We love Sandlewood Manor. It is absolutely beautiful, particularly the Grand Ballroom which is probably my favorite reception space in Houston. The crystal chandeliers and granite fireplace are just stunning. And the bar service is fantastic. Definitely a great spot for fun wedding receptions. But the best part of Sandlewood is how much the staff truly cares. They are committed to the marriage of their couples and thats really really special. Definitely a unique and beautiful place.

Every area is exquisitely decorated with intricate details and unique features that make photos look absolutely stunning. The staff is wonderful and very attentive; I m always treated professionally whenever I visit. If you are a bride and are looking for an elegant venue to host your wedding or special event, you don t have to look any further. In my experience at Sandlewood Manor in Houston, Texas, I observed numerous areas that require attention. The groomsman quarters exhibited substantial maintenance issues, featuring worn floors, sloppy wall painting, unclean baseboards, and a broken outside ramp handrail. The presence of a cracked bathroom window, missing smoke alarm, and a stagnant-smelling dishwasher contributed to an overall lack of cleanliness. Additionally, the exterior showcased worn-out furniture, grimey light switches, and various marks on the walls. While the manor house was better maintained, dirty and unpainted baseboards were notable. The outdoor walkways, sparsely covered with rocks, became muddy in certain sections, suggesting an investment in additional rock coverage. The wedding coordinator surprised us twice, firstly by informing the groomsman that everything needed to be removed immediately after use, limiting our ability to change later. Secondly, the coordinator abruptly demanded the clearing of the reception hall just five minutes before the celebrations end, displaying rudeness and a lack of empathy when faced with concerns about the rapid teardown. Furthermore, the absence of a last call announcement resulted in a bartender refusing service to the groom past 10:29, despite it being only 10:34. Despite some memorable and beautiful aspects, the unexpected challenges, poor planning, lack of communication, negative attitudes, and overall disrepair left an undesirable impression on this significant day. Regrettably, based on this experience, I would not consider returning to Sandlewood Manor.

I have nothing but the best things to say about Sandlewood Manor! In addition to having absolutely stunning facilities, multiple options for ceremony spaces (including a gorgeous chapel for if it rains on your special day... it happens), an awesome bridal suite and grooms quarters, and not to mention the ability to stay the night at the day of or before your event (game changer!) BUT they have the worlds best staff- everyone at Sandlewood Manor is top tier. Without Ashley I can honestly say I would not have made it down the aisle! She was so helpful throughout the entire process, very detail oriented, organized, and encouraging. She helped us source other vendors, gave advice, and was a listening ear. Would also like to give special mention to their on-site catering that was incredible, and we are still getting compliments on as well as their on-site bar. We loved Ernesto! He was so awesome and truly contributed to the success of our day. On your wedding day it is important that it is as seamless as possible and that you truly get to enjoy your day -- so that is why you need to book with a venue like Sandlewood Manor. They truly take care of everything and made our day that much more special!

Buyer Beware!! We toured the venue and were told only a contract would hold the date. On the day we were communicating with sales manager about specific date, we asked to be sent a contract. After thinking we had the date, we were told someone placed a soft hold on the date that evening. Since this wasn t supposed to be allowed, we argued that we were first and should honor us first. They wouldn t honor our request and gave our date right out from under us to the other party the next day. Great lack of integrity and following their own rules. Wouldn t recommend

Let me start by saying that Sandlewood Manor has the most breath-taking scenery and stunningly elegant design. If you have ever wanted to feel like royalty this is the location! Not to mention our guests loved it and all its various amenities. Now let me detail the most important part. The staff was out of this world! I felt like I was at Disney World. Ashley and her team worked very hard and are so detailed and dedicated. I was blown away at the service that was provided to me and my husband during that planning and on our wedding day. Ernesto and his bar team are outstanding you can tell they genuinely love what they do and take care in every drink they prepare. Sandlewood s in house caterer, La Rue was outstanding the food was like nothing I have ever had. Richard and his wait staff were extremely helpful and accommodating to any questions and requests we had. In honesty the venue alone was out of this world but the people that we had the opportunity to meet while at Sandlewood were one of a kind. We never ran into anyone who was not overly kind and helpful. You can tell every single person there takes a genuine investment in your day and simply loves what they do.

Each of the 4 spaces in the venue have their own aesthetic that somehow work together while at the same time giving your guests multiple unique experiences on the same site! I also want to comment on how wonderfully staffed Sandlewood is! The Customer service by Ownership, Management, and event staff is hands down some of the best around. Truly lovely - we look forward to visiting again.

We were initially amazed at possibly having Sandlewood for our wedding and reception venue. We did the in person tour and everything. We sat down to hash out some of the details for the ceremonies after the tour with their secondary event coordinator. Apparently she would pass on the details to the primary event coordinator and finalize the details and the pricing. Everything seemed fine, but its been almost three months and havent heard a word back. Ive sent a couple of follow up emails and no response. No idea what happened or if they even wanted us as clients. Whatever the reason, absolute poor professionalism on their part.

I have had the opportunity to go to Sandlewood Manor on multiple occasions for a variety of events (from weddings to luncheons to Date Nights to meetings), and I have been impressed every time. First, the grounds and buildings are stunning ... all you need to do is visit and you will see this for yourself! Second, the attention to detail, not only of physical aspects throughout the property but also details within the events themselves, is exceptional. Third, the staff and owners are genuinely concerned about their clients and meeting their needs. I do not hesitate to recommend this venue for weddings, events, or meetings.

I ve had the opportunity of attending three beautiful weddings at Sandalwood Manor. In addition to the weddings I ve held two corporate gatherings in The Manor House and attended one of their tremendous date night events. The elegant and classic venue gives each guest the opportunity to step into a storybook experience. The staff gives careful consideration and attention to every detail making each client and their guest feel like the most important person in the room while providing top notch food and beverage selections. My husband and I have had the pleasure of attending two different events at Sandlewood Manor: One was an elegant wedding and the other was a corporate charity event. Both were superb! The first event was a wedding: We arrived early and and had time to stroll around the gorgeous grounds. We were even lucky enough to spend some time enjoying all of the different amenities (Manor House, Grooms Quarters, Chapel and Ballroom, which were all in close proximity to each other at the venue). It was a magical evening. The staff was extremely attentive to not only the wedding party, but to all of the guests. They always had smiles on their faces as they attended to everyones needs. The second event was a corporate charity fundraiser that included a silent auction. The chef prepared memorable hors doeuvres and a delectable meal that all attendees raved about, including a butternut squash soup that was out of this world. The charity event was successful beyond our expectations. It was the perfect choice of venues for this occasion, thanks to the exceptional service provided by the owner and staff of Sandlewood Manor. Both events were 5-star from start to finish.

I was the first South Asian multi-day event to happen at this venue. There were a lot of both positive and negative things that happened. I will say this though, I do recommend them for one day events. However, if having more than one day at this venue I DO NOT recommend. Pre Planning: I felt as if my planner and myself were constantly having to contact the venue coordinator to get answers. Never at any point did I feel reassured. I felt like every meeting was completed far too late according to my planners preferred timeline. The venue coordinator never returned answers or questions when she said she would in a timely matter. I know several details were missed throughout the entire weekend though I personally reminded the venue coordinator throughout meetings. I again never trusted the venue coordinator and had several serious conversations with the owner and was promised that more attention would be given to my wedding and it never was. Again, if you are doing a one day event I definitely think they are more than capable of handling your event, however not for a large cultural multi day weekend. Issues: Now my wedding unfortunately occurred during very cold temperatures causing many things to malfunction. I do understand weather is outside the control of the venue, however resolutions to problems should be fast and quick, which did not happen at all. These are the following issues and problems I had during my wedding weekend: -I was promised breakfast (pastries, baked good, something light) all weekend for myself, groom, and my parents....we never got ANYTHING. -There was no hot water in the bridal suite or main bathroom the WHOLE WEEKEND. So we had to wake up extra early to all take showers one at a time.....it never was fixed the whole weekend. -The elevator broke and never was fixed during the weekend. My poor mother who has arthritis had to go up and down flights of stairs constantly all weekend. -On friday night during my event, the bathrooms stopped working, this was probably the most embarrassing issue. However, this is not a norm. It was due to the water freezing due to the temperatures, but still very embarrassing for my guests. -There was a water leak in the kitchen on thursday night -Golf cart transportation being provided to the bride was forgotten about unless asked -The day of the wedding my groom could not get into his quarters until someone woke up and answered our barrage of phone calls even though we were promised the entire property for the weekend -Our mimosa bar for the morning of the wedding for the bridal suite was forgotten of -The keg promised to the groom suite morning of the wedding was forgotten of, later promised to be brought out during cocktail hour never was so we never got it at all -We packed up sunday late morning and again did not have access to the property when we needed to pack up items in the ballroom hall Again. I do not want this review to seem as if the experience was terrible. It was a dream come true, however I would not suggest this venue for a cultural multi day weekend event. I do however suggest this venue for a one day event. In conclusion, I wish there were more staff readily available to me, vs. me the bride calling and texting them. My planner and I had the absolute worst communication possible with the venue coordinator. It was the most anxiety driven experience ever. It made the wedding planning process a complete nightmare for me.

Upon turning into this gated beauty canopied by embracing oak trees, your eyes may first be set on horses grazing in the field or perhaps you may first notice a beautiful gazebo reaching out and overlooking a pond surrounded by majestic trees, but then your eyes will fall upon the Manor, Sandlewood Manor! A beautiful fountain will welcome you at the front of the manor. As you walk across the front porch and enter into the foyer your breath will be taken away from the grandeur of this architectural masterpiece. Here your eyes may first fall on the glistening crystal chandeliers hanging to the left, right and up above. Directly to your right your eyes will set its sight on the sitting room with its inviting grand piano or they may fall upon the staircase that leads to the Bridal and Overnight Suites. Sandlewood Manor is one of the most beautiful wedding venues I have had the pleasure to host my daughters wedding reception. This venue is absolutely gorgeous! With its breathtaking views both inside and out, Sandlewood Manor is the place to hold your wedding reception or any function you may want to host. But for our family and for me in particular, the people who were chosen or assigned to assist us made it all the more a beautiful place to hold this special special day. Ashley, our coordinator, was delightful and absolutely wonderful! She listened intently to our ideas to achieve the ambiance of this place to match the love and beauty of the couple celebrating their union. She was attentive to us all down to the last detail. Ashley took the time to speak to us even when we showed up unexpectedly. I am forever grateful for her patience and kindness. La Rue Catering, the in-house caterer for Sandlewood Manor is unbelievably amazing!! Everything was delicious!! Everything was so amazing at the tasting it was hard to choose what we were to serve our guest for the wedding. During the cocktail hour, our guests were treated on the most mouthwatering appetizers imagined. For the reception, we chose to do buffet style to best accommodate our guest. We also chose to do a late-night snack which wowed our crowd! I can not express enough how wonderful it was to work with La Rue Catering. Chef Andrew and Mrs. Karen along with the abundant staff should be most commended for their professionalism and service!!! Though there were hiccups along the way and we had many last-minute guests cancel due to hurricane Ida and immediate family covid patients, we could not have been happier having our daughter s wedding at Sandlewood Manor. We recently used Sandlewood Manor as one our main locations for a film in September 2021. The experience was beyond 5 stars!! Shane Naylor was our main coordinator and she is SPECTACULAR!! She was never far away when anything came up that we needed. She was with us every step of the way during our long 12 hour days. The other supporting staff we had the pleasure of working with were Jael and Ashley! All of these ladies went above and beyond the meet the needs of our cast and crew. The celebrity cast loved the property so much that they opted to move inside to the luxurious rooms in the Manor House for the days we were there instead of spending the days in their trailers on set. There is ample parking to meet all production vehicles needs and the beauty of the property gave us great production value. The ballroom is large enough that we were able to use it as a multipurpose room for various departments. And the Bridal suite has a state of the art make up station in it so it was an extra bonus for our make up department to move from their trailer to inside the beautiful property as well. I would recommend this venue to anyone who is seeking to host any large or small event. And specifically if you are filming and the look and logistics fits what you are looking for, I HIGHLY recommend Sandlewood Manor for a production location.

Sandlewood Manor is an amazing luxury venue for a weddings and events. Ive had the pleasure of attending 2 events here and the food and beverage are unmatched. The venue coordinators (Ashley & Shane) are incredible and display an eagerness to help in any way they can which is hard to find nowadays. Not to mention the location is perfect with plenty of accommodations and activities for out of town guests within a few miles of Tomball and The Woodlands area. I paid them over $6000 in deposit in beginning of March 2020 for my event in October. Due to lock downs and pandamic, we had to cancel our reception. They refused to refund my deposit. They did nothing and kept my hard earn money.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this venue and the staff. First, the venue itself is just beautiful and because there is so much room, our extended wedding party was able to enjoy being together all day. Secondly, the owners, (Lauren and Shawn) and the coordinators (Shane and Ashley) could not have been more kind and helpful. They actually anticipated our needs before we ask. It was so evident that they truly cared and wanted this day to be special for all of us, right down to every little detail! And then there was the food, LaRue Catering did an amazing job. I enjoyed working with Karen to plan the menu, she was helpful and assured me that everything would be fine and it was. Overall, Sandlewood Manor exceeded my expectations in every way. When we were looking at venues, we looked at everything From aesthetics, cost & functionality. The one thing we never expected any venue to do was to step up and act like family! Not just with kindness and open arms but sandlewood manor truly stepped up! Anything can happen on weddings days but it is how it s handled that matters Every single person at Sandlewood Manor stepped up in a way that is not expected from any venue. If it wasn t for the AMAZING Sandlewood staff the day would not have happened. They were the family members who arrive early to help set up, handle things without asking and stay until the bitter end to help clean up! You aren t just getting the most beautiful wedding venue in the Houston surrounding area you are getting a company who cares just as much as you do about your special event and who will do anything to make it happen! Anyone can rent you a space but it takes a special company to make sure it goes off as planned. We went to a lovely wedding here. Some added signage would have been helpful. There are many outbuildings and we didnt know where to go when each stage of the festivities was in a different building. Also, it would have been nice to have some tall tables outside. The grounds are lovely and everyone wanted to mingle outside during cocktails, but with a drink in one hand and a plate in the other it was hard to enjoy the food. As most people are more comfortable outside in large groups these days, having some seating outside would have been appreciated!

I was hired by the couple to be their day of coordinator at Sandlewood Manor. First of all, the venue is breath taking. It has a beautiful Manor House for bridal suite and downstairs cocktail. You also have the option of staying over night. The new chapel is perfect and they thought of everything with the restrooms at the front, as well as two double doors for the bride and whoever is walking her down the aisle to get prepped prior to walking down in the AC. It is a blank slate to be decorated however the couple sees fit. The manor house has a piano and the venue has a great recommendation for the player during cocktail hour. (The MOB from my wedding was so glad they added this at the last minute.) The grooms cottage has a pool and they are able to grill and swim while they are hanging out, it is so nice they have their own space that is not a closet (like a lot of other venues). It is also nice that it is not in the same building as the bride so she can freely walk around the Manor House. The Barn as they called the big reception space is anything but a barn. The chandeliers are to die for and the venue provides all tables and chairs as well as set up and break down of them according to the floor plan you send. The venue comes with staff and if you thought I was babbling before, hold on to your seats! THE STAFF HERE IS AMAZING. The catering staff, the bar staff, the venue staff TRULY went above and beyond on every. Single. Front. I want to give a very special shout out to Laura, the venue coordinator, for her attentiveness and responsiveness. She is super easy to get along with and very personable. She helped with everything on the venue side and was there anytime I had a quick question or needed anything. If youre looking for a venue, please go see for yourself everything Sandlewood Manor has to offer, you wont regret it!

Cancel the dorje us venue. We attended a gala with about 200 people the PA system was good mikes for the band were good lots of space for the silent auction a big bar. The only thing they need some outdoor lighting when you leaving after 10:30 at night because cars are coming up that long driveway and people are going out to get cars out of valet and theres no outdoor lighting. Otherwise this venue is absolutely perfect.

Beautiful venue with charm and style in abundance! The manor was beautifully decorated and made for an outstanding place to have a wedding reception. The ballroom was large and beautifully decorated. The food was delicious and the staff was amazing! The other bonus was the outdoor setting of this beautiful venue! Horses greeted us as we drove up and there was a beautiful pond with a pier! This place is very nice on the outside and inside. But the first problem I have with this place is that some how my friends 5 tier wedding cake was only cut into about 40 thinly sliced pieces and the rest of this HUGE cake went missing. There was more than enough for everyone to get seconds and thirds. The second problem I have with this place is that the food was completely different from what we had at the tasting and some people didnt even get to eat because the staff had thrown out the food after an hour. My friend and her husband paid thousands of dollars to have their wedding here and got shorted out on the food and cake they paid for. These people saw generous wealthy people and took advantage.
