The staff really made up for the rest of the experience here. Hibachi is something we always do for birthdays so weve been to quite a few over the years. This is one that Ive always heard about and always wanted to be able to say Ive been. Well now I can, and its not the best Ive had. Our waitress was amazing and our chef was funny and did such a good job. The food just wasnt worth the price tag. However, I can now say Ive gotten to experience a place so many talk about.

DO NOT RECOMMED THIS LOCATION!! The food was very disappointing at this location. I understand we got the $40 special but geez. I got the pork pot sticker appetizer, they came out ICE COLD. I had the waiter touch them and she said the same thing therefore they had to remake them.. ultimately they ended up coming out with the entree instead but at least they were hot. For the main course I ordered spicy chicken hibachi and rice with garlic butter and yum yum sauce; I ended up with plain chicken fried rice that was cool at best and the chicken was also not spicy. So they had to remake the rice which still came out not spicy but it was hot. I finally tracked down a waiter to bring the spicy sauce and was brought a teriyaki sauce. The only good experience were the drinks (just dont order margaritas), the salad was fresh along with the dressing, and as usual the soup was good. The bartenders tried their best to assist us so big shout out to them as well!

Dietary restrictions: Half of the party was gluten free so they prepared our food first then the other half. It was appreciated. I kept confirming to make sure and Manny, the chef reassured me. Kid-friendliness: My daughter was nervous about being at the grill and seeing the fire, Manny promised to warn her in advance and did just that. He made the experience entertaining and comfortable for all my kids who are under 9. We were celebrating my 5 yr kid s birthday and they did a wonderful job making him feel special. We got seated about five minutes after our reservation (5:45pm). Several minutes went by before the manager came to take our drink and appetizer orders because the server was tied up . Our server popped by a bit after and took the table s order. Our drinks showed up after the appetizer was served - nobody got an alcoholic beverage. One of the drinks was missing and it took about 12 minutes for that missing sparkling water to appear. We were seated for 32 minutes before the soup got to our table. Several more minutes go by and the server mentions that our chef should be out shortly and thanked us for our patience. At about 45 minutes after we were seated, all we had were our drinks, the appetizer and soup and salad. I got up and asked the manager about what the wait time was. I mentioned the wait time and how we were ready to walk out. It is not acceptable to wait nearly an hour for an entree. Our chef magically appears shortly after this. The food wasn t bad. It wasn t great either. It was our first Benihana experience but not our first hibachi/teppanyaki experience. We thought that such a big named restaurant would have much better service and food. At the end of the meal, the manager came by and offered complimentary appetizer/dessert voucher. He tried to make it right. Be prepared to wait. It was not that busy when we were seated and it took 54 minutes before our chef started preparing our food. I don t know what the situation was - but there needs to be more said than tied up or a little busy. Be transparent with your patrons. If something happens that affects the quality of the food and/or service, your paying customers deserve to know that. Cause you know damn well, you being on the flip side would want to know too.

I was brought to Benihana, my absolute favorite restaurant, for my birthday. When you set 10 grown adults at a table and expect them to be able to eat comfortably and enjoy their meal, joke was on us. There was no justifiable reason why they needed to squeeze 10 grown adults on an eight person table. Some of us had to sit back in order to eat and some of us just couldn t even enjoy ourselves. Worst experience at woodlands Benihana. I would never recommend anyone to come to this restaurant. . I had an unfavorable experience here for lunch on my daughter s 14th birthday. When we arrived I pulled aside the host at the front desk and told him it was my daughter s birthday. I was shocked when his response was what are you telling me for? I told him I thought you can possibly sing happy birthday or acknowledge her at some point as I have seen it done for other people. The host replied by saying all we will do is give her a desert or something. I said well that s fine. To make matters worse the host then came to the table and said I hope I m not ruining your surprise, but if you get the app you can get $30 off right in front her. I casually responded and said thank you. The Chef was great and entertaining, but after we received the bill there was still no desert or anything. I went to the host and reminded him that it was her birthday again and he seemed bothered. Another manager of some sort intervened and said oh they must I have forgot to cover for him. We already were waiting for some time and the entire mood was ruined. Not to mention what he told us that ruined my daughters surprise about $30 off that day was not factual and would only be valid the next year. This is supposed to be the type of restaurant you go to celebrate and experience good vibes, but for some reason that was not the case on that day.

Chef Lionel was amazing and his theatrical act was very fun to watch, full of energy. The food was well seasoned, cooked, and he served it so delicately. The waiter named Matt had really good manners, a great presentation, a friendly smile, and listened to everything we wanted with no hesitation. We were also greeted by the Manager named Mandy, and she was very nice as well.

We celebrated my daughters graduation dinner at Benihanas Woodlands location. The service was exceptional. The manager Mandy Sebesta made sure that her graduation dinner was perfect. The staff were so helpful and polite. The party didnt have to ask for refills they made sure the glasses stayed full. Both chefs were engaging, and the food was delicious. Her guest are still talking about how much they enjoyed themselves and how great the service was. When I went in to book the party, Mandy was extremely professional, and I felt confident that everything would go smoothly. I must say they truly exceeded our expectations. Thanks to Mandy and her entire staff. You guys are amazing!!!

We didn t have a reservation so there was a brief wait, but it was worth it! I went with my wife, my two daughters (6 and 1), and my mother-in-law.
