The Waco Welcome Center has a great selection of books and childrens activities featuring the area and people from the area. The center is small, so I would discourage large groups. If you are looking for info on attractions, Google is your best option.

The clerks were so nice & did more than just clerk duties. Fond a furry toy black bear, so soft, for 3 yr olds birthday. It had no price on the tag & was missing the neck ribbon. They looked up the price & put a bright red ribbon that had Waco, Texas printed in black on it. The 3 yr old was absolutely mesmerized by her bear & its beautiful red ribbon. She named her new toy Waco! & made me her favorite relative. Thanks everyone for going the extra mile to make a little girls birthday extra special.

Kaitlyn at the gift shop was the sweetest! Being from MN, I was curious about armadillos and she told me all about them including a personal story. She went above and beyond in answering all my weird questions and made my day with her generosity and friendliness!

Quiet and free parking. The lady who served us was very cordial. He offered a pamphlet with a map and several places to visit in Waco. Everything is very organized and you can buy shirts, keychains, and souvenirs of all kinds from Waco and Texas. We bought some items. It was great to see in person a place that I marked on my itinerary when I searched for Waco on Google Maps.

It s a nice tourism center with many different guides and journals that are free. Guides not just for Waco but for a lot of other cities nearby like Dallas, Fort Worth, Grapevine, etc. You can also purchase souvenirs here too. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I took one star off because it s right by the cemetery. RIGHT by it. It s a little creepy but usually you don t have to stay there too long anyway.

I can t say if it is a good place or not since they started yelling at us from the moment we walked. They are not kid friendly and accused us of stealing stickers when the kids were getting brochures. Our school makes a $15,000 four day trip each year with a stop in Waco. I wasn t impressed with the welcome from the visitor center. Update: I received a very nice email response when I sent my concern through the website. I am satisfied that the issue will be handled!
