Excellent food at a great price. They have a permanent structure for the dining room and its air conditioned and very clean. We had the burrito, torta, and the al pastor quesadilla, which also came with beans and rice. The quesadilla is large enough for two people. Be sure to try the aguas Fresca. I had cantaloupe. Delicious. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy entry, no curbs, and chairs around the tables that could be moved for a wheelchair.

We got breakfast burritos to go. They cost $7 each and were very good I really liked the fluffy tortillas and there were plenty of ingredients in it. Not a good choice for dining onsite in the summer, they have a tent and fans but better to get it to go. Food : 5/5

If you live in Waco and you havent tried La Chona, you dont know what you have in town. I live in Fort Worth and I drive all the way there for their delicious and very authentic Mexican food. Ive had, chiles rellenos, mole, sopes, tacos, and even the Semana Santa special food which was nopalitos con tortas de camarón. Eating here is like eating at my moms. That good this place is! Best taquería in Waco without a doubt and the service is always excellent!!! 5

Best breakfast burritos and horchata! Super friendly people and lovely lovely food, a hardworking family and Id drive across the country again for their horchata and breakfast burritos any day. Salsa is delicious, the pain hurts so good and their patio is dog friendly! On a hot day there are a few flies though, so it may be better to order to-go and eat at home if that bothers you!

Had the chicken quesadilla and the torta cubana. Quesadilla was good and the torta is huge and heavy. Both the red and green salsas are good, not too spicy. Went at 11:30 a.m. on a Friday. Was the only customer there. The owner was nice and his customer service is on point. Plenty of seating under a carport. Will be going back to check out other items on the menu.

Taqueria La Chona is now my go-to taco stand in all Waco. Not only is the food delicious(tacos, tortas, quesadillas, breakfast burritos etc.)but the staff are always friendly. Its great to see the owner take so much pride in the quality of food and being able to provide the best experience possible. I have not ate any other tacos in all of Texas, that are as good as the ones in this establishment! Im from California and these tacos remind me so much of the Mexican street food that I ate growing up as a kid. Literally the best. I have came here 4 times in the last week. So like most people, if you pass by it enough times you will eventually stop and so we did on Friday night around 10 PM. It was cold and didnt want to eat on the car so we took it home. For $20 we got 3 brisket tacos, 1 brisket quesadilla, and 1 mexican coke, a must-have, right? The food was still hot when we got home. The red and green sauces were tasty. Hate to say it but, for us both, we didnt taste anything special to set them apart or above other trucks. In the photo of the quesadilla on the truck wall, I thought it would be the same, but it wasnt just meat and cheese. Just not for us.

This place has the best pastor that Ive ever eaten. The hot sauce is fantastic as well. If you like spicy, tell them you want the spicy sauce and you will not be disappointed. The flavor is great and pairs perfectly with the pastor tacos. I cant wait to come back and try more things on the menu! Once I opened my tacos up, they looked so good that I completely forgot to take a picture and I immediately started to dig in. I will be visiting again soon and will try to post some pictures of the food. La Chona lives up to the hype!

My food overall was good! However, the barbocoa was lighter in color than what Im used to. The alpastor was deeeeliiiicious!!! THAT alone is worth going there & back! The pata de puerco was good cold, but warmed up is the way I like it. The large size cuerito tostada was big in size. Just needed crema. The Jarritos were so good & so cold!!! The outdoor seating was perfect!!! Overall, its worth going & going back! Good job La Chona!!!
