Tammy did my nails. Although she did an ok job and seemed nice she had an attitude. I have learned you are your best advocate and I will always ask for what I need and what is best for me. She had my nails sitting in acetone for over 10 mins. I am very cautious of this as the acetone will deteriorate your natural nails. I let mine grow and dont get tips done and have had other nail salons in Victoria let my hands soak in acetone where a HOLE will form in the middle of my nail. Therefore, after 10 mins, I removed my hand from the bowl and told her that I dont soak them too long because they will harm my natural nail. She said yes sone if your nail will come off. What!!! No that shouldnt happen!!! I usually get cotton on top, which, in my opinionis best. She lied and said here in Victoria we dont do cotton on top. I said Ive gone to other nail salons in VICTORIA that will do that. 2nd strike, she said my nails are too weak to shape and will do that after dipping. Yet she wanted me to leave my nails in acetone longer. 3rd strike was that she does not use a base powder for dipping. That is key in preventing your NATURAL nails from breaking. I usually get 2 base coats (powder) before dipping. She looked at me like I was crazy asking for that and she said she doesnt do that just the base coat polish. I said ok. She filed my nails and then used the same base coat #2 for my top coat. At this point I just wanted to leave. I should have asked why but was wanting to leave and never go back. Then when checking out I asked if the amount was with the 20% off. She said she didnt charge for nail removal and shape. I get her not charging for shape but you will seeiously charge to remove my previous powder set!? Then after leaving, one of my nails has some white marks that wont come off. When you know better you do better.... and unfortunately, this nail salon isnt it and I will not return. Requested style: I requested a short stiletto nail shape. Tammy said she would try and did an ok job.

Will not go there again. One person started my nails and another finished them. I was moved to another person so that she could do a pedicure. I asked and was told that everyone there did pedicures. What was reason to take my technician. Was it that I was the only black person there and that I am not valued as a customer. Will Not go back there and they dont deserve 1 star.

The atmosphere here is very nice, everyone is welcoming and kind. But the set I got yesterday looks good from the front but from all other angles looks very weird. The acrylic was laid very thin and the nail tips they use are very curved so if you get any kind of length or shape besides square they come out super curved and talon like. I was charged 70$ for these because of the length mind you I had gotten my nails done here 4 weeks ago twice as long and they were the same price. I posted another set I got that were also 70$ and you can see they re way longer & French tip. I don t think this set was worth 70$ at all.

i honestly recommend this place if you are looking for quality and comfort. i didnt manage to get the name of the lady who did my nails, but she was AMAZING. she made me very comfortable on my first visit and she gave me EXACTLY what i wanted. my nails are smooth and straight. she was very intricate and made sure they looked PERFECT before i left. very great place, i will definitely be coming here again!

The first time I had gel on my nails and didnt last 1 day without chipping. I went back the next day and they re-did it for me but the guy was in a rush and clearly annoyed he had to fix them. Two weeks ago I had my nails and my toes done, they were working on me two at the time but the girl doing my nails was in a rush that she glued one of the nails so crocked it was bad. I told her and all she said was yeah and instead of fixing it right there she took more than 10 minutes trying to fix it at the end. I was getting frustrated and irritated and she ripped of the nail and did it again in 2 minutes. I will never go back there and waste my time and money.

I went there this evening and was a little disappointed. They gentleman was very rushed and was more concerned about the people waiting than focusing on doing my nails. The length and shape are ok and mostly uniform but the color is sloppy and uneven. I will be here over the next couple of months for work and was hoping to find a good nail place.

After careful research and reading tons of reviews from many salons, I was convinced this would be the best place for my son and I to go get our manicures. From the reviews and pictures they really looked like they did excellent work. My son and I drove almost an hour and a half to get to them, because I wanted to make sure we go to the best salon, and, I have to say, I was very impressed and very happy I chose them. Everyone there is so nice and the woman doing my nails was so gentle. My son was also just as happy with his results. This was the best experience Ive ever had getting a manicure. I will definitely make this my regular stop. I highly recommend Nails by Lee.

This is specifically a review of Tony Nguyen, the manager or boss of the salon. I had a 5:00 appointment for a mani/pedi. I waited some 30 minutes or so before I was placed in a chair with my feet in the water for my pedicure. I again waited another 30 minutes before the pedicure began. I wanted a deluxe pedicure, but was told there was not enough time because they were short- handed, so i had a regular pedicure. The technician who did the pedicure is great. Then, another wait of about 20 minutes for the manicure. Tony is who did this. I sat down and he pulled out the polish to begin painting. I told him to wait...I was getting a manicure. He said that for gel polish, he paints them first. I told him that made no sense and asked how he would trim the cuticles. He again said he would do it after and that everyone was different. I was unhappy and told him I was not having a good experience. He responded with, ok. Long story short, I was charged for a manicure and got a polish job because it was late and he was in an hurry. On top of that, it is the worst nail polish job Ive ever had. The edges are rough and uneven. I could have done a better job myself. Also, I didnt get out of there until 8:00. I know it may be hard to believe, but true. Ive heard good things about the women techs. I know Nancy and both Tracys are good. Beware Tony, the man in charge, who feeds you a line and does what he wants with bad results.

Tony does an awesome job on my nails.....they stay on better than any other place that I have had them done. Also the other male nail tech there does the best pedicure I have ever had. I dont have much experience with the girls so cannot really give an opinion. Basically, like so many nail shops they are rude, talk across the clients to each other in Vietnamese while they are working; and speak very poor English....but thats a small price to pay for decent nails. They are also a little more expensive than the other places in town.
