My family and I have gone to Panchitos many times. In fact we discovered them during Covid which was a blessing with their specials. Since then, we try to get food from there as much as possible. Today was no different! Nothing beats calebaza con pollo and conchas con carne, and a botana for 4! More than anything, Ms. Jeanies friendship means the world to us which makes the food even better! Kid-friendliness: Since meeting my children, Ms. Jeanie has never forgotten to ask about them by name. I have never experienced such dedication to customer service!

To Jeanie and her staff at Panchito s You have managed to become the BEST part about Harlingen. Through overcoming what Covid through at you, to reopening with limited staff, pushing through what life throws at you, the economy and it rising prices and now to your sister battling cancer(and she will persevere). Establishments like you are what we need in this town .in this world. For those that have never been, yes they are curbside. But in no way does that stop them from serving you the best, freshest food, with a smile. The food is just like grandma makes. It just makes you feel all warm and cozy, while certainly filling up the belly. My family and I love to order from here and we try to as often as we can. We love to support our local hidden gems and this restaurant is a GEM. I was compelled to write this review, because of a post on Facebook. Someone complaining of the prices of a fajita taco and they can get a better deal at Stripes. Psshh ..I DON T THINK SO!! You cannot compare a homemade taco to a stripes taco, no way. Prices for food have skyrocketed to an unimaginable high. Gas is ridiculous! Adjustments have to be made and therefore prices must go up. They have families that depend on them. Have I ordered a fajita taco from Panchito s yes I have. It was the best and freshest fajita taco that I have ever had, at any local restaurant. Though I must say, the carne guisada on the large 16 inch tortilla, with rice, beans, lettuce and tomato, is my absolute favorite. The 16 inch carne guisada taco, on the menu is $18.99 and the 9 inch is $10.99. Is that too much for a taco? Not really. Is it worth it? 100% YES!! Will I order it again? ABSOLUTELY!! You pay for the quality of the food, the heart that goes into the cooking, the smile and warm greeting when it s brought out to you. I will come back over and over again. In fact, I had Panchito s for lunch today. I had their lunch special of Calabaza con Pollo and it was THE BEST! I may sound like I am over exaggerating but my taste buds don t lie .and neither does my belly. With that said, Jeanie, THANK YOU. Thank you for providing your customers with excellent food and service. Thank you for all the sacrifices you have made to keep moving forward and providing Harlingen with the best homemade food. Never been to Panchitos, but had heard good reviews. Didnt realize it was curbside only, was looking to dine in. So thats the reason I rated atmosphere a 1 star. The lady taking the order was nice. 5 star. However $9 for a fajita taco plus 3.25 for a sweet tea I thought was ridiculously over priced. Fajita had good flavor. But not $9 worth especially when you can go to stripes and get two fajita tacos plus a drink for $5-6. Not having an option to dine in and the high prices will definitely keep me from returning again.

Absolutely best customer service and food in town. The owner is just the most kind person Ive met especially as an owner of a restaurant. Cant beat the prices either, and portion to price ratio is outstanding. Call before going and theres practically no wait time. Its curbside but drive thru style. You want to pull up to their door with your driver side door facing their building.

My most favorite place to go when Im craving ANY KIND of breakfast taco. Only been there during and post COVID, so takeout only now. Great staff and service. Hey, like they say, Good food takes time....and yuuummmmy! Janie is the sweetest. We dont know each other on a personal level, but she knows I like red AND green salsa and always makes sure we are set to go. Its a MUST if you havent.

No bueno!!! Walked into a $4.99 special ended up with almose a $13.00 plate. Poor quality TEX Mex..sloppy. Less than professional staff. Other people pointed out why the difference in special..they claimed a la carte ment no sides. Hhmm they nickle and dimed everyrhing! From $4.99. To $13.00 pluss tip!!! It was a slap in the face!

Food is not that great. Plus, i ordered enchilada combo. She comes back 10 minutes later and tells me the carne guisado isnt ready....and if she can replace it with something else. We decided on replacing that 1 item with a hamburger. So she brings out the food to my daughter and her friend...but not mine. 8 minutes later she brings out a cheeseburger with french fries! I said wheres my enchiladas with beans an rice....with the carne guisado replaced with hamburger. She says....sorry sir..i thought you wanted your whole order changed. Aye yay yay...never going back. And drinks are $2.50 plus tax...so our 3 drinks were like $8.50 by themselves? $28 for a few tacos and a burger?!?! Ta loco.

We have been to this place 3 times. We have come back because the prices are very affordable and the food is always great. We came across this place because our go-to restaurant was closed for the day so we saw this place that was packed, so we decided to try it. Almost every time that we arrive here nobody greets you and it is hard to find a table. Theres nobody that seats you and we usually have to sit on a dirty table until somebody acknowledges us. This usually takes 5-6 min. The servers are friendly but only just enough thats recquired. Theres usually about 2-3 servers for the whole restaurant so I understand they have their work cut out for them. On our last visit we ordered mostly breakfast food and asked to have tortilla chips while we waited for the food and the waitress advised us that it would be $1.99 when this hasnt happened before so we just paid it. We also saw several people arrive and seem lost that nobody was taking care of them even though the owner was sitting at one of the tables just chatting. This place as an EXTREME lack of customer service but I guess the food is good enough and the prices low enough that it keeps people coming back.

I love going to Panchitos! My husband got a little annoyed by it because everytime he would ask where I wanted to eat breakfast of course my answer was always Panchitos lol. He wanted to try different places but wed compromise and go to Panchitos anyway! Jeanie is so friendly she always strikes up a conversation everytime we visit. And one of the servers likes to play with my baby girl everytime we go.

This restaurant, like 99% of the RGV restaurants is a Total Insult. Canned Beans and Rice with fake cheese to save 4¢ to the owner. WHY run a restaurant if you believe cooking is beneath you? More important to make a fool out of the customer today than to prosper in the long run? LAZY!!!
