Cups Drive Inn has made a lot of Waco history since 1929. This legendary diner is a Clean Plate Award recipient from KWTX-TV, the CBS television network affiliate for the Waco area. Many changes over the years have taken place, but still the owner and staff are committed to a truly great experience for customers. I like their hamburgers because the bun is toasted well, and the burger patty is seasoned and grilled until it is medium well to well done, but still is juicy and not dry. The quality of toppings like pickles and lettuce is also great. All food is made fresh and on an as ordered basis. Their French fries are made from fresh potatoes cut right in the restaurant, that are rinsed in water to wash them and remove starch. Then they are deep fried and prepared like Boardwalk style fries, which are not crispy fries, but have a fairly firm outer shell, and have a soft mashed potato like inside. They are then seasoned with their special French fry seasoning. This style of fries is my favorite. The portion of fries is a reasonable size as well, served in a paper lined basket. Sorry that I have no pictures of my order. I did include, as of this posting, the most recent menu for you to see ahead of time. Definately will be glad to return to Cups when I go to Waco again. You can get a burger and fries at a similar price to a Wendys burger and fries, but get a better value at Cups Drive inn.

Second best burger in Waco in my opinion and a much better burger than you can get in a lot of big cities in Texas. I like the old school dive feeling you get when you eat in. I try to time some of my road trips with their hours so I can get a great lunch.

Lets just say this place is amazing! My husband and I had burgers and breakfast, it all was absolutely delicious! This family owned business is one for the books! They should teach a course on hospitality, they aced it! If you are in Waco, skip the big name places and head straight to Cupps, you wont be disappointed. We will be back!

This is the best burger I have ever had! They dont give you paper thin wafers of beef, like some places. They give you a real patty. I got the double with cheese. I dont know the secret as to why their burgers are so great, but you will not be disappointed. Their fries are really good, too.

This is the best hamburger place in Waco! The French fries are handmade and are the best anywhere! The burgers are grilled; fresh buns are buttered and placed on the grill... so tasty. Steak fingers are excellent...tender, juicy, just right. The family who owns and works here are so nice, meet and remember their customers, and treat everyone in such a welcoming manner. This little place has been a favorite of mine since the 60s! It has been in their family a long time and they take great pride in assuring you enjoy your food from there. We come back each time we can and it is our go to place for all on their menu, especially those burgers, steak fingers, and fries!

As kind of a burger connoisseur across the great state of Texas, this little joint really, really hit the spot. Cupps has been around, serving great food since 1947. Im a sucker for a quaint little spot that serves good food, and Cupps hits the spot! Yeah, the food is great, but sitting there where you can see & hear it being prepared ... thats what really draws me in. Its a little spot that would call me multiple times a week if I lived in Waco. Thats for sure!

Authentic food atlas! The food is made to order. You can see the food made right in front of you because the place is so small. The workers are kind but very busy. It was standing-room only at a non-lunch time we were there with more people showing up to eat. The small place reminds me of the inside of a Waffle House, but even smaller. You put in your order, they get it ready and then pay afterward. The chili was a bit thick but great on a burger. The double meat burgers, a bacon burger, and a kids meal burger were all tried. The drinks come in a can with a cup of ice and the sweet tea was good too. This place is a bit greasy but some might just call it juicy. Either way, the burgers were good. No one in our group liked the fries or the chili cheese French fries. Everyone thought they were fine as in okay but not necessarily good or making you want to eat more. The service was restaurant-style table service if you were seated and had a table. I say if because it was so busy most people got their food delivered to their car or waited for a table. A local from Waco suggested us go to Cupps so evidently its been there a while and was definitely a popular place to be for meals. They close at 3pm so dont expect to come there for dinner. The meal prices with a burger, fries, and a drink are about $11 to $15 per person depending on how big of a burger you want and what you want on it. Kid-friendliness: Offers a larger than usual sized kids meal that would be acceptable for a larger kid ages 10 to 12 years old. If you had 2 smaller kids, I would say to have them share a kids meal because it is plenty to eat. It is a bit noisy there so if a child was a bit disruptive, it would not matter because it is loud in the dining establishment.

Freddie and Sherry have kept their mothers hamburger business going. They use fresh products on a bun and the know how to make it taste great. Its got a family atmosphere and priced just right. Its a small building with stools at the counter and booths its like sitting at the kitchen table at home. Outside seating is available also. Call in and take-out are options. I went there on a Monday about 12. They were extremely busy. Not your typical fast food burger spot. I was behind a customer with 10 burger orders and one with 6. When I did get to order, my food was better than I expected. Staff was great, nice and courteous. Even though there was a wait, I left happy. I will be back and would highly recommend it. Ive been going to Cupps for a long time and they have some of the best burgers Ive ever had. Heck, everything Ive tried from their menu is always delicious. The staff is always super friendly and quick. Theyre always really good about checking on you and making sure your drink is never empty. The place is pretty small so it can get crowded when its busy, but I personally like that old-school diner feel. I also highly recommend trying their Habañero hotsauce if its available. Perfect level of spice and flavor!

First time visiting this legendary Waco burger landmark. We were not disappointed. First, the owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming. We got to hear a little about the history of Cupp s straight from the owner, which was interesting. It s very encouraging to hear about a successful family owned business that s been around for decades. After looking over the menu, we decided to go with what they were famous for. I had the double double basket and the wife had the bacon cheeseburger. We split the fries. All I can say is wow ! The burgers were perfect. The meat was fresh and seasoned just right and cooked to perfection. The veggies were fresh, crisp and tasty. The fries are as good as they get. They re hand made fresh from russet potatoes daily and fried to perfection. You ll gobble them up. Will definitely be a regular at Cupp s from now on. I wish we had tried it sooner. One thing the place is very small with limited seating so you ll do best to avoid the prime lunch hour rush if you can.

Small place, no frills, with extremely nice, hard working folks serving up some top notch cheeseburgers! This place will be my go to in Waco for now on. Loved it. Old school burger tasted amazing. I ll definitely try other menu items next time. If you re nearby, this place is a must. I highly recommend it. Come out and support your local businesses and avoid chains.

Best burger Ive had in quite a while! Very friendly staff and patrons. The onion rings and steak fingers are dredged in mustard giving them an additional depth of flavor.
