Allen is hands down the best photographer. My first experience with him was with my brother and sister-in-law s wedding in Cabo and he did a phenomenal job! I knew right then and there I needed to have him photograph my wedding pictures! My husband and I are pretty introverted and somewhat awkward in front of the camera. Allen did an amazing job with making us feel comfortable and at ease. He did a great job at instructing us on how to pose and everything just felt so natural! Our pictures came out even better! I m so honored to have Allen capture us on our big day!

Allen was truly the MOST incredible photographer for our special day! I cannot say enough about the phenomenal experience working with Allen as my wedding photographer! Allen was with us for 3 days of events. It might seem odd to have someone following you around for 3 days taking photos of you, but not Allen. He was a calming presence and a welcome addition to our wedding weekend. Everyone who worked with him enjoyed him thoroughly - even my husband who historically has never enjoyed having his picture taken. Allen is thoughtful, detail oriented, and just a pleasure to have around. On top of all that, his photos are STUNNING! Weve only just seen our previews so far and everyone is blown away! The quality is first class and the way he captured the personality and the joy of everyone on our wedding day is truly a talent. He even memorized my shot list requests and made sure in the chaos of the day that each grouping was photographed before the end of the night. Allen being the one-man photographer worked hard throughout the wedding day to ensure we had the most beautiful photos taken. During our initial meeting, he was respectful and thoughtful in answering our inquiries and from there we had a feeling that we would get along with him fine. Allen did an amazing job constantly taking photos of us throughout the evening and knew exactly when we needed photos to be taken. He was very creative with his artistic style and had no trouble taking initiative in leading us and our wedding party for the perfect shots. Aside from his professionalism, he even joined in on the fun with us at the end of the night during open dance floor time. Allen is such a fun and friendly person! We were more than grateful that Allen was willing to work with our new wedding date due to us having to reschedule. We would love to hire Allen again in the future for his talents and highly recommend him to anyone who is interested in looking for a fine arts photographer.

Allen Tsai is the best wedding photographer there ever was, hands down. He captured our wedding weekend absolutely perfectly and was easy and fun to work with every step of the way. His talent is second to none and our photos are breathtaking. We could not have been any happier with him or the priceless memories he has given us. He even worked with us to help gift a photography session to our dear friends for their wedding present. Two people who aren t really picture-taking people + their dog and he was able to capture the most beautiful moments that are so them. He has such a talent for not only producing a beautiful shot, but capturing personalities and photos with such a natural feel - regardless of who is photographing. This is a long overdue review, but I truly can t say enough wonderful things about Allen Not only does he have such an incredible eye for detail with the ability to capture special moments in such an elegant and etherial way, but he is so easy to work with and made my husband and I (neither of whom like to be photographed) feel so comfortable from the moment we met him for our engagement photos. Our wedding had so many details, all of which he captured perfectly with the dreamiest and airy feel. Our pictures are STUNNING! We would choose him time and time again and couldn t imagine anyone else capturing our wedding weekend any more perfectly! He was worth every penny; extremely professional, quick to reply, so kind and personable, made us feel comfortable, and was discreet during all of our special moments that we wanted captured. Allen was our photographer for our engagement session and for our wedding. He is an absolute dream to work with! From the very start, Allen was so kind and flexible to meet our needs, especially as they changed throughout the planning process. All of our other vendors were absolutely thrilled we had Allen because he is so amazing to work with. Allen is the best. When we were searching for a wedding photographer to document the most important day of our life we stumbled upon Allen since he was ranked #1 on a lot of lists for DFW wedding photographers. Although his prices were a bit higher than our original budget, we decided to meet him to learn more about him. Our first impressions were that Allen was very professional and clearly a master of his arts. We had interviewed multiple other photographers, but Allen was clearly a cut above the rest. He impressed us so much that we decided to go ahead with him despite going over our initially planned budget. This would later turn out to be one of the best decisions we made in the entire wedding. Allen is different than a lot of photographers in that he uses film in conjunction with his digital camera. Film has that unique feel to it thats hard to describe with words, but just looks so magical. Allens secret power is that hes able to tell stories through his photos. My wife and I have never done a professional shoot before, but Allen made the experience very comfortable by directing us on what we need to do. For the engagement shoot we got rained our like 3 times in a row and Allen was patient each time since he wanted us to have the best photos possible. We also had to post-pone our wedding one time due to COVID and Allen was understanding and allowed us to move the date without additional charges. On the day of the wedding, Allen scouted the entire venue looking for places where we could take photos. He was there to capture every special moment and we thank him for that. At one point, we discovered that my wifes fathers shoe ended up breaking and Allen even offered to let him borrow his shoes! Thankfully it didnt come down to that. Overall I highly recommend Allen. At the end of the day, the only things you can look back on on your wedding day are the photos/videos. The photos that Allen took, well cherish for the rest of our lives.

Allen did our wedding in June 2019. He was professional and prompt. We struggled to get my bridals done before the wedding due to rain and once we finally were able to do them he had them done in a short time to displace at the wedding. He did a great job of capturing the day even though it was jam packed. We also had to fight off a little rain but all of my photos came out amazing. I would recommend him to anyone I know!!

Infinite praises for Allen! He was the photographer for our wedding this past October and we could not have been more pleased. Not only are his images absolutely beautiful, but he is such a rock star on event day. He went above and beyond to capture each and every moment perfectly Which even included darting across the entire garden to recollect my brother-in-law who had wondered off. He will go to any length to ensure your wedding day photos are flawless, including tediously fixing my train every 5 minutes.. (Bless him!) Also, he uses a film camera primarily which brings a classic yet artistic look to all of your images. I proudly have several displayed around my home and our friends and family comment on our wonderful they are constantly. What can I say, he is truly amazing and you will not be disappointed! Tip: Book him right away because his dates fill up fast!

My first experience with Allen Tsai was when he photographed my sisters wedding. My sister herself, is a photographer. The second time I heard his name was at my best friends wedding. HER photographer had also used Allen Tsai for her wedding. I decided to take some time and followed Allens presence on social media and the internet. Turns out hes VERY decorated and has been featured a lot in publications. His clients are worldwide, and all the photographers I respect want HIM for the THEIR weddings. If hes the professional that all the other professionals use, I knew I was never going to entertain any other photographer. The second I got engaged, I told my wedding planner we had to secure Allen. And thats what we did. THANK GOD because it takes a special photographer to handle everything an everyone that was, My Wedding. I got married in Downtown Dallas and my wedding had very city vibes. I didnt want to have every conventional wedding party shot, and so I had tasked Allen with the burden of making my wedding photos look like something off the cover of Vanity Fair. Not typically his route for weddings, and also confined to a VERY tight timeline, somehow, Allen was able to execute my vision. More than that, every shot from the reception is PERFECT. The lighting was consistent in every shot (and let me tell you, the lights from the stage and darkness of the room was all over the place that night). He captured beautiful portraits, but also grabbed very intimate moments between myself and my husband, our friends, and our family - shots that we didnt know anyone was watching. The photos were edited and turned in record time (amazing considering he shoots digitally AND in film) and the gallery of proofs was enormous. This was so important because Ive heard HORROR stories from friends whose galleries were pitifully small since the photographer didnt have very good content to return. The gallery is easy to use navigate and he even offers printing services (huge if your local pharmacy does a bad job with prints). Here is my biggest jaw-drop of the experience: Allen worked alone. My wedding had around 225 guests and you would have thought (based on the photos) that he had at least two assistants. Finally, Allen is also just awesome to work with. Hes kind and dedicated to his craft, and he is so respectful and polite. He rocked my wedding and Im so glad we hired him.

This review is long overdue, Allen was the best vendor I hired for our wedding. Our wedding was in Chicago and the engagement photos we took were in NYC. It was definitely on the pricier side but I felt it was important for me to have my wedding documented in the perfect way. Allen is super easy to work with, his replies are prompt and insightful. He was on time/early to everything and has a really great attitude. He s also very good with getting kids to look at the camera. His deliverables are in his guaranteed time frame and our final wedding photos were also easily organized into categories for viewing. At first I was a bit hesitant to hire someone not familiar with my venue or the area I wanted to take photos in but this wasn t an issue at all. Allen took time to check out the spots we were interested in taking photos at in Chicago (and he s already quite knowledgeable about New York). He also has a great way with capturing light in his photos. Overall, we were super happy with our decision to choose Allen! Allen is hands down one of the best photographers in Dallas! Having worked at an event space in Dallas for 4.5 years, I have seen many photographers work and none compare to the way he meticulously captures every special moment beautifully. He has photographed my head shots in the past and our Dallas event venue several times. It was absolutely a no-brainer to ask him to shoot my engagement photos and my wedding. Nothing has been short of fabulous! He has the most unique and beautiful style for any occasion! When I got engaged in 2018 I knew the first vendor I absolutely needed to book was Allen Tsai, I couldnt imagine planning a wedding without him being part of the team. Allen has an amazing ability to capture the details and beauty of your wedding in such a way that when you look back at the photos you feel like you a reliving it. He is able to capture everyones emotions so perfectly through his candid photos. We had decided to forgo having a videographer at our wedding, and I am so glad we did because Allens photos truly show the emotion, joy, and happiness we experienced. Allens photos have a romantic lightness to them that makes you feel like you are living in a fairy tale. As someone who hates getting their photo taken, I have never felt more beautiful. Allen has a knack for making you feel at ease and he makes the photography experience fun. My husband and I were nervous going into our engagement session but Allen did a wonderful job coaching us through the photos. I was super stressed out trying to plan my wedding in 3 months. At the time, I found Allen on google. I went through his portfolio and I fell in love with his work. His pictures are very natural and airy. I decided to contact him and asked for pricing. Yes, I know that his pricing is on the high end so I was a little hesitant about Allen. However, after talking to other friends who got married before me, they all told me that pictures are the only things you have left to look back after your big day and they would rather spend more money on a good photographer if they could. I then contacted my wedding coordinator and asked her if she has worked with Allen before. She told me that Allen is one of the best photographer in Dallas and if hes even available on my wedding day, I should really book him. My wedding coordinator vouched for him so I feel a lot better and I went ahead and booked Allen. And let me tell you, its probably one of the best decisions Ive ever made. Allen is such an incredible photographer. Word can even describe how happy we are that Allen was a part of our big day. My husband and I are very awkward people. We get very uncomfortable in photos and he made us feel super relaxed while making sure the photos turned out natural and candid. Our photos werent posed. He knew all about the right angles and gave us directions so that pictures turned out so stunning. He knows how to capture all the precious moments. Our day went by so fast and having him capture those moments makes us realize how beautiful our wedding was. Our wedding has many different ceremonies. We have our Vietnamese tea ceremony, a Chinese tea Ceremony and an American ceremony then the reception. Allen was there for all of it and prioritized capturing every single moment. He didnt have time to eat at the reception because we had so many things going on. One of the best thing that I like about him is that he had experience with videography. He works closely with my videographer and he knows when to step in and out to make sure our photos and video turn out stunning. Allen is also very detail oriented. On our big day, Allen took his time, fixing everyones attire to make sure they look good in every single frame. My father in law, who is very impatient, complained how Allen made him button his vest. But once he got the pictures from Allen, my father in law was blown away and couldnt be happier. My father in law finally understood why Allen is so detail oriented in every single frame he takes. We are so happy with our wedding photos, we booked him for our maternity session as well. It was truly a pleasure to work with Allen. Dont hesitate to hire Allen. We will treasure these photos forever.

We were introduced to Allen at a friend s wedding a couple years ago. As well as being one of the nicest, friendliest, and enthusiastic photographers we have ever met, it was clear his work was beyond amazing and so far ahead of any other wedding shoot we had ever seen. Allen captures beautiful, honest, and timeless images, each image feels carefully crafted, as if painted by hand. He is driven to create the best, his craftsmanship and attention to detail is like no other. Words cannot fully express how talented Allen Tsai is. My husband and I are not used to being professionally photographed, so we chose Allen based on his stellar reviews. He did not disappoint! My best advice would be to trust him and his skills as a photographer implicitly. 1. He gives plenty of direction in terms of body placement, posture, hand placement, etc. to give you flawless photos. If you are new to being photographed like me, you ll find this kind of direction extremely helpful and comforting. 2. At the same time, he creates a very calm, light, and fun atmosphere that creates true, genuine moments between you and your significant other. We are two people that usually feel very uncomfortable in front of a camera, however we had such an enjoyable experience with Allen. 3. I really encourage anyone using Allen s services to listen to his recommendations. For example, our original scheduled date was cloudy and overcast. He recommended that we wait for sun if we truly wanted to be happy with our photos. We are so grateful to have listened to him, because the results were wonderful (see attached). There are other photographers that will say that cloudy weather is actually better, however with Allen s technique and skill set, he can do incredible things with the light. We will continuously use Allen s services in the future; we have found our favorite photographer! I couldn t imagine working with anyone else.

We are fortunate to have worked with Allen enough times to confidently recommend him as a fine art photographer (and a travel companion!). Our sessions span the entire globe; from our wedding in beautiful Los Cabos, Mexico to the breathtaking Sahara Desert in Northern Africa! We first met Allen when searching for a wedding photographer. We did not limit our search to just the Dallas/Ft. Worth area but was delighted to discover that he was in fact local. There was a certain essence and characteristic about Allen s work that kept us returning to his website and social media accounts. Before we knew it, Allen s portfolio ultimately became what we referenced other portfolios to which is what prompted us to book him. And we can confidently say his portfolio reflects his true work. Our photos were nothing short of the quality he exemplifies on social media. If you see what you like, you ll get what you see. Technical skills: In the business of fine art photography, we believe it is important to state that Allen is FILM PHOTOGRAPHER before he is a digital photographer. The reason we emphasize this is because we have used other film photographers who rely heavily on results from their digital camera and thus delivering an album high in digital shots. The albums we receive from Allen taught us to truly appreciate film photography. Allen s work has an essence of airiness. He is a master in working with light and shots are always in focus. He produces reliable and consistent results with a predictable high success rate (difficult for film photography). Other film photographers shoot a high number of shots with low yield results. Allen s style is tasteful and he pays great attention to detail. Allen also has a great relationship with the lab he uses to develop the pictures which is often overlooked. It seems like the lab has a deep understanding of Allen s aesthetics which translates well in his final product. As a wedding photographer: Allen s work ethics and level of care was much appreciated during the stressful process of planning a wedding. Allen s impressive portfolio is proof that he works well with other wedding vendors. In fact, some of the vendors from our wedding has reached out to him in hopes to collaborate. We were confident in Allen s skills and level of work after he shot our engagement photos as part of the wedding package we booked. Not having to constantly worry about one of the most important parts of our wedding is priceless. Allen is professional, always on time, and makes sure we get caught up if we run behind on schedule. He was able to overcome unexpected obstacles and dealt with incorporative family members. Allen effectively communicated our vision to the other vendors. He is an excellent listener and fulfills all of our wants and needs. As a destination/travel photographer: Allen is well traveled and has proven to be a reliable travel companion. Traveling together to Morocco for the first time was an unforgettable experience. Allen was able to utilize his ability to quickly adapt to changes in lighting. We shared a photo session at sunrise with two other couples and from the beginning to end, Allen was consistent with the quality he delivered. Allen is great in new and unfamiliar places and works very hard to get the perfect shot. This is not limited to enduring a 24 hour bus trip, riding on the back of a camel, and running up and down the sand dunes in the Sahara while keeping the shot in focus. During the times Allen wasn t behind a camera, he exhibited cultural competence. As a local (Dallas) photographer: Very familiar with all the top Dallas locations and perfect lighting depending on location. People know him and are willing to take you more seriously if they know you are working with him. We re guilty in using his name to receive better service and grant exceptions. Ultimately, all we need to say is we cannot book any other photographer. Much like his portfolio, the experience of having Allen as our photographer is now our gold standard to which we hold other photographers to.

Allen photographed our wedding in the Texas Hill Country in 2016. Though not an exotic location by any means, he gave us the Italian countryside feel we were hoping for! Seriously, stop searching for a photographer and work with Allen! Firstly, he did an amazing job shooting our engagement photos in Dallas. My husband and I were so impressed with his attention to detail and loved the romantic, ethereal style of his photos. We had a destination wedding in Carmel, CA, and initially looked at the wedding planners list of local photographers. BUT we still liked Allens work best, and knew how good he was at directing behind the scenes, so we ended up hiring him for the wedding and rehearsal dinner! I couldnt be happier with our wedding and rehearsal dinner pictures! Its really hard to capture the emotions of a wedding, but he truly has a knack for capturing subtle, beautiful moments that I will never forget! Last but not least, all of the wedding party and family were SO impressed with the level of instruction he gave behind the scenes and how beautiful the photos came out. Allen is truly an artist! He shot our engagement photos, my bridals, and then our wedding. I have always had a hard time liking pictures of myself, but Allen was able to work his magic and I absolutely love the photos he took of my husband and me! He walked us through all the different poses and gives really great guidance as far as what to do in front of the camera, so there was no stress at all during the shoot. Hes also so patient and nice and makes you feel very comfortable. In addition to making the photo sessions easy and enjoyable, his final product is absolutely beautiful! I get so many compliments from people on our engagement & wedding pictures. He was able to capture my husband & I in a way that was authentic, not cheesy. He used film for the engagement & bridal sessions and for the portraits on the wedding day. The film really gives his final product a beautiful, airy quality to it. Allen was such a pleasure to work with! We are extremely impressed with his professionalism and his eye for creating artistic photos. He was very patient and very clear about his posing styles and he made my husband and I feel amazing in front of the camera - and I dont think thats easy to do! He had to deal with a lot of weather changes on our wedding day and he never faltered. He was willing and open to nabbing shots and patiently waited for good opportunities to take photos. We really appreciate him even being creative at the very end after an 8 hour wedding day - he was still going strong. We used Allen for both our engagement and wedding day photos. He was absolutely wonderful to work with! He pays such close attention to detail and truly cares about his work. He uses film, which I LOVE! But he also gives you the digital option for most of his photos! On our wedding day, Allen was such a trooper working in the 100+ degree Texas summer heat! He didnt seem phased at all and helped make such a whirlwind of a day go by smoothly! Most everyone feels awkward/uncomfortable in front of the camera, but his friendly and gentle demeanor puts everyone at ease and makes you feel like a total rockstar! Allen did an absolutely wonderful job with our photos. My wife Mary and I both loved the photos and theyre something we will cherish forever! I admittedly am not the most artistic/aesthetic guy, but the thing I most loved about Allen: his passion and attention to detail for his craft. Allen flew with us to Europe to photograph our engagement photo shoot, and he has two children (toddlers). Thats not easy for any parent, and we are so appreciative that he could take the time out to shoot with us. Those who have children know this take enormous sacrifice and commitment. To say that Allen is a true artist when it comes to photography almost seems like an understatement. My husband was actually the one who found Allen when he had come across his work on Instagram and we were both instantly in love with his light and airy style. For us, our wedding photos were one of our top priorities, as they are something we are going to treasure all our life. So we wanted to be sure whoever our photographer was not only fit our style, but also put just as much importance on our big day as we did, and Allen did all of that and more. I cannot brag enough about him, and yet his work speaks for itself. He has an innate ability to make his client s feel so incredibly special, as well as get to know them on a personal level. No matter the questions, ideas or thoughts that we threw his way, he continually provided us such undivided attention. Not to mention his ability to give direction. When it came time for our engagement shoot, my husband and I were both very nervous, as aside from the typical iPhone photo, we certainly were not seasoned pros in front of the camera. Allen is a rockstar. He was the very first vendor that we booked for our wedding - before the venue or anything - because we were absolutely sure that we wanted to work with him. First he shot our engagement photos, then my bridal portraits, and finally the wedding. Each shoot turned out better and better. He was able to help coach us through posing while simultaneously making us feel comfortable and not at all robotic. When we finally got our wedding photos back, we were honestly speechless; they were beyond anything we could have expected. His work is beautiful and he is so easily able to capture the sweetest moments and the fun moments. And hes such a great person too, which made working with him that much better. Not only did Allen photograph my wedding, but he was the photographer for my best friends wedding as well in which I was the maid of honor. Allens photos speak for themselves - he shoots film (but also digital, mostly indoors and evening) which means the photos have such a dreamy, romantic quality to them that simply cant be replicated with Photoshop. His Instagram page and website say it all. What really impressed me, though, was his attitude and professionalism. A few examples: because hes fluent in Mandarin, he was able to easily and clearly communicate with family members and give gentle direction. He gladly fielded all our guests requests to take group photos on their cell phones with a smile. And maybe most importantly, both at our wedding and engagement, his authentic enthusiasm made us feel really comfortable in front of the camera, and even my camera-shy husband was hamming it up by the end of the day. What I loved about Allen is that he has a point of view and will openly but respectfully express his opinion to make sure you get the best shot. He worked with our planner to seamlessly make some minor last minute lighting and location changes, which really paid off in terms of the photo quality. I am so happy that we worked together.

Allen was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding, only second to saying yes to my fiancé :D I met Allen years ago and I knew I would be hiring him for my wedding. I may not have known who Id be marrying back then but I knew Id want no one else to be my photographer. When you begin wedding planning and going to all the popular resources there is no doubt you will come across Allen. You will see his beautiful photographs, features on the major wedding publications and praise from his beloved fans aka newlyweds who made the right decision to have him capture their big day. Allen was very punctual to our ceremony and reception. He is so personable and made all my loved ones feel super comfortable. He also speaks Mandarin which is especially lovely because I have many older family members that prefer Mandarin. My father who smiles constantly in real life will rarely crack a smile for a picture, which I dont understand at all! Weve done so many family portrait sessions and not a single smile is to be seen by my father. But Allen got him smiling for every single picture! What a miracle to be able to look back at these pictures and not have people think my father was unhappy about my wedding haha. Allen went above and beyond what I expected even after the wedding. On Christmas we got the best gift ever when I received a message from Allen telling me to check my email when I had the time. And to our excitement Allen had completed our pictures and were ready for us to view! Words cannot express how considerate that was. He took time from the holidays which I never would have asked for him and got us our pictures. My family got to sit around after dinner and view the pictures, what a fantastic thing! He is not only an outstanding photographer but he is clearly an all around great human being. Hes so much fun to be around and the pictures were even better than I could imagine. Allen is the best you can get! He is incredibly talented and puts his all into your engagement shoot and wedding day. Our friends rave about our engagement and wedding photos! Aside from that, he is down to earth and truly cares about his couples. You can trust that he will always be honest with you. We have grown to see him as more than just our photographer, but a friend. We were happy to share our day with him. When we received our final package from Allen we were extremely impressed-not to say we expected any less from him! Allen does such a great job of capturing the moment, we feel like we are reliving it all when we look at them. The day can be so chaotic and such a blur...you sometimes dont realize just how beautiful the moment is. His work will surprise you and remind you of all the perfect, little moments from your big day. He sent a link with the proofs before getting our package with the print and electronic copy on a USB. He is extremely organized and has all of the photos in separate categories - such as Wedding Party, Cake Cutting, etc. I found this to be very helpful when looking for a particular photo and our guests enjoyed it too because they could more easily find themselves. When our package arrived with the prints and USB, it came in a beautiful heirloom box! I was actually looking for something like this to store my treasured items from our big day. Its perfect! All in all, I have to say, Allen was one of the best decisions we made!

Allen was by far one of the best vendors we choose for our wedding day. I can t emphasize how much of a talented, friendly, and hardworking photographer he is. I know this review will be long, but I cannot say enough good about Allen. I was very overwhelmed when I began looking for photographers to capture our wedding day. I was abroad at the time, so it became difficult to communicate with vendors back home. However, Allen instantly responded to my emails and provided me with so much relevant information that I just had a great feeling he was perfect for us. I had the wonderful opportunity to model in a shoot with Allen while I was in Italy and I am so glad he allowed me to do so. Not only is he so fun to work with, but I noticed how much more comfortable I was in front of the camera when he photographed my bridal session and when my fiancé and I did our engagements when I returned home. On the same note, I highly recommend having at least some sort of pictures taken with Allen and your fiancé because I think our wedding pictures turned out so much better because of the level of trust and comfort we had with Allen. Now on to the wedding day- the best part! Allen is such a calming person to have on your wedding day amidst all the chaos that occurs. He wasn t frantically running around taking pictures, but somehow he managed to capture everything. Allen Tsai Photography- Review from J&J Cabo San Lucas Beach Wedding After getting engaged, I attended a Wedding Vendor Event that Preston Wood Country Club was hosting. It was there that I was introduced to Allen! After attending the event, I decided that I wanted to take my time to just enjoy being engaged before I really focused on wedding planning. I had lost my mother a little over two years prior, and just had started a new job that required a lot of traveling and getting myself together was my first priority. During that time, Allen remained in touch, checking in, offering advice and recommendations for wedding planning Six months later I had finally made progress and selected a place and date for our wedding, Friday, October 30th, 2015 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico at the Fiesta Americana Grand Los Cabos Resort & Spa. My decision to hire Allen as our photographer stemmed from the talent, passion, loyalty, enthusiasm, dedication, high level of experience, and outgoing personality. Allen has been in the industry long enough now to know how other vendors work, venues, and utilize different techniques to capture special moments. I was like a chicken with my head cut off while planning this wedding and I need to give some major credit to Allen. Planning a destination wedding, starting a new job, and dealing with the daily struggles of life had me a mess, and as a result, I would often forget to book appointments (like hair/makeup before shoot). Allen would ask questions and then I would always seem to somehow des the last minute to book an appointment for something that you should book in weeks to months in advance. The only reason I survived the wedding process successfully was because of Allen. He referred me to one of his connections which I was in major emergency need of, and they helped him out by helping me. Thank you Allen! Allen possesses a skill set which cannot just be taught or learned the eye to capture moments and was able to demonstrate our story, mood, tone. Lots of people can take pictures, but few are able to evoke the moment with the right attention to detail at the right fraction of a second. Allen is also very flexible with different styles and environments and is willing to try anything out. For example, my husband and I wanted to include our 3 big dogs in our engagement pictures since they were such a huge part of our lives and our wedding was destination, so it really was only time to include them in on something. It was a little chaotic. We took our engagements at Harbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano and our blind dog was running into bushes, while the other two went in other directions. So I am sure you can imagine the amount of patience and effort it took on poor Allen s part. The pictures turned out awesome and we feel so lucky to have been able to capture and share a special moment with our fur babies. The other photography services I used was Bridal Portraits, Boudoir (to give as gift to the hubby), our rehearsal dinner in San Jose, Mexico that included everyone who had come to Mexico for the wedding (almost 100 people), the wedding ceremony and reception, and last but not least The Day After Wedding . Something that truly touched me was the day after the wedding, my family decided to get together on the beach during sunset and spread some of my mother s ashes in the ocean. Allen gladly offered to take some pictures of us during that special moment and I am truly so grateful! Each time I look over our the pictures from Allen, I notice new details, moments, and beauty I hadn t before. I was an overwhelmed bride just trying to get through the day, that I never really got to see how beautiful my wedding was. The pictures have confirmed all the stress, tears, worry was nothing to me anymore because the wedding was so worth it! I knew I was getting a photographer when I hired Allen, but what I didn t know was I was also making a new talented friend that I will be hiring for the next time I am in need of a photographer! Allen is a great photographer, this is the obvious. He has a vision like no other photographers to make your pictures look awesome! When searching for a photographer, I sought out Allen only bc he spoke Chinese and I thought it would easier for my family to understand him. When my husband and I met him, though, we knew he was the one for us and waited no further to sign the contract. We took him to Seattle for our engagement pictures and he was so great doing pictures there for us, fighting through the heavy fog and rain. Allen was so kind to accommodate our tea ceremony pictures last minute bc my would-be photog flaked out and Im so glad it happened that way bc our pictures are so phenomenal. It takes a little while for pictures to come back to you, but its still within the time it says in the contract and its worth it. Book him while he still has dates, they go quick!!

Allen was a great photographer for us. It was tough scheduling times to do our engagement photos what with the bizarre weather at the time and the availability we had, but he was very flexible and made the extra effort in making the most out of our photo spots as well as the fleeting daylight. The balloon fiasco was the most frustrating shot to prepare for but it was one of the ones that we came to really love. Hes very engaging and receptive to the environment and especially his clients as he wants to get the best angle that he can while still making it as intimate as possible. Our wedding day was indeed a very long and hectic day with so many surprises (some good and some bad) but he went with the flow and manage to capture our tea ceremony at BOTH houses, the bridal shoot in the TEXAS HEAT, and our 300+ guests dinner reception wonderfully. Our album came out beautifully and he kept up with us every step of the way from start to finish. More so than we did! But that shows how much he cares about his clients through it all become good friends.

I cant say enough about how amazing Allen is! We were referred to him by one of my bridesmaids, so we knew how great his work was, but getting to do the engagement session and wedding with him was such a wonderful experience :) We did our engagement pictures in Chicago during January and Allen was such a trooper about doing our outside photos in below freezing temperatures! They were beautiful pictures with the Chicago skyline, the Bean, in Union Station and some in our apartment. The city is a big part of our relationship and Allen captured it perfectly. He knew exactly how to make the most of each setting, the lighting, and how to position us to compose some incredible pictures. He used a combination of film and digital, so we loved having both options. It was the first time my husband and I had ever done a photo session, and Allens warm personality and friendliness made it a very comfortable and enjoyable experience! Allen is incredibly professional as well. Our wedding was at St. Patrick Cathedral in Fort Worth and the reception was at the Ashton Depot. Our wedding day was full of surprises including a rain storm, some last minute changes in portrait location, and an unplanned picture request for my entire extended family (about 100 people)! Allen was so flexible, handling everything with ease, cool professionalism, and a smile. We also went with a second photographer for the ceremony and to take pictures of the venue prior to the reception. This was a great recommendation by Allen and one I would highly encourage others to do. We were so happy to get photos of the entire church as well as close ups of our wedding party and everyone involved during the ceremony. Allen was very timely about getting the pictures to us and even prioritized a few earlier so that we could frame some as thank you presents for our families. Allen had photographed my friends engagement pictures, and I absolutely loved them. And funnily enough we had met each other when we were both in graduate school eons ago - who knew Allen had a PhD! He was knowledgable, easy going and very responsive from the start. Allen had fantastic suggestions for engagement photos that we would never thing about. He was very flexible as well - I had to reschedule the session due to work and was very easy to work with. We did our engagement photos when it was 100 degrees outside in August, he didnt miss a beat and we had fabulous pictures despite being hot and sweaty. Allen Tsai shot our engagement photos and wedding day photos about 3 months ago. From the moment we met Allen (we interviewed 3 photographers), we knew we would feel comfortable having him take our photos. Photography is one of my hobbies and one of the most important things for me was that my bride and I would feel comfortable with our photographer, so that the photos would not look posed or awkward. Allen has great attention to detail (down to making sure there were no random bulges in your pockets...no, not that bulge... Im talking about keys, cell phones, and etc. that may make photos look funny) Allen has an eye for creativity, and captured everything perfectly! Everything was happening so fast during the wedding day, but thankfully Allen captured so many great moments. Also, we had an outdoor wedding in September and it was a very hot day. We were worried we would all look very sweaty and hot in our photos, but everything turned out perfect! We didnt have a wedding planner and Allen helped us out along the way with his years of experience and pointed us to vendors as we need them as well! As we went through our wedding photos, it was like were reliving our wedding day again!
