I think the definition of clean may vary. The shores around this lake, including at the park, are covered in broken glass and trash. Take out food packaging, bits of clothing, beer cans and bottles, even used diapers. Its a disgrace.

Playground: Nice playground area near Pavillion. Easy to sit at picnic tables and still be close to the kiddos. Toilets: Several restrooms, Picnic area: Nice shaded picnic areas spread out. Trash cans near by, grills.

We love this lake and come every other weekend when my husband is off work . My reason for giving them 3 stars is because there restrooms and playground. They re absolutely horrible there crawling with lots of spiders . My children can t even play on the playground because it s covered in spiderwebs everywhere. There s lots of dangerous spiders like black widows and brown recluse . I understand we are outdoors but it wouldn t hurt for them to treat and spray these areas to make them more safe and suitable for families . Other than those 2 issues the lake is well taken care of and clean . I recommend bringing your own sort of portable toilet and bikes for your children.

Been going here for most of my life... They have kept it personal not high end... A great lake for fishing camping ! They have frisbee golf course... Play ground and the best wind off the lake!!.. several boat ramps still accessable... Covered seating for folks who need shade ... Wonderful fun with family and friends!

Decent sized park. Trash is everywhere, beach is gravel and rocks covered in glass from bottles. Most water off shoreline is covered in sharp rocks. Obviously neglected, havent been to a park so dirty.

Pretty great lakeside park. Lots of parking, plenty of picnic tables, grills, volleyball court, fishing dock, and swimming areas. Public handicap accessible restrooms and pavilions for reservation available also. Bathrooms could use work and the handicap stall in the womens rest room had the door ripped off completely and did not have a door or privacy. Great place to watch the sunrise, picnic, bring kids, family etc. Camping up to 48 hours, no alcohol signs everywhere by city ordinance.

Fishing was fun !! We got there early. We BBQd and ate together as a family. It was so nice to get outside in TX Hill Country, especially during pandemic. Camping was enjoyable except for the later hours on Saturday evening. We really wanted to give this place a 5*, however we gave it 4* because of the noise. While camping, therewere 2 separate large groups of teens and obnoxious young adults publicly drinking, vomiting near our tent, bumping bass loudly while sitting IN their vehicles, and no respect for people sleeping in their tents. Shortly afterwards we heard the fire department and EMS sirens from across the lake. (We hoped it wasnt from teens drinking and driving ending in a car wreck.) We will probably go back again but to a more isolated campsite. These facilities are free and as a community we should all be responsible and respectful. Treat everyone the same way you desire to be treated. Overall, it was enjoyable. Thank you Jesus.

My wife and I had a nice experience, but one thing we both didnt like were the bathrooms. If you go during the summer, they will be extremely hot as there is no air conditioning. Theres nothing worse than trying to do your business while sweating profusely. They need to install some air conditioning.

Lots of litter in the water and on the ground. Lots of left over campfires scattered about. Signs say no alcohol is strictly enforced but you might as well say the beach is at least 50% broken beer bottles. Beer cans and alcohol bottles everywhere. There was half a pig floating in there for some reason.
