Wonderful people work here! Great drinks and food. But BEWARE they don t stay open until 2pm like it says. They close at the bar managers or whoever s discretion. Several out of town people have also complained about this to me.

Never in my life experienced such rude service. Very unwelcoming if it s your first time. I m not sure if she s always this way but the bartender was just extremely dry and rude. Went there because of reviews but did not experience what others said. I will avoid this place and tell anyone I can to do the same.

Order a burger To go. Had 2 bites and spit them both out. I can t even begin to describe how terrible it was. That was hands down the most disgusting food I have ever attempted to eat. What a complete waste of $13. It s actually infuriating someone had the audacity to pass that off as food.

Im disappointed! As I am here from the state of Florida where it is not a problem having an 8-year-old in an establishment for some adult beverages while the child has some food, normally its all right when a child is not sitting at the bar! But to be rejected with my son from this establishment while in from out of town is just unbelievable... I cant get a drink in this town while having my son travel with us!

We came from out of town for a funeral, which happened to take place on my birthday, so my parents wanted to take me out for lunch. My absolute favorite food is a bombass burger. You can call me basic, but I call it American. Being a Sunday, nearly every place we picked out was closed so we kept going down the list and came to Brown Bag Saloon with great reviews. The atmosphere Definitely felt more bar, and less bar and grill. But still, didnt feel inappropriate for my 3 youngsters to accompany for lunch. The good: The burgers were AMAZING. and portions were generous. We ordered 3 burger baskets, and a sampler appetizer and it was more than plenty for myself, 2 parents, 14,13 and 9 year old. Every Texan knows how important a good side of ranch is dipping, pouring, drinking ... And they did not disappoint with their made-in-house sauce. The fries were also cut from fresh and delivered the perfect amount of mush/al dente combination every carbaholic looks for in a good French fry. The bad: The prices reflected online were incorrect and the current menu featured higher prices than anticipated. Soft drinks were uncharacteristically high being over $3 for a soda. And we were charged a service fee of $7 which was not noted in the fine print on the menu. Guessing it was a charge for not ordering alcohol??? So Im hoping the waitress got that as her tip, because we refused to get charged $7 on a $50 tab and then pay an additional tip on top. That was unexpected. All in all. Not a bad establishment. Would love to stop in on a Friday night and see what they have to offer along the lines of drinks and a good time.

Pathetic place. Took a 78 year old in the bar and some punk guy shoves him to the ground. Nothing happened and turns out the bar tender was his son. He even tried to tell us to quit talking about it. I have never seen a place try to cover up a 40 something year old shove a 78 year old Vietnam vet to the ground. I wouldn t recommend this place to anyone.

I was told by a friend to come here for a good local bar with good food and cold drinks. I was not disappointed. I came here on the night the Houston Astros were playing in the World Series, so the place was packed and people were there to watch the game. I found the one spot left at the bar and sat down. Once the bar tenders warmed up, they were super friendly. I ordered fried pickles and the Cowboy burger. Sheesh, that burger was down right amazing! It was huge, had a great flavor, and had everything you are looking for in a burger. This is a cool spot to go mingle with the locals and the food is fantastic.

This is one of the best burgers in Victoria Texas hands down, you will not be disappointed and/or go hungry. I had a cowboy burger and added jalapeños. All the flavors of the burger just come together with a flavorful taste. Those fresh cut fries are on point. I highly recommend the cowboy Burger at the Brown bag saloon in Victoria Texas

The Philly cheese steak was absolutely delicious and that s the only reason for 4 stars. We didn t get any utensils with our food and the service wasn t that great. The card machine is outdated and doesn t take Apple pay (With foreign bank) or any foreign card while I ve never had any problems anywhere in Texas with my foreign/Apple pay method.

Yeah, its a local dive bar. Its clean, the bartender is a little surly. The hamburgers are very good. Theres a few pool tables. Some fights can be expected, usually settled in house. Politically correctness is frowned upon. Be polite. Dont discuss politics. Tip well, and youll be welcomed back like part of a disfunctional family. Vegetarian options: No. Parking: Plentiful and easy to access. Kid-friendliness: Not a place for children.

Visiting Victoria TX and looking for a place to get a drink and some food near our hotel. This was right down the street so decided to stop in. Wasnt expecting much when I walked in but both the bartender and the lady serving our table were extremely friendly and very attentive. My girlfriend and I both ordered food and her club sandwich was delicious and my french dip sandwich was really good. We both absolutely loved the fries. Would definitely go back!

Had lunch here for the first time ever. The burger was delicious and juicy. The fried pickles were good - not over breaded - and served with ranch. The wings were on fire - tangy buffalo spicy hot - drenched in sauce. Need extra napkins for those for sure! Would absolutely eat here again.

Review of their food I was told the cowboy burger would take 20 mins. Took 35mins. I dont think they were lazy I just think theyre understaffed but they were extremely friendly. Burger was dry, burnt, and unappetizing imo. Fries were okay. Would not recommend. Whataburger is better and cheaper.
