I wish we couldve tasted the food but we were sat between two tables where we could not even get into our seats. We waited for a couple of minutes before we decided we could not comfortably enjoy our lunch and left. Diners looked uncomfortable as they had to scoot in or out to allow other people to sit. It would be very difficult for a wheel chair to maneuver in this facility.

If you want a burger in Abilene, you don t want to miss this! They close early so make sure to stop by for lunch! They offer homemade fat beef patties and hand cut fries. The veggies are fresh and the pickles are sliced longways and so crispy! In addition to great taste, the ambiance shows great taste too! Sweet tea is served in a wide mouth mason jar, waitresses wear denim shirts and have hair tied back with bandanas reminiscent of Rosie the Riveter. The walls are covered in flags, nostalgic signs, motorcycle pics and cowboys. Definitely a hard working American vibe! Fun place, with excellent service and reasonable prices! Oh and don t forget the homemade ice team to top it off!

I like Lucys. The food is decent quality and the servers try hard to keep things hopping. I think most of what they serve is homemade. I love the food, but I cant get near the place all week. I only pick food up to go now, and its frustrating with the pay over the phone for orders over $20 but it still wont be ready when you get here process, which brings me to the photo. I usually order chicken and poppers because the burgers are pretty bland. This is the SINGLE ranch cup I was allotted and asked to PAY for if I wanted more with my poppers.. There are a dozen or more!! Clearly, this is NOT enough for whats served. Its UNDER half full and I was charged for more!! This has happened several times and they refuse to fix it. Poppers should come with 2 ranch minnimum for the portion served or one cup thats ACTUALLY full. Thats very reasonable. Customers dont want to be unnecessarily nickel and dimed especially with the price tag of those poppers!

It would have been a WHOLE LOT BETTER if we had not gotten it to go, bcuz by the time we got to our Sons house and ate it the steam from the hot food inside the styrofoam containers had made the fries and lettuce and the buns soggy. Thats why I rarely ever get food to go if I can help it. I would definitely like to go there again and next time well have to eat AT the restaurant and I would be willing to bet that I would change my rating for the food quality to a 5-star rating.

My first time here. The massive sweet tea in a mason jar was so good. I ordered a blue cheese bacon burger and it was delicious with its homemade bun and huge beef patty. Service was excellent. I wish I had room for their ice cream everyone was eating. I m going back.

The burger had no flavor whatsoever. The waitress suggested tater tots with cheese, the tater tots were undercooked and raw. She said that the cheese that went on the tater tots was excellent. It was a block cheese with milk mix, which sounds like macaroni and cheese to me so I requested grated cheese, yet they still put The melted cheese on the tater tots, which was disgusting. So I had Cheese from a box on undercooked, tater tots, and a burger that had absolutely no flavor. This is perhaps the worst burger I ve ever had please do not waste your money.

Our whole visit was great! Greeted and seated with a smile from Miss Laney and then Miss April was our super sweet server! She was so cute with her pin-up hair (that was a wig but so fun!) We ended up staying for delicious homemade ice cream which I am shocked I had room for only because they give smaller options for burgers...best of both worlds! Sooo yummy! Was a great visit and I cant wait to come back!

Went today around 1 and food was amazing and we had a waitress who was okay but some one else named april took out order a was very rude. My 9 year old ordered the kids chicken bites and pointed to kids chicken bites and i said kids meal and she put it on ticket as adult and charged for drink. I asked cashier who took it to april who took the order and she was by the food window and raised her voice talking to the other girl say she didnt say that never once did she say kids basically calling us a liar. I patronized this place because of the online reviews, and they were right on point. The food is incredibly delicious, the atmosphere is friendly, and the service is awesome! Everyone is so nice. Lucy s Big Burgers is big on flavor! From the juicy burgers to the homemade ice cream, Lucy s Big Burgers is a must when in Abilene. The food is worth a visit alone, however the service deserves extra recognition. An elderly couple using mobility assistance devices entered the restaurant. When the owner Amy saw them and recognized that the next table to be seated was at a high table on another side of the restaurant, the owner directed the couple to a large table close to the entrance. I approached the owner after this as knowing others with mobility challenges would have wanted the same treatment for them. The owner then explained how she makes all the ice cream there and that chocolate is her favorite. The burgers we ordered were grilled to perfection - well seasoned without being overbearing. Their homemade ketchup packed a punch and went well with their fresh cut fries. We were less enthusiastic about their chicken bites but everything else beat our expectations. Highly recommend for the food and for the service. Note the opening hours: Monday to Thursday 11 am - 2 pm, Friday & Saturday 11 am - 9 pm, closed on Sundays

Was recommended by a co-worker. Was slightly disappointed the Poppers were unavailable, but its a reason to come back. Had onion rings, which were crispy on the outside and soft, tender and delicious inside. The homemade ranch is FANTASTIC! Had the #3, Lucy with cheese. The bun, was soft and delicious, burger came undressed with condiments on the table. The patty was huge and very tasty. Sweet potato fries were so good, but then add in the jalapeno ketchup, and WOW! Sweet tea was perfect, and loved the ice. Had one scoop of chocolate ice cream, soft and creamy! Will be back!

I would describe the atmosphere as nostalgic with vintage photos and signs on the walls, and the female staffs wardrobe mimicking that of Rosie the Riveter. I loved their food so much, I wished had a much larger stomach to keep eating there!!! I was visiting from San Angelo this past Friday and after over 30 minutes of looking for something that isn t drive thru, my friend and I found Lucy s. The waitress seated us immediately. I ordered a grilled cheese and a grilled ham and cheese with fries and chips. The grilled cheese was slightly burnt. But it was still delicious. I kept it because I didn t want to be a hassle. The owner came out ten minutes later and gave me an extra sandwich on house anyway. My friend told me there that apparently cheese is as addictive as heroin. Well I wish San Angelo was only 20 minutes away because I m already craving another sandwich from Lucy s. Do yourself a favor and EAT HERE!!!!!!!! Parking: Excellent parking l. I recently visited Lucys Big Burgers in Abilene, Texas and I have to say, it was an absolute pleasure. From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure that I had everything I needed. The burgers at Lucys are absolutely delicious! They are made with high-quality, fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. I particularly enjoyed the Big Lucy burger, which was piled high with all sorts of tasty toppings. The fries were also a hit - crispy and perfectly seasoned. In addition to the great food, Lucys also has a fantastic selection of drinks. I enjoyed a cold craft beer while I waited for my meal, and it really hit the spot. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC food quality. In house cut fries are perfectly like what In-N-Out aspires to be and doesnt quite achieve. The old school Americana half of the decor is adorable. The half that is aggressively hard-right-wing political slogans and statements probably suits a lot of people in this town, but if youre a more moderate exception or from somewhere else passing thru be aware what youre walking in to. Lunch rush is intense, spent over 40 minutes so make sure you have time to wait for the greatness if theres a lot of cars outside. Waitsaff were definitely not lazy, they just had a ton to handle.

Ordered burgers for my teenage boys and I for take out. When I got the food home, all 3 burgers had habanero sauce on them. (My burger was the only burger that normally comes with this sauce and I specifically told them NO SAUCE!) When I got home and took a bite, I knew right away the order was wrong. One of my sons could not eat his either after one bite. I called and spoke to the manager - she asked me to return the food. When I arrived the owner came out and I showed him that both burgers has habanero sauce on them. The manager lady came over and accused me to putting the sauce on myself - she claimed she checked the food before it went out. I was standing right in front of her when she cracked open the styrofoam container, looked at it - but did NOT lift the bun. The owner then accused me of putting the sauce on the burger also. I was furious !! I left the food there and walked out the door. No call from the owner - no refund - no excuse. I will NEVER go back to this place.

Excellent food. Myself and a team were visiting Abilene for a business trip. One of our local Abilene team recommended you for lunch. It was amazing. We decided to have Lucys the next day. My boss pre ordered lunch for about a dozen people. We picked it up and it was just as good if not BETTER than the day before. We come to Abilene 1 or 2 times a year. You have our business. Keep up the great work!!!! Anyone visiting Abilene MUST TRY LUCYS.

Had the Hawaiian burger and it was huge & tasty. Great atmosphere very attentive staff. Wait times may be longer when they re as busy as they were when I went tonight but the foods worth it. Tried the ice cream sierras a great server! Definitely recommend this spot.

So far, these are the best burgers I have tried in Abilene since I moved three and a half weeks ago. The meat is juicy, and the simplicity of the burger makes it delicious. They have ice cream too, and I heard it is good (I do not eat ice cream). They are pretty busy most of the time plan accordingly. I highly recommend this place

These burgers are filling! I was more than happy with what I ordered and got a side of ranch to get my fries in and that was amazing too. Followed all of this up with the homemade ice cream a scoop or banana pudding and strawberry but I could have just loved off the banana pudding one alone. Had to go home and sleep it off it was all so good! I will definitely be coming back next time Im in Texas!

Todays stop! Lucys Big Burgers Everything is indeed BIGGER in Texas!! Such an AMAZINGLY unique and FUN restaurant. Awesome decor, staff has on cute Rosie the riveter outfits. Super friendly staff. Food choices are plenty, food is seasoned to perfection. Burgers are BIG and you can get them even BIGGER if you want. LOVE LOVE LOVE their jalapeno poppers! Sooo crunchy and tasty. Food came out very fast. I was really surprised because they were sooo busy. Great taste and temperature. After getting filled up on burgers and fries you must try their own homemade ice cream.
