This hotel is not located near La Plaza Mall and the McAllen Outlet. During the stay a cricket came out in the room and more variety is needed in the breakfast dishes. Rooms: They need better decoration and cleaning in the bathrooms, since a cricket came out. Food and drinks: A greater variety of foods is needed in the breakfast area.

Had some family come from out of town Thursday and Friday staying there at La Quinta we got into the room and there was hair still in the tub walls and there was rust all over the bathtub and a lot of you could see a lot of patch work done the office deck was missing formica lights didnt work properly I could go on and on I would think twice if you want to take your family there if youre there by yourself I would do it for a night I wouldnt recommend it

My first visit was a good one. Although, the room with carpet needs work and pest control. Availability was limited and was only able to stay for one night. Staff was friendly and quick to attend my needs. Cleanliness for the rooms was great although I did find some cockroaches in the furniture. Nearby activities: Close to alot of stores and shopping centers.

I had an amazing stay here with everything from check-in to conflict resolution being so easy and efficient. The location was great and put me close to everywhere I wanted to go. My room was spacious and was cleaned daily. Every employee I interacted with was wonderful, but I especially want to shout out Belle at the front desk! She is so kind, charismatic, and helpful :) Thank you for a great stay!

Only stayed here because of the reviews on Expedia. Check in was easy. When we got to our room the was a roach crawling on the wall then turned around to see another crawling on the wall!! HELL NO! called the front desk. Got a new room. We were only staying one night and it was already late. New room was remodeled with no carpet. We took our chances. Went to get breakfast on the morning. There was a roach crawling in the middle of the dining room. DISGUSTING. THIS PLACE IS INFESTED!! Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.

The rooms are in terrible shape and I found bed bugs. Worse yet. There was no manager to address my concerns. House keeping did not think they were bugs, but they were and are and Id never stay there again because they never called me back. The description of the hotel at the time of booking mentioned continental breakfast, and never mentioned the remodeling, and lack of breakfast area due this situation, so we received a bag with a banana and water instead of the continental breakfast that the hotel said that they had. If they can take off the description continental breakfast and just put like small breakfast in a bag, then now it will match the services that they offer. I asked at the person at front desk to cancel the rest of the days and they help me with that. The room was clean and big.

Best staff EVER!!! Always so friendly and accommodating. Their kitchen was damaged with a recent hail storm, so there was no breakfast during our stay. But they usually have a great breakfast. This is the only hotel we stay in when we are in south Texas. Rooms: Clean and very roomy. Nearby activities: Location is close to San Juan Basilica and the international Bridge to Mexico.

The hotel didnt let us know ahead of time of the construction and no breakfast. They didnt even offer a discount for the lack of breakfast, since they state that it is not their obligation (but it is part of the things included while you book). They offered a bag of banana, muffin and water. The reason I booked la quinta was due to the breakfast (for my littles). Manager very rudely told me I could cancel and go somewhere else. I did take her suggestion and Im glad I did! I wouldnt give my money to a company that is run by people who dont think customer goes first. Im sorry about your storm damage and I get these things happen but things could have been handled better instead of letting a customer go to another property.

This place is nothing like it used to be before it was Wyndham. They are not friendly. They charged me 20.00 per night for my dog. Being pet friendly without an extra fee was the main reason I have been a loyal la quinta guest for 15+ years. Now I will look at other options. Also, the breakfast was TERRIBLE. The scrambled eggs we so overcooked I couldnt even cut it with a plastic fork. The refried beans were like a bean soup it was so runny. I will not be back to this place. Its sad because it used to be one of my favorite la quintas.

The rooms had a slight odor, the pool area had a stronger odor, the towels had brown stain marks, and the guests couldn t go up to their rooms with their breakfast or they d be fined. Hands down, the very worse hotel experience ever! I love La Quinta concept of breakfast which is why I always choose La Quinta. I ve stayed at numerous La Quintas way past the whole Covid excuses not to serve prepared food and have eaten warm beans, eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, and flour tortillas, but this La Quinta is the worst ever! We came down one hour before breakfast was over. The kitchen area was full of people. We found one table, and it was dirty. Someone had eaten there and hadn t picked up after themselves, but the worst thing is there was no one around to handle it for us. I saw a sign that says that due to Covid, they can t give us warm food, something like it, a lame excuse Dec. 2021, when all the others in the Rio Grande Valley are serving warm food. I tried to get coffee, and there was no coffee. An elderly couple were waiting for coffee and trying to press but nothing was coming out. I tried to then get orange juice, and it was water. The limited area of food was dirty. My family and I tried to get cereal, and there was no milk. We tried to get bagels, and there was no cream cheese. There was no boiled eggs in the refrigerator. There was no brown sugar or raisins for the oatmeal packs and had zero warm oatmeal. There was no slices of bread to toast and no butter. The amount of frustration in all the people could be felt. I knocked on the door of the kitchen that says, employees only . After some serious knocking, a gal comes out, and I tell her there are a lot of thing s missing like milk, coffee, juice, cream cheese, bread, and my table is dirty, etc., and she says, I cant handle the kitchen because I m in the front. She ignores the elderly couple who also asked her for coffee. This falls on management for not manning the areas and allowing so many rooms to get filled without the manpower needed. A line of three families is waiting for her in the front, so she checks the in, and I am sitting down at my dirty table, appalled I brought my family to the worst La Quinta ever. We ve stayed in Mission and Pharr La Quintas, and we love them, so even they are shocked. After waiting a while and seeing no one was coming, and my kids had waited for milk for their cereal, I get up and start recording. As soon as she saw me recording, the same gal, only one manning the front desk and kitchen, comes and says, Excuse me when I m recording the no juice in the juice server. She now wants to start fixing the issues because she saw me recording. I told her, No, wait till I finish recording. My family leaves to their rooms without the ability to eat breakfast. I had served some cereal and must have had the last bit of milk, but it was still dry, so I couldn t enjoy it and threw it away. My kids threw away their dry bagels and dry bowls of cereal they had served because no one showed up to provide cream cheese or milk or coffee. I needed 3/4 milk more, and my kids got no milk. We had no breakfast. They don t have La Quinta breakfast at this place, so I would never return again to this place, and I hope this post helps them to improve in the future for the people who will be coming after me. I had to pay for one night, but after calling Hotels.com to fix it for me, I was able to leave and not have to stay and pay for a second night.

Reservation/management lacked knowledge on policies and bookings. Rooms were mis represented on web No Protein eggs or other. Room was lacking t. Paper, towels, shampoo, and AIR did not work. Prior to check in rney kept us waiting for over 5 hrs with two infants. Rhey wanted to charge us 800. Plus due to their fallacies. Manager never showed himself not even through er contact. Do not book here go with holiday Inn or other. Everything on their web page is misleading only in the south it seems. Every other chain in other geographical sectors adheres to their ads and web description. This local is deceptive just reel u in and get your money. They dont care about customers. Management is in great need to be re assessed.

Had a wonderful experience staying here. Clean rooms and great staff, only issue I had was at check in. I had reserved a room and the person on the phone told me it was pet friendly. Turns out it wasn t, however the manager assisted us in getting the right room with no issue. All in all great experience

The Hotels WiFI did not work, it said that the maximum number of users allowed in the hotel system had already been exceeded. AND THEY DID NOTHING TO FIX IT. Breakfast? Bread, apples, bananas, waffles, some cereal and thats it. The coffee looked like coffee tea, totally watered down. The climate in the room is under the curtains and they keep moving and preventing air from circulating freely.

I booked for an entire week for work/business: -Laundry didn t work 2nd floor -Microwave didn t work -No Iron -Phone didn t work -I requested multiple times for housekeeping, my room was only cleaned/stocked once all week The worst thing about this hotel and leadership was noting was addressed. I can clean up after myself and find a way to heat my food, or buy my own iron. Not addressing any issues tells you everything you want to know about the owners and leadership.

I purchased a 2 night room check in Sat- check out Monday. Tell me which hotel you ve gone weekends and they tell you they don t clean rooms over the weekend if you book more than a night?!! So I must book one night at a time to have a clean room??? Also, front desk lady said if you need more towels you must bring the dirty ones from your room in order to exchanged for clean towels! She also closed the pool 30 min before closing time asked her for a towel again to walk to the room after the pool she said bring your towels from your room again like seriously?!! All of us walking dripping wet all over the the hotel bc she wanted me to bring my room towels to exchange for more towels ?!! I asked her again bc I was in the pool and that she was like oh ok I thought it was for the room smh. >Don t book over one night at a time on a weekend if you want a clean room! Smh Never happened to me before!!! >Make sure you take your dirty towels to front desk so you can get clean towels! Be ready to do your own room service >Get in the pool early bc they close before time and take your towels

If I could give 0 stars I would! I came in and got a room in the morning, for one night. Charged me about $105 then a few hours later I heard a knock at my door, I was told I needed to leave because check out is at 12pm. I was there no more than 6 hours!! Apparently someone messed up and the boy at the front desk was supposed to tell me when I checked in. They wanted to charge me for another night when again I was there for less than 6 HOURS!! So 1 night turned into about $200 because there was nothing else she could do I had two options take their lousy $24 discount or leave. My printed receipt CLEARLY stated my check out was the next day. Someone is doing a horrible job at training their employees! There was no manager present and the poor young woman was being yelled at by many people who were also experiencing the same problem because of someone else s mistake.
