The staff is friendly and receptive. I especially appreciate the professional, timely assistance from Social Worker Tesha. She provides timely, accurate information; plus she creates a comfortable environment in the workplace for residents and visitors.

The staff was very helpful but I can t say enough about how the Social Worker went out of her way to help my family. She was so knowledgeable, receptive, and compassionate to our family. Ms. Morgan is a true asset to the facility and organization. She will always hold a special place in my heart and our family will always remember her dedication and sincere kindness she showed us.

I am truly thankful we chose Midwestern Health Care as my moms rehab and extended stay nursing care facility. The staff are caring, attentive, outgoing, hardworking, and professional. The facility is clean and always looks festive. The activities are fun for the residents. She takes extra steps to personalize her services for the residents too. Physical therapy work hard to be encouraging for personal well-being and progress. The nursing staff keep a closer watch on residents care and health concerns. My mom is always clean and well groomed. She is always in a clean outfit. All the staff from the administration team to the housekeepers make an effort for this facility to feel like a home. The transportation staff stay with residents to make dure they dont feel alone at appointments. I highly reccomend them when you need longterm care or rehab for your loved ones.

I was there for 6 months. They nearly killed me twice. Poor care and poor Doctoring. I was transferred to the hospital twice. The food was absolutely terrible. One of my high protein meals was a corn dog and 11 tater tots. I still have the picture. They barely feed you enough to stay alive. Some of the staff was great. After 7 pm the night staff simply disappear. Expect at least 1.5 hours to answer a call light. Later it was discovered the staff was hiding in a room sleeping. Daytime response was adequate. Wound care was the best thing about the place. Any 5 star reviews are from employees. Medicare rates it a 1 out of 5 stars. Overall, its a deathtrap.. Go anywhere else!!!

My Daddy is at this facility for Respite Care for a second time. He has some fears and issues from abuse he suffered at a different facility for several years before I got him home with me. He was extremely scared when he went to Midwestern the first time, but when he surprisingly had mostly his things to say about them and had no problems going back when it was time. His only complaint was that someone didnt warm the wipes before going to help clean him up...lol. I brought with him this time a wipe warmer. When i came to bring his stuff to him the night after he went this time, even though he had slid down from his wheelchair seat and was in pain because he was overdue for his meds I just brought, he was still in good spirits and cutting up with the nurses/aides. While that may sound like not a big thing... it was actually a huge thing for him. They were great with him and really seemed to listen and adjust things to work for him and his routine. They also takes to him as a person, instead of about him. He seemed content and didnt cry when I went to have this time. This isnt the big and extravagant type of place, but it seems to always be very clean and efficient in the way it is run. It was very refreshing to be able to leave and feel confident that my Daddy would be safe and cared for while Im away. I truly appreciate the way they have communicated and listened to me to learn about him, instead of just making him completely firm to their mold. That have to do some things certain ways for safety, but they also try to cater some to their individual wants and needs as well. This facility warned by Daddys seal of approval (which is not the easiest feat), so they get mine as well. I would recommend them for sure!

I was at Midwestern Healthcare Center today with my sister-in-law to ask for information for a possible admission for my brother-in-law. The lady in the business office had only been there for three weeks but you would not have ever guessed. She was very helpful answering all questions to our satisfaction. I have hearing loss and she was very patient with me as well. We did not have an appointment but she visited with us at length, never making us feel hurried in any way. She included a conference call with a Medicaid representative to provide added support for our inquires. A very comfortable and pleasant experience considering the circumstances.

This is facility that cares for its residents. I can say this as a nurse with over 35 years of experience, as well as a former employee. Nursing facilities should be judged by the people who work there, and how they care for, and care about the residents, not just by fancy advertisements, furniture, or the outward appearance. Midwestern Healthcare is a quality facility, capable of addressing any needs your loved one may have. Not just saying they can, as most all facilities do, but actually providing quality care and all that it entails, from the quality of the food, to Edwin Holland (marketing liaison), they make sure all residents receive the best care obtainable, and in a caring, professional way. You can do worse, but cannot find a better place for your loved one in need of such care and services!

I had the privilege of working along side this excellent group of healthcare professionals for over 10 years. You will not find this level of care, dedication and love for the job that these fine people have in their hearts anywhere else in town. A true place to call home is at MHCC.

As a previous employee I regret to inform many that this facility isnt somewhere for you to place a loved one nor a place to work. Their is a constant clash of personalities, teamwork and communication is nearly non existent the amout of neglect and lack of care giving to the residents is bare minimum. I hated to have to leave my residents. Ive known and cared for many of them since before I was even out of grade school. The building is infested with roaches. The walls in hopper rooms caked in mold and mildew. Yes they may have remodeled but all was done was a new coat of paint and decor. The building is in need of major repairs. Both for health and safety reasons. Let me mention that most 5 star reviews are from current employees.

My father was transferred there after a fall at home that resulted in a small fracture in his femur. He cannot walk at all. I arrived on a Sunday just after noon to see him and noticed when I walked in, there was no reception. I had to search for a while to find a nurse. The nurse told and pointed me in the direction of his room but that did little help because there were no numbers on any of the doors. After I found his room, the first thing he said when I walked through the door was Oh thank God. He went on to tell me how they ignore the call alarm, remember, he cant walk, when he needed to use the restroom. I found his plastic bedside urinal laying on the ground under his bed. The urinal still had some urine in it from last use. He needed to go again and pressed the call switch. 5 minutes later, still nobody comes. I walk down the hall to see where everyone is at and the break room is full (5-6) of employees sitting on their butts with the alarm blaring in the background. Brought these complaints up with the RN in charge and I get What? They cant eat?. Rude non-caring people work here. DO NOT bring your loved ones to this human warehouse. I am getting my father out of this hell-hole ASAP!!
