We liked the museum better when it had something for everyone. Not just art. It had a fantastic planetarium, hands on stuff for kids to experiment with and learn. We went every Saturday years ago. Now you have to go to Dallas for something like that...

Really enjoyed this museum. Took about 30 minutes to an hour if you like to read the plaques. Located next to the creek/lake across from the main campus. Beautiful location.

The museum is nice. However Midwestern State University killed 334 geese there on June 13, 2023. They werent able to capture a small number, about 20, who are still there. So if you are coming to see the geese. MSU killed them.

I had a great visit today and even got to meet the curator. I look forward to visiting again soon. It s a great museum on a wonderful campus. If you are in town, you should definitely plan to visit. The new acquisition exhibition was exciting to see. The next planned exhibitions will be worth a trip. Thank you for bringing great art to north Texas.

Ive been going to the Wichita Falls Museum of Art at Midwestern State University from time to time over the years and finally got around to writing a proper review. I should note that I go there for both events hosted with several organizations and to enjoy some art exhibits. The layout of the museum portion is quite impressive, leaving quite a bit more floor space for larger exhibits that dont hang on walls. There are, of course, walls for the hanging arts, including additional exhibit halls. The staff there is also very helpful and friendly too.

Ive been in Texas for few months for military training and with not many things or places to go in Wichita falls, Texas. I was happy to have found this Art museum. The art work on display here is amazing to view. The staff working here was polite and knowledgeable on what artwork they are displaying. The place was clean and well kept and also had great views outside aswell. This museum is one I would gladly recommend for any one to experience. I am definitely returning for second time before I leave Wichita falls, Texas.

Unfriendly staff, has sent in request to close Pokémon go in-game landmarks at the location while players have been very considerate to the owners. Theres a reason the parking lot in front of it is usually empty and its not because of the people playing Pokémon.
