They sent me an invoice 6 months later for a case they never worked. I hope they didnt bill the county because thats scamming and those charges were removed from they system in december. They tried to make me guilty of something so they could make some income to their firm and then tried to treat me poorly because they were court appointed stop contacting me

Five stars, if I could give more I would thats how great this law firm is. From the attorney to the legal assistant/paralegal Amanda they were wonderful. Jesse Munguia went above and beyond, and fought so that we could have the best outcome for my case. He means business and dont be fooled he is so caring and listens to his clients but when he steps in the courtroom boy does he bring it! He gets the job done and does not play about his clients. He is aggressive and intelligent, and when youre in the courtroom thats who you need in your corner. I was very impressed. Highly recommend!

Just like another client, we had some medical issues for a week, then we started to follow-up with the office with calls and emails for case update. No return calls or emails. Then this week no answering of the phone when we call. The office started out very helpful then after receiving $5000 and a week of health issues we have no communication with the office. It would be nice to get some money back for services not rendered. We went to the office and had a great conversation with Jesse and his assistant. Come to find out we had not downloaded their clinit phone app and had no iformation on any app that was used by his office. Jesse pulled the app up with all our most of our legal docs already loaded and he showed us how to login and also gave us his personal cell number.This just goes to show sometimes things arent what they seem and just a little commutation helps. By the time we left we added another case for my daughter and the case was started the same day. This was no help,nothing added to the app passed that point and the other case was a flat out S--- show. Amanda at 1st was every sweet until we didnt get the service we paid for and started calling and going to the office to get answers. Most the time they lock the doors. Clear sign I missed from day one. After 2 week of not getting answer and no return calls, I did get a hold of Jesse and he did say he would refund money. I did go pick up a check , but the day he told me to pick it up the door was locked and no one answering the phone. The next day someone new did answer and said she would call me back. She did and I picked up the check that day. This just goes to show sometimes things arent what they seem and just a little commutation helps. By the time we left we added another case for my daughter and the case was started the same day.

Jessie Mungia is a Fraud and will take your money and act as if he dont know you ,He Makes False promises and Did Nothing to help me in My Custody Battle for My Sons . He said I Promise I will Fight for you and got his Money and literally Stopped answering My Calls and in Court Acted as if he didnt even want to Be there . I Havent even Got to See My Sons Because he Failed to tell me details regarding My Case. The fabulous five is my definition for the Munguia Law Firm! All hands were on deck when it came to my case. Jesse is one of the the sweetest persons you ll ever meet. However, when we stepped into the court room, his personality became stronger than steel. I was extremely impressed when it came down to business. . He is Simple, clear as possible. Friendly, one hundred percent people person. Direct, precise and to the point. His staff really held my hand through the whole process. Horrible law firm! Jesse was hired to represent our son. We should have seen the writing on the wall when he could not be bothered to do a client interview to get the basics of the case. What little work was done had to be constantly prodded, and actions that WERE PROMISED were not followed through. Jesse /Amanda would not return calls, cancelled appts, allowed court dates to be postponed without pushing for a new date, etc. Jesse took the easy way out and rolled over for opposing counsel. Then to top it off, Jesse filed for a motion to withdraw claiming non payment when he still has money on his books!!! We will be contacting the Texas State Bar Association.

Bad organization. Do yourself a favor, and go to someone else. Waited 6 months for a court date. No updates from Jesse or anyone at his office. I was afraid for the well-being of my daughter and I filed for an emergency hearing. Every time I call it s always they re in a meeting he will have to give you a call back but guess what? No calls back. Very long story short I fired Jesse on 12/23/22 and on that day was told my retainer difference would be refunded. It has now been 6 months and I still haven t received my refund for the rest of my retainer. Every time I call it s always in a meeting I will have to call you back sometimes I get a call back and sometimes I don t. Sorry excuse for an attorneys office. Save yourself the trouble and go to someone who prioritizes the peace of mind of the client. That does not exist here. Next step will be reporting to the Texas state bar.

I used Munguia Law Firm to assist with a harassment of a debt collector. The debt was over 18 years old and the collector sent a constable to my home to try and collect on the debt or seize my assets. It was a $4400 debt that I had no recollection of. SCAMMERS DO NOT HIRE THIS LAWYER. I recommended this firm to my family member and they completely neglected his case. The case was closed without him being notified and was given completely wrong information by the paralegal Amanda Hernandez. They refused to speak with him after MONTHS of ZERO action. They made false promises about the direction of this case and the paralegal even LIED about what could be done. The last time he spoke with Amanda (the paralegal handling his case) she said the case wasn t over and then he suddenly received a letter in the mail saying the case WAS in fact over. Jesse is a great attorney. He stays busy, so return calls can be a little delayed, but it has never affected my case. Just have your stuff ready to give to him and he gets straight to work. The ladies in his office are kind and have always been helpful. Yes, attorneys cost money and some nickle and dime you to death. I have found that Jesses office uses retainers and further charges to their fullest dollar. His capability arguing in court is outstanding. Raising awareness : Attention public.Just want to share our experience because I know if my son and I hv experienced this others may hv as well. This Attorney is a public defender for my son.court appointed. The office personnel when you call is very rude and disrespectful. Its a lady whom answers. Today she refused to provide me with the court number told me to google it. I informed her of my situation she then hung up and stopped answering the phone. I told her from this point forward our call was going to be recorded because I would like the Attorney as well as clients to know how I was being handled very unprofessional. I also hv a message i provided her when my son first became their client that we prefer phone calls NO EMAILS. SHE STILL SENDS ONLY EMAILS WHICH causes us to sometimes miss court settings or information period. When she sends emails its always a No Reply email..it has attorney name.. With NO CONTACT INFORMATION..NO PHONE NUMBER NO ADDRESS.. NO EMAIL..AND SAYS NO REPLY..and she wouldnt even provide me with the number to the court after i had to go through alot to even get a contact number for the law firm as well because as i stated they send a letterhead with no phone number or address to your email but yet said for me to call the court because I called the office in reference to my son whom is 17 years old whom I hv also told them several times he suffers from some mental issues that is very important to his well being and im trying to make them aware of how to care for us as individuals because its business as well as human anatomy when dealing with general public.So if and when choosing a Attorney..I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this place. THE SAD PART IS PEOPLE ACTUALLY SUFFER GOING TO JAIL BECAUSE OF THINGS LIKE THIS.. MISUNDERSTANDINGS..Miscommunications and they are due to the secretary at his firm. Mr. Manguia was my attorney for my divorce and child custody case. A little over $33,000.00 later and no results what so ever I would highly recommend you avoid this guy like the plague. My case was closed July 15th of last year and this guys firm is blaming COVID 19 that I havent gotten my Court paperwork mailed or faxed to me yet. Not to mention they charge fifteen dollars every time they talk to you on the phone. This guy is lazy. It took four years to close my case for crying out loud. Also, I still cant even pick up my own kids from school because I still 30+k later have no copy of my Court order. Do not use this attorney!! Im serious. Look at these reviews. Worst experience ever! Anytime I call, I never receive a callback or it takes days and that is if I am lucky to even be acknowledged. Nothing this lawyer ever did worked in my favor, it all worked against me. He took hundreds of dollars away from me and I have nothing to show for because of his laziness and the little amount he even care about me personally. I was just a paycheck for him.

The most important thing I can tell you is wow how wrong Jesse proved me! Jesses was a court appointed attorney for me. So after doing my research and talking to someone who used him I was terrified I would lose my case. Not only that then when I met him I was thinking oh no hes too nice for this case.... I need a fighter and he does not appear to be that. Well let me just stay stick by him and he WILL STICK BY YOU!!! Guns a blazing if thats what you want he will too. Please remember he is a lawyer and a realist so he has to give you the best and worst case options but if you say no I want to fight he will do what you want. He fought all the way with me it the week before my trial was to begin got a deal I could not pass up. I would have never chose Jesse on my own but now I would gladly pay for Jesse because he is the type of lawyer you want on your side. For the record he does know criminal law and how to win! I had 3 charges one was a felony and I walk out with one misdemeanor and time served on it. Very pleased with my results and Jesse fighting with me every step of the way. Lastly go meet with him at his office as soon as you can... Show up let the girls in the office know who you are they will be working with you a lot so help make there job as easy as possible.... I love all of them and all the work they did for me so hopefully my review will help you but if it does then at least be a good client if you are then go see them!

It is true they only take your money my issue was never resolve. Never return calls they said my case was close never receive any kind of paper work. I had an appointment with child support services to adjust it. Only to find out they cant do anything cause my case with them is still pending after 2 years of being told it was close. I try calling them again no response. $2000 down the drain not including the days i miss from work to go see them and supposly appear in court which they only had me sign some papers and never appear in front of the judge. Please just do more research before hiring their services.

Finding a Lawyer to represent you can be hard, scary and super expensive. When I went to The Munguia Law Firm I was needing a new lawyer in Ellis county to represent me in a modification of custody that my ex started in Bell County. In the previous county I had already spent 8500 on a high price, widely known lawyer and only got a transfer in counties successfully done. My ex-husband had accused me from drug use, family violence, to child abuse and almost any and everything in between. When I met with Jessie I had not seen my son in 4 months I could hardly explain my situation I was so distraught. He listened very closely he quote me a retainer fee that was more than generously low compared to the $350 and hour attorney I had. He even took payments for that. The whole office was always nice and polite they answer my questions, they contacted me back in a reasonable amount of time they never got annoyed or frustrated. And they always knew who I was when I called, they never make you feel like a guest they treat you like family. Ultimately in one court date Mr. Jesse Munguia was able to get modification denied, abatement of child support denied, the ex lost this summer visitation. Considering that my case was looking considerably grave i.e. lose of custody, loss of visitation, public records of abuse allegations along with drug use accusations (could affect my employment), owing child support, excessive bills for numerous things requested in modification. It was a pure blessing to have been defended and found inculpable in the assertions made in the request for custody modification. Jessie and his Firm presented nothing less than honesty, fairness, and transparency; they were knowledgeable, professional and courteous. I recommend them to everyone and will continue to go to them for my legal needs.

The staff were very nice. However, our phone calls would never get returned. Our adoption was final over a year ago and we still had not received birth certificates to find out that paperwork was never filed by Jesse. We had to drive to Ft. Worth to the courthouse ourselves to get the paperwork to fill out so we could send to Austin to get certificates. All this after there were multiple mistakes in paperwork that had to be filed before the Judge again to be corrected, 4 months after adoption. We called to see about birth certificates on Monday and still have not been called back. So, we just took it into our own hands to get the certificates filed. There were multiple mistakes on paperwork and when we were in court to adopt, the judge was only aware of 1 child to be adopted and we were adopting 2. We were so thankful that she did not make us come back to adopt the 2nd child, she went ahead and did both.

I personally didn t have the best experience. My documents weren t sufficient enough for the police or school, there was lack of communication and when I requested call back for things that I was billed for and had no clue went on I did not receive any type of correspondence. Maybe my case wasn t a major concern since I only paid $2500 up front I just lost all hope it became too depressing

My daughter hired this firm for custody issues. She asked me to go with her to a meeting at Jessies office to prepare for court the following day. I was aprehensive due to her husbands attorneys bad mouthing and total disrespect of Jessie and the profession. We met with Jessie and 10 minutes after hearing what he could do for my grand daughter I was convinced we were led by the hand of God to Jessie. Jessie and his Paralegal are very professional and keep my daughter very informed. There is no Grand Parent rights in Texas but because my daughter told them to keep me in the loop they have been awesome in including me. I read the negative remarks and I strongly disagree with them. NEVER have I seen any tréatment from anyone in this firm but respect and honesty!!! If I call, I get a return call or the receptionist asks me to hold on and Amanda will usually take my call. I have never witnessed anything these 2 people have mentioned. I HAVE witnessed Jessie and Amanda going above and beyond for my grand daughters case. I will stand by Jessie and Amanda anyday, anytime, anywhere!! If anyone needs more info on the work that Jessie or Amanda has done for my grand child and my daughter, call me. Im in the book. You will NOT go wrong trusting and hiring this firm!!

I wanted to inform all that are considering an attorney to highly consider Munguia Law Firm. On June of 2016, I had hired a supposed aggressive, fight for her clients attorney from Corsicana. Not at any time did she meet any expectation nor was she open to what I or my Babies were looking for within my particular divorce/custody case. Instead she reached an agreement with opposing counsel, informing me that the law has changed and this is how the law works and it is best to give a little so you can later get more in return. Being novice to this, I confided with what she was doing. I later come to find out that her interests where not in the best interest of my case; thus I terminated her and contracted with Munguias Law Firm. Since that moment, my case has become Very favorable. We are coming to an end to my case and with all the received changes and Aggressiveness by Mr. Munguia, I am Proud to have him and his staff on my side. I have even gone as far as to Refer many friends and clients of mine to the Munguia Law Firm; among which have informed me of their Satisfaction with their representation. Incredibly unprofessional. Neither the attorney nor his assistant were in the office when I arrived for my appointment. The day of I was called to confirm a different time than Id agreed to. When someone finally was able to confirm the actual appointment time it was over an hour after the initial appointment confirmation phone call. When I arrived in the office the secretary didnt even greet my mother and I and knew nothing of my reason for being there. After 20 minutes I asked if she knew how long until wed be seen her answer came in the form of a shrug of her shoulders saying they were in court. The office was dirty and not well organized and the questionnaire I was asked to fill out felt more like a criminal interrogation than questions pertaining to a divorce and child support and custody. I would not recommend anyone attempt to use this attorney. In fact I would recommend they NOT even think of calling them for anything. It was a complete waste of time.

I came to the Munguia law firm to see if they could help my son and me because the court papers that we currently had were not capable of protecting us from the situations that had been occurring with the coparent. I was truly in fear for our lives. I met with Amanda for the first consultation. She was unbelievably understanding and concerned about us. She explained the process to me and about what they could provide us and how they could help. She was so sweet and so I hired them that day. Amanda told me to send them any documentation that I had that would support our situation. I had 2 years of texts, video recordings, and voice recordings that I had sent them. There was so much that they would have to sort through! I was worried, based off of previous lawyers that I had, that all the things that I had sent them would be overwhelming and they wouldnt go through it all and that all my efforts in the past 2 years would have been unknown to the judge. The morning of my court date came and I met Jesse in front of the court room. He had gone through every text, printed them out, and labeled them according to each specific incident. He had all the voice recordings ready to be heard and every video recording ready to be viewed! My eyes watered when I saw that there was so much effort and true care put into my son and my situation. Before I met Jesse and Amanda, I had gone to multiple police stations, lawyers, and courts trying to get help and my voice was never heard. I truly thought that we would have to be hurt before the courts were capable of helping us. Jesse was able to get us the protection we needed and he helped us to be able to go back to a somewhat normal life. I am so lucky that I came across the Munguia Law Firm and was helped by them!! I would recommend them to anyone. They care about their clients and it definitely showed to me.

I have used this Amazing Lawyer now for going on 7 years with both of my sons. He has always been 100% honest and upfront with me and he is a snake in the court room. He has never mislead me and has always kept me informed.
