Their street tacos are really really good. I have never been inside this location, just use the drive through. Their asada fries are also a huge favorite of my husband and me. I like consistency and this place is always consistent!

Tried to call order in someone picked up the phone no hello or hold please. Never came back to phone so I drove up there. Girl at window didnt really seem to care when I told her I tried to call in my big order. Food was great like always but service is always lacking.

The Good I tried their shrimp cocktail, and it was delicious. I had the large portion, and it came with plenty of shrimp, full of flavor and ingredients. I have zero complaints about their food. The people at Armandos are friendly and attentive. The Bad I have tried their street tacos before, and those are fine. This review is only about their shrimp cocktail (Coctel de Camaron). The Ugly The place is falling apart, and it looks terrible from the outside. Then you enter the little shack and realize it looks the same inside.

Best authentic Mexican food around Abilene in my opinion. Their street tacos are on point however, today I tried the wet burrito today which was fantastic. It was a bit warm in the restaurant and they had a mobile ac unit in place, thats the only reason for the 3 stars for atmosphere. Highly recommend!

If you are looking for delicious Mexican food, this is it! There are a variety of menu options. I had some delicious fish tacos, rice and beans. It reminded me of the traditional fish tacos I had in Mexico. Chips and salsa are self-serve. The food is authentic. We really enjoyed it! Kid-friendliness: There were high chairs for kids.

This place was a surprise. First, I didnt know it existed, second, the food was good. The restaurant is very small, you order at the counter from a board on the wall. Chips, salsa and garnishes are self-serve from a setup in the dining room. Restrooms are outside. I think the building started life as a gas station. The atmosphere is mostly mamas kitchen, warm and cozy, and did I mention the food is good?

The food is not consistent at the one on treadaway. There were days the food was good, some days had to much salt, and days they would get the order wrong. I ordered a child verde plate and they gave me meat with caldo. My coworker had picked up food so when I called back to tell them I didn t get what I ordered. The owner got on the phone stating they didn t sale a Chile verde plate(obviously not). Wanted me to take the plate back. I explained that I was at work. The owner basically said to bring the plate back or I can deal with it. Then hung up. What kind of service is this owner running?

I would give 0 stars if possible. I ordered 2 street tacos that was advertised as .99 and 1 asada burrito. I proceeded to pay and the price was cheaper than I expected so I asked her to repeat the order (this was after I already paid) she tells me 2 street tacos.. I tell her I ordered the burrito as well and why was it $5.49 for 2 tacos that are .99 ea, she says the price went up. So she charged us the 5.49 and redid the order but instead of just charging us for the burrito she yet again puts the overpriced tacos on the order again. Just ignorant, and they handed me my food with an attitude as if I were in the wrong. Stop hiring your children if they cant do the job correctly.

My boyfriend and I are from the northeast and we are traveling cross country. We decided that one thing we really wanted to do when we hit Texas is to get some really good tacos. We were looking for a little taqueria in a small town that has amazing mexican food.. and we found that place. Not only was Amandos #2 the best food Ive experienced yet on my cross country travels but you seriously cant beat the price. $2.50 for a carne asada taco? $6 for a burrito jam packed with carnitas? With the price of food these days, yes, please. Totally recommend.

BEST street tacos in Abilene! Their barbacoa tacos are amazing and really well priced! Plus if you eat in you get complimentary chips and salsa! Honestly everything on their menu that I have tried so far has been really good. Pretty a authentic Mexican food. (I grew up there) The staff is very friendly as well!
