I called this morning and was able to get an appointment same day. Very friendly staff over the phone. Brody was amazing!! He was able to give us a bit of background on our fireplace. Sadly we have a few issues needing to be fixed, but he was able to show us what the problem was. He gave us every option possible to fix our fireplace. Definitely will use this company in the future to get the job done right.

Harrison was great! I had recently moved into the house and didnt know the state of the chimney beyond how dirty it looked and smelled like creosote. Harrison cleaned it up nicely and showed me the additional items I need to address for safe usage. He was all done in a little over an hour. Cleaned up after and left no mess behind! My experience with Shanes Chimney Care was far from satisfactory. The technicians are wonderful and wanted to ensure I was getting taken care of. Their business practices on the other hand need some evaluating. They came out and quoted me for a demolition job, did a full inspection, and talked to me about my options. I expressed the water leak issue as well as the water damage in the wall. Within my contract, they stated they would reframe the wall, insulate it, and close it back up from both sides. After completing half of the demolition the technicians informed me that the wall needed to be reframed which was already stated within my contract. The company then decided to have another entity come out to give me a quote, without informing me of this beforehand. I was then informed by the new organization that they underbid the job for the amount of work that needed to be done and were trying to find someone else to pass it on to. Following this I didnt hear anything from Shanes Chimney Care for weeks until they had they reached out about paying them more money. I had already paid them close to $900 and they wanted an additional $350 and said that would cover the cost of the demolition. I wouldnt have agreed to their quote if they didnt include the rebuild within that original quote. I ended up paying significantly more and having to do a lot of work on my own. When I expressed my viewpoint to them they were unwilling to understand and kept demanding the $350. They didnt hold themselves accountable for the agreement they made and they demonstrated unethical practices.

Harrison was very polite, professional, respectful of my house and very knowledgeable in his line of work. He caught a potential fire hazard in the attic!! Jake and Elijah came over today and certainly did not disappoint me. They were right on time if not a few minutes early, explained what they were doing, got it done, then showed me pictures of their handy work!! Like Harrison was, these two were very upbeat, polite, professional, and went up and beyond their duties. They hung up 2 pictures frames for me that had fallen off as I could not do it.!!!

I was impressed from the beginning when you worked us in so quickly. The texted reminders, leading up to the appointment, were very helpful by showing the time, date, and the name of our technician, Harrison, who would be driving the 70 miles to our home. Another nice touch, was the text we received from Harrison, on the morning of our appointment. He confirmed his ETA and his text even showed his photo, so that we would recognize him when arrived. Harrison was punctual, arriving 5 minutes early, . The entire appointment took only about 2 hours or so and the entire process was super easy. Our fireplace still had plenty of ashes in it and Harrison assured us that he would take care of everything. He was polite, efficient, explained everything to us, and was very helpful with suggestions to our questions, regarding our hearth and roof. When he said he was finished, everything was spotless. Payment was easy with every option available. He was very thorough and patient with our many questions. We were also impressed with the summary that he emailed within a few minutes after leaving. It detailed everything that was done, along with images of the fireplace, both inside and out, plus the entire chimney that included the roof. Shanes Chimney is the only company I have ever had clean our chimney. They always do a great job. This year we had to get a new fire place insert. They installed it for us. They had to work on it all day to get it right. They also had to do repair work on our chimney. They were so patient. Brody had to give us lessons on how to build a fire in this new stove. Brody was prompt and professional. He did a very thorough job inspecting two of our fireplaces and cleaning the one that needed cleaning as well as cleaning out our dryer vent. He brought to our attention some issues he discovered. We are overall very happy with the job he did!

We chose them months before we actually booked based on reviews. Once we bought our house ,and moved from Houston ,we called and set up an inspection and discussed the items we wanted/needed done in the Fireplace to convert to wood burning stove. The initial consultation with Brody made us certain we had made the right choice ! I cant speak about affordability,because we never searched for comparables. We didnt need to...You just know that you are working with professionals and good people ! At this time,they have completed part of the installation and will return tomorrow to finish. I have no doubt that our experience will be the same. I will recommend this company to anyone who asks about the service we received.

We had never had our dryer vent cleaned out after almost 23 years. It was extremely stopped up, but Harrison was willing to keep at it until it was completely cleaned out. He was very professional and pleasant to deal with. We will use Harrison next, to add an electric fireplace. I highly recommend Shanes Chimney Care!

Way overpriced for lil ol Abilene~business rep totally forgot why he was at our house~ too busy persistently pushing new materials! We just wanted a SWEEP~ yes, maybe there were more issues but just a SWEEP! Careful when you schedule ~ just the first inspection plus mileage was 260.00 ~ NO SWEEP! The estimate with everything we were told we need was $4800.00. And up! It s cheaper to call bigger cities ( with mileage) than to deal with Shane s. Don t waste your time & money

Brody, the fireplace educator, came over and assess our fireplace. We had been having issues with the smell of smoke lingering and couldnt figure out the issues ourselves. Brody is truly an educator! He took the time to assess our fireplace from the inside and from the roof. He talked to us along the way, telling us what he was seeing and even explaining to us how our fireplace was built, why these materials arent holding up, and step by step what would need to be done to fix it. It was incredibly helpful! Well be using Shanes again in the future.
