Id just like to take a minute to recognize Herman Marshall, but more specifically all of the staff. Statistically speaking, its usually only bad reviews that are given and thats not an accurate representation of a business or its staff. I was there yesterday, and like it can be sometimes, it was BUSY! Despite it being busier than Ive seen it in a while, the servers and bartenders were fantastic! Everyone was moving with a purpose the entire time. I never saw any of the servers or bartenders standing around, doing nothing. The drink orders were prompt, accurate and always amazing. The staff consistently give their customers amazing service and thats what keeps me coming back.

We came into here today and the atmosphere was lively, staff were friendly but busy! From the time we got there until we left, Herman Marshall was packed. Jazlyn was nice and answered our questions, drinks came out quick despite how busy they were. Service was awesome and they killed it! We will be back!

I would like to give a shout out to Jason, Angela and the staff from the past Saturday, July 20th. I rented out the top floor to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and from the time I booked my event till the last guest left, nothing but excellent customer service. They were very attentive and helpful from setup to the end. If you have not visit this establishment; I highly recommend you stop by. Thanks for everything. Top Notch!!

I recently had the pleasure of having my baby shower at Herman Marshall and it was absolutely perfect! Not only is the venue beautiful but the staff and service we received was outstanding. Nick and Angela went above and beyond to ensure that everything went smoothly. They were so helpful and accommodating throughout the entire process from planning to setting up and cleaning up. Communicating with Angela was easy and pleasant. Nick s signature cocktails, which matched my theme perfectly, were delicious and loved by the guests. I definitely recommend having ANY event at Herman Marshall, you will not be disappointed!

First of all, Alexis Shredded Pocahontas is incredible to be near. She recommends specialty drinks according to your personal preferences. I just had my 50th in their private room upstairs and it was perfect! Angela, the Event Manager, was excellent and the staff was extremely courteous on making sure I had the best experience. We looked at several venues and this was the best in terms if vibe, venue location/size, and staff. My guests had a blast and raved about the drinks! Thank you again, Angela and team!

We used Herman Marshall Whiskeys upstairs venue space for a continuing education event for doctors. The space was amazing--our guests raved at the cool aesthetics and trendy vibe. Great AV compatibility. Amazing client communication with HM event manager, Angela--she made everything smooth and seamless. Drinks were on point and a great time was had by all. I highly recommend!

Update March 2024: Looks like they went the extra mile to appeal the photos Ive attached as proof of their fraudulent acts. Dont know how they got my pics I uploaded to Google Maps reviews removed, but Ill try to do my appeal to re-upload my proof that these guys are crooks. Little guy fighting the big guy. You know what you did, HERMAN!!! Karma is real and all the dirty deeds youve done to others to advance yourself, will come back 10-folds. TBD. The pictures of the bottles on their website and related articles are of the photography work I did for them. After all said and done, never got compensated and they never returned my calls or emails. I dont have lawyers and legal financing to go after these crooks. I dropped it and called it a loss. 2 weeks worth of work and 2 drives from Arlington to Garland and met with Herman to discuss the job. About 3 years later, theyre still using my photo for their own profit. Crooks and dishonest. This is all I can do, to defend myself. I have proof of all original work I did for them. The images attached here are screenshots from their Instagram. Theyre dated back to 2014, when they ripped me off. And these are just some examples. There are more.

We are so lucky to have Herman Marshall in the heart of downtown Wylie!! We went here on their opening day and have been coming back multiple times. There are plenty of craft cocktail options to choose from. Plenty of seating and a great space on the second floor for events!

This place is awesome. Not only does it have great atmosphere but every one of their Whiskeys are delicious. Enjoyed some live music along with some delicious locally distilled whiskey. We had such a good time at the Herman Marshall tasting room. The atmosphere was great, the service was top notch and the old fashion was just like I like it! Character, integrity, and class mean something. I only buy products from companies that have these attributes. There are companies out there that make better bourbon compared to Marshall Herman (or is it Herman Marshall?..makes no difference anyway), so I would highly recommend seeking them out. Educated consumers vote with their dollars.

Something may have happened, but I do not see the usual staff from opening weekend. Thus, the current staff felt less friendly, or more like they seemed overwhelmed. Therefore, it s not the same welcoming feeling. As for the whiskey, it s a bit overpriced, and I cannot find it at my local specs. As for the taste, I would say it s decent. Nothing spectacular. Lastly, the bar could use more space for seating and restrooms.

We held a baby shower event using the entire 2nd floor of HM on Saturday. With approx 70 guests, the space was perfect. We were allowed to set up & decorate the night before so we had time to set up all the dining tables (we had 9 round tables sitting 8 chairs each), huge balloon arch/photo area, lunch buffet table, beverage table, welcome area & all the decorations. Jason was an amazing help with everything we needed and offered great ideas on table placements, etc. We met with Rodney a few weeks prior to our event and he crafted 4 special pink drinks to offer our guests in alcohol & non-alcoholic versions. All drinks were delicious and our guests loved them. The day of the event Jason was so helpful, answering all our questions and getting us things we didnt know we needed like a microphone, a special fan for our mom-to-be as she opened gifts, helping us with the window coverings, a instrgram-light for the photo area, etc. Rodney & all the servers that day were friendly and so helpful. After the event was over, we had a group of ladies move to the first floor for more fun and addl HM cocktails. Thank you to the entire staff at HM for helping to make this special day happy & memorable for us!

The service is terrible. There was 3 young girls working and instead of serving the customers they were behind the counter talking the entire time we were there. With that our table sat with empty drinks for a while before going up to the counter, we had a server to our table once the whole night and she singled me out with the rest of my group to ask for my ID. She did not ask me if I wanted a drink and ignored our table the whole night. We had to walk up to the counter to get any attention. I do not recommend this place, the servers are rude, non-attentive, and tax was outrageous as well. This place can use some new servers.

I have enjoyed HM from the very beginning. Their taproom experience and tours are a great afternoon experience and very informative. Their product is amazing and consistently great to enjoy. I had a completely local experience following a local friend. First, I taste-tested 4 different whiskeys for an hour. Of course, they gave me a very detailed explanation during the test (I dont understand everything, so its a problem haha), and then I took a factory tour (production process tour). Tours are held every day. No, you have to make a reservation in advance.

I feel like an expert now!!! The Bottle Your Own Bourbon Tour at Herman Marshall Distillery was great! I would recommend it to everyone. Herman was super knowledgeable and Marshall was a hoot! You can tell how passionate they are about what they do. The tour was very interactive and you can get hands on in the process from start to the finished product

Wow! We didnt know that this Distillery is right here in Garland. Really enjoyed the tour, education, tasting and the opportunity to bottle our own Bourbon. Highly recommend this tour and HM Bourbon. Learned the correct method of evaluating a Bourbon and the difference in flavor between corn vs rye. I am sure we will go again and pick up more info and enjoy the tour.

My girlfriend and I were suppose to go on a tour of the distillery this past Saturday May 19th. We called and planned it 3 weeks in advance since we were doing a fun 4 day weekend with a bunch of different events. We showed up at 12:45 (15 min before the tour was suppose to begin) and the building was locked up and no one was around. We were really looking forward to the tour but theres no way we will drive 45 minutes back and risk wasting our time again. Sad to see companies do this to interested potential customers.

Went on an incredible tour hosted by Herman. This was one of the most thorough tours Ive ever seen or heard about for any distillery. We for to sample a number of different whiskeys and see how they are made. Herman knows his stuff. I really enjoyed the Rye. This is not a store - its a working distillery, so make sure if you want to go buy some that they are open, etc.
