Jesus H Christ that banana pudding put me in a child like state. I was amazed by the sheer power it held in that tiny little Styrofoam cup. Sweet, silky, smooth just like my ex girl friend when she wanted money. I cant begin to explain or try to comprehend the immense joy I had in the 1.2 seconds it took to finish my 2 orders of this amazing beautiful little snack. It is akin to a cool spring breeze up my little shortie shorts after doing legs at Train Waco. I love this stuff so much, Id give up love for it. My o ly complaint is there isnt enough in a single order. I couldnt bathe my taste buds the way I wanted to with only 2 orders. I want this dessert to engulf my life in a cocoon of ecstacy. Strictly taste I would give a 4/5, but I am comparing that to Dallas BBQ. When you factor in the friendly service and amazing price this place gets a 5/5! We hardly sat down before our food came out fresh and the staff was very welcoming. Not to mention the decor and general vibe was great

Food quality is not the same as back- in-the-day. Served lukewarm, sloppy with soggy bread. Dining in doesn t mean I want it in a to-go box. What I think happened is that they couldnt find a customer with a takeout order that ordered the same thing. I ended up with that order that they kinda just laid on my table and left. Didnt mention it because it was busy, and I hate having to complain. But, how do you correct it if its not brought to your attention? A nice lunch alone to decompress was just, meh! With that being said, its a Waco staple that Ive loved for years. Better luck next time.

We stopped in on the way to San Antonio for dinner. We had our dog with us and at first we were going to sit out on the patio (which is covered and has plenty of seating, and is dog friendly) but when we went inside we were told that we could bring our dog inside with us. Which was really nice because it was so hot outside. Every employee here was extremely kind, helpful, polite--even though it was one hour before closing. The food was tasty and we all enjoyed it. Definitely going to remember this place for whenever were in Waco.

Thank you Viteks for providing us an awesome meal! My daughter was getting married. We needed to feed 40 people for the night before. I called several BBQ restaurants to get quotes out of 4 Viteks was the only one that returned my call and the gentleman apologized for that fact. They promptly put together a quote that was extremely reasonable and that included delivery to Moon River Ranch, a 20 + minute drive. The food arrived on time, hot, they set everything up, and the meal was very good. All of our guests had committed how good the food was and asked to know where it came from. Thank you Viteks for everything. This wedding was stressful enough and to have a excellent meal without worry was wonderful. Absolutely Recommend Viteks BBQ.

The food, atmosphere and staff are 5 star.....the manager stops by our table to check on us every time ... Hes very friendly, goes above and makes sure the food is good and if thereis anythingwe need. I went on a Saturday. I have been there 3 times total. Each time is worse. Im never giving them another chance! Ordering process and line- was confusing and not enough cashiers taking orders. Line backed up. They do NOT care about their customers, at alllllll! Standing room only for ordering and a lady told me to go sit over there and wait for my to go order , and NO CHAIRS, were available..no bench either .....No seating is provided for people waiting, like elderly or women and children, or people who just had knee surgery ( me. ) Not handicapped accessible ! No drive through to make things easier on the customer. :( big no no ! Lets talk about the Bbq. It was ok, plain at best. Nothing great. My son wouldnt even eat his sandwich and spit it out, because of the seasonings used in the BBQ, ( little spicy ) too much black pepper? I know they dont care about customers or handicapped customers. They should be ashamed! Gut pack?? More like - DONT GO BACK!

This place has a great atmosphere. Pleasant staff, very clean and a beautiful outdoor seating area. It was a little chilly the day we visited, but they had a large fire pit going to create the perfect setting. Great BBQ and also have some fun BBQ dishes on their menu, like the Gut Pack, which was delicious. We also had the nachos, brisket, turkey and potato salad. The sides were all great but we really enjoyed the coleslaw, so give it a go!

We went here for dinner at around 7pm. They close at 8pm so we went in expecting the meats to be a little dry. When we got there it was really busy. There s was a line to order but it went by pretty quick. All the tables and booths were taken up luckily one opened up when we were ready to sit. I think this place wants to maximize the amount of people that can dine but all the tables sit 4-8 people or more. Most groups were 2 people so the 2 people would take up an entire booth designed for 6 people or more. I would recommended Viteks to get more 2 people sittings. The food was in fact a little dry but it was still really good. The flavor was great and I know if I return it ll be during the lunch meal and I can have higher expectations on the freshness. I recommend going early since when we went they were almost running out of brisket, they were out of ribs, and green beans. So the earlier the better. The Mac n cheese was amazing though. Everything tasted great. I feel if I went there at 11am it would easily get 5 stars.

This place has an amazing history that pairs well with its food. They serve their world famous Gut Pak all day every day, but you have to try their other meats. This visit was for takeout. Look at the presentation. I can truly say it tastes better than it looks. We both chose the moist brisket and smoked turkey. The mac & cheese was yummy, and the greens were good, Id would have added bacon grease, but that me. I am so happy I didnt order the Gut Pak this time. Im going after their taco plate next. I will be buying bulk meat for the superbowel . Im coming, Vitek!

No wait time between 12-1 on a week day. Easy to order and pick up at the next window. Brisket is awesome with good smoke. Highly recommend the moist cuts if you like that kind. Jalapeño sausage is pretty great. Tender and not tough and was cut for you. Potato salad is a good side. Not too creamy which I think is a good thing. Mac and cheese was better than most I have tried. Has a cheese blend which adds some complexity. Plenty of parking out back. I was in Waco for an event and this place was recommended by a co-worker. The place has been in business since 1915 so you know theyve been consistently good for a while. I tried a bit of everything and still had enough to bring leftovers for the wifey. One of their signature items is called the Gut Pack which comes in a full/half order, I did the 1/2. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious and had a great flavor. The brisket and turkey were both moist and flavorful. The 3 cheese mac and cheese side dish is a must if youre a mac fan. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

Baylor grad 13 came back to reminisce 10 years later. Place is still kicking it and definitely had some decor upgrades from when I was here back in my day got the gut pack, flavor was different from what I remember or maybe my palate has changed, felt to be a little more burnt flavor than I m used to. Great customer service, staff knows the menu well and gives great suggestions. We loved that they have half portions if you are watching what you eat or want to try a bit of everything, we got a full order of Nachos with a sub for Brisket instead of pull pork, chose sour cream, Pico de Gallo and beans on the side (for picky eaters), a half order of the gut pak, a turkey sandwich (the pepper on the bark is spicy so watch out for the kids) all delicious and saucy.

Shocked at all the good reviews. Maybe we stopped in on a bad day. It was Friday, 5:30pm, there were only a few people in the restaurant. I ordered half a pound each of the smoked sausage and the jalapeno sausage with a side of green beans to go. Both sausages where extremely dry, almost not worth eating AND they forgot to even put my green beans in the bag.

Great food for the price. I love the baked potato with brisket. The brisket comes sauced, which I love. It has a nice balance of sweetness and smokiness. The bathrooms are clean and the staff was friendly. My only complaint is that when there are a lot of people the dining room has a terrible tin/echo noise. The acoustics are not good. This place has really gone down hill since last time Ive been there. We ordered to go, paid $16 for the gut buster FULL ORDER and got not even a half order. Also was missing the pork and other toppings for our nachos and called to at least get a refund or something and whoever answered the phone wouldnt reason with us. What a great lunch! Recommended by several co-workers, Viteks did not disappoint! The Gut-Pack has been on my bucket list for nearly 6 weeks and it was savory and delicious! Steadily busy but very efficient. Interesting atmosphere and nice variety of seating options. Definitely stopping by again soon! Parking: Plenty of parking on the side.

Finally came here because someone on IG recommended it. We arrived around 3 pm on a Friday and it wasn t busy. Went for the loaded chopped brisket sandwhich in a bun with sauce for takeout because we were in a rush. Quite disappointed as the meat had no flavour. We could taste the oiliness from the sauce, the pickles and the pepper, but the meat was lacking.

Best sliced brisket sandwich I ve had yet. Can t wait to stop by again. Loved the mac n cheese as well. Nice vibes and atmosphere. 100 years of brisket experience sure shows here. Great spot!

Visiting Waco, Viteks was recommended by a friend. It was excellent! Brisket was perfect the sides were all top notch and the sauce pairs beautifully with the brisket too. Bonus, they are one of the more reasonably priced bbq joints I have visited. I highly recommend when you are in Waco!
