Pay attention to your checks before paying. They tried to double charge us for everything and thought they could get away with it because we had a few drinks. When we questioned it, they basically were like we don t know how that happened. Other than that, the food and experience were great.

We set outside on the patio on a Saturday evening. Service was excellent. We had the Blackened Halibut and Filet Au Poivre. Steak was great and perfectly cooked. The halibut was also great but was a little dry and needed more sauce for our tastes. Also had the apple pie cheesecake for dessert. The patio area has ppen grassy areas and is also kid friendly.

As a vegan diner, I always expect to just eat sides and/or salad at a restaurant that doesnt have anything on its menu reflecting vegan. I took a chance and made a reservation via Open Table and mentioned there were two vegan diners. I was absolutely FLOORED with the fact the check actually prepared a vegan dish for my husband and myself. It was a gorgeous plate of veggies, including crispy garlic slices, pepitas, and gorgeous avocado for protein. I definitely appreciate the effort and the tastiness of it! We will definitely be coming back.

We went to The Grove on a Saturday night. We were celebrating our Anniversary. Our server was very gracious and helpful with explaining the menu and the specials. We loved loved sitting by the doors that overlook the outdoor patio. They musicians playing which added to the beauty of tree lit patio. We would definitely recommend The Grove to anyone celebrating a special occasion.

Upon arriving at the restaurant, it was confusing where the entry was located. The interior was very nice with the art and the nice view outside. We enjoyed their Garnet drink and the beef wellington. The beef was very tender and flavorful. My lunch mate had the poblano soup and a wedge salad. They stated the big ball of iceberg lettuce was too difficult to eat. They enjoyed the poblano soup; rich & spicy. I had the combo consisting of a turkey slider and a harvest salad. The brie makes the slider. Loved the harvest salad. Finished with the creme brulee. Very sweet but good. Service by Kristin was excellent. Food was slow to arrive due to several big groups. Definitely will not be last time to visit.

My mom and I came here for lunch after a day of bridal shopping, and from the moment we got there I was impressed! The grounds were beautiful and well cared for, the interior was spotless and well decorated, and the atmosphere was lovely! On to the experience with the food. Absolutely amazing! I wanted to try a steak, since I hadn t in the last five or so years, so I ordered the Steak Frietes. It was amazing! The presentation was stunning, the flavor was incredible, it was truly a pleasure to eat. Last, but certainly not least, was the service. Oh. My. Goodness. Tristan was wonderful! His recommendations were so skillful, I went with his soup recommendation for an appetizer, and I almost got what he recommended for an entree, but I really did want to try that steak. :) His service was top notch, he was on top of things and checking on us consistently without becoming annoying, and anticipating all of our needs, refilling drinks, and bringing app plates without being asked, etc. Easily the best serving experience I have had recently! As a server myself, my bar is high, and he easily exceeded it. I highly recommend asking for Tristan whenever you visit!

I just had lunch with my daughter after bridal shopping for her wedding later this year. The food was wonderful in presentation and delicious to my palate, the service divine. A special compliment to the tremendous assistance Trenton provided. We enjoyed a fabulous soup because he sold it with scrumptious description, spectacularly. My daughter almost chose the special of the dat due to his extremely beautiful management of the description for it (meatloaf that sounded heavenly in his word choice). I convinced her to choose what shed expressed a dese for earlier in our adventure of today. Pictured: -The soup of the day, which is a delightful chicken concoction of the slightly Mexican persuasionin (influenced). -Calamari app with a NOT marinara dip (called comeback sauce - lovely flavors). -Grilled salmon on creamy cheese grits and brussels sprouts with a leafy mix atop. Altogether a splendid and thoroughly enjoyable experience. I would come back for the food and request Trenton as my waiter, for sure! Also, as a note, I currently reside in an extra large body and he treated me like a real person. The opposite of that is something that makes being an oversized human an emotioanlly, mentally, and spiritually difficult experience. Trenton is an amazing human for being truly kind. He, by the way, woks hospitality outside this restaurant (weddings and other events). Maybe he will find this review and respond (is that even possible?) with contact details so we can hire him for such things! Kid-friendliness: I saw a baby-in-arms and a toddler. I would say this restaurant is child friendly at lunch.

Definitely overrated! First, even if you make a reservation three weeks in advance, they dont honor it. We arrived five minutes before our reservation timeslot and had to wait 30-minutes for a table. Is this their way of squeezing money out of you since you wait in the bar? Hmmm... Second, we opted for an inside table since its too hot in Texas to eat outside this time of year. Unfortunately, its so loud inside, we couldnt enjoy conversation at our table of six! Third, the food is meh and its over-priced. Will I return? No! Not when their are multiple (and better) choices in Tyler!

Melinda was the bast bartender in tyler during my week stay in tyler. She was knowledgeable of the menu and made excellent drinks. I had the mini beef wellington with a side off Brussels sprouts. The only thing I would change would be a little more mustard on the wellington, but that is a personal preference the wellingtonwas cooked to perfection crispy, flaky outside, and tender on the inside. Other than that, the meal was fantastic.

Multiple times now have arrived with reservations only to be told it would at least a 15 minute+ wait because all their tables are full. I know for brunch people like to visit but this goes to knowing your clientele and accommodating. Need to get better at this or will n Ed to start going elsewhere.

Pretty place, good service overpriced for bad food. Asked for eggs over easy, came out with solid yellow center. Toast was just warm bread not toasted, bacon wasnt fully cooked and potatoes were luke warm. Wife had the avocado Toast. Couldnt cut it with a knife, asked for a steak knife to be able to eat it. Having a meal at the Grove is a real experience in culinary excellence. Although expensive, it s worth every dime. The service was phenomenal. Im surprised this location wasnt brimming with customers. IPA beer was ice cold. Italian Meatball appetizer was tasty. Salmon entrée was excellent, including the Brussel Sprouts. Though the food was delicious, we were very sad that there was not a sweet hospitality feel. We had brought an employee to celebrate her 30th birthday. There was nothing offered to make her feel special and we had to ask the band 4 times before they even sang happy birthday to her. The waiters said they wouldnt do that. ALSO, we had heard rumors and actually experienced the deception that has been felt by other of our friends who were customers in the past. We were told right at the beginning that the wine was 1/2 price tonight and possibly that would make the birthday girl feel special. So we ordered 2 bottles, and not until we checked out did we realize we did not get the bottles for 1/2 price. Other friends of ours had experienced the same, so we should have been more aware and asked more specific questions. All and all however, we were disappointed and definitely will not be back celebrating anyones birthday at The Grove. :-(

Absolutely love this place! Great service, great vibe and atmosphere with occasional bands and performers for live music in the outdoor area, and even better food than I couldve hoped for. The steak is perfect every time I go there and order it with a great paring of an appetizer being the mini beef wellingtons, so good! A perfect date night or special occasion place to go to eat with an excellent drink and wine selection. Although a little pricey, it ends up being worth it in the end every time and love looking forward to the next meal. Kid-friendliness: A nice backyard and open area where the stage is and I believe I have seen cornhole or other such games out there and kids running around.

This review could be worse if it werent for our amazing server Hailey. It was our anniversary and we arrived 10 minutes early, they werent to busy but the hostess asked if we could wait in the bar area. 30 minutes after our reservation we went to see what was taking so long and the hostess said she had forgotten about us. We waited another 12 minutes just waiting for any server to acknowledge us. Luckily Hailey stepped in and did her absolute best to make up for the wait. The food was okay...I got the Steak and eggs which was horrible. The steak was overcooked (I asked for medium rare) had no flavor and the eggs looked like someone sneezed all over them and left their snot on them. The potatoes were good though. My wife and the Brisket Tacos which were pretty darn good. The Beef Wellington Minis were really good. Were going to try going there again and let yall know. Everyone has bad days and Im hoping that The Grove will be better the 2nd time around. If you go, I recommend asking for Hailey!!

This is our second time here for anniversary dinner. We LOVE the food & atmosphere outside w/live music. Get a reservation ahead of time, because they were turning people away.. we waited a WHILE before anyone greeted us & just as I was about to ask someone if we have a server, a nice gal named Lordan came over & checked on us. Said she has been noticing us sitting with menus & no help & offered to get our drinks while she figured out who our server is. Mind you, she had the biggest table there (like 20 people) & still took a minute to check on us. She ended up getting us a server, but theres obviously something wrong with their system. Management needs to take action, I know some people would have just left if they never get greeted. I think our servers name was Jamie & she was very nice & thorough, but I do want to really commend Lordan for noticing us & going out of her way to check on us, even having a very large party to take care of.

If the coolest person you know and the best chef that you were in a love triangle with the best bartender you knew... theyd all live at The Grove. Thought out design details in every corner. You can tell that every nook of the space was thoughtfully (and funkily!) Curated to give it a cohesive look while letting individual spots be unique. The food was delicious - Texas without being derivative, every single item tried hit. The mixology of the cocktails werent made to look cute on socials but to actually taste amazing and pack a punch, and their wine list is extensive. Its a brunch, dinner, bar, get married, listen to a concert kind of event space where my guess is that anything can happen, and itll probably be done perfectly.

First let me say, it was NOT crowded and there were empty tables. This place has gone down hill fast. While the atmosphere is good, the quality and preparation of the food was not. They seemed to focus on presentation, not preparation. Steak was ordered medium and arrived well done with no steak knife. Staff did not represent a fine dining experience. Their outfits looked like they just got off work from Chili s, and their attention to details and time it took for a simple tea refill was ridiculous. It is disappointing as we always looked forward to going somewhere better than a franchise restaurant. Lastly, the bathrooms were enough of a disaster that we would wait to get home to use the facilities. For a $300.00 meal, I am sorry to say that we will NOT be back.

I have visited this place many times. The food, drinks, and service are always phenomenal. The burger is worth $20. The Charcuterie is filling for 2 and not super basic. The only reason the atmosphere isnt 5 stars is due to the fact that patrons who sit outside in groups regularly bring children. Ive yet to be able to sit outside without parents yelling at their children to stop running or doing regular kid things. This restaurant does not offer a playground setting, so its really up to the guests there if a peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere will be had.

Okay, where to start. My Wife and I visited around mid afternoon so we were there for lunch. No one was out front at the time to seat us so we wandered around until we finally found a dishwasher who went and found the hostess. It was a beautiful day so we chose to sit outside on the patio. Wow what a gorgeous setting. Our waitress was lovely and treated us with the utmost respect. I believe her name was Kayden. My wife and I both are seniors and I dont think its appropriate for the waitress to refer to us as Honey and Beautiful and My Love, etc... Other than that she really did do a wonderful job and took care of most of our needs. Ultimately, we would have hoped she checked in a little more regularly with us but overall Id say shes better than the average. With regards to the food theres no denying how great it was however, We did have a few issues as follows: My wife ordered the chicken meal with cheese and prosciutto, mashed potatoes and the colinini. We specifically asked for no prosciutto as we dont eat pork. You guessed it. It was covered in prosciutto. I ordered the hamburger and it was cooked perfectly and everything looked amazing. Eventually my wifes new chicken order came out of the kitchen and she was able to resume her meal. The only negative comment I could make is we both felt like the chicken and the hamburger had no seasoning on them at all. Maybe thats a garden-to-table thing. I dont know but the meal cost us over $50 and we had no alcohol and that was for lunch. Overall the place was beautiful, atmosphere was great and the food was tasty, just unseasoned. We would have thought they would have made some form of restitution for messing up my wifes lunch however, none was offered. Its unlikely well ever return as we dont feel like we got our moneys worth and were disappointed how they handled the messed up meal.

Absolutely adored The Grove. Went for Brunch and the restaurant was so cute. Loved the fancy bar area to the right when you first walked in and then to the left there s a little event area you can rent out, tons of outdoor space and even outdoor space you rent out. The restaurant itself was really cute with all the funky paintings and signs throughout. It felt very much like upscale dining but it was very relaxing. The servers were all very attentive, water glasses were filled when close to being empty. They come and pick up your plates quickly. Our server was really great. Overall I loved the experience here.

I easily made a reservation online and went for brunch alone around 10:30 on a Sunday morning. I asked to sit outside when I arrived and was seated as soon as I got in. There was a gentleman there playing the guitar and singing (I always enjoy their performers). Bring some cash and feel free to tip the performers (they are not required, but the performers seem to be very appreciative). By the way, the guy that was singing on 3/3/24 was a hit! Id love to hear him again. I already knew what I wanted to try, by looking at the brunch menu on their website (super convenient). I ordered the French toast, candied bacon, 1 over medium egg, and a cappuccino. The presentation of everything came out beautifully and the quantity of breakfast was well worth the price. The quality of the French toast was 10 out of 10 although it lacked flavor by itself, but luckily it came with some very flavorful berries and candied bananas. After feeling like something was missing, I wouldnt order it again, but you have to try it at least once. The candied bacon was delicious. It was thick-cut bacon and the salty/sweet flavor was great!! I will be trying the regular bacon next time and would 100% recommend trying the candied bacon. My over-easy eggs were cooked to perfection. Although Id only ordered one, it came with 2 (I do understand though). They were rich and creamy. Great quality eggs! This was my favorite part of the breakfast that I had ordered. No salt or pepper was needed although the eggs dont come seasoned. I just enjoyed the taste of the eggs alone. My cappuccino was very bitter, but that could have been my fault. I thought that it would come already flavored, so ask for some flavored creamer if you prefer that. It was creamy though. The service was a 10 out 10. The cleanliness and design is a 10 out 10. The food was an 8 out of 10 (the lack of flavor in the French toast knocked off a bit). Id 100% recommend this restaurant. I paid $33 and some change for my order and left happy with great service. I dine here often and like anywhere else it doesnt always go perfectly. They have missed the mark 1 other time (overcooked my salmon), but they strive to make it right. The food is fresh and hot.

Food was just average and cold when it came to the table. Most of the chairs are worn out, just like this one in pic. They are tearing apart, the floor wasn t clean they have really went down. It in one year, drastic change. Just awful, just go to Golden Corral .What happened? Went with a group of 7. We waited for our table in the bar area, live music and very nice. My wife and I had the special, ny strip steak, green beans, and mash potatoes. We also had a wedge salad. The salad came out quickly and was very good. Our dinner took almost an hour to appear, the mash potatoes were good, the green beans were under cooked and the steak was not great. The calamari my friend ordered had a mustard like flavor . I think they were having some kitchen issues. Our waiter was nice and apologetic for the delays. My friend and I enjoyed this gem. We wanted to try something new for her birthday and being a chef myself, I like to try different top tier restaurants. It s busy no matter what time you go, so you need to reserve. The host was a little flustered because we showed up almost a half hour early (came in from Dallas) and started mumbling to himself, but we were seated early. The atmosphere is light and pleasant. Folks need to try what they can t make or what they can t get elsewhere. We tried the brunch menu. The Bananas Foster French Toast was amazing. My friend said the grits were the best she d ever had. My chicken fried steak was hand breaded. Everything was delicious and reminded me of eating in Europe. Prices are what you would expect for upscale dining but are still fairly moderate compared to other establishments. Recommended!

The noise was extremely loud. We could not hear each other at a table for 2. We were in a glass enclosed room with hard wood floors, and cane furniture so there was no deadening of any noise. Our food arrived. We had no utensils or napkins. The bottle of wine came with only a label from a label maker, so not sure what thats all about. The steak au poivre was a steak with some brown gravy on it. Both it and the steak & cake were only mildly hot. Usually I make an effort to avoid an appetizer so I have room for dessert. In this case, since the meal was only a tepid temperature and not all that flavorful, I was not going to spend any more at this restaurant.
