Ive been visiting this restaurant for more than a year now. And while it took some time to find something I really liked on the menu, I can now say this place has become one of my favorites. If you come at lunch time, the current $9.99 specials are unbeatable (and their regular prices are a solid value as well comparatively). I recommend the Sweet and Sour Chicken or the Sweet Pepper Chicken (ask for extra fried if you like it crunchy). Again, this food recommendation comes after months of testing and finding what we believe to be their top dishes. The atmosphere is good and service has always been wonderful. Swing by for lunch and Ill bet youll find yourself coming back often.

There are so many Chinese restaurants to pick from. So Ill save you some time, choose Liangs! From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, the experience is perfect. Friendly staff, quick service, huge portions, and quality ingredients! Liangs is our new go to Chinese spot. Thank you to Samuel, for making our meal seamless. #GoogleGal

Had lunch with my wife here I ordered the lunch orange chicken and my wife ordered the lunch sesame chicken. She asked if she could sub the soup for extra fried rice and the server said yes a $1.00 up charge. I ask for an extra fried rice in place of the soup as well and he told me thered be the same upcharge. I said thats fine no problem. We get our order and I didnt get the extra fried rice I ordered and my wife just got noodles no fried rice. She had to ask for it a second time. The food was ok wasnt to bad but also wasnt the greatest either. The server was slow I waited 5-6 minutes standing by the checkout and they just left me up there waiting and were not busy at all. I finally walked over and told my server look if you want me to pay for the food then get over here and check me out or Im leaving. Definitely wont be back! They charged me for (2) full orders of extra fried rice that I never got so I left no tip! One good screwn deserves another...

Everything about this place was very good during this visit. We had a group of 6 for lunch and were seated promptly upon arrival. The staff was very polite and friendly. Each ordered something different and everyone enjoyed their meal. I personally ordered the General Tsao with fried rice, egg roll and hot and sour soup. Everything was fantastic and for $9.99 for the lunch special was a good deal.

Liang s Chinese restaurant currently boasts 4.1 stars out of 5 based on 420 reviews. I don t understand it. Literally everything that we ordered was so disgusting that we couldn t eat even more than 1 bite of each dish. The wonton soup was revolting. Clearly, it is not homemade and a cheap approximation of what wonton soup is supposed to be. The broth was sweet you could taste the high fructose corn syrup in it. The dumplings must have sat in the soup for so long that the noodles were total mush, and the pork filling was disgusting. You wouldn t serve it to prisoners. The egg roll is purported to be made in-house, which is probably true since it was the only edible thing we ordered. However, there was almost no shrimp in it and it was small - the size of a spring roll. I had General Tsao s chicken. General Tsao s is supposed to be crispy and the sauce is spicy with a hint of sweet. The chicken breading was slimy, the sauce was exceedingly sweet, and the chicken was low quality and unpalatable. This is the kind of food quality that you d see on Kitchen Nightmares on the Eve of the restaurant going out of business. My wife got the moo shoo chicken. She likened the protein to that of human flesh, which is deeply troubling considering the overall quality of the meal. Clearly, Liang s relies on serving a community that has no idea what good Chinese food is. If you have any experience eating authentically good Chinese food, I d recommend even Panda Express. It s really that bad. If I could give zero stars, I would.

What a disappointment! This cant be run by the same people from the prior location on the loop. The service is non-existent....granted it was a Sunday evening, but that shouldnt matter. The food was not nearly as good as it used to be. For example, my spring roll was super greasy and not very tasty. My tofu with vegetables was very bland, but the worst was my husbands sweet and sour chicken! Seriously a joke. Swimming in grease and 1/4 chicken vs 3/4 batter....some pieces were actually lacking any chicken at all! Horrible. To top things off, the prices have definitely gone up.....like many other restaurants in town. I understand times are tough running a restaurant, but if you cant keep the quality up and charge more, then thats where places lose business. I dont mind paying more for quality food, but I refuse to pay for sub-quality food and leave the place hungry! I used to love going to Liangs, but I regretfully will never go back. Just an honest review.

A good choice for tasty Chinese food in ample portions at reasonable prices. Pros: - Decent selection. And if it is not on the menu, ask and they likely can make it for you (we did ask, they did make it). - Good taste. For my palate, it was a bit too Americanized. But what do I know? My China-born-and-raised compadre loved the taste of everything! - Clean, well decorated and spacious dining areas. Rooms available for private parties or meetings; an attractive outdoor patio. - Very friendly and great staff. - Good meal pacing. Kept the hot tea cups filled and the iced tea as well. - Per the Chinese compadre, great hot tea (Very good tea. Quality.) I thought it was very good as well. - Womens bathroom clean! - Price reasonable for the quality and portion sizes (portions were consistently larger than I expected). Cons: - Mens bathroom was clean enough, but could have used some attention. - Quality was OK when compared to big city Chinese (i.e.: Dallas, LA, Chicago), but top for a place the size of Tyler. Bottom line: For a place the size of Tyler, a great choice for Chinese. Vegetarian options: Only one on the menu, but ask and they can make anything vegetarian. Parking: Lots of parking in the shopping development where this is located. Kid-friendliness: They have highchairs and serve children, but no play place or other kid-oriented concessions.

Food was mediocre at best. Gen Tso chicken was tough and tasteless, fried rice was basically plain brown rice. The cashew chicken was overcooked and overpowered with soy sauce. Egg rolls were fairly good and the hot/sour soup was tasty and spicy. Also, the water tasted like dirt but that was likely a city utility problem rather than the restaurants. Maybe its better at dinner but the food at 1:00pm wasnt worth it.

The WORST Chinese food I ve had thus far. And I ve lived in at least 5 different states. The portions are LAUGHABLE. We ordered from Liangs through Uber and were shocked! This place should be embarrassed to be in business! Ordered the wonton soup. Wonton soup usually has veggies and chicken, beef and shrimp inside. This was just broth with a few wontons that tasted like tap water. You can tell all that was use to flavor it was powdered spices. BIG FAIL. Even more insulting was the size the rice package came in. It was the size of a small Happy Meal French fry. Sushi looked old. Most of the food looked like it is frozen food warmed up in the microwave. Threw most of it away and tried and we re hoping we don t barf later. And again, for the prices they re charging, the portions are INSULTING. Do better, I wish I could get my money back

Bland, overcooked, flavorless. Unfortunately was a take out order. If dining in the restaurant, I would have sent it back. Tasted like Chinese buffet, not $20 dollar individually plated restaurant dish.

My wife and I have a tradition of eating Chinese food on Christmas Eve. It is very difficult to find a traditional Chinese authentic restaurant. As you know most are buffets. This is very nicely decorated restaurant. Very clean from the floor to the seating areas and into the bathroom. The dress of the waiters is casual. The atmosphere is relaxing. We were allowed in 10 minutes early because we were in Tyler doing some last minute Christmas shopping. We ordered hot and sour soup, Gen. Tso chicken and had my traditional dish for Christmas Eve, Pork Egg Fu Yung. The hot and sour was smooth, chunky and flavorful. The dishes were served family style with enough to take extra home, very generous portions. My wife normally comments on her plate when it is exceptionally good. On a scale of 10 her plate was a 7. I didnt taste it. Now my traditional Christmas Eve plate of Egg Fu Yung, I give a 5 to. The sauce was very dark and thick. But that was not necessarily a bad thing. The pork was in chunks rather than in the traditional servi g style of strips, small strips. What made the dish difficult to eat was the amount of salt taste. I dont know where that much sodium taste came from. Was it soy sauce, or what I have no idea. This was a disappointment for me, because I love Chinese food and in particular Egg Fu Yung. We drove an hour from our home in Alba Tx. to Tyler to continue our Christmas Eve tradition of Chinese food.

Me and the hubby enjoyed a wonderful meal here tonight. Spring rolls were flaky and fresh. I had the best wonton soup I had ever tasted (hubby s egg drop soup was also great). We both had lo mein, and it was delicious, with a large enough portion for to- go boxes. Our waitress was absolutely on-point, and friendly. Absolutely recommend!

I placed a to-go order at 6:05 PM. Online order said the food would be ready at 6:30. Did not receive the food until 7:30. This is a ridiculous wait no one should bother going through. They never gave updates while waiting in line for the food.

This is by far the best restaurant I have ever attended! The atmosphere was warm, cozy, and hospitable! Some people can t grapple with the fact that these people are trying to make the best and most suitable place for us. I certainly didn t mind people walking around and checking how we re doing. One person gave me a very good food recommendation and now it s my go-to order. The server here (I think her name was Katie) was exceptional! She was so well-mannered, she checked on us frequently, and she made sure that we were in the best possible position. I highly recommend this superior place! I m definitely taking my grandchildren here next time!

I ve never had a bad Chinese food experience until I ate here. I ordered the seafood lo mein and I can t get over how awful it was. It looked like spaghetti noodles were used. They were over done, the shrimp was hard and it s was merely just not it, especially for the price. I also ordered the dumplings and they really weren t all that great either. $30 worth of food down the drain

Best Chinese food in Tyler. We love the new location. They have the best edamame, fried tofu, sushi, and of course, all the regular Chinese dishes. Its not a buffet. Unlike buffet dishes, it is prepared fresh and you can taste the difference. The service is wonderful. They are always kind and friendly. The only reason were giving them 5 stars is because we cant give them 10!

I used to love this place before it changed hands. I tried it again in its new location and it s even worse. The chips they served were stale and the beef with broccoli was undercooked and the pepper steak was totally disgusting. We asked for to go containers so we could just throw it all away when we got home. They need to go back to the way the people before cooked Chinese food it was delicious. The quality of beef they use if it is beef is chewy and not getting any better now I wouldn t serve it to my dog . Never ever going here again.
