The best pizza I have had in Texas! This is a cracker crust, with a nice tart red-sauce, and salty cheese. Top with Peperoni and Canadian Bacon for extra salt and its near perfect - add Mushrooms based on your mood. This cracker crust style of pizza is popular in the mid-west. Ive lived there and fell in love with the best examples. Paints is up there with the best. Ive also lived in New York and Chicago who are proud of their very different styles, but this is to me the perfect pizza. We have only done delivery so far but have done it multiple times. The cinnamon rolsl available on the weekend are yummy.

So 1st time trying this place. Their pizza is northern Yankee style thin crust. Everything appears to be made from scratch on the spot. The texture is definitely different from what Im used to, I like a more doughy crust personally (think Pizza Hut pan crust), but its definitely different. The flavor is a bit on the mild side as far as the sauce goes. Cheese blend is nice, pepperoni has good flavor. Their cinnamon roll is huuuuge! The ambiance is very nice, quiet and pleasant. Lots of good humor in the signage there. Overall, I like the place, but the pizza tastes a bit too far out of the norm for me. If you like thin crust pizza, then this place is definitely the hot ticket!

The pizza was fine, but the service was inexcusably bad. I say it this way, because, the worst service we have ever had just sounds a bit over the top. It began with eye rolling and sighing at us when we walked in. Then, when the girl at the counter handed us our pizza, saying, Here ya go, we said Thank you. We really appreciate it. She replied with a simple, Hmmm. She then abruptly turned around and walked away to the other room. The pizza was hot, but the service was not.

My husband and I travel the US for work. Literally coast to coast. We love pizza and have eaten it in every city we have ever been near lol. Tonight we came across this jewel! The brisket pizza is amazing!! Normally we are traditionalists but opted for new. So very glad we did!! Wow! We also got the Alfredo bake with chicken, yep amazing you guessed it! Went in on a Sunday, visited from out of town. Inside was very slow. Our family was only ones there. Which I loved. But ppl were picking up orders. We ordered the basic large pepperoni pizza. It was so delicious, the sauce ,crust everything was fresh and hot. While waiting for our pizza I ordered a cinnamon roll. This thing was massive. And only $4. Sign said baked fresh daily Friday,Saturday, Sunday. This was one of the most flavorful, rolls I have ever had. The icing one of my favorite parts until I got some of the cinnamon center. The combo was perfect. A gentleman even came in just to order 2 to go. We will definitely be stopping by next time we are in town. The staff was friendly, the restroom was clean, the whole eating area was very clean as well.

I picked up two pizzas from Paints yesterday for dinner, a 16 pepperoni and 16 hawaiian. When I arrived for pickup, everything was clean and the walls are decorated with some good humor! The food was hot, and very good! The pizzas were amazing, the sauce, the cheese, its all done right here. My whole family agrees that it was some great pizza. Plenty for left overs, and even cold its still really amazing. This is probably the best pizza place Ive found in Victoria. The last thing I wanted to mention is the squares cut of the pizza, brings back childhood memories for me when my dad would make pizza and cut it in squares. Thanks yall!

Probably my favorite pizza ever. The Buffalo is great, after eating more than a couple slices it does have a bit of an after taste but its still good(i did start dipping it in bleu cheese or ranch and it was amazing). The Wulf pizza is amazing, no complaints at all. The alfredo is great too.

Nice! Quiet small restaurant. Staff was very friendly. Got a 8-in pizza with several toppings and it was great. Cheese was fresh. Sauce was not overwhelming. All toppings were fresh. One of the best pizzas Ive had in a long time.Cinnamon roll is excellent.

Such a shame! First time we went they were amazing, but the last two times the pizza bowl portions are so small. Like less than the toppings on one slice of pizza. Definitely not worth $10+. Won t be returning- and if you want a pizza bowl, I recommend not eating here!

This is my first visit here. It is in a shopping center off of John Stockbauer sort of across from Parkway but further down. I went early in the evening around 2:30-3:00 pm; was very quiet. I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza to go. It s a bit more expensive then Little Caesar s at $11-12 for one normal size pep. The reason for the five star rating is the pizza is yummy! It tastes very good compared to greasy competitors and certain competitors haven t been up to standard lately. These almost remind me of Mr. Gattis but not quite. They also offer salads, cinnamon rolls, pies, and other varieties of pizza. They do not offer stuffed crust. So even though it s kinda pricy give it a try it tastes good!

Born and raised in Chicago, I am hard to please when it comes to pizza. Paint s Underground could easily be renamed as Paint s Underrated because the pizza is so good. They could easily ask you to pay twice as much and you would still get your money s worth. When ordering be sure to ask for the Italian Sausage. The crust is hand made. The sauce is not too sweet, nor too bitter. It is just right. You get plenty of cheese. Chicagoans will love that they cut their pizza in squares. If I lived in Victoria, this pizza would be my weekly treat. Family owned. Packaging materials are socially conscious.

Amazing that this place - serving some of the best pizza I ve had in Texas - is in Victoria! It s sort of a problem for me that it s not even a mile away because I m tempted to eat there all the time if you get a pizza with a lot of toppings, have them cook the pizza for just a little longer. That s my advice. Also, I would add that the garlic bread is worth trying, even if you don t normally like it. I usually wouldn t order garlic bread, but I often order it at Paint s.

They are 1 for 3. Please note, I did attempt to reach out directly to their email but I did not receive a response back. We had a simply wonderful first take out experience and found what we had missed from home in your shop. We have been back twice since then and been let down. So the first time a blonde female came out from the back and made sure she got our order right and got us out quickly. The salad salad w/ Italian and pizza bowl were delicious. The cheese on the salad and pizza sauce were exactly the Ohio standard we were looking for. Now the next two visits were after the dinner rush and both had a blonde male up front with another male in the back. When we ordered we had to get a different salad because you were out of the salad salad, which is fine if you only have those prepped for the day but would expect the others to be fresh. The lettuce, tomato s, and onions were kinda slimy and didn t appear to have been made that day. We also always have to check we either got dressing and it was the correct one. We had to make a trip back for dressing for one order. Tonight s pizza bowl was completely different and appears to have been microwaved and wasn t run through the oven.

If you want a cheap, sad pizza in a hurry, order from a chain restaurant. If you want pizza that knocks your socks off, go to Paints Underground pizza. It is the best pizza in Victoria. Sept 26, 2020. A friend an I ordered pizza and a salad here. The pizza was really good and the salad was excellent. Oct 10, 2020. Then, the next time around I called in to pace an order and was asked to hold. Meanwhile I proceeded to hold as the employee kept the phone on there person; and I knew this because I could hear them breathing for the next 6 minutes before I hung up. Im an extremely patient person, but this was not working for me. I was trying to get pizza for pick-up before the football game at 2:30pm (I called at 12:15pm), but changed plans in a hurry. I messaged them on FB figuring a manager would answer; and they did. They responded within minutes and apologized and offered to take my order over messenger. They also said they would discuss with employees proper phone etiquette. I truly believe they care, so I think the issue is resolved. Since I had already moved on an changed my plans I thanked them and refused politely. In general I hate ordering by phone and this is one reason why among many others. It may be a while before I visit their restaurant again just because of the hassle. I do like to support small and local businesses, so I say all this because I truly think they care and will grow from this.

First they said 30 minute wait but it took over 40 minutes for a SINGLE calzone. Guest service is always great they just can NEVER have orders out in a timely manner. They must need either a larger location and/or more staff....items being in stock is often an issue...if they get busier or make higher sells whether for just one certain day or a longer period of time, they should always make AMPLE product.

The pizza was quite delicious. Definitely better than any of the chain pizza in the area. My only beef is the wait time. I dont know if they are cooking with an EZ Bake oven or something, but we ordered to pizzas and a cheesy bread, and we waited an hour. For pizza, that is entirely too long of a wait. If they can get that in order, I would gladly change thos to a 5 star. Square cut makes it feel like you get so much more pizza. edit: I dont know if this will be seen, but I totally forgot to put this before. The pricing and the way the menu is set up is a bit ridiculous. Three pizza types, and if you want to make your own pizza, you get one topping, and each other topping is $1.50 extra. I just want a dang supreme pizza, but Im not about to pay $30-35 for one large pizza.

Meh. We had pizza, garlic breadsticks, and a day-old cinnamon roll that was upsold as just as good as fresh (for their sakes, I hope not!) We called ahead and were told to pick up in 30-35 minutes, when we got there our order was next in line. (Its new and it was Saturday, no worries). 15 minutes later our pies were done and we took them home. Strangely, my lap was not delightfully warm on the drive nor did our vehicle smell of pizza. We were underwhelmed when we opened the boxes. Barely melted cheese on barely cooked crust, cut into tiny squares so that 3/4s of the pizza had no way to hold it without cheese fingers. IMO, brick-oven pizza should always have indications (light browning, even char!) of being cooked. Meh temperature, meh smell, meh presentation, meh eatability, meh taste. The garlic cheese sticks were delish though the marinara was COLD which didnt go well with already chilly sticks. The cinnamon roll looked great but taste was meh. The outside was DRY like week old breadcrumbs. The center was decent and gooey and tasty. Glad it only cost me $2. Were planning to give them another shot in a few months once the newness has worn off a bit and they get into a rhythm. Will update review then, if warranted. Staff was super nice, though they didnt offer anything for my extra 15 minutes of wait time. A drink while I waited or my $2 cinnamon roll for free wouldve been a nice gesture.

I love the idea of a new brick oven pizza shop, but maybe Ill give them a little time before trying again... First off, the people were fine - no problem with the staff. The wait is a little long, but even that is not unacceptable if the food is worth it. That is the rub for me... the pizza wasnt my favorite. I didnt personally like the sauce, and that is the base of it all. If the sauce isnt good, then the toppings cant make up for that. I will try them again in the future, but not too soon.

We decided on pizza for dinner today and decided to try Paints Underground Pizza. Soooo glad we did! Hand made pizza that is full of flavor. We ordered the Cousin Joes (pepperoni, olives and banana peppers), chhese and the Buffalo Chicken. Thin crust was great! We ended up having enough to take home and it was good cold! It is my new favorite pizza place in town!

We found this place after a friend recommended it. We loved the pizzas we got! They were hand tossed with a very crispy crust. The kids liked the pepperoni and we had several meats with jalapeño and mushrooms. It was a hit - we ll definitely be back. The location isn t in a place you would expect to find a restaurant here in Victoria so I hope people find out about them. The girl at the counter was extremely friendly and the place looked neat and clean. I can t say more about it since we carried out this time.

High quality pizza, reasonable price! Crust is perfect, variety of toppings, the sauce is amazing, and I love, love, LOVE the fact that the pizza has CHEESE-PULL!!!
