I usually take my time to take pics but I was so frustrated with this restaurant I wasnt able to. We went through the drive-through only to be told rudely that they were only taking orders in the lobby. Losing money with denying possible customers service...We drove around and went inside to the lobby to order. Once inside the person at the register said they were out of several items. I placed my order and wow was so super expensive! While I waited the icemachine in the lobby didnt work. A couple was trying to get ice cream, and the person at the register just watched as nothing came out of the machine.. she stood their and said nothing to them.. So the ice cream was also out. The workers making the orders seemed to hate working there and made faces every time new customers walked in. I got home with the food and everything was thrown on top of the tenders. This location needs to be retrained on how to run a restaurant. Very Bad experience here. With over 60 million views on my pics posted, I hope the restaurant owners fix this location before more people see this.. I highly suggest going to their competitors instead.

Put and order online and when my order came in it was handed to me at mynfront door ,the so called 5 star which should be nicely placed in my box but they threw it in thers like we are dogs as we put on special introduction not to put hot spices on my food due to my serous stomach illnessthat i have been sufferingfor years and cant have spices,when I opened the box this discussed box of 20 piece family meal that I paid over 50 dollars the just threw it in the box all rolls were smashed and the tender had pepper or Chipotle all over it looked like they just threw lots of it, I took a bite and I called the store, and they were very rude I ended up in the hospital with a flare,I was very sick and stayed in the hospital due to all their awful mistake I was in the trauma very ill was attended in to the hospital on the 15th of this month September and Im still in the hospital very ill,so please dont go there it almost caused my life well God is good and hope that one of them never have this bad experience I did,prayer If I can get ty God bless every one

Dined inside and was the only customer still waited nearly 10 minutes for the food. The sweet tea wasn t sweet and their tables are wobbly, so our drinks spilt all over our food and electronics. Forgot to Give me my gravy I waited another five minutes just to get that as the employees kept walking by to go play on their phone. Not worth the drive across town

Im not sure why when youre the only person in line, you order, and then wait 20 minutes when we were told it will take 5 min to cook some chicken. Then, after 20 minutes, all you get is a Im sorry. Dyke always closes the store around 9:10 pm when she works, even tho the store closes at 10pm. Lazy. Never has good customer service when I go and always gives ugly looks. Definitely need to hire some new workers who aren t always in a rude mood. Would give zero stars if I could.

Food is expensive and sometimes good. The food is sometimes good sized but when they give you small pieces of chicken and charge you without compensation it is ridiculous. Everything is so expensive, the food better be right for the price. this place is a 50/50 chance on drive thru. Going inside the food will be better. They are tight with all their condiments its sad and annoying they dont want to give you extras. On my next visit Ill send pictures. Their 2 piece combo only choice is a dark meat and a wing. For 8.99. If you want a breast instead it .99 more. Then they are out of fried chicken and they wanna sub for roasted. The customer service is non existent. You are not greeted when you walk in; you are stared at like you are in the wrong place. My husband addressed this rude behavior with the guy standing behind the counter. After getting our order, the guy runs outside to catch us because they omitted an item in our bag. Then, He tries to suggest something must be going on between my husband and myself. I guess he is a marriage counselor hiding behind a chicken counter...lol. He said He could feel the tension when we walked in. The only tension was the racial tension felt by us. Then, he wanted to pray for some reason. This was so absurd...lol. This place is very horrible. Hours say 10:30 online and on the store door. They had the door unlocked and we walked in they came rushing to us and saying they aren t open and closed and locked the door. Ordered a large tender family order and was told the tenders had about a 30 minute wait. We then decided to get a regular chicken meal that was over 70$ and waited over 20 minutes just to be told it was gonna be at least another 15 minutes for the regular chicken. when we should have been told it was a bit of a wait for the regular chicken too. When I asked for a refund the manager tried to say it was about to be made. she then tried to charge us for our drinks that we had barely even had a few sips of. Manager could have handled it better. Along with someone telling us in the first place that what we ordered was going to be a bit. Also manager questioned if we really ordered our food because we werent given a receipt.

The new shrimp was Great, they forgot about our order and after 30 minutes I had to ask them and they said they were Sorry, even though they said it would be ready soon it still took another 15 or so minutes and I had to ask them for my money back which they did but as we were leaving the manager told us our food was free and we decided to stay and eat Thats why I gave a 4 in Service but that was the only issue which the manager quickly corrected.

I had the chicken tender salad. The chicken was good, but the salad was terrible. Mostly white lettuce with a little cheese, a little shredded carrots, and a piece of broccoli. I would have been okay with that, but the ranch dressing they offered was AWFUL. It just tasted like mayonnaise. 100% mayo. It was so awful that I just ate the chicken. The staff at this location were wonderful. Also, theres free ice cream and cones. The cones were lying flat on the counter, and it took me 5 mins to get 1/3 of the cones filled up. Do better.

Best chicken sandwich Ive ever had and the sweet tea was perfectly made with crushed ice. Highly recommend going there in Corpus Christi. This was before I worked here and new what I was getting into. Yes the tea is good and made fresh everyday. Update 7/2023- Owner is shady and doesnt keep his word. He hired me and paid me $4 less than what we agreed upon. What a disappointment, he doesnt fix the fryers theyre are 4 but only 2 work. 1 has old grease and food in it from over 3 weeks and the place is super dirty, under the fryers and in the cooler and freezers. Very disorganized and cheap. I wouldnt have come here if Id known what type of person. He was and how he runs his store. Do not recommend to eat here. The people that work there are cool. By the way Im not a disgruntled employee I gladly quit Sunday. I didnt relocate 2 and a half hours for charity and to be cheated by a crook Golden Chick owner.

On 5/19/23 we went thru drive-thru, Cynthia took our order, she was extremely rude but we continued to order - we ordered a family meal and specifically said we wanted all fried, mashed potatoes, fries and fam rice. Upon coming to the window we were greeted rudely, received our food & left . Upon getting home our order was not correct We received half baked/half fried , no mashed potatoes , no fries I called & spoke with Samantha (the mgr ) she gave me two options - to return the same day or at a future date. Which i chose future date (5/23/23) I arrive and Caro (mgr)says that isn t their policy to do that . (Cindy was also working and said robert had already picked up) which he had not . Caro called Samantha to verify and Sam said it was only the chicken which is not what she told me. I left without food . If that isn t your policy your employees need a policy check, I would not have wasted my time and gas to hear that your word was not being honored.

I placed a mobile order for pickup. I walked to the location and the doors were locked. I knocked on the door and a girl finally came to the door and told me only the drive thru was open because they didn t have enough people to work. I told her I walked and I had a mobile order. She allowed me to come inside while she put my order in a bag and handed it to me. First timer. Ordered online for pick-up. Food Catfish and Shrimp was delicious and hot. The Rolls are so good. Yummy. Macaroni with cheese was tasty. Coleslaw also good. My mashed potatoes were a bit on cold side, the gravy was hot so it helped. A side order was missed and 2 rolls on my combo plates. I called and they made it easy to go by at my convenience and apologized for missing my side item and rolls. They should have checked the order before handing it to me, I should have also before leaving. The employees were all nice even though it was busy... line of drive thru was eight cars minimum and inside 5 ppl ordering. Need a realignment for the busy times... a how to handle drive thru and walk ins and who will handle what. All in all good experience. Sadness, ice cream machine not working. Good unsweet tea.

Wow! I placed an order for delivery as I have done several times in the past. After waiting 20 minutes past the supposed completed delivery time I tried calling to check the status. The girl that answered just repeated the same thing to me over and over saying we don t deliver no matter how much I tried to explain. I then spoke with a manager who was very rude to me from the get go. Repeating the same thing about no delivery, then changing it to yes they deliver but through another company. I tried to cancel and the manager began telling the company who was late to deliver, you wanna speak to her because she s arguing with us . I never cussed, raised my voice, or said anything rude I just wanted to cancel the order. Finally the delivery person (third party) was friendly and kind and canceled the order. However I will never go back to this place again and I suggest whoever is in charge over there to check in on the attitude of the manager. Very disappointed!

The service was horrible I waited in line for about 10 minutes to be served.. all I could see was employees on their phones while Im still waiting.. finally somebody gets my order and while Im waiting a couple comes in with the baby and apparently that baby is one of your employees granddaughter so there she is playing with her granddaughter while me and other customers are waiting in line waiting to be served... Well Im waiting for my food I noticed the girl that works the register gave free food to her daughter.. none of my business I suppose. Anyhow when I got my food I went home the chicken was lukewarm and the rolles were all squashed the gravy for the mashed potatoes was cold it was just horrible service... Will I recommend this place probably not ,will I go there again absolutely not. This was your store in corpus Christi Texas off South Padre Island dont know the exact.

Actually doesnt deserve any stars. Ordered 16pc tender family meal. They wanted to charge me for sauce. Chicken was beyond nasty (Would have gotten better flavor from KFC). Only good thing was the rolls, price and free ice cream. I will never come back to this place again.

First time my dinning here (1/7) with my husband and daughter was greeted by a young lady that was in the drive thru area. The young lady Cynthia says on my ticket told the cashier that was in the front that we needed to order he used profanity that we could wait if not we can walk out the door and go else where that was so rude of him ( tall bald guy with a wrist tattoo) my husband told me let me just go sit down any ways the guy cashier walked away from us. The young lady Cynthia apologized to us about his ugly behavior and took our order on her drive thru screen. Please talk to this guy and thank you Cynthia for giving us the good service and smile. I will be calling cooperate about this guys behavior and about this young lady being such a great employee..

I always enjoy eating there. The only problem was I figured they would use gloves to do salads but no. Tonight also we ordered wings and it took 30 minutes to get our food. Never ordering wings again. This was actually the first time that ever happened. Usually its pretty quick.

I went to order dinner in the drive thru bc I am sick and had such a such craving for Golden chick it s my favorite! What ever woman working the drive thru & took my order was EXTREMELY rude and complained she had to take my order she said ugh oh my god when I asked if she can make my tenders spicy. I honestly don t know how someone with such an ugly attitude is working here or in customer service at all. I ended up driving off and refuse to give my money here any longer. I operate my own business and I wouldn t have someone like her employed in my business costing me money.

First time there.. never again. Chicken has excellent texture but no flavor. Rice tasted nasty. Its called dirty rice. I didnt know it was going to taste like dirt. I thought it would be their version of cajun rice judging by the picture. Employees with no name tags, could care less attitude and no sense of urgency or accuracy. No ice cream. If the machine doesnt work at least put a sign on it so someones not there trying to figure out whats wrong. It would have been nice while waiting on the order than coming to a rude disappointment. Tried several times to flag down an employee.. pfff.. to no avail. L-o-n-g wait. I wanted to leave and tell them keep the money. The store has potential but with employees that could care less forget it.

Have to downgrade a star because you all discontinued the zing powder according to the young employee. I also found that the only person with a smile and greeting customers was the cook. Perhaps the front employees should be in the back and vice versa.

I had just left AT&T and decided to try Golden Chick. I have never eaten here before and went thru the drive thru. 1st impression was not good. Glass on menu was all busted up as if someone punched it. Was not greeted very friendly from the person taking orders from the drive thru. I told her to give me a sec because it was my first time eating their chicken and I wanted to look at the menu. I asked do you have any family specials and very rudely said we dont ever have specials I looked at menu to try a family order and thought it was kinda pricey for a 12 piece and 1 SIDE and biscuits for $38.99. SO I DROVE OFF and headed to Bill Millers instead where I can get a 20 piece, fries, bread, jalapeños, mash potatoes n gravy for $29.99.

First off my experience in drive thru by a young lady cashier Cynthia was great from the menu board to the window (5 for her) . Food was good as well tasted just perfect. The one star was because there was ladys being so loud where i can hear the music out the window. Another young lady EATING by the swing door like nothing UN SANITARY!!!!!! This place has gone down hill. This will probably be my last visit here. I drive all the way from kingsville because that location is rowdy as well now this location. Whoever runs this place needs to step there game up ASAP. Please get your employees & management re trained!

The food is just barely fair but the service is lacking. Im fully aware its fast food and service is going to not be up to par but this place has nothing to to offer in the way of service. I felt as if I was bothering the young girl in the drive thru. Only been here twice and both times it was a disaster. There are plenty more places to get chicken in this town.

The order was wrong. I will say the food was fresh. The main reason for the low rating was the woman who took our orders. She was SO RUDE we almost wanted to drive off mid order. She shut the window in our face lultiple times, acted annoyed at every question, and just gave us anything instead of taking the time to listen. It was ridiculous. Makes me never want to go back. ESPECIALLY if shes working.
