less guests. Would not recommend for a kids party.

This was so fun! We came for their free monthly storytime. When we arrived, there were several tables set up with activities and crafts. After a few minutes, storytime started. It was hard to understand the readers, so my early reader just got up closer to be able to read the book himself as they held up the pages. After the story time, we got to have extra time at the activity and craft tables. They were filming for a promotion when I went, so we got to have a free tour in exchange for getting filmed (no faces). It was amazing. HUGE dinosaurs and other animatronic creatures. Many didnt move. It was hard to understand the tour guide, especially since its set in a warehouse and I was following behind the group with a stroller. My kids loved it so much and all the kids in the group would climb on the dinosaurs, large insects, etc. So many photo ops. It was incredible to see some behind-the-scenes aspects of making these huge and artful creatures. There was a fun dinosaur dig at the end of the tour and a well-stocked gift shop when you enter the building. I paid for the Creature Corral (minimal pricing) for after the storytime, but Im not sure which part was the Creature Corral vs the tour. It was a ton of fun and hope to go again some time.
