Due to construction the exhibits have been moved next door to the John Ben Shepperd building aka the Presidents Museum. Its totally free. You can currently see a small portion of the Presidents archival material as well as 2 exhibits from the Ellen Noel museum. The quilt exhibit was particularly unique and interesting. They also have a nice gift shop with soaps, fancy lotions, jewelry, blown glass knickknacks, stuffed toys and a few shirts. Also, dont forget to check out one of the Bush houses behind the museum. Definitely worth a visit, what else are you going to do in Odessa?

Wow! Both tourists and citizens of the area should see this. Enjoy free admission to this museum, which features a number of both permanent and rotating exhibitions. The Texas photography display was in the moment extremely touching. An engaging sensory experience for the eyes, ears, and touch is the outdoor sculpture garden. Both children and adults will enjoy the gift shop. Request a tour if one is available; the educational staff is excellent. The museum also has summer programs and monthly educational events.

This is a little hidden jewel! I look forward to coming back! Its free, but they do have original things to buy. Great variety of local artist, but its the way you get to experience it all that moves you! Going through Alice in Wonderland was a memorable experience! They also had their free Saturday hands on event, what a fun time! I felt like a kid again! Did crafts with the kids while the Madd hatter read, a young local group of kids played the Harps, and we played a life sized game of chess! Check it out, you wont be disappointed!

My sister-in-law recommend visiting here while on our annual Christmas trip to Odessa to meet family/friends. Lucky us they had this special exhibit on hand of wedding dresses. Lots of craftsmanship apparent with early 18th century lace used. Be sure to vote for your favorite dress in the two galleries. Exhibit is free.
