I love Jimmys egg! Individually owned decent priced breakfast that never disappoints. Todays server was Andre and he was amazing! So many leave only negative posts. My opinion is this place is much better than their rating. See for yourself! Food

I have to start off by saying that the portion size of our meal was AMAZING! My husband ordered the chicken fried steak meal and he couldnt even finish it! Lol I ordered the BLT and it was buttery to perfection. I have never had a BLT such as this The taste of the food and the portion size were perfect! The manager (Anna) came up to our table and spoke with us. She had us smiling and laughing This was our first time eating here and we will DEFINITELY be back The atmosphere was so calm and inviting. I have recommended this place to so many of our friends and family 10 out of 10

Honestly Im always here, the food is great but since Jessica left the management just isnt on par. Plus the server I have had around 3 separate times is absolutely terrible. I believe his name is Andre and not only does he have no personality, he makes mistakes each time, literally does not give refills and drops the check midway through the meal. I seen Jessica constantly on the floor doing what she did best and now i see nobody and have had numerous friends decide to stop eating there and move on to other establishments just because of poor management, time management and food accuracy.

We go every Sunday but it depends of the waitress you get. Some are sure better then others. This morning waitress was terrible. Got 1 cup of coffee and food,left the check and didnt even offer more coffee or anything. Felt like hurry up and get out. New waitstaff if terrible

Ate lunch at Jimmys the steak-and gravy as well as the broccoli was terribly over salted. Asked to speak to the manager and the young lady who we spoke to was more interested in lecturing us about how they season their food. Then addressing the problem. Teach your cooks why there are salt shakers on the tables.

When the food is good, it is great. Unfortunately, that is only about 50% of the time. The rest of the time, the order is either completely wrong or just nasty. This weekend was the worst experience I have ever had. The server was a mess. It took several attempts for the kitchen to get the orders right and they still managed to make a complete mess of it. Wife ordered a skillet and a side of potatoes. The skillet came without any potatoes and the potatoes on the side. She offered to just mix them in herself but that was not acceptable in their mind. They took her entire meal back to the kitchen to remake it. 10 minutes later, her skillet came back out. Still no side of potatoes. I ordered their griddle combo with cinnamon french toast and ham. The ham is the skimpiest piece of ham that I have ever paid for. I cannot think of a single place in Wichita that sticks it to you so badly on meat portions. I also ordered a side of hashbrowns that never showed up. By then, I was exhausted and there was no point in trying to get it corrected. The bigger issue is that all of the food was bland and flavorless. They did not season anything. We eat at JE on a semi regular basis including at least once for the last 3 weekends. At this point, with the service and spotty food, I am no longer willing to risk my dollars for subpar breakfast.

Overall great breakfast. We had the traditional breakfast as well the chicken fried steak and eggs, both really good. The baileys coffee was fantastic but the Bloody Mary we would not recommend. We are from out of town and this was our first time at Jimmy s Egg. Brianna was phenomenal as our waitress. The restaurant was busy and she never seemed rushed but was extremely friendly and attentive. It felt more like breakfast with a friend than breakfast at a busy diner. 10 out of 10 would recommend and we will definitely be back!

Main dining room looks so comfortable but I wouldnt know because I was put in the overflow seating even though there were multiple empty tables open in the main room. Hostess needs a little training! Food seemed very boxed/frozen, but maybe I didnt get what theyre specialties are. Also the coffee was nothing special, however our server, Victoria, made the visit so much better! Shes worth asking for as your waitress

Great place to eat. It s hit or miss on availability to get a table sometimes it could be 30-45 minutes sometimes it could be 5-10 minutes. The food is worth the wait. 2/11/2024 11:45am This was my first time visiting a Jimmy s Egg, having driven past dozens during my travels. The lady that greeted me seemed a little cold and machine like, and the girl that seated me seemed the same. However, I didn t let that bother me as Twyla was my server and seemed more pleasant. The atmosphere was not as muted as a Denny s and I attribute that to harder surfaces that were more tuned to a diner/cafe environment. No carpeted or cloth surface s to absorb noise, which also helps to not absorb liquids or create areas to stain. Basically, it makes for better cleanliness. The menu didn t have anything that I would bring to attention. I selected a simple menu item Two eggs, two bacon strips, a sausage patty, and two pancakes. The food came promptly, despite the place being busy for a Sunday. Overall, it s a great place to eat, and I couldn t find a reason for someone to be disappointed. If you have some loud types or crying kids in the place, then it could be a problem, as it would be an echo chamber. A great visit and good food!

Decent breakfast food. Quality is not bad but we can tell it s still fast food. Our eggs were done perfectly over easy. Bacon was done right. Cinammon roll was big and warm and moist in the center but abit too sweet. Pancakes were average. Our server was lovely and kept our coffees topped up. We did have to wait a while to order because she was nowhere to be found at the beginning but she came around after. This is one of my favorite places to eat breakfast. The food is cooked to order,fresh and delicious. The waitress was very professional. Her name was Alexis. She was always checking on everything to make sure everything was cooked properly and it was tasty . Refilling drinks, she was on top of her game.... Parking: Come early for parking. Normal time for breakfast @9 to 11am could be a bit harder to find a spot. Had no problem at 700am though for breakfast. Kid-friendliness: High chairs are available, kids menus. Wheelchair accessibility: They do have a ramp for wheelchair.

Good place to eat, food was good but it was a interesting experience. When you walk in depending on what color you was it seemed like the direction you went in the restaurant. The older white people went straight ahead or to the left deeper in the restaurant, but black or trailer park looking white people or low income looking people was placed to the right closer to the cashier and the door. Im not saying this place is undercover racist but it made me observed what was happening even though I was placed to the right closer to the door and cashier my waitress got a $20 tip for a $26 meal oh and Im Black.

There were five of us, and we all had something different. The entire experience was mediocre at best. The food was either passable or below average with nothing being especially good. The dish I ordered was supposed to come with crispy bacon but what I got was rubbery flopping messes. The eggs were supposed to be over easy but were over medium. Where they earned points back is there service. The staff are very attentive, my coffee cup was never empty, and when they saw I was less than thrilled with the meal they asked what they could do better. I explained the issues I had with the meal and they were genuinely interested in what I had to say. I had the Cuban sandwich w/steamed broccoli and I only had one complaint. Dont put steamed broccoli next to a pressed sandwich because it gets soggy. Even tho it was soggy on one side, I enjoyed it immensely. Im from Tampa and Ive been looking for a great Cuban Sandwich for the last 2 years. You have a customer for life (if you separate the steamed broccoli from the sandwich)!!

If you go to Jimmies egg on broadway in Tyler Texas ask for Chealsey. Not only was the fiod gidd but Chealseys service was top notch. We never ran out or waited to long for anything. She was kind courtiouse and professional all at once. Highly recomend you visit and have the Classic combo. You wont regret it.

Decent breakfast, reasonable prices. It will fill the tummy. However, with mostly senior patrons, I understand the bland flavor of everything. Salt, pepper & Tabasco is a necessity. They have it, so no worries. Enjoy!

What a great breakfast restaurant. They are super busy on Saturday mornings but definitely worth the wait. The waitresses keep your coffee cup full and make sure you have everything you need. Today we got the Eggs Benedict with very crispy hashbrowns, just the way I like them, and the Biscuits Gone Wild. Wow! Two people could share those biscuits! Also had one of their amazing cinnamon rolls. Fresh and flavorful, I found all of it to be exceptional. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quality breakfast in Tyler.

Quit puffing your vapes in the restaurant! Staff should know better! The manager is RUDE and she engages in the puffing also!!! I will never go back in here as long as the manager is Jessica. It s no wonder she has had MULTIPLE GM positions and either quit or got fired! The truth is obvious! She s not a good example for her employees or the restaurants she has been employed!

Nothing special ... someone went to the freezer section at Walmart and emptied the shelves. Not homemade... nuked and put on a plate. They could have at least used Aunt Jemima pancake mix instead of bisquick. No reason to come back to this establishment.
