I had brunch there this past Sunday. I ordered the short rib chilaquiles. It was barfworthy. Couldn t even eat it and others I saw around me left it untouched as well. It s like nachos covered in canned wolf brand chili. Absolutely nothing else. Might be back to try something different but just for the vibe, love all the decor. The wait staff was 5/10. Definitely had to flag her down when we needed things most of the time. Overall disappointed for my first experience there. I don t think the group I was with was all that impressed either. A friend ordered ricotta toast. It was just a singular piece of toast with ricotta for like $13 I was shocked honestly.

This restaurant has a lot to offer. Everything was fresh, the pork candy was an interesting take on seared pork belly with a signature sauce and house made kimchi. I dont like kimchi, I LOVED THIS DISH it was that delicious. And the sugar barrel steak with the cowboy butter was cooked to my liking and easily one of the best tender steaks Ive ever had in a long time. I highly recommend this place! Definitely want to come back sometime soon our waiter was also super kind and was very attentive to all of us. thank you for a great time out with friends!

Came in for lunch in a Friday. First impression is it s very swanky with fun seating but it was absolutely freezing and the lights are turned way too low (I m saying this as someone in their 20s with good eyesight). It was moderately busy but our server was also the only bartender so she was extremely busy and we waited ages to get more drinks, for her to bring us the check and for her to come back and get our cards. My friend had the BLT, I had one of the sections from the Houston Restaurant menu which was very good, we also ordered the sweet potatoes which weren t fries but were in dry shape. They were a little too crunchy (undercooked) and they advertised goat cheese but there were about 3 pieces and zero seasoning, would not order again. I had a Paloma cocktail and thought it was really good. For 2 mains, one appetizer, and 4 total drinks it came to $140 Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly, it s a bar

Love the moodiness of the place as soon as you walk in. Such cool and creative pieces to decorate place. Went for drinks on a Saturday evening and the place was busy. We got sat outside and the sun had started to go down so it was def cooling down. The fans made a huge difference as well. Service was a little slow but that was expected with the amount of people that were there. Menu had different unique drinks so I went with a mezcal based drink that had banana incorporated into it. Loved that you could taste a bit of the sweetness and that the mezcals smokiness didn t overpower the cocktail. Overall nice experience.

We were running a few minutes late for our reservation so I called to see if it was still available. The girl that answered said yes it is. We walked in the door and the reception was rude, dry and lacking very basic greeting skills. We were seated with no word exchange what so ever. We waited 15-20 minutes, expecting at least a glass of water or a greeting from a server or something. Nothing ever happened. Our party of 4 was never even acknowledged, so we left and spent our time and money elsewhere. Very nice place, but the staff sure could use some training. We will not waste our time in this establishment again.

Stopped in here to simply pick up an order, and couldnt get help from anyone, its like I was literally invisible. Asked 2 different people for help, and they both seemed very annoyed by my very presence. Finally went to where I was told to go and was completely ignored while other people kept coming in and getting seated. Theres no doubt in my mind that the order I was there to pick up was ready the entire time, just nobody wanted to simply get it and hand it to me. Ridiculous

Firstly, I will say, that I am not one to leave a review, regardless of whether it was a good or bad experience, but this was very frustrating and disappointing! This was our first time to check this place out and had high hopes. We had a reservation. The restaurant itself was more than half way empty with nearly 6 tables (from what we could see) with reserved signs on them. If you have tables with a reserved sign on it and we had a reservation that was made more than 24 hours in advance, then why did we have to wait at the hostess stand for nearly 20 mins?? We had finally had it and said to cancel the reservation we will go elsewhere. Not sure we will be giving them another chance. We ended up at The Audrey and I have to say, the food, the service, the ambiance was IMPECCABLE! Some of the best we have ever had in a long time and we are big time foodies and high end restaurant goers.

just had to share my experience at this restaurant we visited during Houston Restaurant Week. The food was absolutely delicious! We went for their special course meal, and every dish was just fantastic. The atmosphere was beautiful as well, which really added to the overall experience. On top of that, the customer service was amazing. The staff was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend checking it out if you get the chance! You wont be disappointed!

Very cool place! Loved the vibe! The food was excellent and Lexi our server did a great job. We sat at a high top (stools without backs) but it was still really awesome! The fried pickles were extra delicious - can you make a dinner of them? We found parking very near and throughly enjoyed ourselves! Both our dishes were excellent! No room for dessert and they looked HUGE! It s on the repeat list - lots more yumminess to try!

We entered this establishment for Monday lunch. As we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted with a welcoming atmosphere with pleasant aromas filling our nose. Immediately behind the hostess stand was a full wall filled with various bottles of whiskeys. As we were seated by the hostess, we were promptly greeted by our server, who was very friendly. She took our drink order and, upon my asking about the whiskey selection, immediately took me to the whiskey wall and pulled out their whiskey bible of differing whiskeys and let me look it over to choose my drink. They had Blantons still available, so I took advantage and ordered that drink, which did not disappoint. My wife ordered the Good Life cocktail, which was slightly sweet and refreshing. We then ordered the Pig Candy appetizer. This appetizer was amazing. I would liken it to an upgraded bacon experience. The pork belly was cooked perfectly with the fat rendered down so that the meat almost completely melted in my mouth. As my wife described, it dissolved in my mouth like cotton candy. For the entrees, I ordered the 12 Hour Braised Beef Short Ribs with a side of the Maple Brussel Sprouts. The Brussel Sprouts were soft with a slight crunch and flavorful swret maple glaze in the bottom of the dish with the added crunch of small pecan chunks. The Braised Beef Short Rib was so tender that my fork was easily able to slice through the meat. The rib was juicy and had a slight peppercorn flavor that did not overpower the natural taste of the beef rib, when added to the bed of mashed potatoes it sat on there was in addition a slight earthy flavor in combination with the rib. My wife ordered the Sugar Barrel Steak with a side of Heriloom Tomato Soup. The steak was a perfect medium cook with a slight crust on the top of the steak. The butter spread well over the top and complimented the steak and its flavor well adding a little creamy and sweet flavor to the steak. The tomato soup was exactly as one would expect from a tomato soup. Overall, the experience was fantastic. The ambiance perfectly reflected the atmosphere this establishment was presenting. This is absolutely a place I recommend visiting.

Came here with a few friends for dinner last night for the first time: everything was delicious. My favorite was the braised short rib with crispy onions, mashed potatoes and Carlin green beans and mushrooms. I m still thinking about that meal it was SO good. The ambiance was super cute too. Our waitress Karli was beyond awesome! She was so attentive and sweet, my water glass was always full and she was always stopping by to see if we needed anything. Such a great experience, we will definitely be back!

Bosscat is a California chain with a vibe like an eclectic living room. The food is a mixture of subtle twists on classics that sometimes hit and sometimes miss, but just going for the unique atmosphere and great cocktails may be enough reason to give it a try. Replacing the old Berry Hill Mexican Restaurant, they kept the mixture of indoor and outdoor dining, but only a little else is recognizable. Ive eaten here five times, and the service has ranged from excellent to ok. They have a bank of TVs where you can watch sports, and the bar is usually pretty full. Ill keep going just for the brunch Flapp Jack (banana + almond protein pancakes) and to hang out at the bar. The main attraction here is the vibe and great booze.

We went for a work meeting with a table of 6. Our waitress was fantastic and gave great recommendations. I had the steak which unfortunately was so salty with the butter on top that I could only eat half and it was overcooked. (I asked for med rare). The banana pudding doesnt have any vanilla wafers, just crumbles on top, so I would actually recommend getting the apple dessert instead. My drink was great. My coworkers enjoyed the tomato basil soup and filet of fish. Short rib was good but the dish was over salted. Brussel sprouts were also salty.

My boyfriend and I have been together for a year now, in that year we have visited Bosscat pretty much every week and have deemed it as our place. The atmosphere is unmatched with dim lighting, awesome feel good music (tons of throwbacks), and full of people most nights! The service is amazing, we always feel accommodated and welcome! I have hosted two of my friends birthdays here and they have gone above and beyond to make them feel special with little personalized signs and all! Unfortunately, my visits here have died down recently because two of my favorite menu items have been removed, the garden flatbread and the kale goddess salad. I would order these every time I visited and they were DELICIOUS!! As a vegetarian it s hard to find things to eat at many restaurants so I was very pleased to find something I could eat and it was so good! I have tried other vegetarian menu options but none of them make me want to visit as frequently as we did. I still give this place 5 stars because everyone I have recommended it to LOVES it and the atmosphere is amazing, I will definitely be back for a drink and maybe the new street corn poppers!

Calling this place a disappointment is generous. Greeted by the strong smell of Tuna Fish immediately upon entering. Should have been our signal to pull a U-Turn. Totally sub par, poorly seasoned food. No ability to make very minor changes or substitutions. Absolutely beyond over priced. Compared to Sixty Vines or Tris the quality and pricing is beyond outrageous. Seated at a dirty table that we had to wipe down. Regret the visit, would not return, will suggest others to avoid.

We got our reservation fulfilled right on time. The hostess was accommodating and very pleasant, welcoming us with a warm smile. This was a spur of the moment reservation for my friends and I based on its proximity to the Cynthia Woodlands Pavilion for a concert we attended. Very pleased. We didnt want anything too heavy, and the menu had plenty of range for us. We ended up simply doing apps and drinks, and none of them disappointed in the least. My friend had a Blood Orange Paloma (spot on and delicious) and i had a glass of Cigar Box Malbec followed by the second best Old Fashioned I can recall ever being served. The Candied Pig, Fried Mushrooms and Pickled Veggies were outstanding and we left already planning our next visit. Our server was outstanding and we loved her. We got there just prior to happy hour and the place bloomed to life literally before our eyes. Seems to be a local go-to, and rightly so. Great atmosphere, cool patio, and the decor (circa early 20th centuryish?) really set off the vibe. I am a service industry veteran and lifer, and I absolutely recommend checking this place out.

The bread was oddly tasty with fully loaded butter flavors. The friend mushrooms were big and juicy, and I really like the dipping sauce comes with it. The presentations were great as well. Went here with a group of friends on a really busy Saturday evening. We were seated almost immediately on the patio and greeted by our server, Karli. Karli greeted us and answered our questions about the cocktail menu and offered her suggestions, which were SPOT ON. Our drinks and appetizers came out quickly and were awesome. Some of the best craft cocktails in The Woodlands. Karli let us enjoy our drinks and appetizers for a bit before coming back to take our orders for dinner. She knows the menu well and offered expert advice. Entrees and now drinks arrived quickly and everything was perfect. Really good food and atmosphere. The menu here is streamlined but very creative, and the food is prepared with care and plated in a very appealing manner. Bosscat Kitchen is super upbeat and has a really fun atmosphere. That, along with the TOP NOTCH service from Karli, and we are now hooked on Bosscat. Cant wait to go back

Disappointed. My friends and I went for happy hour last night. It was not busy at all yet we were seated at the very last table by the back door, all the lounge tables had reserved signs on them. The table we were seated at just doesn t give you the vibe of a happy hour in a bar. Also they need to work on the music selection, awful. However, the reason for my review is my cocktail. I get old fashions mostly everywhere. Traditionally they come with an orange slice or peel, as well as a cherry, preferably the dark cherries. At Bosscat however if you want a cherry in your old fashion, you have to pay $.50!!!!! This was such a turn off to both myself and my friend who had one as well. The second disappointment in the cocktails was if you order the happy hour old-fashioned you get ice cubes, if you spend the extra money and get a premium bourbon or whiskey in it you will get the traditional large ice cube. These little things are important to me, presentation is key. On the other hand, the food never disappoints it was amazing as always. The short rib grilled cheese is just delicious, the chicken meatballs I ve never had before, but will order again they were yummy! The butter burger is always delicious and we ordered the side of sweet potatoes, which were delicious as well. All in all a good experience, other than the cocktails.

My first time here, I went with two out-of-state friends. On December 27, 2023. Our server, Gabe, was excellent. The atmosphere is inviting. You walk right into the bar area, which is nicely decorated; the seating is inside or out. We sat inside. The food was at the right temperature, and the food plating was okay and prepared nicely; we ordered hamburgers and lunch specials that came with appetizer choices. We were not served bread on the table as others had. I did not ask because they did not offer it. Unfortunately, looking back on their website, I could not find the description for our food; I apologize and will do my best to describe it. The dip was excellent with homemade chips; the hamburgers were cooked to the customers liking, the fries were ok, and the sandwich was tasty; however, it fell apart. The shrimp was very tasty, and the special chicken salad bowl was delicious. We carried out beignets they were delicious! I recommend this place for a place to stop and have a quick lunch.

Last night, a dinner at Bosscat for a party of eight offered a mixed experience. The highlight of the evening was the attentive service, yet several aspects fell short of expectations. Unfortunately, the most significant concern was with the food quality, particularly the salmon. Three guests who consumed it experienced illness shortly after the meal, raising serious concerns about its freshness. Notably, the salmon had an unusual odor when served, but this was not addressed with the staff at the time. In terms of ambiance, Bosscat presents a vibrant, albeit loud atmosphere. This lively setting might not be conducive to conversation, which could be a downside for those seeking a quieter dining experience. The drink selection, another crucial aspect of any restaurant experience, was underwhelming. Specifically, the wine served appeared to have been from a bottle that had been opened for an extended period, leading to a spoiled taste. This issue was significant enough to necessitate returning the wine. A disappointing post-visit experience compounded these issues. When attempting to contact the restaurant regarding the suspected foodborne illness, there was no direct line to speak with someone. The only option available was to leave a voicemail, which can be frustrating for customers seeking immediate assistance or feedback. In summary, while the service at Bosscat was commendable, the issues with the food quality, particularly the salmon, and the challenges with the drinks and post-visit communication significantly marred the overall experience. These areas present opportunities for improvement to ensure a better dining experience for future patrons.

Went here for brunch, the interior is fantastic and the service is good but the food is atrocious especially for the prices they charge. $5 for barely passable diner coffee when a good latte at a specialty coffee shop will run you about $4.25 max, truly embarrassing. I got The Old Faithful, which is a classic eggs your way dish was sad and bland, basically cafeteria food. It s a shame because the atmosphere is great but they really need to improve the quality of their food.

I went on a Sunday afternoon before rush hour. The staff were inattentive and seemed put off by us asking for more drinks. The food was not really on the healthy side. We initially sat at a table, but after waiting over 10 minutes to even get waited on and another 15 for drinks on a day where very few people were in the restaurant, we left the table and went to the bar before the drinks arrived. After we saw the waiter laughing it up towards the back of the restaurant, we had seen enough and tried our luck at the bar. The bartender must have sensed or heard we were put off by the waiters apathy and proceeded to provide the same level of service. There are better options than Bosscat.

It was my first time visiting this restaurant and I feel quite ambivalent about my visit. We ordered the salmon and the steak, the salmon was good however the steak was overcooked and we had to send it back, now the real issue occurred when the manager came to the table and put a flashlight to show us that it was a medium rare, that steak was pink and about to go for well done. When we told him that it s tough and not medium rare he stated that it is in fact medium rare and that their steaks are tough. I have never been to a restaurant where the manager approached my table to argue back and disrespect me. This visit was unpleasant and ruined our dinner date, we felt uncomfortable the entire time after that. Not only that but the table is next to where the food comes out and he was standing there and talking to other employees and would look at our table and laugh.

Can t speak on the food because we ended up leaving. We were seated immediately and the hostess was nice, but we waited over 15 minutes without anyone so much as approaching our section. That paired with the VERY loud music didn t seem like a great time, so we ended up leaving. We had a great dinner with amazing drinks at Tommy Bahama. I d highly recommend their ahi tacos and crab bisque, if you end up waiting too long for attention at bosscat.

When we ventured into this restaurant, we were greeted with a smile. The atmosphere is transporting you to another time and place. Our server Abby was very throughout with caution about my seafood allergy. The potato soup had good flavor but the burger and sweet potatoes were where it hit home. The burger was juicy and I could taste the seasoning. The sweet potatoes fries had honey and feta cheese and were cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, the negative aspect of dinner was the price. It was an expensive night out where as if we were at Schillecis ordering the same, it d be a little less expensive. Overall, it s a great place to try out. Dietary restrictions: Allergies to fish and shellfish.

The food here is mediocre at best. Nothing to write home about. The vibe was amazing: great decor, dim at night, good music. The music was really loud though, so if youre trying to have an intimate conversation, this vibe aint it. Also, my husband ordered a Don Julio margarita that he orders everywhere and we usually pay around $20, this restaurant charged us $65 for this drink!! The drinks were good, so if you like getting ripped off, then I guess this is the place for you ;)

2 stars because this place is adorable and the waiter was very sweet. The rating is based off the food. Ordered the chicken sandwich and my brother ordered the kale salad. The chicken was extremely dry, no flavor just mayo, and the fries were undercooked, hard in the middle. We ordered the tuna tacos for an appetizer and it tasted like they topped it with sweet baby rays. So strange. I cannot recommend eating here based off of the food experience today.

We went for a birthday lunch and it was all around a great experience. I ordered a pig candy starter and a lunch special 2 for $24 with the cajun shrimp skewers and citrus pasta. The pig candy was very delicious, the cajun shrimp skewers were pretty good, and the citrus pasta was very tasty. Everything was in good proportions, although the pig candy was slightly too small to share. Gabby I believe was our server and she was great, she was nice, patient, helpful, and came around a few times to make sure everything was good. Inside the restaurant was very nice ambiance and lots of libations decorated the walls. Overall it was great and I would come back again soon.

By far one of the the best experiences I ve had. Yeah there were a few taste issues (my opinion) but overall TOP TIER. The decor and atmosphere are so freaking awesome nice chill vibes. We did not make a reservation (Thursday at 5). We were seated immediately. Gabby was our server and was very knowledgeable and friendly. I was there with all four of my grown kids We all ordered cocktails. Superb!! I had the Boss Lady and we all actually ordered seconds that s how good they were. We also ordered appetizers pulled pork hush puppies and spicy chicken cheese dip. The dip was excellent. The hush puppies were bland but they were served with a sweet sauce. In my opinion the hush puppies themselves should be seasoned so you can enjoy without the sauce. Dinner was ordered: catfish, steak, short ribs, striped bass and shrimp and grits. We also ordered a side of fries and Mac n cheese. Except for the shrimp and grits all dishes came with veggies and/or a type of risotto or potato. Everything was amazing. I personally ordered the catfish and it was cooked extremely well and seasoned. The only think in my opining that took away from the dish was it s served with a sauce that was more sweet than savory and it just didn t please MY tastebuds (my oldest daughter loved it so we switched dishes) she orders the striped bass and it was a nice fresh taste. Not overly seasoned but was just a nice dish. You could order it and be satisfied but you won t be blown away by it in my opinion. It s a solid dish. I tried my youngest daughters shrimp and grits and we both agreed that the sauce is not needed. It has a citrus zing that doesn t compliment it well and this could be because maybe the grits aren t seasoned. And because I make grits fabulously (my opinion) they were definitely different. I think the sauce takes away from the dish sauce is not needed if your grits are properly seasoned and cooked. But again just my opinion. I also got to try my youngest sons short ribs! AMAZEBALLS no changes needed as well as the steak superb. Lastly we ordered dessert..beignets and the fried apple pie!! The beignets are good but could be more airy to have that lighter touch but a solid sweet treat. The fried apple pie was the star. We think it was like a churro crust served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. OMG it was Fab. Again my opinion I would definitely come again. Give them a try you won t be disappointed. Can t wait to go for brunch.

I kinda wish they had a half portion just because it was a lot of food haha. But the price point for all the food was great and alsp came with a gooe portion of tator tots and dipping sauce! I also got a mimosa, casamigos margarita with tajin, and my husband got the Panama Prescription, which he said he enjoyed (small glass but yummy). The service was spectacular. Our waiter was so so sweet and attentive! We dont live near the woodlands but will definitely return to try more things on the menu.

First timer here. I got the Shrimp and Grits, The Bosscat burger and the Chicken Sausage Pasta. We have Beignets for dessert. Everyone enjoyed their food. The shrimp and Grits had a red sauce. The waitress side it was more on the creole/Cajun side. I eat Cajun food a lot so I was eager to try it. Its different. Probably will try something else next time. I really liked their toast. I believe it was sourdough, and it was perfectly crispy with a buttery taste. Burger and pasta were both enjoyed. We didnt try any beer or cocktails this time. Maybe next time. Our waitress was very nice. She helped with menu items and checked on us often. The place is beautiful. I loved the different areas with their own flair. They also ha e a large outdoor patio.

Was is racism or just a stupid policy? The place opens at 10am. We (2 people) walked in at 10:26am without a reservation. There were at most 5 tables with patrons in a decently large dining space. The hostess proceeds to seat us at says that they may have this table reserved at 12:30 and we would need to move to the bar at that time. WTH! Its not even 10:30am at a near empty large resturant. Why would we even be there for over 2hrs. We ate and paid, and then asked for the manager who said it was company policy for them to say that. Okay, but why not wait unitl it was around 12:00 to say something? That would have been understandable. There are many many places to eat with better food and without this policy in this city. There is no need for us and our freinds to go to any Basscat again. Thank you for being stupid, Basscat.

Have been wanting to try this place. The food was really good, both happy hour menu and regular menu. I feel like the regular menu could expand a bit more, none of the dishes jumped out at me on the entrees, so I just ate appetizers. The dessert was amazing! 1 out of 2 cocktails was good. Recommend the pineapple sage elixir. As far as their bourbon selection goes, I was disappointed. Over priced and not all was there as advertised online. I have been to many other restaurants with better bourbon selections. I ended up not even ordering bourbon and that was the primary reason I went.

First-time visitor. Absolutely impressed. This restaurant checks ALL the boxes. They have more than just good service. Waitstaff help each other out, and everyone seems to be happy to be there. They even have added touches, such as serving you a steak knife out of a special wooden box of utensils. A memorable flourish. Its more than just good food. Everything is intensely insanely delicious. I was impressed that they created an entirely new menu just for Houston Restaurant Weeks. Prices are reasonable, and actually theyre a bargain when you consider what youre getting. Unique decor. I couldnt figure out why there were so many old antique suitcases around, but a kind team member explained it. Some items found in those suitcases are on display in glass cases around the restaurant. Very interesting. Overall, this is one of the best restaurants, not just in The Woodlands, but anywhere. Stellar service, amazing food, comfortable atmosphere, reasonable prices, happy team. This place is all-around great in every department. Maybe that explains why theyre often crowded. Quality draws crowds. HIGHLY recommended.

I recently dined at Bosscat Kitchen & Libations in The Woodlands, TX, and my overall experience was rather disappointing. The atmosphere was noisy and tight, with very little room for walking and uncomfortably close table settings. It made for a somewhat cramped dining experience. Unfortunately, the food and drinks didnt leave a lasting impression. None of the dishes or beverages we tried stood out as amazing; everything was just mediocre. Its a shame because I had hoped for some standout flavors or unique combinations, but it fell short in that aspect. On a positive note, the service provided by our waiter was good. They were attentive and quick to address our needs. However, great service alone couldnt make up for the lackluster dining experience. One aspect that disappointed me was the lack of unique or creative menu items. I had expected Bosscat Kitchen & Libations to offer something different or innovative, but that wasnt the case. The menu seemed rather ordinary, lacking any exciting culinary surprises. Based on my visit, I cant say that I would highly recommend Bosscat Kitchen & Libations to others. While the service was decent, the overall experience left much to be desired. It felt like a one-time visit, and I wont be rushing back anytime soon.

We decided to try Bosscat for the first time today and went for brunch. After reading a lot of positive reviews, I was hoping for a tasty meal. First it took a good several minutes for our server to come visit us, he said he was waiting for another tables food to come up. By the time he made his way over to us, we had plenty of time to review the menu and be ready with our order. One thing that wouldve been nice is a kids menu. If they had one, it was never offered to us by either the hostess or our server. My wife ordered shrimp and grits, my son and I both ordered pancakes - mine with bacon and his with sausage. We also ordered Arnold Palmers to drink. We were brought water and told that the tea was almost done brewing, but it wasnt until our food came out that our server said hed forgotten about our drinks and finally brought them out. The food was not as good as I was expecting. The shrimp and grits had some sauce on them that was overpowering and took away from the grits. The pancakes, which are advertised a sweet cream, had almost no flavor at all. And my bacon had clearly been sitting out for a while as it was close to room temp and very floppy. At the end of the day I paid over $60 with the tip for 3 plates of mediocre food and two non alcoholic drinks. Next time I know to save my money and just go to IHOP or Dennys.

Unfortunately, disappointing! Almost, everything we ordered tasted basic and underwhelming. I know everyone has different preferences in flavors but this one just didnt do it for us. Portobello fries $16, soggy, no flavor, the sauce was nice but didnt make up for the lack of everything. $20 Chicken Sandwich which was SO dry that a dog would have a hard time chewing it. and this was for my kids, which, by the way this place is very not kid friendly. The Bass was dry, the pilaf was dry and didnt have much flavor but the broccoli was good. Short Rib was ok, the spicy bbq was nice but I felt like the scalloped potatoes needed to be more of an au gratin, the dish lacked salt, but not wow. The ahi tuna tacos, was another disappointment. Missing a crunchy slaw with some spice. Add some ginger or some sweet chili. The fried Apple Pie was probably the only thing we devoured. Our waitress was very nice, just not as attentive or as excited to be there. Since this was a complete failure in every dish by 5 different opinions, we will definitely not coming back. They need to get with their head chef on some quality control. Even our Appetizer came out before our really expensive ok tasting $15 whiskey drink. I really dont like writing bad reviews, but it wasnt just one thing after another. It was also my husbands birthday and a special night for our family. I hope they reevaluate some things.

This guy should be running the place, smiling, happy, friendly, helpful. Everything a good server should be. Even if something was taking longer than usual, he kept us informed, and always smiled and acted like it was his pleasure to serve us, something other servers could learn from him. But what really turned an 8 visit to a 10, was him going the extra mile and getting me some hot sauce from a neighboring restaurant, I wanted some habanero hot sauce ( I like spicy) they didnt have anything, so he went and got me some next door! WOW! Will absolutely be back, and I hope AJ will take care of us again! Great visit!

Bosscat Kitchen & Libations, I m officially declaring that your inviting and exquisitely decorated establishment is THE locale for Sunday brunch in The Woodlands. Bravo!! I was immediately impressed by the smooth beats that greeted me as I walked inside of the uber chic restaurant and whiskey club. The music had this country boy lockin and poppin it like I was back in da day (ask your parents to explain this statement). I meet my group of lovely friends for our monthly Sunday brunch also known Sunday Funday. Our wonderful server was very helpful and guided us on which dishes to try. I highly recommend the Shrimp and Grits (with creamy Gouda, and Creole spices. Add an egg). For something a little lighter, try the tasty Avocado Toast (with flavorful heirloom tomatoes, and freshly cracked pepper. Also add an egg). You won t go wrong with many of the other delicacies such as the Flap Jacked or Old Faithful. Finally, if their impressive whiskey list is a little more robust than what you re looking for to wash down your amazing meal, Don t. Forget. The. Prosecco! Reservations are strongly encouraged, so bon appetit my friends.

I really like the vibe of this place. I love that they take reservations. I didn t appreciate that we were asked to move because a big party was coming and they needed that table. You didn t know before? When you seated us and also that space was still empty when we left. The food was all good. We loved the chicken dip and the chips it came with. A server offered us more chips because we had dip left over. That was very sweet. Both my and my friends salad was great. We got fried apple pie on a servers recommendation (not ours. She was gone when we needed her) it was delicious!! and I don t like apple pie! Our server was polite but she was a little too attentive and came so many times to check that it got a bit irritating. As many times as she checked on us she didn t fill my water. The chips were brought by another server. A question about the desert and the dessert order was taken by another server. So she checked on us when we had our mouths full of food but didn t sense when we needed her.. it was very strange.. we loved the place and will definitely will be back.

Hi - I had high hopes for this but was not super impressed. Our server was wonderful and kind but the hostess was not friendly nor helpful. The drinks were subpar. Disappointed as I had heard great things.

Music way too loud. When I asked server, she said she had no authority to ask to turn it down. The food very sub par. Very misleading description of item versus what actually came out . When we asked server, she responded she only brings the food out.

Cute spot. Service left me wanting for more. Food is okay? Drinks are inconsistent. My friends old fashioned cocktail was served with a large ice cube. Mine was with a handful of regular ice (which diluted the whiskey rather quickly). The table next to us had Luxardo cherries in their old fashioned. Ours came without cherries. And $7 for canned beer? Meh. Our waitress also knew nothing about the menu, unfortunately. I was instructed to go inside to view the beer menu as apparently its not available for viewing on the patio and your waiter may or may not know whats available on tap.

Weve been here before and it was amazing so decided to go for happy hour. Was sat on the patio and was passed by several waiters and waitresses and not even a hello was given to us for 15 mins. They had plenty of staff but they were all inside chatting. Finally was given the chance to order by a very nice waitresses that could tell I was irritated and ordered an old fashioned. The drink arrived very quickly, took 1 drink and it was by far the worst old fashioned I had ever had. This afternoon was a very sad let down as it was supposed to be a great ending to a bad day that just turned disappointing so we asked for our check and left the drink on the table. Like I said our first trip here was great and really hope this was just an off day for everyone

We had reserved the patio for a private event for our rehearsal dinner about a month out. On top of the event manager being extremely difficult to get a hold of throughout the entire process, 6 days before the event they canceled on us due to rain concerns. They claimed that their patio roof was made of slats and was not fully covered (which is not true) and they were concerned we would be rained out- we were not allowed input in this decision. I firmly believe they just thought they could make more money if the patio was open to the public that night. In case you were wondering, no, it did not rain that day.

Honestly, I wasnt super impressed upon arrival. It was loud and hot. We were seated indoors but on a 90 degree day they had the doors between the patio and inside seating were open. After our arrival another table nearby asked to have the doors shut and it started to cool off. I began with the Good Life cocktail, which was delicious and the pulled pork hush puppies, they could use some seasoning in the batter but the dipping sauce made up for it. For dinner I switched to a Pinot Noir and ordered the short ribs. The sauce on the short ribs was delicious and well balanced with the red meat. The potatoes and green beans were all seasoned and cooked really well. I honestly could have done without the fried onion strings piled on the plate. It would have been a better presentation without them and they dont need the filler. I had the PB&J beignets for dessert which definitely came out hot and fresh. They were a little dense for a beignet but absolutely delicious and worth returning just for them. The wait staff was EXTREMELY attentive! I drink a ton of water with my meals and never had an issue with a refill. I also never had an empty plate, and was asked several times how my meal was. I would definitely recommend this place and will return!

Had my birthday dinner there. Staff were super accommodating, friendly and genuinely nice. Hostess was so helpful when our group ended up being 5 instead of 4. And very quickly found us a bigger table even though they were full. Bartender made us a lovely mocktail off the menu. Food was good. Waitress was very attentive and respectful. Only downside was no free cake for my birthday, it would have been the cherry on top. The bourbon cake however was definitely one to skip! Was overall a lovely meal out with girlfriends.
