Great little hidden gem. When my food arrived, I took my 1st bite and I thought my aunt was cooking in the kitchen. It was so authentic and homemade. The food did tale awhile to come out, but now I understand why. It was homemade and from scratch. I will make it a point to eat there everytime Im in town.

You get a great meal with a lot of food at a great price. I am a big guy and could only eat half of my $8 burrito. It is not normal TexMex but really good. It is not fine dining so dont expect that. It is like being invited into their home and Rufi(na?) is back in the kitchen cooking.

Went for breakfast. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Two breakfast tacos and coffee was ordered. The tortillas tasted homemade. One taco was chorizo, potato and cheese. I enjoyed eating it with the green salsa. The other taco was ground beef, potato and Pico de gallo. That taco was also very tasty. The coffee was ok. The restaurant was very clean. Very limited parking. I will be back when I come through Waco. Dietary restrictions: Let the server know if you have dietary restrictions and they will try to accommodate.

I decided to give 3 stars for the service, the young lady was so nice and attentive and didnt wait too long for food to be ready! i am Mexican and the food wasnt what I expected the food was just ok with no flavor :(. Update to my review 3/20/22: they no longer make great queso! I was served literally Velveeta and Rotel, charged 6 bucks for an oz. Of something I could have made at home cheaper. Thier queso use to be great, so price was kind of worth it. Now they dont care to make it the same. I was told on the phone by manager that yes I was served Velveeta and Rotel. Lower your price if you are going to lower your quality! Queso dip was great! Still feel they over charge, 5.50 for an oz. Rolled tacos are amazing. Kids fries and burger not so much. Staff was super kind.

This is a small, hole in the wall, family run restaurant with authentic Mexican food. No Tex Mex which is refreshing! I haven t tasted Mexican food like this since living in San Diego, and it was very good. We ordered Machaca, chiliquiles, enchiladas, and a sope. All super good, very fresh, and very fulfilling. I wish there were more authentic Mexican restaurants around as it s a major miss in the central Texas market. Tex Mex is not good. Nothing about it is good. If I m going to eat Mexican food, it should be authentic like what this restaurant serves.

We go here everytime we visit Waco. Several housemade salsas and homemade tortillas, served generously, which are absolutely delicious to pair with the meal. This is not a chain restaurant style nor taste, it is really flavorful! The owner greets you and tells you about whats cooking. Super friendly neighborhood family owned place. Excellent Mexican cuisine, note: not Texmex. Enjoy!

Definitely do not recommend this place. We saw this place had amazing reviews and thought we would give it a try! Absolutely disappointed! The food was definitely not worth the price we paid. My daughter wanted cheese enchiladas but they put the green sauce on enchiladas. All of our beans were cold and the waitress acted like she didnt know how to fix it. When we got fresh hot beans they were very bland and had no flavor whatsoever. And my husband got beef fajitas which probably wasnt even enough food for a kids meal. I really wanted to like this place but just couldnt as even though we were the only ones in there the service was terrible! I had to go find her multiple times because we needed something and she was nowhere to be found.

Love this place and have told everyone I know about it. Simple dishes, simple ingredients, great prices. Ive been there 4 times within a few weeks. The carne asada tacos are probably my favorite topped with diced onions and a generous amount of cilantro: simple and tasty. Try their various sauces. The ghost pepper fresh salsa was my favorite. Ill definitely be returning frequently.

Best Mexican food in town in my opinion. It is Authentic, delicious, and a great value. For lunch I usually get a burrito which you can customize the ingredients and last time I was there they were only $5, cant beat it. Eric makes many varied salsas that are amazing and will bring you samples to try. Its not fancy but the food cant be beat and the owner is wonderful and attentive.

I wanted to try a new place for breakfast burritos so we decided to try this place. The only great thing was the size of burritos were HUGE. However i ordered queso with it but the cup was only half full?.. I called to make sure that it was suppsed to be only halfway full and was told yes. Its measured with a different cup then poured into this one.. so that just turned me off. Wont be going back there

Eats: I had a basic breakfast of eggs, beans, potatoes (which is what I wanted!), and it was just that. This might sound negative but I promise its not. Staff: Owner was my waiter, very nice guy, explained to me that they have upwards of a dozen salsas, looking forward to coming back to try them all! Good prices.
