A really nice spot to cool off after doing the Magnolia Market & Silo tour and have a bite to eat. They have a robust food court with a lot to choose from, but I chose Whizzbangs. I had the Whiz-pig and it was DEEELISH!! They mix the hamburger and bacon together before cooking it & that made it the best bacon cheeseburger Ive ever had. The only drawback to my meal was the fries were greasy.

It was okay. The food was good but think we wayyyy overpaid for super small portions. I paid $40 for 6 quesabirria tacos - just the tacos and consommé- from Waycool Taco and my husband paid $16 for a small plate from Blazin Asian that didn t fill him up. It s a cool concept, but we expected the prices to be moderate considering it s supposed to be a food court. We will stick to our normal dine in restaurants.

After a day in Waco at the Cameron Park Zoo with our kids and grandkids on a Sunday, we were looking for a place to eat. We decided to give Union Hall a try because there was so much variety in food options. Great choice! The location is downtown and there is some free street parking and a small lot next to Union Hall that is free, but free parking is limited. There are several paid parking lots across the street that charge $3/hour or $10/day, cash only. The Union Hall layout is interesting with rows of food vendors and tables scattered between them. There are some larger seating areas, and we had no trouble finding a table for 5 adults and 2 children at around 2:30 pm. So many choices! Here s a summarized rundown of what we got: Domo Sushi Happy Roll and Shrimp Tempura Armstrong s Bayou Café Jambalaya Pasta Bayou Po boys Alligator Sausage Po boy on French Bread The Village Pizza-ria Village Throwback Pizza and Double Pepperoni Pizza Pupusa Paradise Watermelon Cup Bottom Line, no complaints, the food was great. I recommend you try the alligator sausage po boy if you want something different. The sausage is very good, and it s a well put together sandwich (the crusty French bread was excellent!). The pizza toppings could have been distributed a little better, but that s such a minor thing because the pizza was outstanding! Really no negatives for any of the food and we would get them all again, but why would you when there are so many other choices! If you are in Waco looking for something unique and different with a lot of food options, I highly recommend that you go check out Union Hall. It s worth the stop!

8/24/24 Union hall and union grove are regular stops for us. I miss the shake place and theres no coffee shops anymore, but the variety is really good. The prices are pretty high for some of the items, for example, at the ice cream and cookie dough shop a single scoop of ice cream on a waffle cone cost $7. You pay for the ambiance and the novelty of a food hall, but the flip side is that you can bring a group and everyone can pick what they want. So theres a give and take. Parking is still a big hassle, but I go, and I enjoy it...there are not many places like this! Old review- I highly recommend it!! There is something for everyone. We sampled a few different places and everything was excellent! After stuffing your face go for a walk and stop into the nearby bookshop

There are SO many options to choose from! And they arent typical food court options. Sushi, mac and cheese bowls, pho, seafood, Mexican, tacos, and so many different options. I ate at the seafood crab place, and it was DELICIOUS!!! qas it weird eating a crab bag broil in a food court, yes, but i would def do it again. I choose the mild option, and the flavor is THERE! I am from Maryland, so if its good crab, its good crab. Plenty of space to walk around and plenty of seating.

Nice variety of food options. The food is average and overpriced compared to what you can get from local restaurants in the area. $10 for a small hamburger with no sides and $9.50 for a beer. Comparable to what you find in a mall food court, just more expensive. Best to go to a local restaurant and get better quality food at a better price.

The OG older brother to Woodway s Union Grove, Union Hall is a bigger operation in downtown Waco. It boasts an impressive selection of vendors, including those specializing in Cajun, Cambodian, Thai, sushi, pho, Mexican, burgers, wings, pizza, juices, teas, and edible cookie dough, among others. As befits its size, Union Hall draws plenty of foot traffic though there is enough seating to go around. My wife and I split a barbacoa pupusa plate from Pupusa Paradise and a tamale bowl from Wacool Tacos & Tamales. We then followed that up with iced matchas from Zuke s Tea Bar and chocolate chip cookie dough from Cookie Dough Bliss. The pupusas were thin, crisp, and quite tasty, and the accompanying slaw was wonderfully tangy. The tamale bowl went heavy on the cheese and sauce, but the actual tamales themselves did not disappoint. The teas were refreshing though one was ordered with boba, which they forgot to include. Nothing at Union Hall was terribly expensive ($7 for the pupusa plate and under $5 for a 24 ounce matcha), and the variety makes it hard to pass up. It may not offer the best of anything, but if you want to try several different cuisines in one spot, look no further.

Update: *****This location ha NO AIR CONDITIONING right now DUE TO AN AIR CONDITIONING OUTAGE THROUGH THE ENTIRE BUILDING. And in order to continue making the MOST money they possibly can theyve decided it was NOT a priority to them to post that information online or even so much as on a flyer of the door. It is 100° today and they would rather let people come all the way to their facility with their families to eat before finding out that its hotter inside than it is out. It seems pretty selfish to not let people know some way ahead of time. You could have done it on Facebook or even Google. You could clearly see the air conditioning has been out for days at the very least. They have shock fans blowing in your face in the dining area throughout the entire building. The problem is theyre just blowing extremely hot air from all the different restaurants cooking inside without any type of ventilation into the room! -----We often take our family and friends that come to visit from out of town to Union hall. Theres such a wide variety of food and every single spot has delicious items! Our favorite here is Curry up and Wok This Way. They have the best green curry you have ever been served. Another thing that could be seen as a negative or a positive about Union Hall is that the restaurants that fill all the spots in the food court rotate out pretty much annually. So if you like getting to try new things all the time it would be great for you. I wish they could keep more of the food stations filled and leased out. Currently about half of union hall is empty. But theres still about eight different spots delicious to eat at in there. Also check out the Bloody Marys at the bar location! Excellent customer service there as well

So impossibly hot!! You would be better off eating outside in the Texas heat. Fans around the building are all pointed in the most absurd directions. The manager was so rude when we tried to direction a fan closer to our table. Great restaurants but horrible service from leadership.

The general manager is very unfriendly and unhelpful. The AC is broken and they have fans that just blow hot air around. The general manager also does not let customers point the fan in their direction. Both staff and customers are miserable in the summer heat with no cooling. He is not helpful or nice, probably because the heat in the building is making him and his staff mean.

Great concept! Waco never stops amazing me. Great utilization of an old building with good bones. Parking: The paid lots across the street were a bit of a mystery as to if they were enforced on the weekend

One of the best food halls in East Texas. A great selection and all of them are fantastic and reasonably priced.

Union Hall is a food court type of location. There are multiple food types to choose from. I ordered a catfish Plat with seasoned fries and hush puppies. Definitely an enjoyable meal. Everyone that traveled with was able to order something that they preferred.

We got pizza at Village Pizza and Pho at Pho My. Both places were yummy. The pizza was overflowing with toppings and very crispy. The Pho had an amazing broth which tasted like it had been simmering for days. The perfect soup for when you are feeling under the weather. I would recommend both. My only complaint with Union Hall was that not all of the venders were open. It was disappointing to read online what venders were offered but then get there and see that several were not open. However, the ones that were smelled delicious and had attentive workers.

This place is a nice food court with a lot of choice. But, the food is really over-priced for what it is. They charge for water out of the tap. I guess the whole area is a sort of touristvtrap.
