Great venue to go to. The parking garage in front was 30$. I would recommend getting dropped off or finding farther parking and walking to the venue. If you don t buy any lawn chairs, you re able to bring a blanket to sit on the ground. Getting in was quick and smooth! Even if you sit at the very back on the hill, there s a big screen where you can clearly see the artist

Since this is an outdoor venue, you may have a great experience, or you may have a terrible one - It all depends on the weather! I went to see Glass Animals on SAT, 9/21/24 and the Texas heat was on! Everyone was sweating bad and several people had to be medically assisted out of the venue due to heat exhaustion. Even at night, the weather felt like the high 90s that evening. Not kidding! That same week, I went to see Hozier on WED, 9/25/24 and the weather was PERFECT. Some storms passed through along with a small cold front, and the venue was pristine. There was a cool summer breeze and it felt like the high 70s that evening! The weather was great and the beauty of this venue really shined! The Pavillion lets you bring personal fans for your neck or back. Wear light, vented clothing and check the weather beforehand.

A while back I went to go see the band Imagine Dragons and it was completely packed. There were tons of people and you could see that they people that organized the event did not expect it. For one, every parking lot apart from one was completely full. When me and my family arrived to that last one, a worker told us that if we went a certain direction we could skip the line for the other direction. Little did we know, all of the spaces in that area were full, so we had to leave the parking lot and eventually come back in, this time through the other way around. While at the concert itself, they quickly ran out of concessions at the few stations that there were at the very back and top near the lawn area. Lastly, when we went to the merchandise stand, they were out of stock for almost every shirt in my size. Attached is an image of the view from the lawn at almost the furthest point.

Its a good place to see a concert, but really hot even when youre under the fans. I think they need to turn the fans up a bit to get a breeze going. The drinks and food are also outrageously expensive. Its really the only option to see big name musicians so no competition in the Houston area, theyre not going to improve.

This venue is a pile of crap with how they handle their partnerships with 3rd party ticket sellers. The fact that they are live nation/ticket master makes the experience outside of that a NIGHTMARE. The staff is a mess, no one understand how anything works and it s just so frustrating. Our tickets for hozier were rescheduled and it was a nightmare speaking to the staff at the arena. They have a broken system.

Such an incredible venue we love going and watching concerts here The only thing that kind of sucks is if a lightning storm comes and they make everybody shut down and waste time for the concert which ends up getting cut short. Also be forewarned it is a cashless venue so bring some kind of credit card or something other than cash to pay with.

We walked 15 minutes from the yellow lot to the south entrance, only to be turned away because my bag was too big. After walking to the north gate, there was no issue with the bag size, but we were pulled aside for an extra search and had to go through the metal detector three times. I understand the need for security, but it felt inconsistent, especially since once inside, we noticed larger bags, the smell of weed, and some people even forgot they had Swiss Army knives in their bags. (Yellow bag was turned away black bag was passed through)

Love concerts here, especially in the fall. Nice open lawn area. You can bring in blankets & umbrellas. You can also rent lawn chairs now for $10. Of course, regular seating is still covered & close to stage. $50+ for usual merch. $15 for 2 super tiny tacos (but they have FUNNEL FRIES ) and other regular concessions. Drinks do their job. Its been a few years, but the facility was still well maintained. I like the addition of offering lawn chairs en masses for those in lawn. It was easy to get out of parking after the show, which was nice. My only complaint is that the volume of the show was too low, probably due to being an amphitheater. But, still, hard rock (should) = more volume.

One of only a few #venues that always holds the concerts due to the amount of people it holds. Parking is hell! So many places around the #pavilion will get you towed if you re not careful. However, it doesn t cater well for the disabled. Stairs are everywhere to access the seating or the lawn. Pro Tip: It s going to get hot and sweaty if you get seats lol. The lawn always seems to be cooler. Everything else is what you expect. $50 for a t-shirt, high prices on food and beers, that s why we pregame before we go. Not much choice here, we will go watch who we enjoy. Until next time.

The sound is much h better than it used to be, not sure if noise ordinances changed but its a lot better. Also there are a lot more food and drink choices especially than in the past. It is by far one of the better places to go for shows around Houston.

The concerts are always wonderful here. We usually sit on the lawn and get a rental chair $8-10 extra. It s best to get there early, rent it online in advance at popular concerts or you may not get one. I don t like that we had to wait in line mixed with people who did not have reserved seats to pick up. If you get there late, you will probably be in an excessively long line and you may not even get a chair unless it was previously rented beforehand. You can also bring a blanket to sit on. Drinks and food are expensive. If you dare to bring in a reusable water bottle, there is a possibility they will take it away from you. You can bring one that you don t care about just in case and get water at the water fountains to save money. The water isn t usually cold at the water fountains, so I buy a $2 cup of ice to put in my bottles. I think it s silly that you can t bring a good water bottle in with a lid. At one concert, it wasn t very busy, so they gave us free seats under the pavilion. It was very nice, but actually, I think it was cooler sitting on the lawn when we were there the week before. (It was about 100 degrees.) You can bring in food in a gallon size Ziploc bag. You usually can bring a small umbrella if the weather is bad. It s always good to call the day of the show. If you have any questions on what you can bring in. You can purchase concert T-shirts there, they generally start at $45 and up.

From the scenic greenery that cushions the water reservoirs, to the swan paddle boats, to the trickle of the waterfall and the beauty of the masons stonework it runs down, every detail, methodically placed and perfectly manicured. The winding, walkable pathways are woven amongst the trees organically coelesce and meandor, leading you to the gates at the summit. Once inside, its an inviting food court, spcaious and inviting. You cant help but indulge. The stairs lead you to the top of the mount where you get to see the amphitheater in its full glory in real-time panorama. Your gaze is immediately drawn from top to bottom. The descent down the hills lead you to the front of the house sound booth, elaborately equipped and putting the sound engineers on full display to share their magic. Above them are beautiful white canopies, vast and awe inspiring, that draw your eyes towards the heavens. Their sheer size and big top shapes invoke childlike wonder. Once the music begins echoing from stage to the canvas and upwards to the green grass, it is an accoustic masterpiece, sure to please even the most discriminating audiophile. Its impossible not to marvel in the moment, laying back, closing your eyes, and letting the sound wash over you under the stars. 10 out of 10.

This was our 5th or 6th concert at this venue. The venue as a whole is great. Plenty of parking if you understand ahead of time, parking garages etc. Women purse/bag size is 4.5 x 6.5. This time we had front row center seats, just in front of the pit. We were like man this is incredible until we sat down lol. The height of the seats compared to the pit is about 10. My wife is 52 at best and couldnt see anything. Well we found out that didnt matter as everyone, including us stood for the entire concert. The performer made use of the stage and we literally had the best seats in the house. Everything is expensive, just like any other venue these days. Staff is friendly and helpful. Enjoy

This review is specifically about the food service experience I had and not the rest of the venue: I waited a solid hour just to order food and a drink. It was so absolutely ridiculous, I am having trouble coming up with the words to describe the absolute incompetence of all the staff and the processes involved. I watched in utter disbelief as the young man responsible for the orders in my line attempted to do his job. He looked so thoroughly confused the entire time all I could do was feel sorry for him. As I watched him take several minutes away from taking orders to unwrap the plastic from the margarita glasses and their tops my jaw dropped in what I was actually witnessing. Surely this is something that could have been done before the concert? The answer is painfully obvious. I don t feel like giving another dozen examples of the poorly performed processes and the staff performing them. I will never consider ordering another single item from this venue again. If I have the misfortune of having to see another concert here because I just don t have a choice, I will ensure that I eat and drink before arriving. Of course the cost of the food is absurdly overpriced, but I expect that. Whoever manages the food service at this venue has to be single-handedly the worst food service manager in the country and possibly the world as a whole. I was lucky that I lined up over an hour before the main act started. The hundreds of people still waiting behind me when I got my order were not so fortunate. I did manage to eat my $11 tiny pizza right as the concert was starting and luckily the band (Imagine Dragons) was phenomenal. I can t imagine the amount of money that was lost last night due to the utter incompetence of whoever is in charge of food service at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion .

Went to see Imagine Dragons. Great show, food was great and staff super. The tickets were a bit expensive and we ended up on the grass. We stood inline from 5:30 and was some of the 1st to get in to choose our spot on the grass, got a great spot, until the Imagine Dragons came up at 8:20pm. The staff did their best to keep people from standing in the aisles and hanging on the railings but boy just when one gets removed, 6 more reappear. And people that got there 7:50 have the audacity to squeeze in between an already tight spot where people been waiting for 3 hours ( and choose their spot because they were there early). I feel that the Pavilion should do more to keep these rude people at bay. Giving rules on the website is not good enough. They should make an official announcement before a show start( between the opening band and the featured artist) and have strict consequences. Some kids was asked to get away from the railings (same kids) constantly thought out the whole show, they just waited for the staff to turn their back and boom they back on the railings, right in front of us. I paid a-lot of money for my ticket and I want to watch the show not the back of some rude persons or kids head. Some people I had to ask to please not stand in front of us.

Great concert by imagine dragons, but my beef is with the smoking policy. No smoking policy in the venue, but tons of people with vapes/e-cigs stinking up the lawn and staff not doing anything about it

This venue still sucks. They way over book the events and you have a hard time even finding a spot on the lawn.

I have been to a few concerts here, and each time it was clean, felt safe and the shows were amazing and fun. Love the fact that the venue is open, instead of indoors. Love going to shows at the CWP.

Beer was a bit overpriced and the audio mix was basically all bass. Still a good time!

Not my favorite venue. Most of the people there were dead silent and the volume isn t the best from the grass section. Also getting into the venue was a nightmare.

Saw Sammy Hagar and loverboy. They get you in and out easily, and the beer lines are usually quick.

You can t go wrong with this place. For the record - we ONLY go here if lawn is available. Get your chair, bring your food and buy your drink.

Went to the Falling in Reverse Monstour 2 ft. Black Veil Brides, Tech Nine and Dance Gavin Dance here, the place was huge and fit well over 12000 people. Got a covered seat pretty close to the stage and the sound system was right next to me. The big screens on either side of the venue provided great visuals and it wasnt too crowded where I was. Had never been here before but it was a cool place but definitely hot since its outdoors, once the sun goes down its not so bad. Stayed at the Marriott hotel nearby and the walk from there to the pavilion was super short not even 5 minutes so that was great. Would come here again for another show

The concert was great, the venue is quite nice. Looking forward towards going back eventually. Unfortunately, one of the drink stands seemed to have an absurdly high surcharge that I didnt catch until the next day.

Went to see 30 seconds to mars there. Place was very spacious and even at the lawn area which is furthest to the back it felt very close. No lines in merch areas and people where friendly.
