The tail is clean and paved. It runs along the Wichita River. Very nice and peaceful, the wildflowers in the spring and beautiful! Parking: Free parking lot on both ends of the trail Dog-friendliness: Very dog friendly. They just have to be leashed.

Went to Wichita Bluff Nature Area to get some peace and quiet. I only explored from loop 11 entrance to the other and boy.... its a lot bigger than I thought. Was there during a thunderstorm and greatly enjoyed the whole experience. The place well maintained and has plenty of rest/sitting areas spread throughout and a few covered picnic tables. Id imagine that it would be even better during the day and during Spring and Summer. (Will update with photos soon)

Good place to get out and walk. Nice part. Usually a few people there in evenings and weekends. Plenty of benches to sit and watch the world go by along the route.

Great for walking off fat and the air is much cleaner than in the city limits. You must watch out for poop on the concrete and snakes. No big problems other than two bodies were not where they were supposed to be. One was an overdose of drugs on a needle of either insulin or addicting body killing expensive no nos. The other was ruled a suicide. Dont walk down there late at night without proper gear because there are cougars also known as mountain lions. Most of the rattlesnakes this year are behind Fre Mar Valley by the River. You can find some ladies and mens underwear around there too especially in Spring. Please dont pick it up without using gloves. Parking: Plenty of parking at loop 11 Toilets: Never found them. I go before I walk. They need more trash cans

If you go in early May like I did, the wild flowers are in full bloom and its absolutely stunning! The walking trail is pathed and super wide, it does have a few hills but it also has tons of benches and good places to stop and look at the view. Toilets: No restrooms.

A wonderful trail to tackle either early morning or late evening when the Texas sun is no longer harsh on the forehead . Went jogging and met a couple of other people who were biking or dog-walking. Even saw a wedding party doing a photo shoot, what a beautiful place for it! And it was so pretty with the sun setting just so, over the horizon. Abundant parking. Picnic area: Well-maintained picnic areas dotted along the trail.

My mom and I love these trails, as a younger kid, we would walk the trails way before 2016. Just a great place to capture the beautiful scenery and nature. You can get a lot of beautiful photos if youre into photography like me.

Nice place to eat with a view. Paved walk/bike paths. Clean with a covered picnic area. Part of the many trails in Wichita area. Def worth the stop to complete your trails journey or to just see the view and eat a snack. Family friendly with wheelchair access.

I want to start by saying I absolutely love this path. I was looking for something other than walking around Lucy Park over and over again. I really like the views and how peaceful the walk is. I would give this trail a better rating but I wanted people to know to be careful of where they leave their vehicle and anything they potentially leave in their vehicle. I have been on the trail twice now. I have loved it both times. I had great walks both times. However, yesterday I parked in the parking lot with other vehicles and jumped on the trail. While I was on the trail I had someone smash in my passenger window to steal things out of my car. I found it with the window broken when I returned from my walk. The cops were called, a police report was made and while walking around to see if any of my personal property had been scattered around I did see dried egg on the ground as well as eggshells. So in addition to my car being broken into it seems that someone has been up there egging cars as well. Such as shame since the trail is so nice to be on.

Very nice area with wide paths and beautiful scenery to enjoy if you want to get out and walk, run, ride your bike, walk your dog and spend time with yourself, friends, your loved one, or family. They have place to sit or rest along the trails, always clean and kept up. Very enjoyable place to visit!

Path so well planned. Rest stops with swinging benches so wonderful. Pavillion group of picnic tables near entrance clean and great view of nature. Natural vegitation takes your mind off of the length of walk program. More than a physical exercise it is also a mental release while nature controls your thoughts with sights of colors or rarely a deer or nice smell after a gentle breeze.

The City of Wichita Falls did a great job on this place. The right mix of mans landscaping and natures. I have been here many times just to gather my thoughts, take a walk, or take some photos. Unless you listen for it, you soon forget youre in between a fairly busy road and a housing development.

I used to enjoy hiking through here before the paved trail was added and I found many hidden treasures. Although I miss that experience I was stoked when the trail opened finally and it still retains all of its natural beauty. One of my favorite places in town.
