I travel for work all the time and this is hands down the best hotel I ve ever stayed at. Super clean and great staff. Their social hour is amazing and that is because of the hostess Lisa.This woman is a machine. She greets everyone who comes in and no matter how busy she gets always super nice. I hope her company realizes what an absolute treasure of an employee they have. It s hard to find someone these days willing to work that hard and still be full of joy. As I said all the staff is great but she stands head and shoulders above the rest.

I cant say enough about the Manager Lori (I apologize if I didnt spell your name correctly) the staff at this establishment was Amazing. My husband and I stayed 4 nights due to an emergency at our home. This was our 1st time staying at this Hotel and it was not disappointing at all. Homewood Suites by Hilton will be my Go-To Always. Thank You. Job well Done.

We loved our extended stay at Homewood! My husband had a work trip and we stayed here for 2 weeks. The breakfast and dinners made by Miss Lisa were phenomenal! We loved everything she cooked and she was so personable and sweet. We were sad to say goodbye to her. Most of the hotel staff was very friendly. Housekeeping would always say hello and deliver anything we needed to the room. I needed help from maintenance and couple of times and he was very fast and helpful as well. They were even sweet enough to give my pup a little doggie bag! Location was very close to target, Walmart, mall, other stores and restaurants.

Prior to booking this hotel, I selected this hotel based off of the layout (Suite different rooms) and location from my research. I m from Louisiana and I m a true Marriott fan but this hotel was an amazing it was a short stay. My Pros/Cons are below, as I did a real review, so some things may be fluff to you, but overall i would recommend this hotel over any other hotel, it s a 10/10 for me!!!! Upon arrival, the check in host Anna requested my identification and check me and my family in very smoothly. She explained about breakfast and the elevator, typical information but important details. The suite was big/roomy and nice with recently upgrades including USB docks. The first con would be, no smart TV was at the hotel, but the had several cable channels. This hotel has a nice spacious dining area and a cool backdrop by the elevator for pics!! The hotel also had meeting rooms, i noticed as i went to the laundry. Then it was time to check out i asked for a bandaid as my 5 yr old got a scratch, and not first aid kit or bandages were available for purchase, i figured a hospital would have the basic but that s wasn t a deal breaker at all (im just shocked if someone really needed medical supplies it s not available; i was at a major refinery so we talk and do a lot of safety things including giving us one of the car). Overall, I will book at this hotel again if I m in the area, no hesitation and being transparent I m a loyal member of another chain brand but I needed/prefer a suite and I m not a fan of the Hilton but this stay changed my perspective and I will now keep an open mind. Again Anna (a staff member) was very accommodating with getting me change for the laundry, getting me any additional room key, as well as helping my son get a basketball to shoot some hoops and we checked out some board game for family game night. She was the friendly staff member there during my stay. Pros - USB power charger (not the new iPhone 15 inputs but i always carry a charger block) - Free WiFi - The area is located close to the Mall, groceries store (Target/Walmart/Sam s) - The lawn is well maintained and the hotel general areas were clean. However, my kids said they smelled that dogs were in the building. - The rooms and bathroom were clean and spacious. We had a queen double bed suite and it was very roomy for my family of 4. - Nice breakfast selections and spacious dining area - The fitness room was accommodating as well as the laundry room. The fitness room had very modern equipment including ropes, hand weights, balls, mats and weights machines as well as ellipticals, treadmills, and other riding equipment with a tv in the room. - The laundry room had two washers and two dryers, and the front desk has quarters available. - They have a pool and basketball court, we didn t get to the pool, but seen it from the room. It was a decent size. - Family Games can be checked out and they have a good/nice selection of games. - They have a small snack bar/drink selection available for everyone (hint hint)! Cons - No digital key - No smart TV - Only one TX waffle maker for the amount of people staying there is insane but i wish they had at least two waffle makers. I waited at least 10 mins to make one waffle. It was a pretty cool waffle in the space of TX. Just a note! - No first aid kit available or general bandages is crazy to me, but i come from a safety environment (i had some in my car, so again it wasn t a deal breaker). Overall again i would recommend this hotel over any other hotel, it s a 10/10 for me!!!! I need to let people know how horrible experience I had while we stayed at Homewood Suite by Hilton at Victoria, TX. They gave me the room which was under construction. I was so shocked so my kids were waiting me at the 3rd floor hallway, I came down and explained the situation but instead of apology, one of the front desk receptionist said Just give another room, looking at me indifferent. They don t really care about the customers who visit there. I can t believe I am paying for this stay. Unbelievably horrible experience I had at this hotel, Homewood Suite by Hilton at Victoria.

Was our first of many trips to the city. Arrived to dirty linens and bathroom. Specifically, the sheets when we rolled back the top comforter. We asked for new sheets and changed it ourselves since our toddler was already asleep in the crib. There was also mold in and around the bathtub. We d expect some mold or dirt with any aged hotel but what we saw could be remediated by regular cleaning. We checked out the next morning, 3 days early and went to another hotel. The staffer was going to get a manager to talk to us when we were leaving but the manager never came out of their office or wanted to talk. I left my number with the staffer as instructed and days later, no call. Just added to the disappointment.

I have business in Victoria which requires a monthly trip. This Homewood Suites has become my favorite place to stay. Older reviews are probably not that positive, but I have to say the recent change in ownership and investment in the property is really paying off. They are still upgrading, but we stayed in a newly remodeled room this weekend and it was very nice. All the exercise equipment in the workout room has been changed out and upgraded, it is 10X better than just six months ago. Breakfast, always complimentary, is always a cut above with fresh egg dishes and plenty of variety. The Staff is consistently friendly and helpful. Granted, I am a Hiton Gold Honors member, but I dont really believe that is why the staff is so friendly. I honestly think they are nice people and are proud of the recent positive changes in the property. If you havent stayed there in a while, give a try and I think youll be pleasantly surprised.

I visit Victoria about once every 4-6 weeks and stay with Hilton or Marriott for the rewards and comfort. I had not stayed at Homewood for a while and wanted something with a kitchen since my grandkids (1 is 8 months) were going to visit. I reserved a 2 queen suite and checked in the day before my arrival. I get there and the place is a dump with construction going on all over and they tell me they have downgraded me to a king studio for only $10 less. I m already running late so there s no time to relocate or dispute but the women at the front desk didn t care much anyway or apologize for the inconvenience. Just said that was all they had and that I d have a newly remodeled room. I get to my floor and the room numbers are written on masking tape and my newly remodeled bathroom had pubic hairs on the floor. After the way the front desk handled my downgrade I wasn t going to complain to them, it would be a waste of time. The stay was super unpleasant. Picked up my grandkids and we were crowded in this room until my son picked them up while there was a party going on full swing in the bar area at 2 a.m. explains the downgrade but I d reserved a week prior and pre-paid! Breakfast- skipped it, wasn t sure what was in those chafing dishes. Worst stay at a hotel in a while but definitely worst stay at a Hilton ever. Will skip Homewood Suites (suites, very funny) or Hiltons. In general in Victoria Tx, from here on out. Safety: Boxes, trash bags and equipment all over the place. Women s panties in the hallway at 2:00 AM-Gross

Changed rooms midweek due to construction that I wasn t aware about on website. My chair looked like it had been through hell and back. There s remodeling boxes and stuff all through the hotel. Broken glass and trash from the big outside dumpster across the parking lot. New room was full of plaster/paint on dishes, plaster on windows, counters, tv. All drawers full of dust from sanding. For a newly remodeled room it was rushed, and not even close to clean. All that and some stuff was rusty and disgusting, and don t have all proper utensils or dishes to use for a home cooked meal.

Kitchen staff great. Some of the desk staff are not handling the current remodel well and do not expect your wishes about room access during the remodel to be respected. They gave a range of dates for room access which extended beyond my departure date but still chose to toss stuff in my room to put a new couch in a room on top of disgusting carpet. No business center. No benefits as honors member.

Room had a funny smell upon entry. I believe it was from food in the garbage disposal. But aside from that everything was great. I ran hot water and let the disposal run a minute and odor was gone within minutes. Receptionist was polite and sweet. Something very fishy about reviews and how this place is staying as a Hilton. Probably a main revenue for town so codes dept looking the other way. Just look at how many 1 and 2 star reviews if you search for the just low reviews. They are the REAL ones! Filthiest hotel I have ever stayed at and lady at front desk threatened to kick me and another older couple out that came to front desk to complain! Yelled at us in front of whole lobby of people! I have never been treated that way ever by any desk person. She also just ignored guests and hung out at bar with the men workers living there. I have pictures showing buildup of filth around toilet base, stained carpet and furniture I would not sit on or walk on without socks, multiple holes in walls, peeling wallpaper, a burned up microwave, etc. Honestly what I would expect at a druggie motel! Would have left, but all rooms always sold out in this town in the middle of nowhere Texas and they knew it! She threatened us that if she made us leave there would be nowhere better to go. The only option left is a Marriott with similar complaints. All hotels in town supposedly owned by same group and they dont care! Selling them off as they are losing their big names. Lots of men workers there long term getting drunk nightly are probably their only good reviews. One regular man even really scared me asking what room I was in, etc.! Female traveling alone on business should keep driving past this town! Go to Canton or Athens. My 3rd bad experience in this town. Drove further and stayed at a Best Western in small town that was well maintained and had a professional staff that somebody recommended. I usually only do Hilton or Marriott type, but management and ownership can make a big difference!

The room was as expected. There was nothing amazing about it, but it was clean. The receptionist was very friendly and answered any questions we had. What has me contemplating not going back was the breakfast. We are usually in town due to softball tournaments, so having a good breakfast is a must. Saturdays breakfast was horrible, the eggs were bland. The sausage they had was NOT breakfast sausage (it was the sausage you cooked for bbqs), the potatoes were soggy, and there were no biscuits of any sort. Sunday was only better because they had fresh baked muffins.... I may go somewhere else next time due to the not so appetizing breakfast.

I have been staying here pretty much since the hotel first opened. Used to be a good stay but the last two times I have had a bad experience since the bar has been put in. I do not drink alcoholic beverages and asked for a soft drink but I was told you have to buy soft drinks while beer and wine are free. I requested a room on top floor but when I arrived at 3:30 p.m. she told me no top floor rooms were available without even checking. Carpets in rooms were stained and dirty. We listened to noise from room above us and beside us until 11:00 p.m. and starting again at 4:30 a.m. This hotel is probably only able to stay in business because of the oil field workers because it is definitely not family or single female friendly. I hope that Hilton Hotels Group will come and check and see they do not want this hotel to be associated with their company. It is definitely not up to the standards that I have come to expect as a Hilton Honors diamond member. I definitely will not be back! Rooms: Not well maintained as carpets have multiple stains. Food and drinks: If you drink beer and wine they are free but if you ask for a coca-cola you are told it will be $3.00. Noteworthy details: Staff is not friendly at all. Actually very rude! It is a shame that a formerly great hotel is more like what you would expect at a Motel 6.

The room was fine, and as expected for what we paid. The staff however were extremely unprofessional and not helpful. My husband has been a Hilton Diamond Member for about 4 years, and we have stayed at many different Hilton Hotels. I ve never had such a bad customer service experience. When we arrived we had to wait to check in somewhere between 7-10 minutes because there was nobody at the desk. Finally an attendant named Lexi came to the desk, and was very cold and appeared to want to be anywhere but at her job. My husband and I got in the elevator and began to discuss how we had never had such a cold experience checking into a hotel, especially as a Hilton Diamond Member. Then the following day I was trying to get into my room after breakfast and my key would not work. No big deal. I walk back down to the desk, and again stand there for 5+ minutes. While standing there I notice at the front desk there is a vape sitting out. I take a picture, and grab the General Manager s card off the desk to send an email about the terrible service and unprofessional behavior. Finally after waiting, I walk back INTO the staff offices and say, hello???? As I am looking through the door I can see that there is a camera watching the front desk where someone should have been able to see I am standing there waiting. Mind you, I am also very obviously 8 months pregnant. When the attendant finally does come out I realize that this is the General Manager, Lori, and there probably isn t a point in sending that email. She grabs the vape off the desk and throws it into the desk drawer as if I am not going to notice. All in all, we will never stay here again and don t recommend you stay here either.

First room was dirty and the restroom had not been cleaned. there were pubic hair all over the floor. Also, some of the appliances in the room had out of order signs posted on them. Second room, carpet was filthy and had multiple stains. Walls and door were dirty along with the base boards. The rooms need to be deep cleaned and walls need new paint.

The room was OK it was clean, but lacking in amenities. The pool was disgusting. Dash had not been cleaned in quite some time for spring break. The breakfast was awful. The food was not replenished we sat there for 30 minutes waiting on my food, and about five minutes before they closed. I asked the lady if she s going to bring out anything else. She said that there was no more food and they were closing and she would not help me. I will not be staying here again.

The kind bedroom suite and bathtub are very lackluster. I am a Hilton fan. Loyalty member and just booked for Hilton Vegas and this was equivalent to a microtel inn. No fresh coffee available for guests anytime nor visible to treat yourself to coffee. The supposed gift/snack shop is no special anything to use as a tool to make this stay more appealing. This isnt a staff issue but corporate it seems. Or pure laziness. I will never know nor do I care but this was a disappointment. Overslept and was charged for another day and kicked out within 10min. First I need to say Texas is a very beautiful and clean state. The people are very friendly. To the point: very dirty! I asked twice to have the Spuge that had run down the wall next to the bed cleaned off. Was the pool was going to be cleaned so my grandchildren could swim. The response was I ll let them know the filth on top of the refrigerator was disgusting and they did not clean the bathroom sink as they left us the old used soap in the dish. Wallpaper peeling off the walls and the ceiling tiles were very stain from I m guessing water leaks. The good part was the staff was friendly and the room was affordable the breakfast was OK I have stayed at many Hilton s and will continue to do so just not this one ever again!

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I checked in on July 2nd, 2022. I waited at the front desk for quite awhile until the helper looked up from her phone in the back office. She was incredibly rude, insulted me, and made me CRY. She was not accommodating in any way,. The room was filthy (mind you, I stay at this hotel VERY often for work and have spent thousands of dollars here.) I requested a new room (not upgraded, just a clean room) when I went to the front desk to retrieve my new room key, the lady stuck her arm out, didnt even look at me, and handed me my key. When I checked out, I sent an email to the AM and the Regional Manager, and did not receive a response for a week. I sent a follow up email, and still no response. Room was excellent, location is excellent. But I must tell you, MAKE SURE YOU GET A RECEIPT. and if you are checking in with a party good luck. This hotel staff and even the corporate staff have completely failed. A very long story short. We ( my wife and I) were unfortunately at the hotel for a funeral, we had a group rate of 75$ a night. We checked in and were given a handicap room ( which we did not request). We figured this was all they had left, and continued on. The next morning my wife left to the funeral church service while I was getting ready, a housekeeper walks in. And I called out multiple times thinking it was my wife. Finally after the third time the house keeper replies, apologizing and just leaving. About a minute later I get a call from the front desk. Asking did we change rooms in the middle of the night? No we did not. We have been in this room all night. We go to check out. My wife informs them what happened and they said they would fix it. We had no time to wait as we had to go to to the burial of her family member. Later that day we see multiple charges, first one was we found out was just the temporary hold, one was the actual charge and another was a random $200+ charge. We called immediately and were told we CHANGED ROOMS to a suite . Which we did not. (Check the cameras) we disputed this and they forwarded us to the managers number. She did not answer so we left a voicemail. They next day we had no response. So we called again. Now the story changed to we actually got TWO ROOMS. One being a suite and one being a regular room. Which once again, we did not. So they forwarded us to the manager again. Once again no answer. The next day, no one reaches out again. We call AGAIN. Now it changes back to the old story. That we checked into another room in the middle of the night. We Disputed again, The Manager just left but is turning right around to assist you which was a lie. Saturday finally we get the response. Well no manager is in on the weekend. We stated to her weve been trying since Wednesday. Oh well the manager has been on vacation since Tuesday and no one knew about it. Monday we call again. And lo and behold! Sent to the managers number again. And what do you know. She doesnt answer. We left a voicemail. Stating we were taking this to corporate. NOW the corporate is having issues as well. After a lengthy call they said they admitted there were many discrepancies from the hotels information. And would get back to us after the investigation. And now I just received an email stating they have no record of our stay. ( Funny how they can charge us still for both a suite at 97.27 and a regular room at 89.27 but cant see it) so I sent a lengthy email about that as well. As an FYI for anyone looking to stay here. I wouldnt, but if you must ABSOLUTELY do NOT check in with Lexie, who was the one who checked us in, and recieved the majority of our calls. And repeatedly lied to us or misled us. If I could give you her last name I would. TERRIBLE. I never review negative or positive but this has just been so ridiculous. Good luck to anyone who attempts to stay here. We just decided to dispute it with our CC Company.

The hotel was great. It s priced a little higher than surrounding hotels but trust me, it s well worth the money. The rooms are spacious and updated, the breakfast is great, and the in hotel bar is a great addition. I highly recommend it.

We were actually supposed to stay at a different hotel that we booked with Expedia, but the hotel was under construction, of which Expedia neglected to inform us of. So I called this Hilton hotel and the lady at the front desk said that they did have a room with 2 queen beds and a walk-in shower I was needing, so I booked it. After getting to the hotel, checking in, getting to the room and unpacked, we noticed that the bathroom didn t have a walk-in shower. So I went down to the front desk. As I passed the by the end of the bar area, I noticed the bartender was just looking at me as I went by and to the front desk. He was still watching me as I continued to wait at the desk for someone to come, but since no one was coming, I rang the bell. and that is when the bartender welled out NO ! and he began to laugh! At that point the lady from the front desk came out from the bar, where she had evidently been the whole time I was waiting to speak with someone. As she came out from the bar, she was laughing about what the bartender had done! I explained what the problem was with the bathroom was and she argumentatively said that I had only asked for a double queen bedroom with a handicapped accessible bathtub.She said all there rooms come with a handicapped accessible bathroom. She also said that only a couple of rooms have walk-in showers and they are taken and there was nothing she could do! She was very rude, argumentative, and full of attitude as I told her I would speak with the manager in the morning, of which I did with little trouble! This is my second experience with staying at a Hilton yand I have it say, it has little to be desired of!

Every year we go and every other year they would have gotten 5 stars. However, this year the toilet paper was cheap trash & tore at the smallest touch. On top of that, they added a bar in the lobby and posted NO BYOB signs out on the back patio so apparently theyve decided that we have to get our drinks from their bar if we want to drink outside of our rooms. SMH Weve been coming as a huge group of family for years (all together about 10 -15 rooms every year for about 20 years) and this change was NOT communicated to us at all prior to our arrival or we wouldve switched hotels, yes, even after all this time! Every year we sit out there as a family and everyone who wants to drink brings their own and we have our reunion and fellowship for 3 days. Guess we might have to change hotels now after all these years.

On April 19, 2022, despite checking in (via HH app the previous day) and even calling ahead, my two nights reservation (made 10 days earlier) was canceled without notice. The reason: the guest occupying the room decided to stay longer. Moreover, they asked me to move to the hotel next door which is not part of the Hilton family and knowing that there were other two other Hilton properties around the corner. The front desk made little to no efforts assisting me I had to ask them to call around and secure a room for me, no costs compensation offered for the more expensive room located. I have been a Hilton Honors member for over 15 years, staying in properties all over the world, never have I encountered such level incompetence and lack of professionalism. Simply unacceptable.

The rooms are very spacious and comfortable to stay in. Some rooms also come with a living room area. It was a very well stay. The employees are respectful to guests. Breakfast is 7-10. This hotel also has a pool and a basketball hoop to shoot. But from my stay Id say the rooms are the best part. The Breakfast is also nice and warm.

I work several times a year in Victoria and this is probably the best hotel in Victoria. Unfortunately no one took wearing a mask seriously but this seems prevalent in all of Victoria. As for the hotel they have added a nice bar in the lobby which adds to a nice hotel already.

The room was clean was kinda shocked that for the two days there they allowed and unfortunately the same trash left out in the hall.Also they didnt clean our room for the two days we stayed.Staff was extremely nice and helpful.The outside sitting area on your way to the pool was never cleaned actually filthy.If I was going to Victoria again this place would not be my choice! Hate to trash a business but you would expect a hotel in this chain to be cleaned and regularly.
