Went to grumpys today there was two of us and we spent $36.00 both paid for drinks plus food. When I was ready to leave I asked for a tea to go and they charged me $2.90 for a second glass ! That means my tea cost $5.80 . I won t be back , if they are going to rip me off!!!!

This place is good. Four out of five people in our party order the chicken fried steak and they all talked about how good it was. Another person had fried shrimp basket and stated that is some great fries shrimp. The food was fresh and hot when served. The frying oil was clean and fresh. They have good lunch specials. The dining area was clean and had a touch of seasonal decor. I am looking forward to coming back and try the shrimp poor boy. Keep up the good work.I highly recommend Gumpy s Meatzzeria

Overpriced & underwhelming. We ordered the Gyros platter. Food was dry with just a dollop of sauce. So I asked for more sauce. They charge $1.75 for one ounce of tatziki. Potatoes were dry too. It was $38.50 for 2 gyro lunches with water. If It wasnt for the water, I would have choked on the dry terrible food.

I m new in town & decided to order from Grumpy s for the first time via the DoorDash App. I had a hard time choosing as everything sounded great, but I settled on the Philly Cheesesteak. This is not something I would typically order at any restaurant, because in my opinion it s hard to find a good Cheesesteak. I was not disappointed in the least. I understood as soon as I saw & tasted it why it was a $15 sandwich. Worth every penny in my opinion. It was huge and overfilled with steak, cheese, and the other toppings. The Cajun fries were even good, and I m not a FF person. Somehow they were still crispy by the time they got to my house. All in all, Grumpy s deserves 5 stars. I just ordered for the 2nd day in a row; however, this time with my husband.

I brought my mom here because we wanted to try out some of the new places here. I got the philly steak which was so good! And I m not much of a meat eater. The bread was airy with just the right amount of toastiness. She got the tacos and she said i I t was just the right amount of food for her and didn t feel heavy and ugly after. We loved it!! We tried a wide variety of food to try it out and nothing disappointed us. The fried mushrooms had great flavor and you could tell they were fresh. Went here for the first time today 2/19/21. I was expecting pizza because the name is meatzzeria as in pizzeria. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and my parents ordered burgers. First off the employees seemed like they didn t want us there. When we received the food my bun was so hot (like it was microwaved) I couldn t even pick up my sandwich. The meat tasted as if some other meat was mixed with it besides beef. Both the burgers tasted off as well. I will never go here again, not happy!!! Paid too much for something that tasted bad!!

place was not clean. everything i ate was obviously not fresh and frozen. bland tasteless burger. frozen French fries. all at a premium price. im astounded how they got the reviews they do. not fresh and mediocre at best and way overpriced. $45 for me and my two kids, one of which was a kids meal, hilariously ridiculous. Gordon Ramsay would TRASH this place.

Sorry to say, Im not impressed. We were really looking forward to trying this place out after reading all the reviews. After we ordered (hubby got the philly, I had the gyros, and the kiddo got the spaghetti), hubby asked to use the restroom. Its located near the kitchen. This is important because, on his way back, he looked for a grill, or a hood, or a fry station. Nada. Just a microwave. He listened for the sound of French fries frying since we both ordered fries. He came to the sad conclusion that nothing was fresh. All microwaved. The fries definitely didnt look or taste like they just came out of the fryer. His philly was definitely not just cooked on a grill. I didnt expect my gyro meat to be fresh, but I did for my fries. Kiddo liked his spaghetti ok, but hes not picky. Sadly, we wont be returning. The young lady behind the counter was very nice, though.

A little pricey for me but my customers with door dash seem to like it... Ive heard they have great food and will try it one day... I try to eat cheap before door dashing so Im not lured in by the intoxicating smells of all the expensive restaurants that I deliver from and spend my earnings lol

Wow! This funky little joint is great! Definitely got our Grumpy on! Burgers can be tricky. I am from Texas and there are a handful of burgers Ive said OMG! This ranks up there in my top 10 burgers ever consumed. Left full and very happy. Will definitely stop here again when I pass through Victoria. Wife got the Gyro. She was very satisfied.

Nice change for Victoria with offerings of Phillys and Gyros. Although their version of Gyros is the first Ive seen with lettuce and feta; not my style. The food is good and the restaurant is clean. Service is a little slow from the kitchen, so plan to be there a while. No refills because of COVID??? They are seemingly one of the few places here that dont do refills. Not the end of the world, just odd. I saw they have a few other Greek offerings, but was told theyre out of season because of their supplier. So I asked rhetorically that they didnt make the spanikopita in house? Truthfully it is so easy to make, just a little time consuming. So its odd that they would order pre-made at a higher cost. Then again maybe its not a hot ticket item?

So good!! They dont skimp on the meat in the gyro which taste fresh and perfectly seasoned. Along with the huge portion of spaghetti which my kids totally demolished. We ate in, and the restaurant was clean and the girl in the front checked to make sure we were taken care of. I cant wait to bring my husband here to try the burgers.

it was mine and my boyfriend s first time coming here. We went inside and the place was nice and clean. the girl taking our order was very sweet. I ordered the falafel and my boyfriend ordered the beef and lamb gyro. both were super delicious!! so glad there is a place where i can get authentic tasting falafel in victoria! thanks so much we will be coming back!!
