This is my first visit to this chain in about 15 years. My party of three decided to give it a try because of the variety and value they were offering on their Houston Restaurant Week menu. I m glad that we made a reservation because it was packed at 7:30 on a Saturday. The service was excellent although I got the sense that they wanted to turn tables over fairly fast. The food was good although a couple of items were warm vs hot. That s why I gave them a 4. For the price paid I felt like we got a lot of food. We all had leftovers for the next day. I wish that they had more TV s because it seemed like most of us there were interested in the college football games and the viewing angles were limited. I would definitely return to this location.

This restaurant service is never good. Entered the restaurant last night was told it would be a 15 minute wait for a table, I ask the host can I have a booth and a highchair she told me the would extend my waiting time to an additional 15-20. The waiting wasnt the problem once we were settled at the table I ask the waitress for a highchair and was told because Im in a high traffic area that was impossible I was understanding of that, So basically I waited additional time for no reason. Once my family finally got a table we order our food only to have to wait additional time because items was left off my plate. Needless to say the whole experience here was a waste of time.

Very good steak. Service was abysmal. Manager seemed unconcerned about paying $70 for 2 people who essentially ate separately. 1 steak served rare...went back to cook more and was forgotten. I ate my T Bone and finished it before wifes steak came back looking far worse than when it left. Glasses empty for most of the meal. Waited 20 minutes for the check. Waitress told someone else to bring it and she forgot. Comically bad. I couldnt make this up even if I tried. Save your money. Plenty of good options elsewhere. Shocked considering this is owned by Landrys Group.

So myself and my daughters who are 10, 15 & 17 come here often and of all the times this time on my daughters birthdays they had to mess up and have us waiting for our food for almost 2 hours. It was both my 17 y.o. and 15 y.o. bdays....the 26th & 27th. A guy came by after 45 mins and said they had a mess up in the kitchen & our food will be rt out. Went to this restaurant Monday while on vacation and it was amazing! The food was so good and had a great taste. I order a raspberry lemonade and it was very refreshing. So, I just left salt grass and I will never be back. This was the worst meal I have ever had and the most abysmal service. It took over an hour for our order to be taken and then another half hour for the food to arrive and all of the food was cold when it came. My soup was cold. My steak was under cooked and cold. The mashed potatoes were cold and the gravy was even colder. When I complained it was barely received until a manager came over. I ended up returning my meal. As bad as things were I was afraid of what I would get back so I just told them to keep it. But that wasn t all. My son had to wait 15 more minutes for his to arrive. The shrimp was overcooked and only a little warm. Thankfully my mom and sisters meal was ok. The manager said she was sorry and gave my mom a piece of cheese cake. The bill was still almost $90. Shameful! Never was asked if I was Landry select either.

My two year old and I just left after an hour and a half of the worst service I ve ever had. It took 20 minutes for our table to get waters, an hour in we finally got salads. If it hadn t been for the free bread at beginning, my child wouldn t have had food. It seemed like an isolated issue with our server. Other people were getting their food, their servers were friendly and helpful. Ours ignored and avoided us. So I put 1 star for food because I didn t have any. 1 star for service because that s the lowest it goes. And 3 stars for atmosphere because it seemed like an ordinary restaurant outing unless the waitress was nearby. I honestly am not sure if I would go back.

Ive been coming to Saltgrass for 20-plus years. Im not a huge complainer but I think it s worth mentioning. I came to celebrate my birthday yesterday for lunch/dinner. I dont know if it has to do with cutbacks, the economy, or just somebody not paying attention. I dont know how you can cook a ribeye steak medium rare when its only a half-inch thin. It also didn t even have a cap. I wish I had taken a better picture but I felt awkward taking a picture of my food in a restaurant. Whatever the cause, Ive had a lot of ribeye steaks from Saltgrass and this by far has been my worst (steak) experience, and in my opinion, it s no longer worth the inflated $30 price tag for a 12 oz ribeye if this is what I m going to get. Pretty disappointed. I also believe I was not impressed with my previous visit as well (according to my Wife).

Great location! The manager Mr. Dallas is doing an excellent job at making this location the best in the area. The cook doing the Baby Back Ribs has this at a perfectionist level and I highly recommend them and this prime location for dining at Houstons most reasonably priced Steakhouse. Try my favorite Baby Back Ribs with grilled marinated chicken breast, baked potato, salad. 06/15/24 Still providing EXCELLENT service at this location. Molly took my order and made sure everything was prepared as requested and I had everything I needed to make my meal Saltgrass perfect. Ribeye steak was SUPERB! Service was great, food was great.

Food was delicious, however our server Stephanie was not attentive at all. It took her 10 minutes when we first sat down to even approach us and then another 10 min to get drinks and after that she disappeared for 15 mins. Did not check on us once, and our starter salads came at the same time as our meals so felt rushed to eat to make sure my steak wasn t cold. She didn t even bring our meals out and Did not refill our drinks once. This was my fiances and i 3 year anniversary and got terrible service. I wish I could have tipped kitchen though! Had to get take out for mothers days. I arrived at the take out spot and they promptly gave me my food. I left and about 1 minute later they called and stated they forgot to give me the drink. Slightly annoyed i turned around but i was thankful that they called me! I got back to my spot and the young man greeted me and apologized then handed me a free soup and said for your troubles. I ordered a medium filet with a loaded baked potato and a salad (I have been a waiter at saltgrass myself so I know how everything is supposed to work and be etc) the waiter was fine but when I got my food I had gotten Mac and cheese not a baked potato and when I cut open the middle of my steak it was rare, like still cold rare and so I politely told the waiter what was wrong he brought me the baked potato and took my steak to be cooked again, when I got the steak I was asked to cut into it to make sure it was all good, I cut into it and it was obviously still raw like it was almost exactly the same as before and I cut it three times just to make sure and the waiter who brought it to me said I m so sorry and took it back well it s a 6oz steak I had cut it up several times and I thought they would probably just give me a new steak all together well they brought back the steak I had cut up and said they had recooked it I was baffled but I cut it open and it was finally medium and I just didn t care anymore because I was hungry and everyone had already ate there food and we were in a bit of a rush. Not once did a manger come over or anything to apologize because when I was a server I know that as soon as anything was messed up that was the main entree we are supposed to notify our managers and they come over to talk to the customer. I was baffled they gave me the same steak because once it s been on the grill more than once the outside burns and it was definitely burnt. I was not happy at the fact they couldn t get a literal 6oz steak cooked right. TWICE. Not to mention service was super slow and I saw and heard several customers complain about how they haven t had a sever yet or at least get any drink orders. Which is supposed to be taken in the first 45 seconds of them being seated.

Today they did excellent. We had planned the meal time and day. Everything else was serendipitous. Server was good right off. Ordered the Queso as a trial. Fabulous queso will do this again. We decided to split the cajun ribeye. Very good choice, was quite tasty. The side salad and french fries topped it off. after thoroughly enjoying that feast, the manager stopped by and asked if we were enjoying our meal. We responding overwhelmingly, the wife threw in BD and the manager responded with a free desert. Does not get better.

Pats rib eye is what I always order but this one was not seasoned well. My steak was overcooked (well-done vs Med). Both salads I ordered were NOT included in my order. I returned to get the salads & got a dessert for my trouble. By the time I made it back home, the food was cold. NOT the great experience that I am accustomed to.

Steak quality was very poor. Rib-eye steak was very thin. Waiter was nice but overworked. We were sat down and had to wait 10 minutes for our drinks to show up. Had to ask for silverware, salt and pepper. Seemed understaffed.
