Healthy delicious food. Great concept. It is like chipotle except with Mediterranean food. If you want to get what you order with the shortest wait possible: order inside watch them make it double check that you got what you paid for. If you want steak, go early in the day. They are out of steak from 2 10pm most days. Their website makes it easy to customize your pickup order. However, the employees do not follow your order. I ordered lentils and got rice. I asked for no dressing and got dressing. I asked for double humus and got single humus. I ordered blueberry lavender drink and got no drink. I asked for utensils and did not get them. I ordered two meals and they gave me one. I waited the 15 min from placing the order to pick up. I waited another 15 minutes in the line for pickup window. Then I waited another 3 minutes for them to acknowledge me at the digital pick up window. Then another 5 for them to make the meal they forgot. Inside in person is the only way to get the order right at this Cava.

Unfortunately Im forced to leave a review here because the restaurant is impossible to contact. It is an automated message that rings and then goes to an unidentified voicemail that may or may not actually belong to the restaurant. I tried five times without a response. We have been getting delivery from this location almost weekly for months. In the last three orders we have had missing items and then today a completely wrong order belonging to someone else. Theres no option on the website to report issues with the order or reach out to the restaurant and were unable to call them so we cant ask about our order, let them know that another person also has an incorrect order now since they have our food, or request a refund. Very unfortunate as this was a staple in our dining out.

I ve always loved eating Cava at other locations so I was SO excited to finally have a Cava in Waco. Definitely some of the best food in Waco, plus it is quick and easy, whether sitting down or making a drive-thru order pickup. Also, my fiancé and I were SO incredibly blessed by Ms. Keia, who made our bowls for us. She didn t just have some good customer service, but she made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued! She is a friend to all and such a diligent worker. She made our experience at Cava even more enjoyable and special than normal.

There are no Cavas where I am from, so they are always a treat when I am in Texas. I have been to one in Dallas and this location in Waco. At both locations the food was fresh and excellent, but Cava Waco has one thing I am certain that no others have: KEIA!! If you have been to Cava Waco and had the privilege of being served at the counter/register by Keia, you know what I mean. She is someone with a bubblyness that fills the room! My fiancée and I were soooo blessed to have been served by Keia whether it was warm conversation (the kind where you can tell the person is actually interested), being congratulated on our engagement, or Keia racing back to the cooks to make sure that the next batch of lamb meatballs were finished cooking so that I could have my first choice of protein (I told her I would choose something else but she insisted), Keia just went above and BEYOND to ensure that we had a positive experience. Thank you Keia for being a ROCKSTAR!!

I got the build your own bowel w/ roasted veggies. They have lots of fun options but my veggies were burnt more than roasted unfortunately. Also their tzatziki sauce tastes like straight sour cream. My significant other got the steak and feta wrap and he had a ton of straight fat pieces which is just not our cup of tea. The people are so sweet though and amazing and I am sure if we said something they would have helped but we took it togo and couldn t.

I love cava. The food is absolutely delicious and I will keep coming back. This location was understaffed but those working were trying hard and being a college city, I expect churn is high and the volume of traffic from college kids is a contributing stress factor. Tried CAVA by Baylor University for the first time today and I have to admit, although I was a little skeptical by the end of my meal I was fully satisfied with my entire experience. From the time I walked in I was greeted and welcomed into CAVA. Thats a small thing, but when you have had the day I had it was very welcoming. I went post lunch crowd so at this time there was no line. I looked through the menu and the serve patiently gave me time to make my decision. I ordered the grilled chicken greek pita and as he made my pita he made sure I got it made how I wanted it made. We exchanged pleasantries and he asked me if I would like a drink. I took him up on the offer because they had some interesting flavors I was eyeing at the drink station. I checked out, decided to try the Blueberry Lavender drink (Yummmm!) and sat down to dig in. All I have to say about this food is that it was FRESH, the chicken was delicious and although I am very particular about my tzatziki sauce this was excellent! The black olives, tomatoes, and hummus that we on the pita added to the flavor. The pita was soft and delicious. The post lunch atmosphere was really chill and allowed me time to decompress from an active morning at work. I am sure this place is hectic at lunch time based on the taste of my food and its location near Baylor University. The price was reasonable and I will definitely be back and bring my son next time. Excellent services, excellent food, delicious beverages, and reasonable pricing makes this place a keeper for Waco, Tx. Vegetarian options: If you are trying to make more healthy moves, getting a dish without meat will be just as satisfying as as those with meat. I could have ate that Greek Grilled Chicken pita without meat and still would have rated the food excellent!

Editing 06/23 to say that we have now tried Cava twice since Baylor has been out for summer and it has vastly improved. While we have not tried online ordering again, we were pleased to see several people walk in to pick up their orders and they were ready. Maddison was very sweet and helpful and we are looking forward to eating here again! Waco badly needs fresh food like Cava, but right now the service and quality are lacking. I ordered pick up for my family Sunday evening, 01/21 and got home only to realize we had none of the dressings, hummus, or extra chicken we ordered so we are eating dry salads and wraps. I tried to call the restaurant twice and nobody would answer the phone. I hope that things will improve but this experience was very disappointing.

We went on a Sunday evening just last weekend. They were out of pita bread. No ice! Drinks were running low. Tables hadn t been cleaned. Please don t put out eating utensils in a big open bowl for everyone to touch. And besides there were forks that were not clean. Just put out plastic ware in bags. The employees were less than enthused to be there, and you could tell. Not friendly at all. Lots of banging around that actually made us jump a couple of times. Desperately need an all time cashier. And 2 people on the food line. Our food was sitting there with us in line to pay for it and they just kept making food bowls behind us. It was weird. The place needs an overhaul on management. Kia the Assistant Manager is very condescending and disrespectful to her employees and guests. Aaron was asking for help on the line and she just was standing there. Aaron the champ he is took care of every guest there, visibly flustered, but with a genuine smile. Kia finally hopped on the registered and helped out, but she forgot the ladies dressing in front of me. She then tells Aaron, put the broom and dustpan down and listen to me while waving her hands in the air. The apparent manager says this is the worst day of her life and it s like this every time she works. Multiple different guest situations popped and she handled every single on of them rudely. Great food, great frontline employees! On the other hand Kia terrible management, terrible customer service, and completely disrespectful.

I go here at least three times a week! I just love that this is the healthiest option in Waco. Food is fresh and wonderful. But the real highlight of Cava-Baylor is the team members. Justine is magnificent. Watching her work you can tell how much care and pride she takes in what she does. As a business owner I can truly say she is one of a kind. Love Cava, or did be careful with the build-your-own option, they will overcharge you. I got the BYO pita which comes with one meat. I added meatballs and they charged me for the harissa chicken AND the meatballs! Plus the menu board says it comes with rice or greens but in fact (evidently) it does not. Maybe they work on commission. And when I asked they argued with me about it. Fail. Hard to decipher what comes with what and I ended up with like an $18 pita. Not worth it.

Keia and Tommy were some of the kindest, most intentional employees! I went to lunch during a slower time and they went out of their way to make conversation and know me by name. First time visiting today and my hopes weren t very high since they only have a 3.7 star rating. I quickly understood why. The service was dismal, they were out of chicken and beef, the ice machine was out, 2 soda fountains were out, and the dining room was a mess. We were there for over an hour and not one staff member came out to clean up the dining area. For reference, we came an around 1:30, so after the lunch rush. The manager kept popping out from the back but didn t seem to offer any actual help or guidance to the staff who all seemed completely overwhelmed and unhelpful. When we asked for details on the menu since it was our first time, we got nothing. For example, What s crazy feta? They answered, it s just a dip over there. Thankfully, the food was amazing. We re hoping our next visit is much better.

WORST CAVA EXPERIENCE. Line was about 20 customers deep but not because it was rush hour, but because the serving staff was SO SLOW and indifferent to delivering even average service to the growing line. Very disappointing to see that mgt can t see the need for competent staff at such a popular location. Mediterranean clean-eaters: pack your patience if you stop here on your next pass through Waco.

A friend and I ordered food from here and while he went to pick it up in the drive thru, he was informed that they ran out of chicken and steak. They tried to substitute different items. They also didnt give us anything we really ordered. It just disappointing. What we got in place of what we ordered wasnt good at all. I have had great experiences at other CAVA locations but this location is an utter disappointment. Service is very slow and staff is not very friendly. Restaurant area, food prep and restrooms are not well cleaned. Multiple menu items missing and employees standing around talking instead of helping customers. I LOVE Cava, don t get me wrong. But the service is not that great. The digital drive line takes absolutely forever, whether or not there are other cars in the line. The food is good, but I ve also had several occurrences where I had to substitute my order or ingredients because they ran out and didn t want to cook more. I love Cava, truly, and the food I get is amazing (when I get what I ordered), but they need to work on some things.

HORRIBLE SERVICE! Convenient location right next to campus, which I love but the service is absolutely awful. My pickup online order was supposed to be ready at 1:15pm and I waited 45 minutes in the line at the pickup window before someone even helped me. I would have just left, but I had already paid and because of the layout of the drive thru, I couldnt leave with the cars behind me. When someone finally helped me, they were SO RUDE. I dont expect everyone to be happy and bright-eyed all the time (I have worked customer service, so I understand), but they were flat out rude and disrespectful. Rolling their eyes, giving attitude, genuinely the worst service I have ever received from any restaurant in Waco. I love the food, it is a great and healthy option while on campus, but I do not want to ever go back because of how horrible the experience was. I will tell anyone to avoid this location if they can.

Ive eaten at CAVA 3 times in the past month. The food and hospitality of their staff is outstanding! Its healthy and the portions are super generous. The colors of the ingredients make a beautiful plate or bowl. The juices are all incredible. One of my favorites is the cucumber and mint. I love it!

Online ordering IS NOT THE WAY TO GO. I placed my online order around 12:30 p.m. on a Friday, and the earliest pick-up time was 1:15, which was fine. I arrived to pick up my order, and it was pretty crowded. There were over 30 people in line to place their order, so I walked over to the pick-up shelves and stood for a very long time. It wasn t until an employee in the back kitchen came up to me to ask if I had placed an order online, to which I responded yes and gave her my name. She went back to the kitchen to check and came back to tell me it wasn t ready yet (I had only ordered one item). I stood there waiting for nearly thirty minutes past my pick-up time, and I later found out from the time stamped sticker on my bag that they didn t get started on my order until the employee came out to ask me about my order. I was curious about how the online ordering pick-up process went, so I asked the employee before I left the store and she said that customers should skip the line and walk up to the cashier to tell them that you are there for an online order. The pick-up shelves seem pointless and interrupting the cashier seems impolite to the customer paying for their in-store order. The employee gave me a free drink for the inconvenience. The food was tasty, but I wouldn t choose this location again until the online pick-up issue is solved.

I am a regular at Cava. Usually everything goes smooth but this time was bad. The service was bad from the start as the person making my food had a rude attitude. Then i had to wait for meatballs to be made which was fine i was perfectly okay with waiting so i waited and got my food and was checkout and the checkout the lady was also not in a good mood. I frequent the Waco Cava, and any and every time I have placed a pick-up order rather than ordering in store my order has come out at least 15 minutes after the pickup time I selected on the website. The longest I ve waiting from selected pickup time to delivery in store was 45 minutes. I would greatly prefer if Cavs didn t allow customers to select pickup times they are either completely unwilling or unable to uphold.

The food is great! However, the pickup order experience has some logistical flaws that create confusion and long waits. Online orders are not put on the pickup shelves when ready. Instead, you have to jump in front of customers ordering in person and ask the employee at the register whether they have your food, which is awkward/not intuitive. After that, you stand by the register for 15-20+ minutes and wait. (Last time I waited for more than 30 minutes after my scheduled 12:30 pickup time.) Employees are always friendly but they seem overwhelmed/unsure who should be assisting folks with online orders.
