I have been there twice and had to wait more than an hour to get my food. The first time I thought that it was just bad luck, but the second time was not even busy and the wait was even longer than the first time. The server would not even check on us or after any more coffee or water.

We waited over an hour for our food just for it to be very cold and have hairs in it. We also weren t given silverware until like 5 minutes after our food got there. Our server was sweet and it wasn t her fault so we asked to still be charged for our drink so we could tip her. And we tipped well. Would love for the kitchen to figure out their system so their servers don t suffer.

We had high expectations and were mostly disappointed. The kids scrambled eggs were bland. Salt is important in a scrambled egg, specifically pre-salting when the eggs are beaten. Pre-salting starts the process of unwinding The omelet was cooked exceptionally hard.

We were seated at 1108. Received our food at 1230. Food came out incorrectly. Eggs were undercooked. Hash browns were burnt. Shrimp and grits tasted like it came out the freezer. We didn t receive the whole order and the food was cold. Drinks took 30 minutes to come out. Overall experience was a waste of time. Would not suggest this location. The only positive situation is that our waiter was professional and kept us informed.

This was my second time coming to the cafe , the food was very good , the atmosphere great , but let me tell you about the people that work there I had an episode with my blood sugar dropping and about to pass out with the help of my friends And EVERY SINGLE employee that came by they checked on us , got us what we needed , really cared about the situation , and made sure I was good to go before we left . Amazing staff and thank yall all so much for showing kindness and compassion .

I have never left a review in my life but after the experience we just had I absolutely have to. This was the worst experience I have ever had. If I could give it a zero I would. Waited 30 minutes to be seated. Another 15-20 for our waiter to come. Finally placed our order (at this point 1 hour has been wasted) the best part .. we waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive and it would not come. Waiter no where to be found. Finally the waiter comes and I ask him how much longer for our food he says another 20 minutes because they are busy excuse me????? After waiting 45 minutes for our food we need to wait even longer? For some eggs? Absolutely unacceptable. DO NOT COME HERE. I repeat DO NOT COME HERE. Talk about a wasted Saturday morning and we left angry and starving. We will stick with First Watch.

First time here and we waited two hours for a mediocre breakfast, no exaggeration. The kitchen was understaffed and instead of closing the restaurant they continued seating people. Another Broken Egg was great. Lots of unique options. We had Cinnamon Toast French Toast, Mardi Gras Omelette and Smoked salmon Benedict. Everything came out hot and delicious! April was our server. She was pleasant and on top of everything. My only complaint (which I know has NOTHING to do with Broken Egg) is they can serve alcohol until 10am on Sunday. Stupid Tyler. With a table of 6, a variety of dishes were ordered with no complaints and some of us eating off of others plates. Definitely one of the best breakfasts Ive had when it comes to eating out. Came twice. On a weekday we ordered the lobster brie with high hopes. in theory it should work, but the lobster is cooked in a garlic butter sauce that is so salty that it overtakes the food. On the flip side, the grits that came with it as a side were so under seasoned that I wonder if the cook even knows he cooked it? Pricey and small portions. Came on Saturday...their online wait-list lies. It told us 10 to 20 and we walked in and they told it would be 20 to 40. They seated us anyway because we had a baby. We waited over 50 minutes for our food...sweating with a baby. She drank her milk but it was too long. Our waitress tried very hard and seated us inside and it is the management and most likely the owner that doesnt have it together. The salad they brought me was like a half salad at best. tl;dr ... High prices. Low portions. Seasoning off. Slow service.

Staff great. Very pleasant hostess and server. Temperature was close to hanging beef cold Eggs being the primary focus of the menu you would think they would have cooking them down perfectly. Husband huevos rancheros were on menu as over medium. Served over hard. My eggs Benedict was like a hard boiled egg. Server graciously had it redone. Not much better. Now the city grits were wonderful

Loved this place. Tyler has needed a place like this. The only MINOR complaint is it was a little loud. I just chalked that up to people having a good time. Definitely recommend this place.

Our server was Summer, food was out so quick, the service was P-H-E-N-O-M-E-N-A-L! Summer was so sweet that even if the food was awful (which it wasn t it was delicious) we would come back! We were a group of five people and we were sat immediately, and taken care of really efficiently. We do get a little complicated sometimes but summer got everything perfect! From the drinks to the extra sides everything came out amazing, she answered all of our questions and was kind about all of it!

Atmosphere is great. It is has a wonderful vibe. Only complaints are kitchen needs and hostess needs. Honestly location seems to be a big issue. It has the potential to be a great brunch restaurant but given the complaints about wait times and no where to sit for hours on end sounds like a bigger building is needed. Kitchen needs better chefs who take pride in their cooking and will do whatever needs to be done to make an order right if it comes out wrong. Cold food, undercooked food, dry food. Should not be a problem with the right chefs in the kitchen. As for the poor hostesses. I can see why it would be frustrating for them when they have 40+ guest outside and inside trying to be seated and only one of them to handle all the guest. The hostess area should have 4 hostess two to seat, one to manage online reservations and the final to handle the walk-ins. As for the waiters and waitresses. They need to be better equipped to handle as many people as they do. There should be no reason mine or anyone elses drink goes empty if they are constantly on the floor being great. Dont be lazy and let a customer go thirsty especially if they have to wait an hour just for food. Kitchen staff needs more hires as well as better chefs who can cook all varieties of food. Hostess area really needs the 4 hostesses to make it easier. Maybe turn the music down a tad bit as well so people can talk without yelling and the hostesses and customers can hear each other when being addressed. Please make the changes it would be ashamed to see such a great business go out of business

Upon reading the reviews I was hesitant to dine here. However realizing that this restaurant had just opened I decided to give them a try, knowing that all restaurants have growing pains I wasn t expecting a 5 star experience. I was pleasantly surprised, April my waitress was exceptional, she hit all the main points of a great waitress. Knowledgeable, attentive, friendly, and thought ahead. The food was delicious I tried two dishes, the Bourbon Street Pancakes which were sweet so if you have a sweet tooth go for those! The other dish was the Soft Shell Crab Scramble, it was fantastic, you can usually tell if a place doesn t go through soft shell crab because of the taste, this dish will not disappoint! Ultimately don t listen to the bad reviews and if you want an excellent experience definitely request April!

Had the soft shell scramble and it was amazing!! Our server April was top notch!! Definitely will be making this our go-to brunch spot!! Will be recommending this place to everyone! Ignore the old bad reviews, every new place has a few growing pains, but now they are on spot!! Amazing food, great atmosphere and the best service I ve seen in a while in Tyler!! Totally worth giving a try!!
