My kids & I loved spending time here this summer. My only negatives are that there are too many big kids running through & playing in the little kid area making it unsafe for the little ones. The ground under water scrapes up your feet & knees. & the pavement is very hot!

August 31, 2024 I visited your establishment today around 1:15 PM, having paid online for my experience. Unfortunately, my visit was marred by the unacceptable behavior of one of your employees. A worker with dirty blonde hair and blonde tips harassed me from 3:15 PM to 6:00 PM. She, along with other workers, continuously blew whistles for no apparent reason and found trivial things to nag about that no other worker seemed to care about. Her behavior was intrusive and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. She seemed to be starting conflicts for no reason and ruined what should have been a pleasant time. I believe this employees conduct is unacceptable and she should be fired. My experience was significantly tarnished due to her actions, and I felt harassed throughout my visit , And at that I am a child feeling like this and she was a life card her hair was fried there s another description she was old in the face she had a pink water bottle . I hope you take this matter seriously and ensure that no other customer has to go through what I did.

This place is old and you can see they don t spend money on updating or fixing things. Sides of pool area are dirty and there were so many leaves and frogs in water. The more people were in the area the dirtier the water got. With what they charge this place should be so much more updated and cleaned. Don t waste

We went today worse thing we couldve done the water level was low the place was nasty falling apart pumps was down you had to walk the lazy river it was a waste of time and day cause Ive got bad knees and squatting in less than 3 ft of water and having to move since the lazy river isnt flowing was bad enough but then they closed the pool all together because a kids punked in the water plus a drunk adult punked this is why alcohol should be banned at family friendly places

It was fun not to big and not to small.I was disappointed in the way they handled a situation. The poor people next to our Cabana had a dead animal in theres and had paid for the day.they had to clean it 2 hrs later still not able to get into it he asked for a refund they gave it but should of allowed them to stay the remainder of the day instead made them leave it and rented it out to someone else. That is very poor customer service in my opinion.

Really high ticket prices and I didnt get my military discount? The wave pool barely worked, and some slides were broken. Since the city took over, weve all noticed the expansion has never happened. For kids this place is 5 stars. As for adult accommodations, this place needs some work. Their bar location is on the other side of the park. And there s a tiny area that s shaded where you can have your drink. HOWEVER, you cannot be in the water and have your drink in your hand. You must sit on the edge of the pool with your drink, and if you move from this position, you ll be whistled at. They need a better area for adults where they can have drinks in the water, be unbothered by children, and enjoy the day. I think they would have a good turnout with these accommodations, and honestly they re missing out on a lot of money, because I only drank half my drink because I couldn t enjoy it. I wouldn t have gotten intoxicated, however, I would ve had 2-3 of their $10 drinks over a period of time if I could ve enjoyed them.

Had to leave a one star in order to leave a review! Ive been in this town since 2017,I never go swimming or to any pools,so for summer break I had my 3 grandchildren, and all they wanted was to go to castaway cove!!! Ok I buy 4 adult tickets and one for the under 42/46 inches!!136.00 we show up on 06/18/2024 the children were super excited of course ages 5,8 and 9 thats what children their age do,I could not for the life of me believe how green the water was,we could not even see our feet,I was disgusted, but how could I tell these sweet grandchildren of mine NO YOU CAN NOT GET IN!!!!!!! 136.00 for this disgusting water park! This just adds to more of the reason as to why I personally do not get in pools or lakes!! You would think as over priced as this place is with tickets and food and drinks, they would at least have the common decency to keep this water cleaned and better sanitized!!! Yes Castaway Cove you got me this time, there will not be a shame on me as the saying goes!!! BY THE WAY Castaway Cove was put on RANTS and Raves and admin stopped the public from committing,I wonder why!! AS FOR MY FAMILY AND I WILL NOT BE BACK!!!!!Charges dismissed on Wichita Falls father Lance Murray, who Sheriff s deputies used excessive force on his sons at Castaway Cove Waterpark. Dallas, TX

It s a relaxing place, and I especially enjoy the lazy river/wave pool combo. Staff is friendly, and food is typical of what you would get from most Waterparks. My biggest 2 complaints are that the biggest/coolest looking slide is and has been closed down for at least 3 summers. I also wish they allowed you to bring water bottles in. I understand they want to drive up revenue, but I really don t want to wait in a long line just to get cold water. Overall I would recommend this park if you re in the area.

I m extremely disappointed and do not recommend castaway cove to anyone. I was excited to use my season pass this summer but now I regret wasting the money on one. Overpriced, dangerous, and dirty. They don t seem to clean the water or the restrooms. The flooring/walls are extremely rough and we leave with scrapes and cuts! Nobody watches their kids, everyone shoves past you. No one takes turns on the waterslides, the life guards should be making it more fair so we aren t waiting 15 minutes hoping someone is kind enough to give us a turn. The staff and lifeguards are very rude and on a power trip. They seem to find any reason to scream and blow their whistle at you. We had a very condescending lady help us when the locker kiosk was giving us trouble. Just an overall bad experience and I wish I could give zero stars.

We got season passes for the first time this year since my kid is old enough to do all the rides. We have been at least 10 times since the summer started. We usually go right when they open but even when we haven t, we have been able to find tables no problem. There s plenty of space for everyone. But y all listen, their pizza is so good. Like I crave it when we aren t there. And most recently, the three guys working the pizza stand were an absolute joy. (Shout out to the guys working Father s Day @ the pizza stand) The staff has been nothing but kind and friendly. If I had to complain, sometimes there s trash in the water, especially on windy days. But that s on the people not throwing their trash away when they re finished. We try to help clean up when we can. Overall we have loved every trip to this park!

We are vacationing and although my kids had a good time I couldn t help but be disappointed in how dirty the park is. The bathrooms are disgusting. Clearly they don t have a regular cleaning schedule since multiple stalls were out of toilet paper right at opening. The lifeguards are also just a bunch of teenagers enjoying the power trip and yelling at everyone for everything. No parents needs some 16 year old yelling at them because their young child doesn t know one of the rules. Calm down and show respect to those paying you to keep them safe. Overall not the worst experience but definitely not worth the money to enter or the money you are forced to spend on lunch since you can t bring any food with you. Definitely won t be back.

Who wants to sit outside the pool to drink their beer when its 100 degrees out. I saw security tell many adults to get out of the pool if they had a drink but were told you can sit on the edge with your legs in the water. Doesnt make sense. Beers were about $6 which is over priced. Ive been several other water parks that you can drink in the pool bar area and in the lazy river. You need to update your policies.

This is a fantastic place to have fun and kill time! I highly recommend buying the season pass if you live nearby; you get to go as many times as you want with no entry fee and you get a 10% discount on food and at the gift shop. This is a kid-friendly water park, which means that they have a kids area, child-size innertubes and life vests, as well as baby changing stations in the family bathroom. This is also an LGBTQ+ friendly water park, meaning that transgender guests can use the bathroom that they feel the most safe in, as well as having anti-discrimination policies in place. Guests can be kicked out if they are being discriminatory towards other guests or disrupting the peace. I highly recommend this water park! They maintain the park to the best of their abilities, and the lifeguards are always on high alert. The only thing I do not like is how long it takes to order and receive your food from the café, as well as the cost of food. They dont even allow you to pack your own lunch, since all outside food and drinks are banned.

The hangout spot with water basketball and volleyball is always fun. There s plenty of spots to sit in or out of the water. Plenty of lockers to store your stuff and lots of included inner tubes or rentals. They have plenty of food and snack spots as well as Dip n Dots! Season passes are very affordable and give added bonuses as well. Side note: the floor of the lazy river is extremely rough, we learned the hard way. Wear water shoes and you will be a lot happier.

Awful!! It was our very first time going. They had only been open two days so far for the season. The bathrooms were filthy. I have been to many waterparks over the years and never experienced one so rough. The floor on the wave pool/lazy river is insane and tore our legs, feet and toes to pieces. For them being newly open, the lazy river was full of trash. You d think they d have someone around with a net or something to help clean it up during the day. The lifeguards I understand have a huge responsibility, but they acted as if they were 16 with a power trip. My little boy can t swim great and I stopped a moment to make sure he could catchup w us, and kept getting whistled at with hand gestures to move on. Ridiculous! That evening my entire family came down sick w stomach issues, sore throats and runny noses. We thought maybe it was just a virus. We let it runs its course for 2 days and then went to the doctor. She suspects we picked up some sort of staph infection from the nasty water. So we re waiting on the testing to come back from all of that. Highly disappointed and won t be back!! Drove from Oklahoma to experience this and had intentions on season passes. Spent over $120 just for tickets, not to mention refillable cups etc to use for in future and won t be able to use.

****Today, Sept 4th was the last day of operation for this year & it was terrible! There were very few of the free floating tubes, but they had plenty of the $7 rental tubes, they were short handed so they could only have 2 slides going at a time. This will be our last year buying season passes. It was hit or miss all summer, unhappy employees make for a horrible place to visit. The summer kids threw their managers under the bus every chance they got, even they know its not being run correctly. The city seems to ruin everything they get ahold of. We will continue to go out of town or to OK to have fun times & spend our $. June... We had a great time! We went from 11 to 3, there was just a handful of people & no waiting at the big slides. By 2pm it was getting very busy & when we left it was packed. Price for entry: $24.00

We booked the party pack + rented a Cabana. When we got there the guy taking tickets was pretty rude and not much of assistance on where I needed to go. Well after getting it figured out the host was a little confused and seemed like she didnt know what she was doing. Sweet girl, but even when I asked her about the attractions going on at the park she had no idea or about our unlimited drinks she had no clue... the pizza and ice cream cake were very good the kids enjoyed it. When we went to get their pucker punch thing we gave the coupon for redemption and she tried charging us $1.50 each..uhh no. That shouldve been included in our package, the guest service girl was clueless. My children had fun at the buccaneer bay and lazy river, and someone child pooped in the pool so we lost over an hour of swim time for our children after paying the price we did to enjoy the waterpark. Other than that the 3 employees really just kind of unknowingly of whats going on we had a good time, but for over $324 party pack I would expect more from the employees to know their job descriptions.

We got the season passes, which meant we averaged about $10 per person per visit. At that price, Id say its worth it. Our kids are small, so we stay in the middle area and the lazy river, and that works. I like the setup. The only major problem is that every 10-15 minutes, a huge horn blares, and a huge bucket of water dumps out over the side. The bucket of water is cool, my daughter loves it, the huge horn blast - not so much. My son is four and autistic and this keeps him on the edge constantly. He wants so badly to go out and play with the other kids, but it seems like every time he regulates and ventures back out, it blares again, sending him running back for me. I know it bothers other people, too. It would be nice if they could come up with a better system thats more friendly to neurodivergent kids and adults.

We love coming here. We rent a cabana every year when we come. I wish they would let you pay for entry of an ice chest as the concession is terrible and over priced! This year there were alot of bugs in the swimming areas and very large crickets and grasshoppers.

I purchased 3 passes for one day. The lazy River was the best part of the park. They only had 2 of the 5 slides open at a time. Only 4 of the 5 were operating for the day with all slides closed for 15 min increments while switching between the 4. The wave pool was small and not very wavy. We went to purchase swim shoes, due to concrete and stairs being so hot, at the merchandise shop which was pretty empty so were unable to. We ended up spending $125 total for an hour and a half. Not worth the money. Should have just gone a little further to bigger park for the same money.

Bad experience. I came on a weekday and waited 45 minutes for the slides to open and they still weren t so I called they told me that they would open at 12. They didn t open at 12 so I called again and they said 1 but they would be alternating hours. So not only did they wait 2 hours after opening to open the slides but when they opened the slides they would only be open for one hour open and one hour closed. Which means waiting in long lines because you only have an hour to try and get through all the slides which is nearly impossible due to everyone trying to go in the 1 hour span they give us. If you are willing to wait the 2 hours before they open then the hours in between there is barely anything else to do but just swim in between slide times. Went to get a refund and customer service was terrible when asked for a refund. Will not be going again.

Paid full price today as usual but the waterpark was totally understaffed and many rides closed at times. That is not acceptable or it should be a reduced ticket price. Long lines and long waiting time for food and drinks. Bad customer service overall and a disappointing experience today for our kids.

The City of Wichita Falls needs to do some work on this place. Pools have significant algae. Tiles missing all over lazy river. Many areas are in need of repairs and repainting. Lifeguards are power hungry punks who like to pick on kids.

We had fun, despite the park showing some signs of wear. We rented a cabana for the day, and it makes the experience better. Whatever you do, unless you have feet hardened by the country, wear water shoes. The rough surfaces in the pools and the death hot walking surfaces caused burns and scrapes that made it difficult until we bought shoes at the little shop. We had fun, we will go again when we are in town. We have been to many water parks and this does have a great kids area. The giant bucket used to tip and splash the kids below, but seems to no longer work. But, two teenagers, a six year old and four adults had a nice day. It was well staffed the day we were there with a sufficient number of lifeguards.

Dont get me wrong, this place is a great place to come out and relax and season passes have been a great investment for my family and I. We go and leave as we please and never have to feel disappointed if the park is packed or if there is bad weather we can always come back. My kids love it, the slides are fun, and over all its relaxing. However, due to lack of staff and terrible turnover rate, not all rides are ever open. A lot of tubes are flat, life jackets are limited and destroyed, forcing you to have to rent tubes. Also is the pirates plunge just going to permanently be shut down all year? It hasnt been open once for 2023. Its not bad, but not great either. Its pointless just buying a day pass, its too expensive for what you get.

Dont waste your time or money. Too many deficiencies to list. No need to address the management either. They were zero help and had no intentions of doing so. Atleast I was refunded my money..the only positive during our experience. After we left ,we drove 10mins north to Boomtown Bay and had a great time for a fraction of the price.
