Love southern classic in shreveport so me and my girl had to try it since we moved to tyler. Sad to say it made us both sick the next morning/all day. We only shared that meal that day so its the only thing that could have done it. I would not recommend eating here unless you want food poisoning. Probably not clean kitchen or staff not washing hands. Whatever it was it was not friendly.

BEST chicken in Tyler Texas ! Large pieces and not one bit greasy ! They know how to change their oil frequently enough and temperature in frying makes it non greasy ! The corn grits are a true southern dish and should be praised ! Only place well Ever get our Fried BUCKET of chicken. We are new to Tyler and by luck found this Lil diamond !!

I drove an hour and 45 mins to get my 8 pc mixed with peppers . Got all the way back home which is in Cedar Hill Texas and didn t get my peppers . I didn t even want the chicken anymore . Disappointed !!! All I wanted was my peppers and chicken for Father s Day ! 2024 Father s Day ruined!

3 ketchups for any meal IS NOT ENOUGH. I went by last night and got a jumbo combo 3 piece with fries and drink included & If u eat there on the regular uk the pieces of chicken are pretty big which is great. The food is always good hot & fresh. I asked the Hispanic girl or Caucasian heavy set girl idk what she is with glasses at the window around 9:15 pm for extra ketchup and she gave me maybe 3-4 more.. i asked a second time for more she proceeded to say it s already three in the bag with an attitude. Isn t the customer always right? If i ask for more ketchup it should be simple any meal should be given at least 6-10 ketchups individually. & y all need take her out the window period cus she acting like the ketchups coming out her check.

The chicken was equivalent to Churchs. Although tasty, very greasy. The Cajun Rice was horrendous. It was a bowl of grease that was soupy. The corn grits were very good. This place only has outdoor seating. Be prepared to be hounded by stray dogs while eating if you elect to eat there. The food selection is limited to only fried chicken and fried chicken tenders. This place does not offer anything else other than sides and drink. I have definitely had worse but probably would not recommend this place unless every other place in town is closed down...permanently.

I have NEVER, EVER, EVER had better chicken in my LIFE!!! This place is GREAT! They have a small menu and you can tell every dishs recipe was carefully thought out and honed. The chicken isnt that huge, steroids laden chiken youll see (and hate to taste) everywhere else. KFC used to be great but theyve completely missed the mark for years. This is THE chicken place!!!!! Theyre the only ones who have kept this kind of quality. GO HERE!!!

I was excited to see one where Im about to move in Tyler. It wasnt like in Shreveport! But its waaaaaaay better than the one in Longview!!!! Wasnt bad just not as good. It was 30mins b4 closing too. I just got off wk and hadnt eaten all day. Ill try to go earlier next time. Guy with dreads was nice. Oh and my rolls were fresh. I hate when they not. Edit: I went two more times, food was better but I also went earlier too. I love the skin on that chicken!

Sad to say my experience here was not a good one. The food at best was fairly good, but was expecting more as I have heard good things from two teenage grandkids and a daughter. Purchased 4 complete individual meals board numbers 2,2,3,4, 10 piece tenders, 7 rolls and three large sides. The woman takimg order was not very pleasant, overcharged us for an extra meal we did not order or receive and 7 rolls we did not receive. It was a to go order and we did immediately put all but a large fries in a heat bag. Shared fries on way home which were surprisingly soggy. Was not overwhelmed by anything . Tenders were ok, chicken pieces according to kids were ok as well. Of everything ordered whoch came to more than $100 was the sweet cord grits. I personally will never go back again. Would liked to have liked it.

ripped me off for 19 dollars and some change, today 12/28/2022. I ordered the 10 piece dark the menu said 6 legs and 4 thighs instead i got 6 thighs and 4 of the smallest legs Ive ever seen, i even took a picture of them to share with everyone on Social media . The drumsticks were smaller than my Pinky finger . I had to laugh to keep from getting upset. COME ON MAN. Evidently the owner really cares about poor service as this is not the first time Ive complained about poor service here and never get any feedback. Business as usual i suppose

The staff is friendly & the service is prompt. Every time we travel through this area we always stop here to feed our craving. The flavor or the chicken is awesome & the red beans are very delicious. Just a lil tweaking on the rice as we know its 1 of those tricky items to cook sometimes leaving it gummy or undercooked yet & it can be awesome!. This Place gets one star because of poor customer service. They never have great customer service it has actually worsen , the food not being handed to a person, its darn near thrown at you. Even the way the money being return back to the customer is aggressive. They tell you to hold on while at drive thru speaker. Before you can ask for ketchup or anything they try or close the window. Its too much unnecessary conversations going while the drive thru window open .The females at this particular location attitudes are horrible, Ive called in on them a couple of times sure. im not the only one and nothing has improved or changed. I havent had Southern Classic in over 10 years since I was living in Shreveport. Here visiting Tyler and was excited that there was one here. I figured the place would be busy as it always was. We didnt wait too long for our food and it was hot and fresh. Unfortunately it didnt taste the way it did back in the day. There was this special flavor that chicken had back then that is missing. Nevertheless the chicken still tastes good. I was so hungry I forgot to take good pics before I started eating

This was my very first time at this place I was actually surprised and shocked and amazed at how good the chicken was. It was seasoned to perfection. Very very good. The French fries were hot and had light seasoning on them. I live almost 250 miles away from this place but I am planning to visit again soon. This place is guaranteed to have you craving its food. It was totally worth the money. My family and I enjoyed the food so much we wanted to take some home. Yes 250 miles away. It was just that good. Lol but seriously we went through the drive thru and the people had awesome customer service a young guy he was very good at his position very patient while we looked over the menu at drive thru. So I truly recommend this place. They have excellent food and customer service.
