Second visit to Galveston, second time it got rained out, second time I ended up at an Irish Pub. Funny thing though, it happened to be the same Irish Pub and my birthday. The staff and other patrons were awesome, we had a great night - lubrication proudly presented by Mr Jameson and Mr Guinness. Jukebox, food, pool and other games all available, will definitely head back should I be back in Galveston

A true pub with a great bartender and respectable selection. We were in town for training and NEEDED a beer. The place just feels like a proper hole to drink in. The bartender talked about all things pop culture and half the bar joined in our conversation. Ill be back when Im in Galveston.

The service is awful and the bartenders always seem to despise business. They take 15 minutes to even look in your direction. They are so slow at making drinks it s as if they are annoyed they have customers. On the other hand pizza is pretty good, drink selection is nice, and they have fun bar games.

No Montucky cold snacks and no darts-dartboard but no darts-plenty of cigarette smoke-reminded me of the 90s-staff was awesome- I heard the food was good? It was probably an off day but like many Galveston haunts when I left I felt like it could be better- that being said like most of Galveston its what you make of it..now go and enjoy! -bartenders super cool-ask 4 pickle shot- -somehow found myself here again-it was really cold-popped in to warm up b4 our final destination-Ran into Cindy and The Ladies out celebrating 1 of the gals 70th bday! Its no longer Murphys pub. It is now Doc Hollidays. Food was good, service and atmosphere were also good. Something I liked about the place, the play Tombstone on a TV all the time. Would definitely recommend this place and will go back when in the area.

Loved coming here. Never been a club goer and it was crazzzyyy in town. It was nice an chill the entire night. The bartenders were great. Overall just really good vibes. I dont really get why its split in two, but both sides are nice! Bathrooms were simple but clean. They had darts, pool, shuffle board? And a pinball machine that took my dollar. Dont use that. Music machine with ability to credit it and pick songs. Games were on TV.

We went just after ooen with the family. Staff was very nice and helpful. Gave us tips on sights to see. Great shuffle board table and a fun pinball machine. Delicious soft pretzels and pizza. Perfect pour on a proper pint of Guinness. Will visit again on or next vacation

I remember back in the day the white pizza being delicious.. today i was slightly disappointed. Undercooked. And a little cold (but i was like 5 min late for quoted time). The soft pretzel was not soft at all. In fact like a normal sour dough pretzel impossible to eat. Disappointed..

Its been quite some time since my wife and I have been in a bar together, so we checked out a few places before we settled into Murphys Irish Pub. Lillian, the bartender, was such a charming character! My wife and I loved conversing with her! We ordered pretzels and a white pizza that my wife raved about. We essentially asked her to surprise us whenever we asked for drinks. With the plethora of bottles at her disposal, she certainly did deliver! Between Lillian, some of the locals and a couple of excellent gents from Germany (the pilot & the electrician) it was a great atmosphere that made for a memorable night!

I am 26 and had three beers throughout the night and we came to this bar before I said anything the bartender decided that he didn t like me. I asked for a beer and was told that I was too drunk but could have a shot. I then went to the other bar and was served but because the bartender on the other side didn t like me my entire group of 12 was kicked out.

Went a couple of days before St Patrick s Day with my family and were told to come back for all of the festivities including pipers and dancers! We arrived on St Patty s Day and were . Kicked out! Yep, they decided to go to smoking that day and therefore, no kids allowed. We were asked to leave. For any true Irish, this is NOT a public house. A true Irish pub is where families are welcome, especially on St Patrick s Day. A travesty indeed and a sadness and gloom shall ever haunt this establishment for it is a cold heart that closes its doors to children.

Place was clean and busy with a nice overall atmosphere. Bartenders were welcoming and friendly. Drinks were very strong and a little pricey. There is a huge selection of Irish whiskey +++. Only complaint was the bartender (male) spent 20+ minutes flirting with the local college girls before he came to see us who were sitting in the bar stools next to them. After he served us he made the excuse that he assumed we were with them even though we made multiple attempts to order and he did not acknowledge us. Otherwise I would return. Side note the PIZZA is the best thing there !!!
