Stopped to go for a walk. Creeped walked up the trail with his genitals just hanging out as he walked by me. I then passed another guy who looked super sketchy. I went straight back to my car, but the first guy turned around a followed me. In the parking lot, there were two men just sitting in their cars watching people. I would not go here alone!

The trails are clean and maintained but the signs are long past their prime and unreadable if they even exist. I would always stick to doubling back until youve explored the area. Google maps walking also works if you find yourself in a panic.

Good to walk under shade. There are trails, but going down the creek is more bushy. You can walk down the vehicle road for quicker access to creek. I suggest hiking or hard sole shoes. You can hear the birds all day.

Great place to hike with your dog! Lots of diff trails to take for hiking or biking. A clear map would be helpful, but I can t find any online or on the trails other than the basic trail names. If you get lost most trails lead back to parking lot. Be weary of snakes, we saw several cottonmouth snakes swimming (very venomous). Lots of mosquitoes obv. SO PRETTY AND FUN THOUGH

Needs another sign with the map at the start of the main loop. New users dont see the map that you eventually find at the Nortj end of the entrance spur. We walked the Greenway trail which doesnt state a distance on the post. We walked all the way to I45. Nice walk along the creek bank but when we found the park map online it says the trail is only a mile. Would be nice to mark the end of the trail at the property line. We will be back to walk the other trails. Maybe they are marked better.

Horrible trail signage. Tried to start a hike along the Spring Creek nature trail from this trailhead and there are literally zero signs for this trail along the route. Whenever you encounter a branching trail the signage just says trail in every direction. All tree blazes are the same blue color in every direction. Very disappointing. If you want to enjoy the spring creek trail, start at the western end. It doesnt seem to exist from this starting point. There is signage for several small local loop trails but none for the Spring Creek trail. Very disappointed.

This place is so much fun if it hasn t rained in a while. The water is shallow and clear like little paradise. The dogs and my toddler son absolutely love it here and play for hours. One time we did go a couple days after it rained. The water was deep and not clear. An alligator did pop up about 5 feet from my swimming dog, and about 10 feet from my toddler playing on the beach. It s really a great place, just not when the water is higher.

Theres a nice bank to sit or let kids run around on next to creek where there is clear vision of everyone. I just wished they had trash cans next to parking area

The trail map doesnt quite work correctly.. for the life of us we couldnt figure out thr trails and paths. But it didnt matter to us. It was a nice walk. The things to know are: - Biking: Theres one main drag to take bikes down. - Walking: Tons of walking trails all clearly marked. - Bathrooms: None that we saw. - Water: There is a big stream and some ponds. - Plant life: Tons of different plants and trees all marked to learn while walking. - Topography: Very little, quite flat. - Dog-friendly: Many dogs on leash. Not good for off leash. Although it was apparently a busy day at the trail, because it was New Years Day, it didnt feel busy at all. Very nice. Worth it if you live in Houston or surrounding area.

Just a warning, my husband and I walked down the gravel Path to the bridge and there was a big group of wild hogs. This was about 4 days ago. There is no contact number and I left a message on the web page. Please be careful. It was just on the news that A woman was attacked and killed by farill hogs 40 miles north of here. There were also what looked like hog prints in the sand by the water at the bridge so its possible they could reach the path at the entrance of the ball park!

This area is not manicured, there is a utility road that leads to Panther Creek. Along the way there are several wilderness paths. Some will take you to real nice sections of Panther Creek and if you are adventuresome you can find where it flows into Spring Creek. Other paths meander through the woods. If you are lucky you can find a Geocache near an old wellhead. I like taking my water dogs to play here. If you do too, stay away from the area near the bridge, because there are exposed rebars in chunks of concrete used to shore up the banks. Areas downstream of there have plentiful sand banks with wild animal tracks.

You can walk to cypress creek nature center from here but its not recommended yet. The trail is grown up, but will be connected in the future.

Theres a nice dirt road that we walked our dogs along for a while until we came to the river, which has a large sandy beach for the dogs to play on. Someone was jogging while we were there and I imagine its a great place to go jogging- lots of shade with the trees and no traffic to deal with.
