Atmosphere was great, very accommodating! We had Sadie as our server, and definitely she made the night. Wontons were great, and they gave my kids a dough ball to stretch and play with until the dishes came out.I thought the food was lacking in the slightest, chicken had that old aftertaste, and other chicken dishes (bao, and dumplings) were drenched in sesame oil but not much other flavor. I partially believe I could ve ordered better, so I will definitely be going back mostly because of Sadie, the atmosphere, and my curiosity.

The food here is usually amazing. Ive been a total of eight times and have only had one bad experience...although the whole experience wasnt bad. I just got served some bad food which was quickly handled by the manager. I would recommend this place although the quality has went down slightly since the first time I went 1 year ago.

They saved the nite for me...rushed in right before closing with a special request for broth only as my son was at the hospital awaiting surgery the next morning with a strict liquid diet only and the cafeteria was closed and he was craving broth so badly. Not only were they able to do so quickly at the last minute but it seriously was the most delicious tasting ever. Cant wait to actually visit and experience it dining in. Thank you so very much.

The ambience isn t bad. You ll get good food at times. But when it s bad, it s bad. I ve witnessed how they handle their blocks of frozen chicken. There is potential here. But I ve shunned this place, when it was originally a Tyler favorite. I just was disappointed with my experience, the food, and when I witnessed their improper handling of their freezer burnt blocks of chicken, I stopped going. My girlfriend still went when she was in town. But the last time she got sick from the food. And they charged auto gratuity for a party of 5 (2 of those beings children in high chairs). I m in the industry. Personally, I would go spend 50+ (For myself) and leave a generous tip, even for a to go order. But after her getting sick, what I ve witnessed, and the surprise of an auto gratuity .. there s nothing I can say to management that will change how they operate. So it s not bad, when it s good. But when it s bad I genuinely do hope it gets better. It could be a great spot. But the standards and certain practices are truly concerning. I d bet my life savings that if y all walked in that kitchen, you d never step in this building again. When they start getting people sick, I feel I need to let people know.

My family and I have been here a few times & never been disappointed. The portions are big & we feel we get more than enough food for the price. Servers are on top of getting refills, giving recommendations when we are deciding between different options and appear to enjoy working there. The orange chicken with fried rice (my go to dish) is one of the best I ve had. Overall, never been disappointed & it is why it is one of the main places we will go to eat out

Actually authentic Chinese food. Very happy with this place in Tyler. Service was good. Pricing is decent. I like that you can t smell cleaning agents like other restaurants around town. Seats are far apart enough. I ve been waiting for a decent noodle and dumpling place like this in Tyler for so long! Everything made in-house by Chinese chefs including the hand-pulled noodles. You can see them through the kitchen. The Xiao Long Bao and pan-fried pork bao are good. The steamed pork buns are good too, but the meat could be better but the buns and flavor of the meat are good. Also had the Beijing noodles which was nice. The noodles are hand-pulled, chewy, and delicious. The flavor could be better too but pretty decent. I would definitely recommend any of the baos. Will need to return for the other noodle dishes! I can t wait!

I discovered Noodles and Dumplings with my son about 4 months ago. We go every week for lunch. No waiting, wonderful waiters, absolutely delectable food. We have literally made it a crusade to try everything at least once. E are saving the soups until it s cold outside. Our favorite appetizers are egg rolls, the shrimp tempura (wish they had a larger option of this as a main dish), wontons stuffed with cream cheese etc., octopus balls. The only Bao s I didn t care for was the chocolate (too bitter) and the pudding one. Our favorite dishes are the rest. This place is amazing! The noodles are made right in front of you and they are so much better fresh made. The food is fresh made, the temperatures for the food are right on (hot for hot and cold for cold). The restaurant feels cool to me but I prefer to be cool rather than hot while eating so just for you dinners that get cold, just bring a sweater. We always leave with leftovers and we are full. Please everyone please try them out and leave a review. I really want this restaurant to stay so I can keep eating here.

Love the food! We went on a Monday and the two servers were swamped but were incredible under pressure. However, the kitchen could be heard passive aggressively hitting their food ready bell non-stop. It was horribly distracting and ruined the ambiance. The kitchen staff was also seen laughing about how they were stressing the staff out with ringing the bell. So disappointing because I want to like this place. If you ve ever worked in a restaurant you know the stress of greeting tables and taking orders while hearing that bell. It was giving me serious stressful flashbacks and I don t want to think about that while trying to enjoy my dinner.

I don t even like ramen and their hand pulled noodles have me ordering it every now and again. I would recommend eating in vs to go. I feel like the to go boxes almost steam some of the items and takes away from how good they are, but that s no fault of the facility. I ordered the Braised Beef Noodle Soup online to go. The beef is 10 stars. Hand pulled noodles is excellent but on the fence weather its too thick compared to pho. Use to sprouts but it was good. Didn t want to pay $1.99 for it. Would of liked some hot sauce. Would of liked a microwave safe bowl and lid, but that s just me. Not sure how to eat it. I chopped up the beef and noodles but going back and forth from chopsticks to spoon. I prefer a spoon because you get all the different flavors in one spoonful. Never got notification it was ready but waiting for me when I came in when it was supposed to be ready. It was 3pm, not busy, was it sitting there? But a solid soup.

I personally ordered the Combo Xiao Long Bao because I had been really wanting some due it being a while since I have had any. The texture was pretty plain and bland, I was hoping for a little more flavor within each bao and expected it to feel softer, they werent rock solid by any means, but also not how they should be, at least from what I have had before. Overall a decent, and depending on the person, a good meal and restaurant but I left wanting and expecting more, part of the risk of being a chain establishment I guess.

First time trying this place and will not come back due to the rude service from the Manager Eric. My sister was on the phone and heard how rude he was talking to me. The Bao was good also ordered Chicken Japanese Fried Rice. The chicken was white, slimey, and unseasoned. I literally took one bite of the rice and chicken and the waitress watched me asked how I liked it and explained I didn t like it. She took it back and came back stating they couldn t take it off but could take 50% off and offer a dessert. Waitress came back and asked was I ready for the dessert I said sure. She then comes back with the receipt while eating the dessert that I ll have to pay full price for the rice and they took the dessert off. Which that wasn t told to me! I told her I must have misunderstood her because that s not what she said the waitress says sorry and walks off. She comes back ready to swipe and I ask for the manager. He comes and states there s nothing he can do about the rice and how it s apart of there policy with no refunds. I told him I got that but the waitress didn t explain it right with half off the rice and free dessert that I never asked for. He still tells me nothing he can do about it, it s their policy. I still stress to him how there should be better communication amongst the waitress s. He decides to go back to the 50% off THEN says we won t be doing this again with you anymore the next time you come back I told him there won t be a next time. This will be my first and last time.

The image speaks volumes on its own; regrettably, our recent experience at Noodles and Dumplings left much to be desired. During our visit this week, we were disheartened to discover a lengthy black hair in our ramen soup. Previously, I ve enthusiastically recommended this restaurant to friends and family. However, following this incident, my enthusiasm is gone. Despite being frequent patrons, visiting at least once every two weeks since its opening, this incident has led us to reconsider our patronage. Not only does this pose a significant sanitary concern, but the handling of the situation by management was also less than satisfactory. Upon picking up our $60 food order, my husband witnessed one of the cooks, typically responsible for dough preparation, asleep with arms spread out on the food preparation platform. While I sympathize with fatigue, particularly as a parent of a newborn, this scene unfolded on a surface where food is prepared, raising further concerns. However, what troubled me more was the unmistakable hair discovered in my husbands soup upon opening it, prompting him to discard it immediately. Consequently, we felt uncomfortable consuming any items from our order questioning the sanitation, particularly with young children to consider. Subsequently, I contacted the restaurant to report the incident and inquire about a refund. The managers request for photo evidence to be texted to him upon my call left me feeling doubted and further distressed as I had to scramble through the trash hoping we could get a picture. Although the manager acknowledged the presence of the hair after receiving the picture via text message and offered an apology, he claimed inability to process a refund due to their system constraints, which I found unacceptable given the circumstances. While initially agreeing to a refund for the soup alone, it felt inadequate given the broader sanitation concerns; the entire order had to be discarded, leaving us without dinner. Ultimately, no reimbursement was issued due to their inability to resolve it within their system. When he realized that he wasn t able to accommodate a refund for the item, he offered a complimentary replacement soup for my husband, an offer I found unsatisfactory. In my view, a more appropriate resolution would have entailed comprehensive compensation for the entire order considering the broader concerns regarding sanitation of the food entirely, rather than a mere mention at the counter of a replacement soup. Given these circumstances, its doubtful well return anytime soon, if at all.

This was our first time at Noddles & Dumplings and to be honest, I am struggling with the review. I ll cut right to the facts. The food is 5 star. Handmade to order bao, dumplings and real ramen noodles. We had Curry Noodles with chicken and Long Bao with chicken. The table service was great as well. The struggle here is seating and initial service. It is a long wait although there were tables available during our entire wait which was 20 mins or more. The wait did not improve all during the time we dined. To be fair, we arrived at about 12:45 on a Sunday. We will visit again as the food is excellent, just plan on a wait to be seated.

I used to go there to have spicy ramen with some chili spices. You can tell the soup looks red. But today when I was there there was no chili at all. The soup was all white when I asked for spicy garlic ramen. When I asked manager about it why it is different this time he said he can either bring chili sauce for $1.50 or he can take it back. That was really rude. This Hispanic looking manager needs to know how to provide good service. I go to Japan time to time and i eat spicy ramen there too. I know what spicy ramen is. But he was telling me that white looking ramen is spicy ramen. Never going back there again until that manager no longer works there.

We split the veggie egg rolls (not pictured) and the veggie bao. For our entrees, I had the Singapore Noodles combo and my wife had General Tao with Shrimp. Now for the review. BEST oriental food weve had in Tyler. Fantastic flavor, HUGE portions, and great atmosphere. Hand pulled noodles were *chef kiss*. Highly Recommend. Bring your appetite. HUGE PORTIONS.

IMAGINE THE GERMS/UNSANITARY. - current food handler cards are non existence - Eric Edgar is the manager and will talk about every guest in a negative way. -The cooks are amazing and do a wonerful job (awesome)

Was looking forward to trying this place after a number of ppl talked ab how good it was. But very annoyed at the fact that the hostess was never at the front desk. Walked in to nobody greeting or giving direction stood by the sign that said wait to be seated only to discover the hostess that was not there was supposed to take your name so lost my spot in the line. The hostess was not good at here job at all kept watching her and noticed she was not able to do more that a single task at a time and any task she did she did slowly! The waiter wasnt bad but also wasnt good. Had to ask for multiple thing that should have been a given. My plate came out a good 15 minutes b4 my dates so that was annoying. My noodles had so much liquid I was basically eating soup off a plate at the end and was also very messy. The beef and onions boa was a big let down little taste they shouldservewith hot mustardor something. All the prices are on the high end for what you got. Only good thing I can say is my date really enjoyed the curry noodles when they finally showed up!

Its really good and an excellent portion size. Recently though I tried the thai green curry which has far exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere here is great and I could chill here all day. PS last time I got the sweet red bean bao the dumplings all had little pig faces on them! Very cute! I highly recomment this place, its definetly one of the best restraunts in tyler.

This place is definitely a gem! For starters, the noodles are pulled in house (you can actually watch!) and everything is so fresh. I finally got to try takoyaki and loved it! I went with a group, so we ordered a variety of different dishes to try. The noodles, egg rolls, fried rice, curries, bao buns, etc., were all fantastic. I want to try some other dishes the next time I m there, which there will definitely be a next time. Our server, Bridgette, was as sweet as can be and welcomed any questions we had and explained how some things worked, like dishes might come out separately, based on cook time, so everything is fresh at the table and nothing is sitting and waiting. The dining area is big and extremely well lit, which actually made it feel warmer and more relaxed and inviting. My favorite part was the adorable piggy red bean bao buns! This place will become another must visit the next time I m in Tyler! Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating to picky 7-yr-olds, lol

We also had noodle bowls that were outstanding. Heavy on the cilantro (and I like cilantro)but still good. Next time will ask them to take it down by half or a third. They have curry and other dishes as well. The fried rice and wontons were unlike any I have ever tasted before. It is so good I may never be able to eat fried rice or wontons anywhere else.
