We hosted a 40th birthday party at Ella s Garden and I have to say everything was perfect. It was the perfect size and very accommodating for ALL our needs. The staff was friendly and super helpful everything went off without a hitch. I would highly recommend Rachael for your wedding, party, or any event at Ella s Garden.

This venue for the price was okay. The communication was severely lacking. I Loved my wedding but a few things could have gone better. My first issue was the extra venue time I had done a first look and got ready at the venue and before we booked the owner recommended doing photos before if we wanted more venue time and that wouldn t cut into our time. The package did say 4 hr event and 3 hr dress ,but I told her I wanted to get ready 1130am and take photos starting at 3pm. Based off how she worded it I didn t understand it would be an additional charge. (It did state in the contract extra dress time would be additional) This could have been cleared up before hand when I added arrival time in early Dec nothing was said ,and asked if I owed anything additional in late February she said I was all paid up. She also did send me the excel spreadsheet that was very confusing since I don t use excel meant to show me everything I paid for and what was owed but when sent was never completely accurate/ updated. I was also very stressed at this point because it was 3 weeks before my wedding and I was the one following up on it which is why I even received it then. I also did not bring a lot of decor just a few signs and party favors to put out, It was a nice touch she had a basket that held the candy I brought; however the bags of flower petals that I wanted to be thrown on us after getting married were never placed on the chairs. When I brought this up to her she insisted they were. I recently provided video of the chairs where you can clearly see no petals and all I got was an I m sorry I missed that detail. I m very disappointed because not only did I spend money on them and not get them back; I felt gaslighted and missed out on a photo I really wanted. One other thing to note is they send a DJ list of what you do and don t want him to play and give a bunch of popular ones we had selected not to play the wobble and it was still played. We also requested our first song be cutoff after 1.5 minutes (we re not dancers) and my husband had to do the throat thing like that s enough. Other that that the DJ was great read the room really well and all the music flowed nicely for all the different things we were doing. The bar was supply it yourself which saved us a bunch of money just had to pay the bar fee of $150 and the alcohol I made bar menus and had signature drinks. I informed the owner how they were supposed to be made. The bar tender was making them wrong and putting triple sec in the berry lemonade. My mom told her she was making it wrong since she helped me decide and the bar tender told her no so I went up there and had to tell her how they were supposed to be made. I also want to clarify that when they say a simply 3 tiered cake is included in the price they mean plain white buttercream and the cake anything else will cost you $50 (for adding color) + and did not feel that was accurately represented to us. Though the cake was beautiful and delicious. The owner(who is the day of coordinator) is very nice ,but it seems she has to much on her plate letting my special day and the thing I wanted be just a small details she forgot.

Ella s Garden was the perfect place for our wedding! The venue is perfect and our coordinator Jackie was absolutely amazing! The DJ Dave was great and the staff was friendly. We also had our catering with lighthouse catering and it was the best! Bavarian Cakery is also a preferred vender and the barvarian cheesecake was delicious! I highly recommend Rachael and her team! If you re even thinking about booking your wedding venue here - do it. There is something very beautiful and magical at Ella s Garden that speaks for itself. We were looking for a venue that was intimate and beautiful and this was exactly it. I was not a hands on bride/ a planning bride so I knew this place was perfect. Rachael was an absolute dream to work with from the beginning. Everything was so easy and I never had to worry about a thing. Rachael continuously followed up and was so incredibly easy and nice to work with. From decor to cake decisions to food decisions- she was there for us every step of the way. On the day of, she made me feel so at ease and guided us every step of the way. If I could go back with all the money in the world and re do everything- I would still choose Ella s Garden every single time. We had the wedding we envisioned without knowing how to even explain it. Rachael- your venue is amazing and so beautiful -I can t even explain how special everything was thanks to you. You were a blessing and absolute pleasure to work with! 10 out of 10 highly recommend!!! Sooooo happy we chose Ella s Garden!!! It made it completely stress-free with planning. Rachael planned everything for us, answered all of our questions, and made our night run SO smoothly. This venue is gorgeous and has so many beautiful opportunities for pictures. We loved how so much was included- dressing rooms, cake, DJ, food, decor, etc. so we didn t have to stress about coordinating. Between just moving a month ago, this venue was exactly what we needed. I had a *very* small (about 40) wedding and this was the perfect venue for it. Rachael makes it super simple and anxiety relieving to plan your wedding with her, and shes so easy to work with. The whole process was fantastic, not to mention easy and the day of was perfect. Its very easy to tweak what you want depending on your budget. The location is very cute as well, I loved the gazebo! Kristin, DJ Dave, Steve the Officiant and the wait staff were amazing, they helped our evening run incredibly smoothly. I dont think I would have changed a thing :)!

Rachel would get 100 stars from me if I could give that many! If you re looking for a beautiful place with a professional coordinator, then this is the place to go! Rachel is awesome, honest, and up front. A lot is included in your price, and she makes everything easier. There is so much stress when you plan a wedding, but I honestly did not feel stressed knowing Rachel would take care of so much for me. The venue was very nice and I am so happy I chose Ella s garden. There has been some remodeling lately and I think it has made the venue even more elegant and wonderful. Her preferred vendors were just as wonderful to work with and our food from Mel s cafe was amazing (they offered us a vegan option as well). Bavarian Cakery also offered a separate vegan cake for our vegan family and friends. Exquisite Reflections did our hair and makeup and they were amazing as well. I would not change one thing about our wedding day. I chose #elitephotography for our photos, and A.D. was amazing. CHOOSE ELLA S GARDEN. It was the most hassle free and wonderful experience that I could have ask for to plan and have my wedding. Two of my cousins were married here as well and their days were just as beautiful as mine!

My husband and I got married June 27th, 2020. Things had just started opening again from covid and we did not know what to expect to happen. We originally were going to have just a ceremony here but literally days before our wedding a lot of bad happened and we panicked. Rachael helped us tremendously to squeeze our wedding in on a Saturday afternoon. We did an inside ceremony and it was set up beautifully and quick transformation into reception. It was amazing. She is well organized and was on top of everything. She made our day stress free. The reception, our food and dj, and everything was on point. The staff kept it clean and served the food and drinks well. Our friends and family enjoyed our big day tremendously and we had some travel from Indiana. It was a blast and we are so happy we ended up doing everything here at Ellas Garden. It was worth it. I could not be happier with how my wedding turned out.

If u could give 999 stars I would. RACHEL did everything. EVERYTHING. And shes not sleazy and she actually saved us a bit of money. Never upselled. Reminded us about like EVERYTHING. Super organized. Calm. Our wedding was one of the best days of our lives because of her. If we could get married again we would do it right at this location. Edit: FIRST of all to the 1 star review below: Im a black woman and not at all a family member also Rachel didnt ask me to do this. Rachel has changed the layout of the serving to where the food is brought out to the attendees. The beer could not have possibly been old because you buy your OWN beer. If its old then its your fault. The bride and groom brings their own alcohol. Our food was pretty good so I cant speak for her food. We chose Rudys and I really recommend that you choose that one as well. Cant speak on everything else because maybe her wedding had rain etc and I didnt park myself or really use the sidewalks. To people reading this: seriously dont think Im affiliated. We paid good money for this wedding and we got great service period.

Been to a couple of weddings here. The layout of the reception facility is awful. The room for the dinner line is RIGHT next to the only downstairs bathroom. The way the line goes has traffics flow going both ways through a little hallway. It s really not good. The ceremony location outside garden is nice, but the train is right behind. I would recommend planning the ceremony for a time when you know a train will not be going by. Seems like a nice budget-friendly venue for weddings.

Only 1 restroom downstairs that is only for 1 person at a time. No sidewalks to get to the venue so bring flats or tennis shoes. Most of the parking was far. Drinks were really bad! From the beer to the margaritas. I think the beer was old. All of the good ratings must have been from the owners relative & friends. Food was not good at all.

I just attended a wedding here, and I had to write a review because not only is the facility beautiful, but the staff is terrific! The venue offers an outdoor setting with concrete walkway, plenty of green grass, and a beautiful gazebo. There were other outdoor pretty things, but I dont know how to describe them. Once we headed indoors for the reception, the large space still had beautiful views of the outdoors. The table settings were lovely; the lights were adjusted and designed for each specific part of the evening, and the staff moved around the space easily and without intruding on the event. Speaking of the staff, the owner was terrific! She was helpful, patient, and accommodating. The rest of the staff followed her example. I asked a male bartender for a safety pin; he knew what I was asking for and found one! The owner overheard a specific need of my moms and stepped in quickly to offer ideas and assistance. This is a beautiful place with awesome people!

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Ella s Garden in March of this year following our ceremony at a nearby church. Rachel was helpful and easy to work with throughout the planning process, which was incredibly helpful because of our life circumstances at the time. I was out of state and in the midst of an incredibly stressful full-time internship for the first 5-6 months of planning, and Rachel was very accommodating despite my inability to meet her in person until 6 months before the wedding. She met with my husband on several occasions while I was out of state, and I appreciated that she made an effort to include him fully in the planning process. In addition to an enjoyable planning process, everything went smoothly the day of the wedding. The DJ played music throughout the night that got people dancing, the cake was beautiful and delicious, and the decor was exactly what we wanted. The only issue we encountered was that the food at the first tasting was incredibly bland and over-buttered. However, when we spoke with Rachel about our concerns, she helped organize a second tasting and ensured that the caterer followed through on our requests for less butter and more seasoning. The food the night of the reception was well-seasoned and delicious.

I attended a wedding reception at this location recently. Everything was ok. The food was good but served a little on the cold side. The cake was average but not in a bad way. The staff was mostly attentive save the few times I had to wait for them to get off their phones. The DJ was...interesting to say the least. If it wasnt for him I might actually recommend this place. The grounds were nice and well kept. The interior was pretty and the entire process was well organized. All in all, a solid 3 stars.

Ellas Garden was the perfect spot and offered packages that came with DJ/music, lighting, catering, wedding cakes and decorations. Rachael was AMAZING! She was so helpful in planning the wedding. She is very organized and detail oriented. We held the ceremony outside and the reception inside the house. We couldnt have been happier and would recommend Ellas Garden to our friends and family.

Lovely, quiet place for a great wedding. It was a short celebration in my opinion (7pm to 11pm) but the place was comfortable and inviting and we had a great time. My wife and I married here back in April of 2014, and it would be tough to ask for more from a venue. Their prices were reasonable, they had a slew of package options and add-ons, and they really let us make our wedding custom - a definite plus in our case, since we had very non-traditional ideas about how our wedding should go. Our coordinator (Shelley) and DJ/Minister (Pat) were a pleasure to work with and really went the extra mile to be accommodating and friendly; they even brainstormed with us quite a bit to help with the details we hadnt quite nailed down yet in the weeks leading up to the ceremony. Setup and breakdown of our (copious) custom decorations was quick and painless (courtesy of Shelley). Custom vows/ceremony/music, and video games instead of dancing, all seamless (thanks to Pat). We both really appreciated the help, guidance, and especially can-do attitude we got here. Youd be hard-pressed to do better than Ellas for a wedding. I will say, Ellas isnt the type of place that normally does that kind of thing, at least from pictures it normally looks like they handle EVERYTHING for you (which is really nice for some people). They do ask you to fill out a form listing everything you will be bringing on the wedding day and you cant set up early (one of the things I was nervous about). They let you bring all of your decorations on friday night and when I arrived on Saturday several hours before the ceremony they had set up every little thing I had brought perfectly (centerpieces were stacks of books with vases and scrabble tiles with words, very detailed), I didnt have to tweak a single thing. I had heard a few things about the wedding coordinator there, named Shelley, but I really dont understand what those people are talking about. She is a get things done kind of woman, I dont think theres any way for a wedding coordinator to be successful without being that way. She handled everything, never seemed stressed and calmed me down so many times. Every time someone would come to me with a question or complaint she would intercept them and get whatever needed to be done, done. I loved her, she was great. Everyone there was great. We set up our contract and everything with Pat, who we loved and were hoping would be our DJ. We ended up getting the other DJ, Andrew, who was awesome as well! I have nothing but nice things to say about this place. Such a pretty venue for an outdoor wedding. I never actually take the time to write reviews, but I felt like I had to write one for them after all the work they put in to make my wedding perfect. They could charge way more for their venue than they do, in my opinion.

My daughter sought out several venues before choosing Ellas Garden. They decided it was the perfect fit for them. Shelley is an excellent coordinator. She welcomed our questions and concerns during the planning stages. And took control of all the set up and happenings at the actual event. The entire venue was amazing! Everything came together nicely and now we have such sweet memories of her Big Day! Thank you Ellas Garden, Shelley, and staff for ensuring that everything was perfect! I highly recommend this venue to all future couples!

Just a perfect place to have a small wedding. My wife and I got married a couple weeks ago here at Ellas Garden. Compared to majority of the other venues across Greater Houston, this one offers the most services that are included (food, cake, dj, etc), and also has beautiful nature backdrop for great photo opportunities outside. More included services, means less that WE have to coordinate. Its also clean and not worn out like so many other venues we visited. Its also one of the most affordable venues. So it was a no brainer for us. Shelly, the coordinator/manager, is an excellent planner and from the moment we had our first meeting with her, we could tell she has a lot of experience. She was able to accommodate all of unique requests to make it our special night. Our observations on her planning abilities were accurate when our wedding went on without a hitch, guiding us throughout the night, and we were able to focus on having fun! In regards to the other review here, we got our deposit check back promptly. So, its apparent they have fine tuned the business here over the years. If you are having a small wedding (I think max it can hold is 150-200 ppl) in the near future, be sure to visit Ellas Garden.
